So, I got this item off of a drop and went to the teleporter location. There was nothing to click on and the item in my bags wasn't usable. Any ideas?

The rares must have a lengthy respawn, as I got one earlier and have been camping the other teleporter and it hasn't been active for me to click.

Teleporters have a 1 hour cooldown and the teleporter that is active alternates.

Would be nice if they made these sellable, or usable other than on the two portals. I keep getting them dropped and they just stack up in your mailbox if somebody else activates the portals every day. Seems dumb to just delete them.

honestly don't waste your time buying these.
You would get so many that you wouldn't notice u hit the cap till your mail icon pop up.
wish u could sell it since the portals are only up per hour and once some 1 else use their key your would gather dust.
they should had made this a vendor buy only or added 3-4 more rares for it and shorter cd on portals.

I have 9 of these in my bags, I'm T5 and I cannot open any of the gates. Not anymore, I could do it before.

These are not "use" items. There does not happen to be anything to activate even if there is a star symbol where one of the bosses has appeared.

I have 23 in my bags from drops and I am Tier 4. There does not seem to be any way of using them. What a pointless item if only select few people are able to use them.

Blizzard cannot seem to get its act together.

For anyone who has been unable to activate/ repair the Teleporters a kind player explained tonite, after she activated the one I was standing on, while I was looking it up here on this page... failing to find how to use the Teleporter Repair Kit :D lol

A lot of confusion about this item/event so here's how things went down for me, hope this is useful for you guys.

First, you probably won't need to buy a repair kit at all since they drop relatively frequently as you progress with the Korthia, and the Archavist storylines in the zone. Make sure you get your hits in on spawned rare, and loot all the little chests around, and you should be golden before you are able to use these teleporters. Now, some people state that you don't need to be at the tier level 3 (when you do the prequest for these rares/loot items that the teleporter grants access to - however I would suggest not bothering with that since the rare mobs meant for party play, and because I am unsure if whether they will even credit if you do them too soon.

My reasoning for this is that I handed in two of the T2 drop item quests early on in Korthia questline when I was still on T1, and although I did get the rep, when I unlocked T2, I had to fetch them again to count as part of the collection. Bare in mind, this was the night before reset, so iunno if that was the cause, or whether they really just don't count in you hand in early - put these harder quests aren't something you wanna test that out on.

Anyways. You'll need to hang around in the area the teleporters are with your repair kits at the ready. Pass time by farming mobs nearby, and collecting chests - you can get drop items for mount handins at either place - until your chosen teleport activates. It will start off blank, then change to a slightly lighter shade, and the cog interaction symbol will pop up on the mouse-over. Here's the most important part:

Make a note of the timestamp when you repair the teleporter

Once activated, you can slip in, loot the item (if it's the bag you won't aggro the rare, but the other one is sitting on top, so just grab it and exit the teleporter again - it won't despawn, but you'll lose aggro and can get back inside - then either form a party, or simply wait for people to show up since the repair is announced in general chat.

Kill rare, loot item leave. Job done.

Now, for your second teleporter, you will need to wait an hour from the point of your first teleporter's repair. This is why we made note of it earlier. You can either do something else, or wait it out. upto you. In an hour's time, the second teleporter should become active, and you can repeats as previously. For me, since I whsipered an offline friend on B-Net asking if they wanted in when I fixed the teleporter, the in-game version had the time stamp as per my add-on, even though my general settings have it switched off. :)
