Welcome to GG's innervate tips :) Pull up a chair and enjoy!
When soling the use oof innervate is totally up to you, but I recommend saving it until you over aggro or are in a pinch. In a 5 man, if you are main healing again I would save it until you need it, or if you re damaging save it until the healer is in a pinch and calls for it. Always be conscious of your 6 minute timer.
Wednesday I was in a raid with a resto druid healing and I was main puller, I just innervated everytime I needed mana and kept going. However, elsewise I would have saved it. Thanks to the recent patch you may now cast while in moonkin form which saves me so much mana now...
When in a raid, count how many druids you have and then priests and pallies. Priests are typically your focus with pallies in second and yourself last, until you are a main healer. If we have an abundance of druids, we cycle as called. One of the main problems is double innervating a target. Though there are mods for this, if you are like me and do not use mods, you need a different appraoch.
Here are the tips I use. First of all, know your healers. If priest X i constantly out of mana and his target frequently die, he is not a good candidate. If preist Y always has mana and doesn't have a problem keeping a tnk alive then he is your prime canidate. I will sit and watch a healer's play style for a few runs before deciding how to fit them in rotation.
We had a priest whom I will call H. H wasn't a good target because he could use up 3 innervates on a single short fight and he either entirely overhealed one target or he let his assignments die frequently. H was removed from the innervate roation unless we were dire.
We have a priest I call S. S is the best healer I have ever seen, he has excellent mana control, his targets never die and he rarely over heals. He could keep a 10 man alive by himself. He also regens fast on his own. He is my prime candiate and I try to always have one nerv in reserve for him at all times.
I innervate at 15% mana standard. We always set up innervates, either through a rotation or through an assignment. If we have very few druids (4 or less) it's on rotation as raid leader calls for it. If we have 5 or more (hey we had 8 one MC run) I assign by group to certain people. For example, druid 1 watch your group and group 2 for innervates, druid 2 watch your group and group 4, etc, etc. For certain people I assign a reserve for them alone, such as priest S. So I know that S will always have one when he needs it, plus we won't have two innervates wasted on one target.
Of course, no one RECEIVING two innervates has ever complained. Once you make proper use of your timer, it will become an invaluable tool. Enjoy.

Once 2.3 hits, you should be especially careful when using this in a PvP environment -- all your magic buffs will be visible to enemy players; classes with Dispel (typically Priests, Shaman, Mages, Warlocks with Fel Hunters, and Hunters once Arcane Shot is buffed in 2.3 to remove magic effects) will know for sure if their target is Innervated, and won't hesitate to either remove the buff, or, potentially worse, steal it, in the case of a Mage.

As of 2.3 this was reverted
back
to the former Spirit based regeneration in the tooltip.
The following is
archaic
Just to update this tooltip was changed. Wowhead has not been updated with the correct wording.
The (correct) tooltip now reads:
Increases the target's Mana regeneration by 400% and allows 100% of the target's Mana regeneration to continue while casting. Lasts 20 sec.
This means that while spirit plays a role in mp5 innervate is no longer the best just for priests, its the best for whoever has the most mana regeneration. So it will be equally beneficial for almost any class that has a high amount of mana regeneration (most likely healers).
Of course take into consideration the play style and mana conservation that the previous posts touched on.
However
, no longer bias who you give innervate to on a highest spirit assumption because it is now false.

When using this in PvP against dispelling classes, it's often a good idea to make sure whoever is recieving Innervate has other buffs to serve as fodder in case someone tries to remove it. A mana efficient way (if you have time) to do this is to buff rank 1 versions of Mark of the Wild, Thorns, Lifebloom, etc, especially if you have the talent Subtlety.

I have a druid and a mage both at high levels, and I find that this (Innervate) is so much better than Evocation, especailly because it can be cast instantly and does not require channeling.
When my druid has Innervate up he regs 1500 mp5, which means 1500*4 = 6000 manaand he only has 5000+... A mage's Evocation only regs 60% of his total mana, and he has to channel it.
Though it should be said that only with high spirit can a druid really benefit from this spell, and my mage with 150 spirit would probably suck using Innervate...

I guess a moonfire-spamming druid (if there ever was one) would need two innervates to not run out of mana.

I have a question? Do we benefit from Innervate if we shapeshift into bear or cat form?
评论来自
338077
Of course you benefit, but it won't help you any way. If you are in any animal form, you don't need mana, but of course if you are out of mana, this might help if you might need to heal later on. But it won't help your performance in bear or cat form. Although switching into an animal form will make you lose a significant amount of mana. But this spell is more then enough to regenerate half your mana.
As of patch 3.1, innervate no longer needs mana.

Arcane Mages practically rely on Innervate.
If your raid isn't at a point where mana is a tremendous problem, or you're on a fight you know you'll have enough mana to last through, throw an Arcane mage an Innervate. It'll be MUCH appreciated. And if you use the glyph, you'll gain full mana regeneration during that time anyway!
You have
Arcane Meditation
,
Arcane Concentration
,
Student of the Mind
,
Mage Armor
, and
Glyph of Mage Armor
. That's 80% of your mana regen, 10% more Spirit, AND a 10% chance on
every spell hit
to make your next spell mana-free.
Now. Explain to me how you "need" my Innervate just to keep your DPS up, when the healers are running out of mana trying to keep every single person alive.
I'll throw my Innervate on a WARRIOR before even think about burning a 6-min cooldown on a Mage.
Edit: Now
I
feel like the noob; I forgot about
Evocation
and
Arcane Flows
, which is 60% of your total mana back on the same cooldown as a Mana Gem.

Change in progress on the 3.1.2 PTR:
Innervate: This ability has been redesigned to grant 450% of the casting Druid’s base mana pool to the target over 20 seconds.
Soo...... anyone know exactly how much mana is going to be returned by this change? Maybe now Shaman and Paladin healers will be getting some innervate love.

Sounder
The base mana pool of a level 80 druid is 5901. 450% of 5901 is 25,554.5. Am I interpreting that right?

Useful Innervate tip: you want your target to know that they're under the effects of Innervate, so that they can switch to a mana-burning casting style and not waste duration sitting at 100%.
So, use this macro! It assumes you're casting on your current target.
#showtooltip Innervate
/cast Innervate
/script SendChatMessage("You are innervated!", WHISPER, nil, UnitName("target"))

This is a *huge* buff for us feral druids, the last Innervate barely gave us any mana at all, while this one makes us able to spam whatever we want for 20 seconds.
It's also a buff for any mana user that isn't focused on spirit.

Shamans have
Mana Spring Totem
AND
Mana Tide Totem
(yes, for whole party)
Mages have
Evocation
Priests have
Shadowfiend
Warlocks have
Life Tap
And druids? Yes, druids have
Innervate
, which can be now parasyted by Shamans and Palys tooo. "Shaman says: Give me innervate, i am OOM" ... "Druid says: CD, srry ... xD"
BTW:
Glyph of Innervate
redesigned too ofcourse.
Glyph of Innervate: Has been adjusted to grant the Druid 90% of his or her base mana pool over 20 seconds
So, with glyph Innervate grant 450% of druid based mana (+15732mana) and druid gets extra 90% of based mana (+3146 mana). So 15732+3146=18878 mana.

I don't know if the tooltip's description completely escapes you, but it's based on the DRUID'S base mana pool, meaning it doesn't matter how much spirit or mana regen you have, the amount of mana you will regenerate from Innervate will be based on the DRUID'S base mana pool.
This also means that it doesn't matter who you cast the Innervate on, the amount of mana regenerated will be the same regardless of class. The only way the amount will change is if the druid who cast the Innervate on you wasn't 80, because of course, the Druid's base mana would be lower.
Yes, and they are calculating what gear level you would have to have to see if it would be a nerf to you. Please read before posting. They even implyed in their post exactly what you were saying:
So When Priests/Druids get to 1400/1400 it will be a Nerf, and
It will Forever be a Buff to Pallys and Shamans.
Since paladins and shaman have no spirit on their gear.

When I first read the new patch notes, i thought Innervate was being changed to "Causes the target to regenerate mana equal to
45
% of the casting Druid's base mana pool over 20 sec sec."
I had thought this to be a another blizz nerf , to fix the infinate healer mana problem. But in actuality the first thing to pop into my head was " hey, my feral druid will now benefit from innervate in pvp! no longer will he gain only about 20% of his mana from it ! MWAHAHA!
Then i thought my raid group was going to hate me T_T
Then i reread it. And my head almost exploded. What?
450%
thats insaine! Must be a typo....
But no! its real!. I might just spam moonfire ,starfire or wrath in a bg just for fun now! I think innervate is now almost on par with Rebirth in raid utility now. (almost) Druid FTW

The new innervate is absolutely amazing in that the spell is now useful for any mana using class.
It's so cool that I can use this while OOM as Feral spec and get 100% mana back in 8 seconds or so.

The change is not a nerf, it is indeed just a change.
As a resto druid I have spirit on EVERY peice of gear I have, so got more or less my full 23k (with raid buffs) mana back, so from a PVE perspective it is slightly nerfed for the geared Resto out there.
However, what you will really notice is that in PVP you will get ALL of it back, rather than getting less than half back (due to low spirit on PVP peices) which is really nice, and needed to keep up with the insane regen of Palas.
That being said remember to LOS and/or range any dispellers (and pop Barkskin if you have the Barkskin Glyph) when using otherwise you will seriously regret it!

Current PTR patch notes for 3.2 say that Innervate's cooldown is being taken down to 3 minutes, but it will only give half as much mana.
评论来自
320226
Patch 3.2 changes:
Causes the target to regenerate mana equal to 225% of the casting Druid's base mana pool over 10 sec.
Druid lvl80 base mana is
3496
, so innervate regenerate
7866
mana over 10sec.
Ofcourse
Glyph of Innervate
changed too:
Use: Innervate now grants the caster 45% of <his/her> base mana pool over 10 sec in addition to the normal effects of Innervate.
45% from druid based mana pool is
1573
mana, so druid get totally
9439
mana per 10sec.

So it looks like Blizzard has changed it again to 20% of the Druid's TOTAL mana pool. With Balance's Dreamstate talent (R2) you gain an additional 30% of your total mana pool. 50% of my total mana pool in 10 seconds with a 3min cd? That'll do, pig.

See how this spell has become less useful for feral, especial if u cast on someone else it will only give about 4 k which isnt much at all ,
I suggest using Volcanic Potion prior
火山药水
to casting to boost your mana pool.

Mind you I usually use this when I am in long boss fight (Omnotron Defense System) or in Pug where the healer/Caster run out mana.

Initial 4.2 patch notes are showing that this will be changed to provide 5% of the target's mana if cast on someone other than the Druid. The effect remains the same (20%) when self-cast. A slight buff for Ferals, but Resto and Balance players will probably keep their cooldown almost exclusively for themselves now.

Used in conjunction with a Priest's
Divine Hymn
and an average mana pool of 120k (extremely conservative average for Firelands raiders)...glyphed, this spell has the potential to effectively introduce at least 20,700 mana, and up to 27,600 mana if only used once every 6 minutes (6 minutes is the cd on the priest's ability).
120k * 1.15 = 138k mana for the priest and druid while divine Hymn is active, assuming the innervate casting druid is low on mana.
138k * 0.05 = 6.9k mana going to the priest
138k * 0.1= 13.8k mana going to the druid,
total 20,700
If the druid self casts the innervate...
138k * 0.2 =
27.6k going to the druid
These calculations do not consider the additional
(138k * 0.08) *3 =
33,120 mana
granted by the hymn split between 3 players.
Not sure about other mana regens abilities that you could lump in here, but please for the sake of fun throw some in here so that we can observe the endless amounts of mana that we can dump into the raid midfight.
EDIT: Math is an illustrated estimate. Not factored is the lack of increased mana pool for the first tick of Divine Hymn and the 8 second duration of Divine Hymn and the 10 second duration of Innervate, both points will reduce the overall mana regen which is why the average mana pool was normalized lower than what we'd expect to see during raid conditions.

Just something I noticed playing around with the trinket
Mandala of Stirring Patterns
is that Innervate bases its calculation at the time it was cast.
So, lets say your maximum mana was at 8,000. Then, that was raised to 10,000 from a short time buff. You can cast Innervate near the end of the buff and still receive the return of the 10,000 mana pool instead of the 8,000.

The information above is wrong, it doesnt require tree of life form and moonkin form only, it can be used in your humanoid form. The info on tranquility is wrong as well, supposively its tree of life form only. Thottbot needs to get their facts straight.
评论来自
Thottbot
It does says that it requires those forms, but I do however believe that it means that it can be cast in those forms, just like the Priests "Spirit of Redemption", on Thottbot, it says with most of the Priests spells "Requires Spirit of Redemption", it simply means, that it can be casted while using it. Not that you need it.
Hope this was any help.

This is extremely helpful (I played on my friend's druid)! You can innervate the priest if they have low mana or yourself. The 6 min cooldown isn't actually that bad either. If you stop casting for the full 20 secs your mana will almost be max too.
40 = Moonkin, Innervate and Hurricane!

Do 2 innervates stack?

This spell works well if your in a long type of fight, you need to heal the first time, there goes around 30-50% or so of ur mana pool(if you use HT with regrowth plus the shapeshifts) if ur a feral, then when u need to heal the second time there goes the other percent and then use innervate and back into cat or bear, and then once you get back into caster if u need to heal again then this comes in handy because you'll have a lot of mana, I use this in PvE against those elites 2-3 levels above me because sometimes i goof and i have to heal like 3 times, and that only happens about once to twice every 10 minutes and this thing only has a 6 minute cool down. It's also extremly useful when you run out of mana because one or two mana regeneration ticks and you got enough to do innervate then just wait for HT or regrowth and start casting that, when your done youll still probably have the mana to transform into cat or bear form.

Hello.
As stated, Innervate works off of your mana regen value from having high Spirit stats.
If you are a Priest, or someone who may be a target for receiving an Innervate, I recommend that you do this:
Find or buy a
Flawless Wand of Spirit
. Tell your guild members to keep an eye out for you -- do anything you can! This has over 20 +spi on it alone.
Buy a
Staff of Divine Infusion
, this weapon has the most +spi on it of anything I've seen in the game.
Then add an
Enchant Weapon: Mighty Spirit
to it, so the weapon with have
SEVENTY
(!) SPIRIT on it!
Next, tell your Druid party/raid members to notify you when they're going to innervate you. Since
you can swap weapons (including the wand in your ranged slot) in combat
, you equip this combo real quick before Innervate hits, and you'll have over 90 +spi more regen! It's fantastic.
This is also a good idea for Mages and Evocation.
评论来自
Thottbot
He said that you need to stack as more SPI as possible as a PRIEST so you can get much more benefit from Innervate which DRUID casts on you.
L2Read not to seek single words in the whole text. Maybe that was an undetectable sarcasm though...
