The "Raptor Boss" is a big pain, but has some neat loot drop (Raptor Mount, Mandokir's Sting, etc).
Strategy:
Form your raid facing him in a semicircle - shoulder to shoulder.
Kill the speaker at the base of the ziggurat and have your MT pull him in.
Have the off tanks take the raptor over to the left and tank him there until the boss is down. If the raptor dies, Mandokir gets an evil buff that doesn't last very long - but does make him hit rather hard.
Have the tank and melee on the raptor boss in front of your semicircle.
During the fight, two interesting things happen:
1. Mondokir will start "Watching" someone. If that person does _anything_ to create threat during this time, Mandokir will charge them. If they die, the Bloodlord will get bigger and meaner (and sometimes yell funny things to the zone). More than a few of these will mean a wipe.
2. Ghosts will stand ready to resurrect players should they die. In general, if you die early in the fight it might be OK to rez. However, if you're already heading toward a wipe, accepting the rez will only add more fuel to the Bloodlord's levelling fire. ;)
Have your raid leaders call out who is being watched (Or get everyone to run a boss mod like BigWhigs or RABoss), and be careful who accepts the ghosts' rez and Mandokir is a fun fight.
PS: If you DO wipe, pay attention to the chat channels after everyone is down. Sometimes some funny exchanges occur among the NPCs.

A few tips our guild picked up...
- After we kill the Raptor, we have mages Detect Magic on Bloodlord, where we can see his enrage. We don't have melee classes move in until after it wears off.
- Have everyone stand on the stone ledge together on the right. The MT tanks Bloodlord near the stone wall, and we stick one Paladin (any class would do) on the far wall across from the raid. The reason is because his charge will go to the furthest person in combat, so he charges the paladin then usually heads off to some random person in the raid. This means he crosses the MT's spot where he will be taunted and tanked, making it much easier.

The way we used to do it, we'd kill the raptor first, and then simply heal the main tank like crazy while Bloodlord's enrage (no, no hunters, that can't be tranquilized) held up. It's very important to have a priest power word: shield the main tank when he gets mortal striked, as that helps keep him alive a bit more until the healers kick in.
As far as I've heard by the way, sometimes Bloodlord would shout: "DING!" whenever he killed someone and levelled. And at times, after shouting "DING!", he'd be congratulated by Jin'Do the Hexxer: "GRATS!"

I would just like to enforce the idea that the raptor should not be killed before Mandokir. Simply have two tanks switch between tanking the raptor by using taunt when they get 3-5 sunders on them (yes, the raptor can sunder you). Have two healers designated to healing those warriors, let them do their thing off in a corner. The raptor is easy to tank and keep on the back burner. Everyone else should concentrate on mandokir, all the dps and everything. It's good to have two tanks on mandokir, too (yes, you should have 4 tanks in a ZG raid, has never failed my guild). Let the main tank get 10 sunders on him. I know it doesn't stack up to ten times, but if you wait for him/her to count up to ten, that should build enough threat on the tank that the dps can go all out (remember, if mandokir watches the main tank, he can't taunt off of you or he'll die!). If the main tank does happen to lose aggro while he's being watched, the second tank on mandokir can taunt (he should already have sundered five times to be second in threat). By switching between tanks like this, and allowing them to build up a stockpile of threat, the fight goes MUCH smoother. My guild is currently working on MC, less than half of our members have 4 or more of their tier 1 pieces, and we still kill mandokir without a single death nearly every time we face him. I'm not saying other strategies don't work, but this is the one I've used every time, and I've never seen it fail.

There is another stratagy but it is probably considered an exploit (although a lot of guild are using it, and blizzard hasn't done anything so... yeah).
Here is what you do: First, you have a mage sheep the ambassador. Then you have the entire raid (except the main tank) run up the staircase and then jump down onto the little ledge. Then, you have the MT kill the ambassador. Then the boss will aggro the tank. The raptor, however, will just sit there and stare at you funny while the raid beats down on the boss using ranged attacks. If he watches someone, that person just immediately stops DPS. They SHOULD be fine if they stop right away. If they get teleported, they just run back up the i stairs and hop back down to the ledge. This effectively takes the raptor out of the encounter, and you only have to deal with the boss. Once the boss is down, everyone (and I mean everyone) hops down on to the ground and takes out the raptor.

It has always seemed to me that Mandokir was too much of a total hardass to care about anyone's strategy. In the very beginning of ZG you could bug his raptor out on the fence. Later they removed the fence, and people began to bug his raptor out on his temple. Both of these methods are dubious at best, and not honorable in the least. After the fence was removed players who still feared the unending wrath of the Bloodlord tried standing behind the few remain spikes in a vien effort to waylay Mandokir. It doesn't work. He doesn't care about your tricks and he doesn't care about you. The trick of the fight is that Blizzard realized how tough and awesome Bloodlord is, and added the Chained Spirits. They let you resurrect during the fight, but everytime someone dies Bloodlord's power grows, and so does he. So depending on your raids gear, and overall skill level you can't take too many deaths. All in all the best strategy is to have an offtank hold the raptor while you dps it down, and have your entire raid spread out far from each other. This way when Bloodlord charges and then AoE fears, everyone won't be caught in it. After that you basically dps him down, watching out for aggro drops when he intercepts, and the occasional shout out.
After wiping using silly tricks and schemes you may harken back to the words of ole' Vanndar Stormpike "Why don't you try without your cheap tactics, pansies? Or are ya too chicken?"

You can esay kill him with lvl 70, get a tank and a healer maybe some dps guy
- healer get on the pyramid (to avoid charging), kill the raptor first and pray that sunder don't stack to high
- took us 40 mins with prot pally + restro druid, sad no mount drop

Me and 3 friends decided to take him down to see if we could get the mount. We were mostly in blues and a handful of epic gear between us. We had a warrior to tank, Pally healer and a Shadow priest and my hunter dps ing. It took maybe 2 minutes to take out the raptor and a further 10 minutes to take out Mandokir himself. Its easy to do just remember to clear the adds and say a prayer for the mount to drop, which it didnt on our first attempt. Just follow the standard tips for the boss and you'll be fine. I was used as the charge soaker as I could be out of range and it allowed out tank room to intercept him after the charge and try and pull back the aggro.

Very easy to two man. I am resto, full vengeful. The other druid is feral tier 4/5 tanking gear.
We stealth to him (my stealth level is NO problem) then buff up next to the wall with no packs and the troll urn.
He kills the troll to activate the event.
Kill the pet.
Then Bloodlord enrages, this is the hardest part of the fight and your healer should have a PvP trinket equiped as being cahrged, feared, hit, sweeping strike, can hurt a lot.
His "Threatening Gaze" isn't an issue and it's uncommon for the healer to pull agro.
Should take about 40 minutes including stealth running.

i wouldnt say 2manning is per say EASY - but doable with alot of mana regen.
you stealth - or get to w/e the boss and kill troll
the healer gets on the middle ledge under where the raptor boss is
DPSer(tanker) attacking the boss, the raptor will evade onto the healer

Duoed Mandokir; druid/priest.
Didn't bother killing the raptor first, his damage isn't much. Just keep focus on Mandokir and down him. Then kill the raptor. Took us 25 mins including killing some trash on the way in there.

Duo'd him with Rogue tank (Dodge gear, Subtlety spec) and a Paladin healer.
Took 15 minutes or so, bugging out the raptor and putting him into evade..
Dropped Raptor mount first time trying. :-P

Did with the same glitch, on the second terrance, and managed to kill the boss, then raptor. Only problem we found was that the raptor kept swapping targets back to our tank who was below.

just killed him today, didnt know about the glitch so we killed the raptor first, after witch we focused on the bloodlord himself.
the group was a feral druid tank (me) a holy paladin and a hunter.
took us about 10 min to down the boss. its lenghty but doable.
could probably have 2 man him but i doubt our paladin had the mana regen. as he only had 20% mana left when we killed him.
so far no mount yet.

The encounter seems to be bugged with the ghosts not resurrecting holy priests with the Spirit of Redemption talent. A workaround that can be used is to cancel the Spirit of Redemption buff before it runs out. This should make the ghosts once again offer to resurrect you.

With Tier 4+ gear this guy is soloable by warlocks using the pyramid bug to despawn the raptor. Using a Voidwalker, CoW augmented by Improved CoW, Shadow Embrace from Affliction DoTs and the various demon upgrades in the Demo tree, you can mitigate a lot of his damage making it easy to health funnel through his hits. I regularly kill him for a chance at getting the Razzashi Raptor mount.

While you can technically zerg him, I don't recommend it. Just keep your MT alive. He will run around and randomly kill people, but the main damage still goes to MT. If you zerg him, it means your entire party will end up with screwed up gear.
A thing to know:
If you Offtank the raptor, it will pierce your offtanks armor, reducing it by 75%, he will require a lot of healing. Should your offtank die, the raptor will run loose and kill everyone in 2-3 hits.
If you kill the raptor, the Bloodlord gets 50% higher attack speed. Still, this is better, because you can focus your heals on the main tank only.
Strategy.
Main Tank tanks him, Off tank takes the raptor.
Kill his raptor, doesn't take long. Everyone moves to Bloodlord. Use light DPS, no overnuking. Keep your MT above 50% at all times due to Mortal Strike (you need a real main tank, just valor set won't cut it). Bloodlord will charge people and kill them. Try to keep people alive, but deaths are normal at first. As mentioned before, if you die, you will get ressed but the boss becomes stronger.
Things to note:
When his debuff is on you, he is watching you. If you attack him during that time, the chances of you surviving longer than 5 seconds are not very high.
Even though you get ressed, you get a 10% durability hit every time you die. If the fight looks bad, don't take the rest. You'll end up with completely screwed up gear.
The fight itself isn't very hard, it just looks very bad because he keeps running around.
Dropped 2 blues and an epic quest item for us.

We decided, if the ghosts rez you and your about to wipe, best idea is to rez after the fight. Also when he lvls he yells out "DING!". Very strange event occured. Jin'do the Hexxer on the other side of the place yells out "GRATZ". We all stop and go "WTF IS GOING ON?" We took him down tho. Dropped some sweet rogue gloves and the snake bow

This fight is about managing aggro, when it comes down to it. Seperate from the way he watches people, he'll occasionally charge random people. This charge reduces his aggro on the MT, so the situation we often had was that he'd charge, then make a beeline straight to a mage or a hunter and one-shot them. It took a few tries to convince them to tone down how much aggro they were causing, but in this fight it's really better to cause half as much damage and not die than it is to do full damage and die eight times.
Controlled, slow damage is the key. Cast half as many spells. Don't use aimed shot. Use your wand. Feign death.
Other notes: it makes things easier for your MT to get aggro back after a charge if you have your group clump up, just outside of whirlwind/cleave range. The downside is that he may whirlwind your entire raid - the upside is that he won't have time to go on a rampage when he doesn't use whirlwind. We tried the strategy with standing on the wall by the spikes, but we rejected it after a couple of tries, because it makes it very difficult for the MT to get close enough to pull aggro back. Our final positioning was over on the hill to the right of the entrance.

So get your mages to Amplify Magic on at least all the melee, to maximize healing. It can be a marathon fight for the healers and anything that helps maximize our mana pool helps.

Groupneeds:
1 Warrior with shield and a good load of hitpoints
1 Offtank warrior or overarmored druid in bearform
4 Healers with 200+ spirit and mana potions
0 to 14 other players dealing damage or additional healing
Runthrough:
Main tank holds boss and gets healed by 2 or more.
Offtank holds raptor and gets healed by 2 or more.
Rest attacks the raptor
When the raptor is about to die, 3 or more healers start healing main tank with 1000-1200 heals, chained!
After he's raged out, healers rotate their healing duties so at least two of them are regaining their mana (SIT DOWN!), use mana potions when things get critcal.
Rest attacks the boss.
Be able to endure this, counter his abilities writen below properly and eventually he'll die.
Boss abilities
Watch somebody
With random intervals he'll cast a debuff on somebody which makes him being watched. If you are being watched you must stop anything that causes aggro; meaning: Healing, debuffing, buffing, potion drinking, bandaging, dealing damage and cleasing. You may move, you may jump, you may pull additional adds (not recommended though) and I think you even may heartstone out. That being said; there is always a person who fails to do that but don't panic, if you proceed carefully, your main tank will still hold aggro and only one person gets charged with a short stun and about 300 damage (even for a cloth wearer).
After the boss has charge that person, which is always the one furtest away from him; everyone will have EQUAL aggro now. Now most of the time people are still casting arcane missiles when this happens and ofcourse they get on top of his aggrolist, the main tank is standing at the other side of the battlefield and needs to run after a lose cannon, meanwhile boss is in the middle of clothwearers, probably does his AE, healers try to salvage what's still alive and do prayers, causing even more aggro. In short, you got a messy situation and its likely that you'll lose some players until the main tank has the aggro back, but by then you got another idiot who forgot he was being watched ofcourse.
Quick reactions help ofcourse and some raids stand on the wall with spears, jumping down whenever he comes so the main tank doesn't have to run a marathon and sticks the boss to him with a single taunt. That's a tactic that works but still a few flaws in it from time to time since people get stuck in the spears, forget to jump, think he's on somebody else, ... a guild could pull this off easly, a pick up group won't.
This is what I prefer: Get a hunter at back so that he will guarantied be charged whenever somebody screws up. Right in front of him you set your offtank who is auto attacking the boss melee so he will be the first one to hit him after his charge. Now your offtank has aggro, the rest of the group should be aware that they need to stop all damage for a moment and you can get your act together now. You can use your main tank to get the aggro back of the offtank, or simply switch rolls till the next screwup.
Enrage
After his raptor dies, he'll become enraged. Meaning he'll deal more damage and your tank is getting beaten very hard. With chainhealing you can keep him alive, even if you forgot to bring priests and only have druids, paladins or shamans with you. (Priests are overrated to be honest, with our first succesfull attempt we didn't had any with us and we aren't purple equiped eighter)
Whillwind attack
Once in a while he starts spinning, which indicates you got a PBAE attack incoming. Rogues, paladins, feral druids, shamans, staffwielding mental priests, ... BACK OFF! Only the main tank should be hit by this. You got about 3 seconds to clear the area, if not you get some nasty damage on you. If that happens, don't be a manadrain and bandage yourself together!
Execute, overpower, mortalstrike,...
See any warrior guide.
Leveling
Everytime somebody dies he'll gain XP! Since he's been there for a while, he'll have a lot of rested XP too, meaning he will level up fast. If some of you die and the 'General Zul'Gurub' channel will look something like this:
Mandokir: DING!
Hakkar: Gratz!
Gri'lek: Well done! Grats
Mandokir: DING AGAIN! ROFL ^^
Jin'do: FFS, cheating FOTM class XD
and so on. Keep your casualties to a minimum. On the other had, the place is loaded with spirithealers who'll provide you a free ress. I think you can ress unlimited times however since the boss is leveling, he will only get stronger, hit harder, kill you easier and in the end you are just feeding him while your repairbill reaches a new dimension. My advise: Keep ressing but use your bains so you don't get resskilled. At a certain point the boss will be to strong and deal over 2k damage on a tank (non-critical) and you might as well give up so he resets.
Additional notes
You can offtank the raptor and kill the boss first to prevent him becoming enraged. Although, I highly recommend starting raids NOT to do it this way.
Tranqility shot MIGHT cancel his enrage, so if you have it, use it. We tried it a few times against him before but hard to tell if it makes a diffrence.
Healers should be aware that a lower rank heal might be less mana efficient then their maximum rank heal, but it's more likely to be wasted in overhealing.
Healers should also precast long casting heals on the main tank if they aren't resting. If the tank gets damaged, he will almost get instantly healed. If he isn't damaged enough, cancel your spell in the end and start precasting again. This is called chainhealing if you do it at diffrent intervals with multiple healers.
Don't forget to take the Jinxed Hoodoo Pile after you killed him. It's somewhat behind his temple.
I'm not native English so if you have a problem with all my spelling mistakes, mail it to georgewbush@whitehouse.gov because he cares.
Give this post a positive rating if it was helpfull to you.

First, a quick rundown of his abilities (redundant, but saves the scroll time):
Threatening Gaze
Bloodlord Mandokir will randomly watch raid members for 5 seconds. This spell cannot be interrupted. When being watched, it is imperative that you immediately stop spell-casting/attacking. Do not think he won't notice your heal going off right as he watches you. Do not think he didn't see you sneak in that last sinister strike. You have angered him for the last time and he will do horrible things to you because of it. Finally, do not sit down because in the unfortunate case that he decides to charge you, you will be crit.
Whirlwind
An AoE attack that generally hits for 4-digits' worth of damage. Bloodlord Mandokir will spin around and after three seconds, hit anyone within 5 yards of him. Any melee that is not tanking should run through him or strafe to the side to get out in time--backing up will not get you out to safety.
Mortal Strike
Imagine getting hit by the Hand of Ragnaros by a warrior in full Wrath gear. Then multiply that by three.
Charge & Intimidating Shout
Every so often, Bloodlord Mandokir will charge someone off in the distance. Depending on the amount of aggro he has, he will run back to the main tank or in the worst case, intimidating shout and proceed to slice faces.
His charge range follows the same restrictions as a warrior's: it has an 8-30 yard range.
Enrange & Levelling
If you have ever seen a screen of people fighting Mandokir where all you see is a giant troll foot, the screen is probably genuine. With enough deaths, Mandokir will continue levelling and growing in size. With each "level" he will hit harder and wipe aggro more often and be harder to get back.
--------------------------------
Defeating Mandokir
Waste no mana or cooldowns killing the Speaker. Mandokir will come down when the Speaker dies and dismount from his raptor.
With proper healing, it is better to just kill Ohgan the raptor rather than off-tanking. The raptor sunders armor and attacks very quickly, along with having a tendency to claw nearby healers. When the raptor dies, healers need to work extra hard keeping the main tank up for the next 45 seconds as Mandokir enrages at the sight of his dead raptor. NOTE: you cannot tranq shot his enrage, sorry.
The fight against the Bloodlord depends largely on a raid group's positional discipline. The raid should form a loose circle/semi-circle around the MT and Mandokir. Aside from his charge, Mandokir will not wipe aggro and even then, his charge is generally brought on by people wandering too far away from him, giving him a target to charge to and subsequently assault. Raid members need to be careful and control DPS.
The raid can get surprisingly close to Mandokir and still be safe. In fact, it is recommended that the people further away from Mandokir are hunters, who will shoot from 8 yards away. Continue to DPS him dead.
If you should die to Mandokir for whatever reason, it is often better to simply take the resurrection offered to you by the chained spirits unless told otherwise. If Mandokir has dinged over 3 times, it is generally not a good idea to res if you are missing more than a 3rd of your raid group--or if your main tank dies. Priests in some groups have purposely suicided on Mandokir to res with full health and mana...a practice which is not recommended unless you have the entire fight under total control.

It is very nice to know what kind of attacks he has, but actually it does not really matter since you just have to either do dmg, or heal.
Possitioning:
Mages, warlocks and dmg dealing priests should stand on the small wall, on the corner. Do not stand behind the spears. You have to be able to jump off quickly.
Hunters, healers, tanks, rogues, spread a little bit, but be sure to stay in range of the clothies up the wall.
The stages:
The fight has 3 stages.
1. Kill the speaker. (just stun as much as possible so healers dont spend any mana. Dies quickly.)
2. Kill the raptor.
3. Kill bloodlord.
Just pull the speaker. The bloodlord will stay on his place. Just stun the speaker, and kill him as fast as possible. Don't spend mana on him.
When the speaker dies, the bloodlord will come with his raptor. Just put MT on him, and an OT on the raptor. Give OT a little time to get agro, then just nuke the raptor. Let main healers heal, and let other healers not heal in this stage. Paladins should just help getting the raptor down and save their mana.
Just before the raptor dies, paladins should step back, and start spam healing the MT with small heals. Even when the MT has full health, just keep healing for about 1 minute. During this, the main healers can probably /sleep to regain mana (when the paladins are equipped to heal ofc. If they are not, don't invite them to raids, cause a dmg dealing pala is of no use in ZG). The spam healing the MT should be doable with about 3 healers.
After a while, the bloodlord cools down, and you can resume the normal fight.
Bloodlord is actually really easy when you know how to fight him. Just press when he "watches" you. If you keep attacking him when he watches you, he charges you, and kicks your butt big time! You DO NOT have to stop healing when he watches you. Trust me, I'm a good healer, I know.
Sometimes he charges randomly, and returns to the MT. For leater+ it doesnt really matter, but clothies will get alot of dmg when it happens to them. This is why they stand where they stand. On the corner of the small wall. The thing is that Bloodlord cannot charge them there. He has to walk all the way around the spears, and then he can charge. When he is walking around the spears once in a while, the clothies should just jump off, and the bloodlord walks back. At this point the MT will go get his agro back, and clothies walk around, to their original spot on the wall.
Usefull to know:
- Bloodlord "ding"'s when people die. He grows bigger and stronger every ding. At some point, he will be able to kill you with one hit. Even warriors can be one hitted if you die to much. When he dings very very much, he becomes so huge, that he is slow as hell. You can just kite him around, and dps the living jesus out of him. But if he gets to someone, he will 1 hit you to death. We don't want to come to this point. Just don't die.
- You get ressed. There are some ghosts that will ress people who died. But this is limitted since the ghosts are limitted.
- Heal wisely. Heal as less people as possible. Let people use their first aid skills whenever possible. They might need one or two flash heals, but first aid ftw!
- Bloodlord is a warrior, so he does not have any spells. You do not need to dispell / cleanse / anything.
- Use the ressings wisely. Off course the MT and healers should use the ress, but some classes should wait. Rogues tend to die very quickly at this boss. If a rogue dies, resses, he prolly will die again very soon. We don't want that, cause then the boss dings again. Just be more carefull, or just stay down till near the end.
Bleg, I'm bored of writing, but I think I've told everything now...

Mandokir has a minimum and maximum range at which he can charge (8-30 yards, I believe), and for his charge he will choose the target that is in his range but is the furthest away from him. We had tried this tactic long ago, but it never seemed to be valid, but it's worked for us for the last two months or so. Now, as the offtank, after the raptor is killed I stand away from Mandokir close to the 30-yard mark while everyone else circles around him out of range of the whirlwind. He choses me as his charge target each and every time.
As a bonus, when he fears it's immediately after a charge, so often he's out of range from the other party members when he blows his fear.

For those that are curious, the buff he gets when his raptor dies is +250 damage and a 60% attack speed increase. I didn't time it; it feels like it lasts forever, but it does wear off.
Detect magic does have its uses. :)
Edit: The attack speed increase is 60%

Had some trouble with LoS when our healers stood up behind the spears. If you have dwarf priests, they cant get LoS. If all your healers/MT are Nelves, it might work though.
What seems to be the solution to win this fight is absolute discipline to stop DPS when you get the watching Debuff.
Also, I think keeping the raptor alive isnt very smart for raids that arent uber-geared. That thing does nasty damage.

My guild has had Nefarion on farm for months, but this guy has been buffed to the hilt recently it seems. We take at least 3 attempts to get him down. It's ridiculous, his drops arent even that good. Screw Bloodlord and his crap drops, we will farm BWL since its much easier thank you.

We had been using the spear wall tactic to prevent charging on our ranged DPS. Last night, we had to go back to the traditional 'ranged DPS on the slope' strat. He was continually charging behind the spears and was creating alot of problems. Tanks were having trouble picking him back up, so we scattered everyone around on the slopes like we had done originally when fighting him. Tanks had an easier time getting him back under control (no walls/spears to chase Mandokir around). We think they put in a stealth fix so that he would path/charge ranged dps behind the spears. Anyone else with a similar experience?

This is an easy Boss. You just got to slow tank him. Do not try to kill him fast becuase it will piss him off.

My guild had a lot of trouble trying to off-tank the raptor, so we decided to do things the simple way and killed the raptor outright. It worked MUCH better for us. Fewer things to pay attention to = better overall performance.
Here's another thing. We don't put all of our caster/DPS types up on the spear wall, we had some hanging around the entrance to the chamber he's in. That way, when they got watched, they could just pop around the corner and break LoS that way. That works, too.
This guy's a barrel of laughs, very fun encounter. Just try not to let your repair costs get too high, alright?

"Not a Tank? On the Wall!"
And it works, twice a week...

Killed him many times...
The most important of all is to kill the boos 1st then the raptor...
If you kill the raptor 1st, he become enraged and...=wipe.(if you have good healers that won't happen :)
If you are being watched, click ESC key 3-4 times and step back...
I did it with 3 priests 1 druid 2 palas 2 more warriors 3 hunters 3 mages 2 locks and 3 rogues... (it was a PuG and the the other's gear was crap!

About 10 whipes before when our guild has tried him but now we got him. He very much seems to reset all the aggro when he charges so just cutting the whole DPS when he rushes to casters will make this fight super-easy. It also tests a lot of main tank's gear more than skill of the party.
The spear tactic definitely DOES NOT suit us. Its extremely hard to taunt him away when he is behind the spears. Our casters hang around the left wall from the doorway and nuke.

We downed the bloodlord on Tuesday April 11, 2006 without using the wall exploit. After having one of our players AFK we noticed that this person kept being marked. We also noticed that they were the furthest from the group. We decided to move the bloodlord closer to the AFK person and have everyone gather around the bloodlord just outside of his melee range.
We started the fight by promptly downing the bloodlords raptor which then puts him into his rage phase. At this point all heals were in myself(MT) and I was running and jumping to try and avoid all attacks by him I could. Once his rage disappears he is no problem tanking.
So the strategy in plain english is as follows.
1. Form a semi-circle around the MT and the OT. Have everyone besides melee just outside of the bloodlords range. Anyone who is standing far away will most surely be marked and or charged.
2. If you're marked don't attack.
3. Down the raptor promptly.
4. Spam heals on the MT when the raptor dies and have the MT jump around and move to avoid more attacks then normal.
5. Slowly DPS The bloodlord and be ready to taunt if he goes after anyone besides the MT. If he does and you are all within the small semi-circle around the tank...the tank will only have to move a few steps to taunt rather then running all over the area to try and catch the BL.
I hope this helps everyone who is having a hard time with the BL. Remember to crowd him just outside of his melee range and you will see very minimal charging and be successful at killing him every 3 days.

My guild ran this last night.
13 of us, mostly non epic equipped.
He dropped the Idol / Sting / BD Grips / and Aegis..
We decided to kill the Raptor first as we didnt have 3 tanks (only 2 prot spec'd warriors). If your healers "over-heal" through the rage portion of the fight its easier IMHO to just get rid of the raptor.

.. don't die on him - you can make it, if you can keep the number of people dying down to about 4-5 persons (at least after you've killed his mount). It's easy for healers to go low on mana, so they might consider doing a suicide on him, get ressed by the spirits & then start from the top.
Also, if you get the message that hee's watching you, STOP ALL DAMAGE/HEALING! Otherwise you'll recieve a hit that 'll instakill you .

This guy is a super fun fight.
To Kill him last night we seperated the raptor, and killed it.
Then carefully beat down bloodlord, taking special precaution NOT to die. Get more than 2-3 people dying and he becomes nearly impossible. When people die, there is a chance he will level up... He gets stronger.
Dropped halbred of smiting, primal tabard, and primalist's seal.

IMO the easiest way to do this is to actually tank bloodlord up behind the spears and have the DPS on the path along with the raptor tank.
If you position the MT right you can still heal from below.
What my group does is throws all the healing onto the MT for the enraged period - anyone runs OOM they can just suicide.
5-6 deaths won't make him go uberbuffed.
NOTE: All melee dps should have potions, bandages and if possible healthstones to stay alive this fight as he butchers melee who aren't healed - 2k whirlwind hits suck hard.

Today was the first time our guild fought him.
It took us 6 attempts but we finally got him down. Our main problem was alot of people were agroing him when he was watching them. So he broke agro from the MT way too much and killed too many people to be even considered attemptable.
After the raid leaders finally got everyone into line, it was a smooth fight where only two people died *And res'd from the spirits around the area*
Also, I figured it should be noted that only our healers were on the spear wall whilst ranged DPS was on the grassy patch next to the door.
He dropped only caster items though -_-'... typical eh?

Yup we noticed that too. He always charges the furthest person from the spot that he's being tanked. The best method we've come up with is as follows
Decoy is usually a paladin (since he can heal himself, has decent armor and can heal the tank from his decoy position)
We tank Mandokir on the path in front of where the spears used to be, the whole raid stands on the wall (not but 10 yards from Mandokir). Then the paladin stands on the opposite side of the raid by the wall (where the priest / blood drinkers where standing). This allows the paladin to still heal the tank, and himself.
Mandokir will always charge the pally, since the pally is not with the group once mandokir meanders about after the charge, the MT can walk over and pick him up then bring him back to the same tank spot.
Makes it rather easy at that point.
Setup would look like this
(Group)------(MT)----------------------------(Paladin)
Important that the pallys distance from the MT is greater than the MT to the group
The other nice part about this is Mandokir will do a fear for everyone standing next to the person he charges ...if the person he charges is alone no one gets feared ;-)

17-man pickup raid took him down last night for fun (I think we had 17 at that point, anyway, we did have a full 20 at some point during the raid). It's not hard as long as you don't do anything while he's watching you.
As for why you don't want to let anyone die, yes, he levels up. He yells "Ding!" and Jin'do the Hexxer (if you haven't killed him) yells "Grats mon!". A full wipe at this boss will make him impossible to kill and you might as well wait for it to reset.

The easiest way is to stand on the wall. that way you avoid most damage and charging.
Also he has been buffed after the patch i still don;t find him hard. Just take the raptor down fast. And put all healing on MT. Then send the rogues in and the raidleader should watch there health and tell them when they need to use a potion or bandage. We killed him on first try and we almost don;t have any whipes at him. He is still very easy also after the patch. Just everyone needs to listen and stop attacking when he is marked and everyone needs to Stop attacking When MT is marked. No trouble at all.

We dropped him today on Cenarion Circle.
Here was our strategy.
This fight is all about the spears(you know, *the mosh pit* looking thingy off to the left.) Position your healers up on the ledge of there, this way everybody but the melee's are out of line of sight of the *watching* debuff. The raptor is distracting shotted off the maintank and lured over behind where the healers are standing, near the ogre dummy totem thing in the mosh pit. We put 5 man group of healers and a tank on the raptor. *IT IS IMPORTANT NOT TO KILL THE RAPTOR BEFORE THE BLOODLORD. If you do this the Bloodlord goes into a frenzy and does about 20% more extra damage. Bloodlord must drop first and THEN the raptor. Once again, kill the bloodlord BEFORE the raptor.
The Bloodlord is tanked in the middle of the path, just outside of the spear mosh pit cell thing. If somebody gets "watched" it is important that they
a.) get out of line of sight
or b.) dont touch him.
When he hits you while being watched he critted one of our hunters for about 10,000 damage.
Bloodlord also does a whirlwind aoe thing, which is similar to rend. just strife to one side to avoid this, pretty easy.
Oh, and another thing, don't die. He levels up everytime so many people die, basically making him a god and unbeatable. Accept the rezzes, as they do not penalize you for anything, but are there to help you out. He only gets stronger when you die, but not when you rez.
I hope this helps, and healers, bring mana pots, innervate and mana tides, and good luck, it's a very long fight. If any of you have question about this strategy we will have a video posted soon which I will link.
By the way, our loot was

So far,my guild has been using the usual strategy - Kill the raptor, spam heal on the MT while he's enraged, press ESC if he watches you,and don't stand too far away.
It takes usualy 2-3 wipes to get people concentrated enough while using that strat. But last night,it just didn't work. Our MT kept loosing aggro while he charged at random people, wiping half our casters and healers.
So we tried this way.
Tank Mandokir in that "training ground",and raptor away from him.Kill the raptor first of course, and as usual - spam heal on the MT.Now,to avoid charges, get your casters one by one to go UP THE PYRAMID,ONTO THE PLATFORM.When all of the casters are up,start getting your healers there. Our MT died fast so I took over, did a fine job and it wasn't too hard seeing that he didn't charge at people who were far away because they were out of reach.
Took a while,went down pretty smooth :)

the spear area exploit doesnt work anymore in case your wondering why because of recent patches, but this set up will set you right if your having problems. Killing mar li beforehand will make men and women of you and make this fight contain less wipes trying this tactic;)
