Elemental Shaman is a jack-of-all-trades, especially utility, having the single best ranged interrupt in the game . We have exceptional AoE and single target damage, and are versatile in other combat situations, including burst AoE, sustained AoE, single target DPS, and the ability to pool resources to quickly switch to a priority target. Elemental Shamans bring a huge variety of utility to dungeon groups with crowd control in

Elemental Shaman Utility

- Calls forth a Greater Earth Elemental to protect you and your allies for 1 minute. This spell paired with the

talent allows you to gain control of the elemental as if it were a combat pet, granting it extra abilities and becoming 80% stronger. This also allows you to essentially kite like a tank if you use a pet movement macro (/petMoveTo).

- A polymorph curse effect that lasts 1 minute. This does not heal the target polymorphed, and also has a damage threshold before the CC breaks.

- Summons a totem at the target location, charging up for 2 seconds and then stunning all enemies within 8 yards for 3 seconds. The cooldown can be reduced by up to 20 seconds with the

- Summon an earth totem at the target location for 20 seconds, and slows the movement speed of enemies within 10 yards by 50%. This can also be used as a combat starter for invisible mobs such as the

- An AoE knock back that sends enemies quite far. Be careful using this ability as it requires some correct positioning to not negatively affect the position the mobs end up in. The added slow is also useful when the tank calls for a knock back to help kite.

- Summons an earth totem at the feet of the caster for 10 seconds, removing Fear, Charm, and Sleep effects from party and raid members within 30 yards. This is useful on bosses like

- Interrupts the target's spell casting and prevents any spell in that school from being cast for 3 seconds. Not only is this a 30 yard ranged interrupt, but it also has the lowest interrupt cooldown in the game at 12 seconds.

- Purges the enemy target, removing 1 beneficial magic effect. This dispel is spammable, limited only by your mana pool.

- Our most well known spell. Increases Haste by 30% for all party and raid members for 40 seconds.

- This spell's knockdown effect does not contribute to the diminishing returns for other CC spells and can knock down almost all enemy units within dungeons except for mini bosses and some elites. The "knockdown" effect an prevent un-interruptible spells from being cast.

- A single target spell that slows the target by 50% for 6 seconds.

- Resurrects a fallen ally, restoring them to life with 35% maximum health and mana. Cannot be cast when in combat.

- A quick surge of healing energy that restores health to a friendly target.

- Talented ability. For 10 seconds, 25% of your damage and healing is converted to healing on up to 3 nearby injured party or raid members. This talent paired with strong AoE and single target damage can result in a large amount of off-healing.

- Removes all curse effects from a friendly target.

- Reduces the damage you take by 40% for 8 seconds.

- Talented ability. Summons a totem at the target location for 15 sec, granting all allies who pass within 10 yards 60% increased movement speed for 5 seconds.

- This talent is a solid choice, as it offers a boost to both single target and pure AoE situations in comparison to the other two options on this tier.

Examples scenarios to consider using this talent are: Tyrannical weeks, Temple of Sethraliss, The Underrot, Atal'Dazar, Siege of Boralus, Kings' Rest.

- This talent is currently our strongest on the tier, providing both optimal single target and AoE burst on a short cooldown in one spell. This talent excels even in high movement situations, as casts for

become instant. This talent also helps to build Maelstrom quickly in order to drop down

Azerite Traits
Below is a list of desired Azerite traits, specifically for Mythic +.
Outer Rings

chance is increased to 18%. You Pretty much want 3 of these Traits at all times.

- Your damaging spells and abilities have a chance to crash a wave upon your target for 4306 Frost damage. Also, When your health drops below 50%, gain a shield absorbing 33764 damage within 8 sec. When this occurs, Undulating Tides cannot trigger again for 45 sec. This is an all around decent trait just do to its passive damage but also it can very well save your life with the damage absorption if you get in a sticky situation.

- Your spells and abilities have a chance to grant a large amount of crit for 14 seconds. This is currently one of our best traits to bring into M+.

- Your Primary stat is increased by X while you are above 50% health. You also take 15% increased damage while you are below 20% health.

- Your Earthquake spell deals X Physical damage instantly, and has a 25% chance to make your next

- Dealing Fire, Nature, or Frost damage grants a stat for 12 seconds based on the spell school used. For Fire it's crit, for Nature it's haste, and for Frost it's mastery. An easily maintainable buff to keep up, making it strong in both AoE and single target situations, Currently it’s not worth keeping the mastery buff up.

- Your spells and abilities have a chance to grant a large amount of crit for 12 seconds, your critical effects extend the buff by 1 second, up to a maximum duration of 18 seconds.
Middle Ring

- Your damaging abilities have a chance to grant a large amount of stacking buffs of Haste for 25 seconds, diminishing by 1 stack every second. A very good trait for Elemental Shamans as haste is a useful stat for us.

- Damaging abilities have a chance to grant additional crit for 5 seconds. This effect stacks up to 5 times. Crit is a good stat for us, so this is a useful trait.

This is useful for Elemental as our AoE damage ticks at a very fast rate, increasing the amount of procs we could potentially get from this trait.

- Your damaging abilities have a chance to deal physical damage to the target. This occurs more often against targets below 30% health. This trait is most useful on

weeks where boss damage is more important.
Inner Ring

- A passive shield that applies every 30 seconds. This is one of our most useful tier 3 traits, as absorbs are better than passive healing and basically adds additional health to our health pool.

- When you take damage, you heal. This cannot occur more than once every 6 seconds. This trait can also be a useful defensive trait as a group will be taking constant damage while in combat in most dungeon situations.

- When an enemy you have dealt damage to dies, you are healed for an amount and gain a speed increase. This is useful in M+ as enemies are always dying, allowing you to take advantage of the speed increase and healing quite often.

- When you are surrounded by 4 or more enemies, gain a shield that absorbs damage. Cannot occur more than once every 20sec. Tis is really only good when you are within melee range to proc the shield. you can game the shield for an extra absorb ever now and then but that requires extra movement.
Recommended Azerite Pieces
With the traits above in mind, here are some of the better Azerite pieces to look for in advance of the Battle for Dazar’Alor raid. While you may not be able to get a perfect setup, go for highest item level pieces available that have a few traits from the above list when deciding.
This list also keeps in mind the most realistic options considering item level 415 pieces. While a piece off of the world boss Ivus might have decent traits, it will eventually fall behind ilvl 415 gear.

- This is one of Elemental Shamans best traits and should be considered most of the time to use. Due to our passive

The beam has a chance to immediately ANNIHILATE any target. At rank 3 this will also give you an 8 second buff, increasing your damage by 10% if an enemy dies within the beam. The Minor Trait,

, is arguably one of the strongest due to its high up time and weight in our stats as Elemental Shaman as Versatility is one of our best Secondary Stats. At level 65 Heart of Azeroth this trait should pretty much always be taken.
Vision of Perfection

, should be considered pretty much all the time as a second minor trait once you reach level 65 in your Heart of Azeroth. The reduced cooldown on your primary offensive spell is very impactful in dungeons and lines up perfectly with other cooldowns and On-Use Trinkets.

Mastering Elemental in Dungeons
Cooldown Usage
An advantage that Elemental Shaman have is that our cooldowns,

, are used for both AoE and single target combat situations. Managing your cooldowns effectively throughout the dungeon and using them in optimal moments will separate your play from the average shaman. If you have the ability to use your cooldowns on a large group of mobs, but you also need them for a boss coming up, how long is it going to take for you to get to that boss? Should you hold your cooldowns or top the damage meters? Pooling Maelstrom when mobs are close to death and saving Maelstrom for the next pull is also very helpful for damage output and reducing buildup time as a builder/spender class. This knowledge will come with time and experience, and will vary with the compositions of your group, which dungeon you are in, and the level of the key.
If you are using two

traits, consider keeping up just 1

in pure AoE situations to keep up the crit bonus. This spell is better than

, as it constantly deals fire damage over its duration, refreshing the buff every tick.
In Combat Changes
Understanding your spell priority in any combat instance will also make a huge difference in your overall damage output over the course of the dungeon. The following will explain each combat instance outside of single target and what spells to prioritize for each.

Mastering Your Pets and Useful Macros
As an Elemental Shaman, our pets are surprisingly powerful cooldowns even though we aren’t considered a "pet class". Understanding vital times to use our pets' unique abilities will make a big difference in your damage output. Let's go over a few pointers and some macros to help make sense of it all.
Using the talent

a pet bar along with unique pet abilities. Mastering these abilities is beneficial to both your damage output and the utility you bring to your group.

is pretty self explanatory, but should only be used while your pet has its own buff

active for the spell's full channel duration (depending on haste value). Always make sure that the spell will be cast on a target that won’t be isolated from other mobs if in an AoE situation or if fighting against a boss consider saving it for potential cleave on the boss fight.
/cast Eye of the Storm
Controlling your

's movement to kite packs of mobs and hold aggro while kiting is a huge utility to master. Using a simple /movepet macro and still being able to do your full AoE DPS rotation will take some practice, but will have big benefits on some of the more risky pulls in dungeons.

Lastly, remember that your

comes with an additional 40% damage reduction when talented into

. You can use another macro for this as well, or consider key binding your pet's special ability to not have to make multiple macros.

Here are some additional macros to help smooth out your gameplay and provide a slight advantage in damage and utility usage.
Mouse-Over Macros are extremely useful to Shaman because almost all of our totems are targeted ground effects and this also works with

. Mouseover macros work for every ground-targeting spell from any class, so they are pretty useful. Just replace the last word in the macro, in this case

Weakauras are used by millions of players of all different classes and specializations. These allow the user to track virtually anything in the game from cooldowns to resources and DoT/buff uptimes. Below you will find a link to my Wago.io profile which includes Weakaura packages that I use to track my Maelstrom bar most importantly, and my cooldowns and uptime on spells.
Barokoshama's Trackers
Another useful Weakaura is an Interrupt and CD tracker for your entire group. Being able to see who has their interrupts available or not can really go a long way when communicating with your team as to who should interrupt what spell next.

Common Mistakes
Communication:
This isn't always needed when doing Mythic + in a group but it is strongly recommended if you plan on pushing keys or staying with a set group for a while. Discord offers the option to create your own voice chat server or you can use the in-game voice communication system. The reason communication is strongly advised during Mythic + is because of how many interactions are needed for a smooth run. Calling interrupt rotations, defensive CD use, and CD usage, crowd control, or focusing down a specific target in a pack of mobs. High M + is fast-paced, and requires quick thinking and action to prevent mistakes and/or wipes. Communication is strong tool that can turn the tide just by talking.
Simulations and Stat Weights:
It is important to simulate your character to find out what gear best suits your damage output. I recommend using

Due to the introduction of Titanforging and gear roll-up,s there is no such thing as a Best in Slot list anymore for gear. This also means that every character is likely unique in what gear they have, with item level or sockets along with stat weights playing roles in what the best option is. With this change, every character will be different when it comes to stat weights. Simming your own character for its own stat weights should be your answer to, "what stat weights should I have for mythic +?" and this goes for both single target (Patchwerk) and AoE (Hectic Add Cleave).
When simming specifically for M+, Raidbots has introduced a new mode named Dungeon Slice. This mode takes a section of a dungeon which includes bosses and trash mobs, with small downtime instances in between and runs the simulation through that. Simming a dungeon isn't easy or 100% accurate, as there are many variables for each dungeon. The purpose of this mode is to give you a good idea of what talents, Azerite Traits, or gear are best for your character in mythic +.
Not Utilizing Defensives:
As an Elemental Shaman we have so much utility, kind of a jack-of-all-trades. This utility comes responsibilities in your M + groups though. Helping your healer out as much as you can by reducing the amount of damage you take through

Stacking defensive spells is not a good idea so don't panic when big damage is going out.

Not Utilizing Crowd Control:
As Elemental Shaman, we also come with a variety of crowd control utility that often goes under the radar. Knowing when to use a certain CC will help the tank or other party member greatly. Considering the charge time of our

is 2 seconds, be prepared when an AoE stun is needed. Two seconds is a long time when funneling damage into a target that has a damage reduction active that can only be stopped with a stun. We have other tools as well that often go unused in a lot of cases.

is an AoE slow of 50% with a long up time of 20 seconds and a short cooldown.

can really help when kiting a specific mob or ensuring that enemies don't get away. Use all the tools in your disposal and get creative with how to use them.
Useful Items to Consider
These items are for general use and do not require professions to use them. We recommend having a stock of most of these items as they come in handy in dungeons.

– Made by Engineers. This item allows party members to repair all their gear. Has a 1-hour cooldown and usable anywhere where you can't mount up to repair.

– Usable anywhere, increases movement speed by 150% for 8 seconds. This potion is very useful for certain trash mob skips and can be an alternative to the

Dungeon Affixes and How to Deal With Them

weeks, you want to have as much boss damage as possible. Consider using

. Thankfully as Elemental Shamans our single target and AoE cooldowns are the same thanks to our optimal talents. This being said, you want to make sure you have your cooldowns up for each boss. Planning ahead of time and optimal cooldown usage comes with practice and experience.

weeks, we want to be using our cooldowns as often as possible on trash, as that’s where the majority of the time spent in the dungeons is going to be spent. You have much more leeway when it comes to having cooldowns up for bosses. Try to have a pre-pot for each boss, but use your cooldowns effectively on trash mobs.

can take up a lot of extra time in dungeons due to mobs getting too many stacks and living too long, while also dealing increased damage. Try to kill all mobs around the same time to reduce the impact of

as much as possible. If an Elite mob is in the pack with a few non-Elite mobs try and funnel more single target damage into that Elite mob. Overall, you will be spending less time on each trash pack if you are focusing down the right targets. Consider CC'ing Elite mobs and pulling non-Elites far out of range of the Elite mob thus to not Bolster it.

– Raging can sometimes be difficult to deal with without a

in the group. Try holding your

– More targets, More PEW PEW! This is an Elemental Shaman's dream, but keep in mind that there may be added mobs that need to be focused down more.

and should be treated as such. Overloading your healer with too many

stacks is a bad idea, so try to spread out the killing of adds. You may have to use

to see when the effect will hit. If you do not have time to finish your cast consider your instant cast spell options like

(Season 3) - Beguiling is the seasonal affix in Season 3, replacing Reaping. Unlike Reaping, pulls have to be done more carefully and is comparable to Infested in terms the the style of play. This affix has various new mobs spread out around the dungeon called Emissaries. These Emissaries have different special abilities and each need to be dealt with differently. In this section we will go over each ability and how to deal with them as an Elemental Shaman.
There are three different types of new mobs,

. The easiest of the three to deal with is the

, it has the ability

. To deal with this mob you will want to attack it with spells to push it back and away from other mobs. Be careful not to push the emissary into other mob packs you are not yet in combat with or it will trigger combat with them. It's energy bar will drain every second it is in combat and when the energy bar hits 3 it will cast

and leave the dungeon.
The next emissary you will find with the Beguiling affix is the

. This Emissary has a passive aura

, this doesnt make the emissary immune to crowd control spells itself but have a maximum duration of 8 seconds, these spells have no Diminishing Returns. All nearby allies afflicted by

are immune to crowd control effects. This includes interrupts, silences, disorients, stuns, dazes, incapacitates, sleeps, snares, slows, and roots. When the add reaches 1 health, it will cast

, removing it from the dungeon permanently.
The final emissary you need to worry about is the

. This Emissary will cast

(Season Two) - Reaping is the seasonal affix in Season two, replacing Infested. Unlike Infested, Reaping will encourage groups to do bigger trash pulls for faster percentage. This is a great and exciting change for Elemental Shaman due to ability to excel in AoE situations. The affix works by summoning ghosts of the enemies you have already defeated, and every 20% of enemy forces completed, Bwonsamdi will command the ghosts to swarm your party (this happens at 20%, 40%, 60%, 80%, & 100%). We have been able to gather some information from testing this affix on the PTR, and here is what we know so far. There are three different types of ghosts that make up the mobs of the affix,

. Having multiple of these stacking up on your tank can be deadly, so kiting them is the best option. Caster mobs from the dungeon will turn into

, which should be interrupted as often as possible as they currently deal 25% of players maximum health. And finally beefier mobs inside of the dungeon will turn into

. Players hit by this ability will have their health reduced by 20% for 1 minute.
Reaping mobs have a health pool value of 50% of the mobs they were risen from. For example: if the

s from the Shrine of the Storm dungeon have 150K health, the ghosts that they spawn will have a 75K health pool. This also includes any mini-boss mobs in dungeons.
If for some reason your group wipes to a group of Reaping mobs, they will not despawn. Instead they will run back to the bodies of the mobs they spawned from and during the next 20% Reaping instance, they will come after you then. You can however go back and kill them on their own. Once a Reaping mob has been in combat they will become attack-able even if they reset.
Thankfully, Reaping mobs are not affected by other affixes! This means they are not healed by Sanguine, do not apply stacks of Bolster, will not give your tank trouble with Necrotic, and raging does not affect them either. They will not summon Explosive orbs and have normal threat tables, (looking at you, Skittish...). The only affix that affects them is Fortified, only because of the health pool of the original mob though.

Boss Tips
莱赞
will usually be the first boss you fight in Atal'Dazar depending on your route of course. Most groups will do Rezan as their first pull in the dungeon on
残暴
weeks just to get
嗜血
on cooldown as soon as possible. This boss is a pretty easy fight as long as your boss and group positioning are good. As an elemental Shaman we bring some nice utility to this fight to increase group damage. It's suggested to pull the boss near the first slanted pillar on the right side of the room for the start of the fight.

will cast

on a random target. An easy way for this not to be cast on melee players to optimize group damage is to have two ranged stand out to bait the cast. If you get targeted with the fixate run towards the opposite side of the room in a straight line. You can cast on the move spells hear to optimize damage.
恐惧之面
can be ignored by positioning your character out of line of sight of the boss. Use one of the slanted pillars or the stairs near the entrance of the room. You can also have great use of

here. Being able to use Tremor Totem for every other fear.

Depending on the affixes for the week, the trash leading up to

are pulled in many different ways. The majority of groups try to skip the bigger packs of mobs when possible. After going up the stairs you will immediately encounter a

has two pases. Phase 1 is easy. Simply kill all the totems at the same time. Once the totems are dead, Phase 2 beings. In this phase you want to burn the boss down while dodging toxic pools on the ground. It is Recommended to use

If you keep an eye on the boss he will shoot out globs of green, these are the

. If you are standing out of the group it is easier for you to see the one that will spawn on you. If you see a glob shoot out really high that one may be yours, allowing you to move before it lands on you and saving yourself from the initial tick of damage. This will take some practice to get right.
If you skipped the pack on the stairs entrance to the boss make sure you don't end the fight near them as you can proximity pull after the boss dies. And Wipe.

Upon fighting your way up the stairs into the Priestess' boss room you will find big Tiki masks that shoot Tiki Blaze out. Don't get hit by these as they generally two shot most people. A large pack of mobs await you at the top of the stairs, consisting of Dazar'ai Honor Guards,

Boss Tips
Skycap'n Kragg has two phases; the first is a simple tank and spank with minor things to pay attention to. Stay close to melee during phase one so that his

ability doesn't leave melee and melee group members can still DPS. When the boss reached 75% health the second phase will begin. He will dismount and Sharkbait will begin to fly around and bombard you from the sky.
Ranged DPS can stay at max range to avoid getting hit by

, This is pretty significant as it deals a heavy amount of damage to players.
Once you are in phase two you can stand outside of the arena and completely avoid almost all mechanics at max range. Including the

ability used by Sharkbait.
Sharkbait will continually cast

in phase two. He will prioritize casting this on players standing within the arena but also players within range of the boss before casting it on players outside of the arena. Since Elemental Shaman are a ranged class we can benefit by staying outside of the arena at max range to avoid mechanics and tunnel DPS into the boss.
One trick tanks can do on this fight is to bring Skycap'n Kragg just outside of the arena so that melee can avoid

and, if the healer or another DPS is properly baiting the Vile Bombarments, melee could never have to move. Making the boss a lot easier and shorter.

After defeating the first boss your group will go down the stairs and have to fight a single

and cross a long narrow bridge. Sometimes it's best you pull the Enforcer with other nearby trash mobs depending on the affix's for that week. Once you are across the bridge you will see a large area sprawling with mobs. These mobs consist of

Some things to keep in mind for the mobs in this area are that the

the traps as well to soak them up.
Also in this area, there are going to be three possible events that must be completed to activate the Council o' Captains boss fight. Unless of course you want to fight all three at once! Completing the event will make one of the three bosses friendly to your group and help you fight the other two!
Captain Jolly
If there is a Pug (man's best friend) in the area than Captain Jolly will become friendly for the fight. Players will need to chase the pug around the area eventually tiring the pooch out and getting the key to open up the cage containing Lokhots Darkbargainer. Freeing him causes Captain Jolly to become friendly and finishes the event. Hunters, Mages, Rogues, and Druids have a much easier time dealing with the pooch as they can stealth to chase the dog without getting in combat.
Captain Eudora
If you find a bunch of Vulpera highlighted around this area, that means that Eudora will become friendly this week. This event is the easiest as all you will need to do is talk to one of the Vulpera and drink some booze! Of course you will become drunk for 1 min but that’s part of the fun! All party members must drink or the event will not be completed. Usually groups opt for the closest Vulpera next to the building just before the entrance to the boss area.
Captain Raoul
If you see two highlighted
黑齿拳手
s attacking a target dummy in the middle that means that Captain Raoul will become friendly this week. Your group will need to engage these two mobs to start the event at which point various other mobs will rush in to join the fight. You will need to defeat all the mobs in order for Captain Raoul to become friendly.
Out of this group of mobs you will find some new faces. The

s will be using some new abilities. The

This fight will differ depending on which week it is. After completing the RP events that we talked about above you will engage the boss. Usually groups use

weeks and when fighting Captain Eudora… she hurts a lot.
Captain Raoul & Captain Eudora (Captain Jolly Friendly)
The bartender in the corner of the boss area will periodically throw brews throughout the fight. Having three different effects:

Boss Tips
The ring of booty is a 3 phase event similar to ring of blood quest line from the Burning Crusade's Nagrand zone. Note that the RP between each phase of the event takes a decent chunk of time so it is advised to pull mobs between events to save time.
Phase One:
Catch the Pig. A greased up pig called Lightning will be tossed into the ring. It will run around randomly until caught. Click on the Pig to take a stack of grease off of it. After all 5 stacks have been removed the pig is caught and the phase ends.
Phase Two:

procs. Most likely you will want to

this fight depending on sated timer. Especially on
残暴
so if

isn't up consider going to

and come back for lust timer.
First big thing to know about this fight as Elemental Shaman is that we can take advantage of the two Neutral Target Dummies just off to the side of the boss room. Keep

up on these dummies for extra

procs. You can maintain 3 very easily.
The extra

will also help with added movement you will have to do if

has been put on you. If you have a shark chasing you run the shark through a patch of Throw Chum that’s on the ground. This will Stun the shark and allow you to get away safely. Most groups usually have the healer get chased by the sharks throughout the fight as there is normally one shark out most of the time and DPS can continue to deal damage.

King’s Rest is one of the most difficult dungeons in Battle for Azeroth right now. It is a straightforward route but with tough mobs and bosses that the unknowing can have a tough time with. Below you will find example routes used by some of the top Mythic + players.

is a single phased encounter where players will have to deal with allies being

which places a hard ticking DoT on the nearest target within 10 yards.
This is a good opportunity to use

on these mobs. Taking the DoT instead of the tank.

s will also cast Blooded Leap on random players. Just dodge the ability.

as often as possible. These deal a large amount of damage. You can

are also a tough mob to encounter in this dungeon. They are stationary ranged mobs that cast

at random players. Make sure to position the cast so that it won’t hit multiple group members as it does quite a lot of damage.

s are usually picked up by Death Knights as pets because of how much damage they tend to deal to mobs and bosses.

The

in a large area, move out of the cast or you may die depending on how high the key is. You can reset his cast of

You should consider your

timers when pulling the trash around here. If you are coming up to some of the trash and lust is about to become available, consider skipping some of the trash to get to the next boss quicker and put

on cooldown. You can always backtrack to get some of the trash percentage you need.

The

is a three-phase encounter where you will face one of the three bosses at a time. Randomly rotating the order each week.

You may have to backtrack to do some trash if you skipped any to get to the third boss. Your group will finally encounter the

mini-boss that has been giving you so much trouble this whole time.

is a two-phase encounter where players will have to deal with two raptors spawns that have their own mechanics. He will cast

on the Tank, dealing high physical damage. He will also target random players and cast

on them, dealing less damage the further the player is from the centre of impact.

Make sure to interrupt the

rooting and damaging any player caught in it so just don’t stand in the blue swirly ground effects.

so try and interrupt as many of those as possible as well, they tend to hit pretty hard.
The Attendants also cast

knocks back and damaging players. This can easily knock your character off the ledge and ontop of the

mob below so be cognizant of your positioning.
Once you have reached the bottom of the staircase, this would be the ideal time to pull the patting

Now that you are at the bottom of the stairs you will find the

Groups will usually skip these with

by jumping off the waterfall and tightly hugging the right side while the Rogue uses Distract to help with proximity agro.
Boss Tips

is a two phase boss encounter. The boss will cast the abilities;

. Once the boss reaches 50% HP he will split into 3 smaller versions of himself, each casting the same three abilities on players. Once you have killed all three smaller versions the boss will reform and phase one will begin again.
踏浪冲锋
is the most deadly ability to watch out for. Getting hit by it can easly mean certain death as you can be knocked off the platform rather quickly. (R.I.P Gust of Wind)
This is even more evident on
残暴
keys. The boss will always target a players direction for this ability. You can also see a small red arrow to indicate the bosses direction if you have him targeted.

s can be removed from stunning it. Use a

for this. Or

it for more

procs if your group doesn’t deal with them using stuns.

is cast on you, use

to outrun the push back effect. You may also want to use on the move spells to keep up your damage.
When Phase Two happens you can easily keep

up on all three versions of the boss.
Also in Phase Two, you will have to deal with 3x

! Sop make sure you target each mob to understand exactly which direction they are charging to.
Tidesage Council
Trash
The groups of trash on the way to the Tidesage Council boss consist of multiple mini bosses which have their own mechanics similar to the boss themselves. First we have

Dealing with the

s will be quite easy as there are only two of them and depending on the affix's you may heave to kill one at a time. Don’t stand in their Slicing Hurricane ability and watch out for the Tempest tornadoes they spawn and hurl towards random players.
Make sure to interrupt

as much as possible when she casts
爆风冲击
. Especially when she spawns a

increasing the casting speed of whoever stands in it. You'll want to stand in this ward. Have your tank drag her out of the ward if possible.
After dealing with the miniboss you will find a tunnel guarded by two

Usually groups will do one giant pull. Bringing everything out into the open space where the previous Mini Boss was to fight and kite them there.

along with some off healing and CC if need be with

. This is quite a big pull so there will be lots of AoE damage to do depending on the affixes and how comfortable your tank is with pulling.

s will be debuffing the tank with an armor reduction Sundering Blow so he will have to kite often. Also they will be casting Lesser

and Whirling Slam which means the tank and melee will be moving often. The Slam ability is able to be interrupted with a stun however.
After the group of adds have been dealt with you will make your way to the second Mini Boss Runecarver Sorn.

on the ground underneath himself. Anyone standing inside the ward will take 75% reduced damage, enemy or ally is both able to receive the buff. Be sure to drag the Runecarver out of the ward and any other enemies you pull with him. The

. So definitely take advantage of the damage reduction for certain affixes.

becomes too much to handle it can be line of sighted around the corners of the bridge to be sure to position the mini boss on the bridge to take advantage of the LOS.
The

can also be skipped by one player pulling him back into the previous room while the other group members stand aside behind the bushes to the left and as the Mini Boss runs after the bait player the rest will run across the bridge and drop down to the left rocks. The bait player can then either die and get Mass Resurrected by the healer or if they have an Invisibility spell to drop combat to survive the pull and save some time. The best classes to bait are Rogues, Mages, Hunters and any class.

as when she dies the fight becomes much easier.
It is best for casters to stand outside of the ring and avoid all mechanics of this fight while maximizing damage output. Though the haste buff rune is tempting, it is not worth the added movement you will be forced to do to maintain the buff up-time.

is a single phase encounter with a constant movement mechanic called

. These orbs will follow fixated players around and if they reach the player they will take massive damage and be stunned.

If you have the

cast on you, you can run into the orbs to clear them and deal damage to break yourself out. If it isn't enough damage your party members have to switch, and attack you to break you out.
This is a movement heavy fight so keep yourself distanced from the orbs that are fixated on you and deal as much on the move damage as possible. Stopping to cast only when you have enough distance between you and the orbs.

an underwater entryway will be accessible to take you to the final boss. Swim through the water to the other side avoiding the shocky jellyfish. A useful item to use here is

made by Leatherworkers. This increased your swim speed and gets you through this area quicker if you are tight on time.

will need to be kited by the tank as they have increased auto attack damage. This is especially evident on higher level keys. They are pretty slow so kiting them in a small circle is easy to allow passive cleave by players.

s have small health pools and can usually be pulled in multiple groups at a time. They apply a stacking debuff to players attacked by them so keep them under control if need be. They are not affected by certain affixes such as

is a two phase encounter. During the first phase

will periodically spawn large purple pools on his location. These pools will deal damage and silence players within them. Throughout the fight tentacles will spawn on random players and cast

After you return from phase 2 the boss will be be casting

and have a large shield. This is actually a really good time to take care of all the adds in the room if you skipped them prior to the boss. This is what most groups do as the healer does increased damage and can help kill the trash mobs faster.
After you interrupt the boss the Manifesation of the Deep can easily be kited by the tank. This is also a really good time to

and use CDs. You can keep up one or two

dots on them to help funnel more

procs into the boss. As long as you aren't killing the adds.
If you did not kill the boss by now the phases will repeat.
Siege of Borallus
Siege of Borallus is very linear when it comes to layout of a dungeon. There is very little wiggle room as well when it comes to different routes to take for trash percentage.

Temple of Sethraliss is one of the more linear dungeons. It doesn;t have much wiggle room when it comes to what trash you want to pull to get percentage. Temple of Sethraliss also has a few min-game events that other dungeons don’t. Groups will have to complete these games to move forward. Affixes do have an effect on which route you take and how you pull pretty drastically in this dungeon. Below you will find example routes used by some of the top Mythic + players.

try to stop you from doing so. If a player takes damage from a mob while carrying the orb it will be dropped and they will be unable to pick it up for a few seconds. If an

comes into contact with one the the Orbs they will pick it up and start to walk to place the orb back to its original position. The

will only drop the orb upon death.
As a Shaman we can use

to carry the orbs quite easily. Since carrying the Orb reduces movement speed drastically and

can not be hindered in movement speed past 100% we are exceletent Orb Carriers.
One trick you can do with the orb is to throw it ahead of yourself and pick it up again to speed up the carrying process. You can throw it to your teammates as well that may be waiting to “dunk” the orb.

s stationed around the room. Usually you will find one at each orb.

s are the biggest threat in this area due to them picking up the orbs to bring them back. So keeping them CC’d is a good idea here.

We also advise to bring a Rogue to this dungeon (or bring a player with inscription for their

On the first floor of the prison there will be prison keys spread around. They are usually found in the hallways on top of shelves on the walls, on boxes or tables or tucked along sandbags or crates. These keys can be used to open up prison cells on the floor. It is recommended to have a Rogue or Inscriptionist as finding the keys takes up extra time. In this first prison block area players will encounter mobs such as

This whole floor can be skipped with a combination of CC from a Rogue on the first two mobs just before the entrance of the room (Sap and Blind). The Rogue then picks up aggro from the Blinded mob by standing on top of it. The rest of the group then walks into the first block and the Rogue uses Vanish to drop aggro. He will then sap one of the two Strikers ahead and another group member will CC the other one. The Rogue will then open the gate with

and pick up aggro from the none Sapped target. The rest of the group will run through. This is a good time for the Rogue to run around and unlock prisons to get the buffs. The Rogue can die if they are in combat and the healer can mass res. This will take some practice to get right.
When your group runs up the stairs to the second floor, you will encounter another pack of mobs. This time you will find a couple

Boss Tips

is a single phase encounter where players must use correct character positioning and cooldown rotations to efficiently deal with the mechanics of the boss. Korgus will switch between

throughout the fight. All the while cannons are firing across the boss area.

will also cast

showing safe zones and dead zones of the ability.

are the most dangerous abilities to pay attention to.

is the icing on the cake limiting players movements, or else they will be stunned for 8 seconds.
This is a very healer intensive fight so help your healers out if they need it with off healing through

If you are going to get two back to back

s then use Either

or
硬化外皮
. Make sure to use the defensive just before the spell hits in order to use one defensive for two

s.
If you have a Demon Hunter in your group you can completely ignore the

mechanic. Have your Demon Hunter take the shot but just before it goes off they should use

to Dodge the incoming damage.
If you don’t have a Demon Hunter in your group you will have to rotate players soaking the

.
The best spot to tank the boss is a corner utilizing the stairs and walls to limit how much your group members get knocked back from the abilities while keeping enough distance to not overlap

Waycrest Manor
Waycrest manor is a unique dungeon in which the path you take is always one of three, being randomly picked at the start of each key. Top left is the most preferred route, the next being bottom right and then top right being the hardest and least time efficient. Below you will find some typical routes ran by some of the top Mythic Plus players.

When the barrier drops as soon as you start the key you will find a bunch of

mobs at the start of the room while some Role Playing audio and npc's chat it up. Look for the open door while you deal with the
灵魂精华
s. They cast

which can be interrupted.
In this guide trash will be explained by the section of the house they are in. The dungeon does not have a set linear route until you reach the basement. One more thing to mention is that

may spawn throughout the dungeon. They have specific spawn locations and will only be activated if you walk past them. Their pawn locations are randomized each week however.

Trash
In the room along with the Heartsbane Tirad you will want to deal with two groups prior to pulling the boss. They consist of

. You will want to have interrupts on both as often as you can.

s will explode upon death so don’t stand near them when they die.

which can be interrupted but if the cast does through it can be difficult to deal with depending on the affixes for the week. Groups will tend to skip these mobs with

if possible.
Boss Tips
The
女巫索林娜
is a Three-Phase encounter where players will have to deal with each boss simultaneously. The phases are split up into which boss controls the
聚焦之虹
. They will switch once the witch that controls it reaches 50% health or dies. The bosses that aren’t controlling the
聚焦之虹
have
铁树皮盾
on them, reducing the damage they take. The longer the boss holds the
聚焦之虹
the more energy they will generate. At 100 energy the boss controlling the iris will cast
恐怖仪式
, an AoE nuke sure to wipe your group on higher keys. Each boss will cast their own spells however, the boss holding the Iris will deal increased damage so their spells need to be interrupted. Each boss also has a unique aura to them when they are holding the Iris.

Prior to the boss fight you will want to use

without pull the the boss with it. This is because

Groups will usually

this boss either at the start or second Witch. If you do not have it available consider clearing trash in other wings until you do.
When

is holding the Iris and

is active you will want to be moving as much as you can to keep your stacks low. This is also a good time to use

to help with off healing when

is cast. You can also cleanse your own curse from the mark with

Trash
Soulbound Goliath is in the courtyard surrounded by lots of enemies. Consisting of

s and a mini boss named

The party will want to take care of the

s running around the courtyard first. If pulled correctly they won’t bring in additional mobs. They will die pretty quickly so keep that in mind if you want to pull bigger here.

, both of which can be interrupted and on

hurts a lot.

MUST be interrupted or it will heal a other mobs to full, wasting lots of time.

, this isn’t the highest priority to interrupt. Upon death they will buff another nearby enemy with 5 stacks of

increasing their damage per stack. Just get ready to

spam if you need to.
Your tank can move some of the mobs in this area into the fire that spawns to help deal damage to them.
Boss Tips
魂缚巨像
is a one-phase encounter. The tank will need to control the bosses number of stacking
灵魂收割
he has by dragging him into the fire that spawns around the courtyard. This will ignite the boss and trigger
燃火外衣
. Additionally the boss will occasionally cast
灵魂荆棘
on a random non Tank player.
Groups usually always

this boss, if you don’t have it available consider clearing some of the other wings of trash until you do.
When

is cast the boss does not target anyone. One trick to do here is to actually

right before the cast finishes. If the boss was casting the
灵魂荆棘
on you
幽魂之狼
will immune the effect.
燃火外衣
can be pretty healing intensive especially at high stacks. This is a good time to use

or

if

isn’t needed for trash coming up. This is also an ideal time to help your healer out with the

combo. Be cognizant of getting healer aggro from the

The trash to Raal is spread out along the hallway outside the room he is in as well as within the room. Your group will find three different trash mobs,

The cellar to the next boss has two possible entrances depending on which side of the dungeon you end up at. Within the cellar you will encounter a healthy mix of all the trash you have faced thus far. This includes

, dealing damage to everyone in your group if it isn’t interrupted. Usually she is skipped and you can actually walk past her into the stairway once she is at the end of her pat.

has two phases to the encounter. In the first phase you will be fighting Lord Waycrest while Lady Waycrest attacks from across the room. Any time

reaches 30% health, Lady Waycrest will siphon her own life into Lord Waycrest to heal him wil

reaches 10% health. This fight will primarily revolve around the tank and healer roles. The tank just takes so much damage from Lord Waycrest as the fight goes on thanks to

There isn’t much trash on the way to the final boss of Waycrest Manor. But the trash that is here hits hard, let’s talk about it. You will find mobs named

s will leap to the furthest player away from the group with

. A good strategy is to have the tank kite back and forth to bait the leaps.
This is a good time to Use

Boss Tips

is a single phase encounter in which groups will need to control and kill

that spawn. Players will want to secure the the adds that have been killed with

to keep them from being resurrected by

will cast

on a random party member, stunning them for the duration of the cast.
Keep adds from casting

by either using

is about to go off and adds won’t be killed in time, hold off on funneling Maelstrom into the adds as it will be just wasted damage.
Groups will usually

Great thoughtful guide, thank you for taking the time to share your secrets! When you're simming on raidbots for dungeons, what is your default? I've heard mixed things, Dungeon Slice, 3 mobs 3 minutes, etc. What do you use as your default to determine bis?
