Possibly one of the most complex and time consuming mail sets to collect, this is a unique and difficult set of gear to aquire.

The pieces of the Flamescale set (crafted by LW) are a very nice match. The details and colors are nearly identical. I chose to make those rather than torture myself looking for belt and boots. Sadly, the Flamescale set only includes belt, boots and legs.

For recoloured versions of some pieces, one can get:

Brownish: 焰鳞护腿 from The Aldor LW patterns. (Got Boots and Belt too)
Greenish: 魔化邪鳞护腿 from The Scryers LW patterns. (Got Boots and Gloves too)

Though most of the drops are not listed in the pages of wowhead, the Mistshroud set is still obtainable. This list should explain how to obtain all the pieces.

The Mistshroud Helm is obtained by purchasing a Large Copper Metamorphosis Geode (only purchasable if you are a Hunter or Shamen) from the final vendor of the Bash'ir Landing Skyguard Raid for 4 Apexis Crystals.

The Mistshroud Shoulders is obtained by releasing and defeating Gorgolon the All-seeing. he is found hidden in one of the prison chambers in Blade's Edge.

The Mistshroud Tunic is obtained by unlocking and defeating Yor in the Mana-Tombs.

The Mistshroud Gauntlets are obtained by purchasing a Small Copper Metamorphosis Geode (only purchasable if you are a Hunter or Shamen) from the final vendor of the Bash'ir Landing Skyguard Raid for 3 Apexis Crystals.

The Mistshroud Bracers are obtained by defeating any of Terokk's Greater minions. Any of these four can drop it.

The Mistshroud Belt is obtained through the exact means to obtain the bracers.

The Mistshroud Pants is obtained by defeating Terokk himself, which can also lead to the this dropping if you're lucky.

The Mistshroud Boots are obtained by releasing and defeating Fel Tinkerer Zortan. He is hidden in one of the etherium prisons in (I believe) the Netherstorm.

I just bought the Mistshroud Pants off the AH ... only to find that they can't be transmogrified to. I don't know about the rest of the set, but if this is any indication ... this fantastic and rare set might be, for some reason, off limits. I've no idea why it would be off limits!

Does anyone know any alternative shoulder pieces that go well with this set? The actual shoulders seem... out of place.

This set uses the dark grey, gold, brown and red (officially "Black"!) variant of the "Blood B1 Mail" artwork. It forms six pieces out of a seven-piece set of the art. Only the shoulders are missing.

There's no artwork for a helm in this set. While there is a Mistshroud helm it uses unrelated art and so isn't listed here. If you look I'm sure you can find one that matches better, anyway. I don't think the set one matches well at all.

There is art for shoulders, but for some reason the set shoulders don't use it and so aren't listed here. Unfortunately there are no available shoulders that do use set art. Unless they change the set shoulders I'd be tempted to look for something else. The coal black doesn't really match the rest of the pieces well. To get an idea of what the shoulder artwork looks like, see the modelviewer image for 血警卫保护者, who wears a complete set of the Crimson variant. The shoulders for this colour of the set would be almost identical, except the border would be a slightly darker and less-saturated brown.

There are six other colours of this set in the artwork database and five of them have at least one piece available in the game. Unfortunately only one colour (Crimson) has a significant number of pieces available. But for completion, the colours are:

Bright red and brown (officially "Crimson"): Mistshroud Set (Recolor) (only gloves and shoulders missing)
Light grey, green-grey and brown (officially "Blue"): only "Enchanted Felscale" gloves, leggings and boots. See this link for the appearance and list of pieces
Light grey, brown, gold and red (officially "Red"): only "Flamescale" belt, leggings and boots and one more pair of pants. See this link for the appearance and list of pieces
Purple and brown (officially "Purple"): just a chestpiece: 厚重虚空鳞片胸甲
Gold, brown and red (officially "Yellow"): just leggings: 风铸护腿. This one would have made a very bright set!
The remaining colour, grey-purple and orange-brown (officially "Orange") doesn't seem to have any pieces available in the game

I farmed this set in about 15 hours game time played and it has become my pvp set. This is a list of nice accessories I like to use:
外科医生衬衣 - The rare drop out of Scholomance, the red of the shirt matches the red detail of the pants perfectly.
雷矛军服 - As I am using this set for pvp this tabard is appropriate and the coloring is along the same lines.
毒蝇之袭 - A nice cloak that has a similar color scheme to the set.
闪击强弓 - A bow that has gold filigree and drops out of hyjal summit.
钢针面甲 - My replacement for the helm out of karazhan.
荒芜之戟 - My melee weapon until MoP.

A good cloak for this set would be Horde Cloak or Alliance Cloak from the Arathi Basin Honor vendors right outside their entrances.

Been looking for something that works with the 龙啸护肩 that dropped for me In Karazan. From the looks of it its will be a long grind.

Liked the way that it looked, and took a few hours a day for three or four days to acquire. Like the fact that it is all obtainable as a 70, as I had turned off gaining experience with my Shaman.

I also like the look of the cloth, leather and plate sets that drop from some (if not all) of the same mobs/vendors.

Quite possibly the best matching mail set for the 仿制的影踪派头盔. Just need to find some suitable shoulders to go with it all.

If you're having trouble getting the boots to drop from Fel Tinkerer Zortan (like me, going on 50+ keys now!), Quickstrider Moccasins are a fairly good replacement; the colors match the rest of the set.

Spaulders of Incoherence or Council Chamber Epaulets (same gold model) can go with this set. A thought.

Here is a set I put together using some other items. The chest, legs, belt, gloves, and shoulders are needed from Mistshroud. IT fell together after viewing a completed set elsewhere. I adjusted a few items and added the greatest rifle in the game.

Here are some alternatives for this set:

魔化邪鳞手套 Looks very close. Same model. Seems to be slightly lighter in shade.

魔化邪鳞护腿 Will work. Same deal. Lighter shade. Also lacks the red highlights.

守备官的锁甲战靴 Are a great color match and eliminate one of the RNG-heavy items from Mistshroud farming.

As far as colour and model matches, there is not much else. 雷暴护肩 is a good fit for the overall look of Mistshroud and arguably a better color fit than the Mistshroud shoulders themselves. However, it is leather.

Celestial Harmony for shamans, or Dark Meditations for the rest of us.

With its dark/gray/brown colour 夜行者之弓 is a fairly fitting choice for a bow with this transmog set.

Beautiful in its simplicity and even easier to obtain now after the changes that were made to 剃刀沼泽 where it used to drop from the mob, 盲眼猎手格罗亚特, which was previously a fairly rare spawn.

I just recently finished collecting this set, and I wanted to make a post illustrating everything that went into it:

Over 100 ethereum prison keys (for the 尘雾长靴)
105 apexis shards (for the 尘雾护手)
140 time-lost scrolls (for the 尘雾腰带)
Around 2100 gold (for the 尘雾外套 and 尘雾短裤, since those are the only ones that aren't bind on pickup - prices will obviously depend on your server)

I don't particularly care for the supposed 尘雾护肩 - I personally prefer the Mantle of the Desert's Fury, but there are several similar options to tide you over while you wait for that to drop, like the Golden Scale Shoulders or Glimmering Mail Pauldrons - or the 尘雾头盔. If you're attached to either of those, you'll be looking to spend at least 120 more apexis shards for the helm and who knows how many ethereum keys for the shoulders. You'll also need to be revered with the Consortium - which admittedly won't be hard, considering how many ethereum prisons you'll be opening and how many times you'll probably be running Mana-Tombs.

And, of course, if you choose to farm the chest and legs instead of buying them, you'll need even more prison keys and potentially more scrolls, but considering you'll get what you need to summon Terokk after killing the various elites that drop the belt, you might get lucky with the pants and end up with no additional bird-killing legwork.

I also cannot overstate how random these drops are. It took me over 100 stasis chambers to get those boots and summoning 14 Skettis elites to get the belt, but on another character both items dropped almost immediately. You might be spending days farming, or one breezy afternoon. No matter what, don't give up! It'll drop eventually.

In the end, it was a lot of work, but I've ended up with one very stylish hunter and a sense of immense accomplishment. Good luck, and happy hunting!

My Mistshroud Set outfit version of the Mistshroud Set transmog set with some personal picks for helm, shoulder, shirt, cloak and bow.

It's important to emphasize that 罪犯的眼罩 is one of the best mail eye patches available.
