Brutallus vs. Madrigosa:
Neither quest listed for this area belongs. They're for the 5man, not the Raid, which this is.
If I am correct, this is where the v2.4 tier 6 armor will drop.
Apparently, the difficulty varies from the first half of the dungeon to the second. The bosses of the first half are meant to be on par with Black Temple/Hyjal bosses (thus the additional Tier 6 pieces), while the second half is meant to be more difficult than either. Which means Kil'jaeden will likely trump Illidan and Archimonde as the most difficult boss in the game. How hard? It'll be interesting to see.
Here is the new bow that drops in Sunwell Plateau.
At first I thought it was going to be marked "Hunter Only" since I heard that Blizzard was adding a new legendary bow for hunters, not anyone else. Possible change with the release of 2.4?
In my opinion no one else could really make full use of the stats (namely the increased ranged attack speed), and one of the new throwing weapons would most likely benefit the melee class masses, such as
, which drop from Sunwell Plateau and Magister's Terrace, respectively.
Because it takes no ammo.
With the obvious side benefit that you no longer have to carry a quiver and can, instead, carry an additional, normal bag without worrying that you will lose your haste bonus.
Hey, anyone know any drops from Kil'jaeden?
I've seen the annimations for kil'jaeden on youtube, and when he dies, this little thing keeps flying around him and he is trying to get it, and then he falls in the sunwell. Anyone know what that thing is? Also, you only fight kil'jaeden's top half.
There are three 'gates' in the Sunwell Plateau separating the various bosses to pace guilds progression.
They are opened by Blizzard at certain time intervals across all realms.
Reputation with the Shattered Sun, daily quests, and the now removed from live quest 'Essence of the Immortals' have nothing to do with opening the gates or unlocking bosses in the 25 man dungeon.
There will be a rogue with this bow and a hunter will tear.
how long untill the kill'jaeden info turns up
I doubt a whole lot of information will be available until the servers progress enough to see him. Nobody on the PTR got through all of the phases to my knowledge to even make him available.
I imagine it will take about 2-3 days per phase. I believe there is 5-6 phases, phase 2 having muliple parts, so you can do the math to figure how long it will take.
The thing I am wondering is if when there are more dailies to do, will the % raise faster.
The dailies have nothing to do with the gates inside Sunwell Plateau. The gates will only open when Blizzard pushes a button and opens them at the same time across all servers. With only a handful of guilds killing Brutallis and only 1 that I know of killing Felmyst it will be a long while before it's even necessary.
This is Wierd I can link items from Kil'Jaeden on my server from atlas loot but wowhead doesnt have his loot table up. Anyone know why?
EDIT: Nobody on the server has killed him or even gotten to him on my knowledge.
Another Edit: Nevermind stupid post i figured out why.... i could only see the items from the vendor on the boat not any of the other items that dropped and they were listed under kil'jaeden.....
So, when will the Kil'Jaeden drops and stuffs come update? I can't click on him and that means noone must have killed him, right?
Beware! (it appears not to have been posted yet)
In Sunwell Plateau, all mobs gain an aura called
which increases their chance to hit by 5% and reduces enemy chance to dodge by 20%.
This has been implemented to reduce the effectiveness of high-avoidance geared tanks. It also makes the rogue ability Evasion less effective. It doesn't requires any strategy to counter this, but it's a pain to deal with...
"Sunwell is an unmitigated success, but let's be honest here, it's taken us 18months to get back to a Naxx level of difficulty and encounter design and we got a meager 6 bosses, that's pretty pathetic."
The last gate is now open in EU-Realms as well.
Sunwell plateau cleared by SK-gaming (Vek'nilash), 25th may.
KJ downed by SK gaming. world first.
why the negative rep?
is there anywhere i can find a list of JUST trash drops? im not sure how i would apply a filter to find them... :(
i was wondering the same thing
So, Blizzard adds annother unfinished thing into the game.
This instance contains items that match, if that wasn't enough they match the f**king 3 new set pieces (no, even as part of the set, bracers belt and boots
don't match the T6
, they match the new lose epics -
). My point is that this is annother undone piece of sh*t, same thing with Zul'Aman, with (8 piece !!!) matching epics from badges and the instance.
You can clearly see that these were ment to be sets, like AQ/ZG X.5 Tiers, and Sunwell had to be the T7, but why wouldn't they release it? Propobly becouse Blizz is working on WotLK, and they don't have time to work on balancing the stats on sets, or they don't have time to actually make them for all the classes.
So, dear Blizzard, why the fu*k do you leave unfinished content, and start working on the new stuff?! The new Arena sets look like Power Rangers bulls**t, weapons stink and now this? This is a joke, you can't just say "f**k it, let's release a new expansion and drain those suckers' money".
Just like with all the recolored crap you got in TBC, i have to say: WTH Blizz, what the hell?
Do anybody know coordinate of sunwell?
IF yes then please tell me!
Anyone know the min level required to get into here? I was thinking 70, but other raids allow entry at level 65, such as: Gruul's, Mag's, ZA, and Kara (68). Not sure about SSC/TK but I know you need 70 for BT.
The minimum level is 71. I highly doubt anyone would take a lower level into this instance. IMO to be in here you not only have to be level 70, you have to be mostly wearing tier 6 to even help anyone out here.
The reson they all look all wierd is becaus the energy of the Sunwell is running through them
Sunwell Plateau was added in patch 2.4 along with the rest of the Isle of Quel'Danas area. It is the hardest raid instance currently in the game, and will remain so until Wrath of the Lich King comes out. The bosses are
first, next is
, next the Eredar Twins(
Grand Warlock Alythess
, and then finally
himself. The Sunwell Plateau takes a well organized, skilled, and geared group to complete. There is no attunement to enter the instance, you just must be in a raid group. The best PvE loot in the game is currently available here, including
Thori'dal, the Stars' Fury
, the best bow in the game. If you are going to attempt this, all I can say is good luck, and have fun.
Oddly, most of the loot at Sunwell looks like brutal gladiator (aka Season 4). So yeah, its ugly.
were can i find a map with all the bosses in sunwell ? i want to find Felmyst !
WE WILL FINSISH THE LEGION ONCE AND FOR ALL
5 man in sunwell enough ?
no isn't Sunwell still requires more than 5man 80s
wtf? why did I get purged?
that's true -.-
i think this place is harder then 10 men naxx xP
The listed required level here and on wowwiki says 70 but we took in someone at 68. Can anyone confirm / find out if all the BC raid instances require 65 or 68 to get in? If not that, at least Sunwell?
I've attempted PuG-ing this today, with the group mostly being 80, some ill equipped, some well equipped, and several 70+s. I must say that it was a
The raid is extremely hard for a PuG group like this. We didn't have problems at Kalecgos, Brutallus also went down when people started doing what they should, but Felmyst has proven to be impossible without really good coordination.
Compared to this, Naxx10 is nothing. I think this will be only comparable to Icecrown raid when it comes out, because it really took the best out of our group. ( I mean, even Malygos25 is easily PuGable when you take same general gear-check into coordination and people with M10 achievement )
Completion is still rewarding, and the 70s Epics might be a good uprgrade for the lower levels of your pug, or at least some things for you to remember the old times, when everything wasn't that overpowered and DK's weren't running around ( just waiting for them to become healers ).
So, I should stop writing crap. The upper half is somewhat sensible though.
Sunwell be with you.
Well this is still hardest instance...
Sunwell Plateau is the hardest and final raid instance in the Burning Crusade expansion pack. Within, Kael'thas Sunstrider is trying to summon Kil'jaeden the Deceiver, the leader of the demon forces in the expansion, through the Sunwell. Players fight through demon and Scourge alike in order to stop this powerful entity from entering the world.
Even in Wotlk with 80's my raid still failed miseribly! we couldnt even get past the first 4 mobs or so. it was very very ugly : [ - FYI~if u atemp to do this, GET A GOOD RAID GROUP OR BE READY TO FAIL. just thought i would put that out there.
I find it funny how people call Sunwell Plateau hard at level 80. No offence, it probably is challenging for a pug where people dont know how the fights work, but still this proves how challenging this place was at level 70. Not to mention people who try Sunwell at level 80 are playing the "nerfed" (or maybe I should say destroyed, since it screwed the whole beauty of raiding) Sunwell. Pre-WotLK patch 3.0 (or something) nerfed all raiding content so hard that after you had raiding the content before the patch, it felt like you're playing minesweeper on your own computer instead of World of Warcraft.
However, if you're raiding in WotLK I understand how people feel Sunwell is extremely hard as it is now. Compared to WotLK, even Ulduar, Sunwell is probably still harder when you go there at level 80. It's sad, but that's how the raiding is now. Epics for everyone! :)
To reach and defeat the final boss in Sunwell Plateau, someone must be in a raid group where all characters must be fully equiped with rare pve-items from 80-lvl instances and some items from 80-lvl heroic instances.
This may be heard really silly, since Sunwell Plateu is a BC-raid, but if someone compares the real values of some drops from Sunwell and 80-lvl instances, he will see that
-an 154-ilvl epic item has about the same value of an 187-ilvl rare item
-an 164-ilvl epic item has about the same value of a 200-ilvl rare item
That is why some guilds managed to clear Naxxramas with only BC gear.
Long ago the Sunwell radiated its magic to all of the high elves on Azeroth. Now the remnants of this ancient fountain have become the Burning Legion's latest target as the demons prepare to summon their commander, Kil'jaeden, with the last of the Sunwell's energy. Warriors from Shattrath City have joined under the banner of the Shattered Sun Offensive, endeavoring to crush the Legion's invasion before it becomes insurmountable. More heroes join the Offensive every day, but the might of the Legion cannot be easily suppressed. Fierce demonic servants guard the Sunwell Plateau, attacking anyone who interferes with their proceedings. As the time of Kil'jaeden's arrival draws near, Azeroth's heroes have one final chance to save their world from blistering devastation
hi guys do i need to have good reputation with some sides to go in raids or it's just for Hc dungons?
This instance is largely a joke at 80. Kalecgos dies in 2 portals, Brutallus is a tank and spank, felmyst you can kill without her going in the air. Twins remain a challenge somewhat and is now the hardest fight @ 80. Muru dies within a minute and KJ is the easiest boss. Dont worry about getting dragons anymore or his big damage abilities. You'll have him switch phases so quickly they wont matter.
How many players can you expect to need at 80, assuming all were Naxx25/Ulduar10 geared and competent?
its easily puggable, managed to get a grp of 25 lvl 80's (maybe a lvl 70 or 2 )
and we sliced thru, 80% of them never did sunwell but i managed to explain tacts clearly enough
this place is 100% tact dependant, no matter what lvl
How long does it take to run Sunwell?
Sunwell Plateau post-TBC:
Been running it with 13 regulars. We clear the whole place in just over an hour.
It's still reasonably difficult at 80; Felmyst is a DPS check - if you can get her down before the air phase you're golden, otherwise you'll have to rely on having an experienced breath caller and people moving correctly.
Twins can't be brute forced. You're going to have to deal with idiots wiping your raid if you're PuGing it, although perhaps there are some clever ways to work around Conflagrate being put on a dumb Death Knight.
The rest of the instance is pretty much tank and spank. On Kalecgos make sure you do *not* kill him before Sathrovarr is dead. Have your raid stand there looking pretty until portals appear, then send a tank, a healer and your best DPSers in (with a shaman if available).
Brutallus will require proper positioning and tanks that know where their taunt button is but is a pushover in practice. Sadly someone always anages to spread Burn around after he's dead and half-wipe the raid.
M'uru is also a joke. If you managed Felmyst without air phases stick a tank in front, add DPS and he'll drop his goods.
Kil'Jaeden is actually quite straightforward. After killing the three Hands of the Deceiver spread out. You'll be going through the phases quite quickly so it'll all seem like one phase. Sinister Reflections still need to be tanked. Avoid Meteors and Shadow Spikes (no worries, you can heal through it if you get hit). You can ignore the Shield Orbs floating around, they don't hurt anymore.
Have one person (preferably someone that knows what he's doing) be the Dragon. When the sphere becomes active everyone collapses into one spot to receive a Breath: Haste, then spreads back out.
Eventually he'll emote 'Kil'jaeden begins to channel dark energy'. Raid collapses back together. Person controlling dragon should cast shield near the end of the 8-second cast. Spread back out, rinse and repeat.
If your dragonman messes up or if you miss the shield you die, no pressure.
Grats on achievement, Thori'dal, Apolyon, etc. Kind of sad to see such a great instance reduced to the above but such is the way of things.
sunwell and the whole blood elf theme is just beautiful, I'm definitely gonna run alts through it at level but i wish blizzard would make a sliding scale system to where you can up the level of the instances and such. kinda like how there making a heroic deadmines and such. i think that would be awesome. even if it drops the reg loot, but have higher level mobs id be happy. =o)
edit - spellchecked
Cleared this one my mage with my guild so wasent a pug took like 25 min with 20 ppl about 150-175k raid wide dps so was easy for us :)
only 80s and ilvl245 geared :)
The Sunwell was a fount of mystical power at a convergence of powerful ley energies in Quel'Thalas, created by the high elves who used a vial of sacred water stolen from the Well of Eternity.
The well's potent arcane magic fed and strengthened all high elves on Azeroth. Thus, the city of Silvermoon was established. The power of the high elves grew, and they cast an enchantment on the Eversong Woods that would keep them bathed in eternal springtime. Elven magi crafted monolithic Runestones along the borders of Quel'Thalas; these massive stones powered a magical shield intended to mask the elves' magic from extra-dimensional threats and protect the land from invasion. The hard-won peace of Quel'Thalas would endure for roughly four thousand years.
Is the trash solo/duoable for a level 80 lock (and mage if duoed)?
I'm looking to get the recipes I didn't get a chance to while levelling. Also, do the BoE recipes drop even if someone without that skill is in the party? It might be nice to get the goggle recipes for my alt if they do.
duoable for a 5.6k gs prot pally+resto druid or pally+druid+some dps (probably hunter)?
anyone tried this or know
I came up with a grand idea for a Sunwell PUG loot distribution. In the future it might be able to be used for ICC PUG raids with level 85s. My plan requires that everyone use Vent for communication. The 80s would be recruited because of the chance to make gold and the non 80s would supply the gold and come because of the gear. I would be the loot master and loot everything into my inventory. At the end of each boss the loot would be distributed. Everyone (all 25 raid members) would roll on each item even if they could not use it. The winner of the role had two options. He or she could take the item and do whatever he or she wanted with it. This could be vendoring, disenchanting, trading it to a raid friend, keeping it for their own use, or keeping so that another player they did not like could not get it. What they do with it is their business. They can even sell it to another raid member. But they cannot auction it to the other raid members because that would be option number 2. If they chose the auction, then they would tell me the starting bid and I would auction it off in a live auction using Vent. This would be fun for the raid and generate gold for the non 80s and allow the famous Sunwell gear to be bought by the non 80s. I would give the item to the winner of the auction and give the owner of the item (the one who won the roll) 90% of the auction price and keep 10% as an auction house cut. At the end of the raid, all of the gold obtained from the auction house cuts would be rolled for. The vendor price for all the trash (pyrestones, etc.) would be added to the auction house gold. I would auction the sunmotes off and add this to the auction house gold being rolled for. If we had some successful runs and the auction was fun it could be a regular weekly event.
But alas, practicality set in. I can’t get a PUG group to use Vent. No one wants to waste their time on a lengthy loot distribution. They want to kill the boss and move on to the next one. A PUG does not want to take the time to listen to my explanation of the nontraditional loot system so they don’t understand why I loot everything as we go. There are ways to cheat on rolls including hacks/add- ons and double rolling. Somebody is always going to feel cheated in a PUG even if it was need vs. greed, let alone this unusual loot system. I could not make it work but I thought I would share my idea to see if anyone else could get it to work. Please tell me what you think.
Hello again and it is Trancemaster from Kazzak eu here with yet an other "how to 2-4 man swp"
as i said been haveing a few boring days so i slaped my friends in the face and tell em "lets go pown swp to see how easy you can push it"
so me Prot warr with 353 ilvl and my resto sham bud with 342 ilvl started middle of the night clearing trash in swp without much problems the only thing you have to take notice of is the *!@#ing SLAYERS since thay do a SLAYING SHOT dot that ticked on me for abotu 38k so i gues its based on character hp.
for first boss resto shaman was tanking the dragon wile i just waited to get ported to the shadow world and started burning hp on him in there. The tricky part is to push enught damage wile ur in there and still make sure you dont die since thay still do a fair pice of dmg. after the second time you have went into the shadow zone ^&*! ( portal place ) you gota taunt of the boss from my shaman bud since his arcane buffert debuff is going out of hand his takeing like 30k more dmg from his aoe attack ;P
so you taunt of the dragon and he goes into the shadow world insted to reset his debuffs and just keep burning the deamon in there. make sure you get both the dragon and deamon to same hp then just finish em quickly with all cds you have.
The trick is to make shaman use rockbiter weapon and then use unleash elements to actualy Taunt the boss so its totaly possible to switch treath etc ( just for those who were wondering how shaman could tank )
after that it was brutalius here we actualy had to take in 1 dps friend and 1 tank bud since we couldent find any way to get around his meteor slash @#$% and the damn enrage timer ;P
tho once we were 4 ppl 2 tanks 1 dps and 1 healer it was so ^&*!ing simple,
after that for felmyst we actualy just kicked our tank friend and keept the dps ( was a mage ) so we did him 3 man. there was 0 dmg output by the boss and there was 3 ppl to remove gasnova from so this was prob the most boring boss aswell. it tok us about 3 air phases before he died you burn aroundish 1.2mil ea time his on the ground.
the twins THIS was intresting since the mage actualy had to go afk for a wile so me and shaman bud decided to keep on pushing. these was a pain since thay have alot of spells etc. i am not gona go into much detail since we dident make it 2 man ill just say we did ALWAYS hit their enrage timer so no luck ;(
tho once mage came back and we had our normal setup of 1 healer 1 tank and 1 dps it was so simple just pew pew em down npz. tho just keep note of that u wanna start with the shadow one cuz of lower healing debuff etc. but once shes dead the warlock goes nuts and actualy starts hurting kinda bad but once you reach 20 stacks of her debuff its actualy np since thay will wear of and reset so thats important to keep in mind. just push all you got and its a easy encounter.
for Muru we actualy had to change tactics a few times. we started with "ye ye just aoe the adds in middle and then dps boss" but hell no that diedent work to well. so the tactic we went for was that me as tank just pick up all the adds and voidwalkers and tank em up on 1 side of the room and just deal with em alone wile shaman and mage burns everything thay #$%^ing got on the boss in P1. important note is that use fire elemental totem here because he will go wild and hunt the big shadow skulls etc so you dont have to deal with them.
after that when he went into P2 it wasent np what so ever just backpaddle wile tanking boss since he spawns black holes every here and there. was actualy only p1 that was hard.
for KJ we kicked our dps and went "lets just 2 man him" and it went extreamly well he hits for nothing and all his shield orbs etc are resisted aswell as the meteors etc. tho the only thing hurting was his shadow of thousand souls or what ever its called since we dident bother with useing the orb. it hits about 40k but easy to just shield wall when he blow it into your face. tho the problem was that we hit his enrage timer aswell so we had to bring back the mage to actualy get him down and then it wasent a problem at all.
so all in short you will need 1 tank 1 healer and 1 dps for 90% of the stuff in here and for brutalus you want an extra tank to get it easy mode.
if you have further questions how to bring this place down with 2-4 friends just trow a Pm on kazzak
fun thing is that mah post got downrated. I mean there gota be something half decent in it
But sure my english aint perfecto nor my grammer but meh.
I tried to solo trash as a level 85 DK both unholy and blood. In blood I had 135 K health before any buffs. 155k temporary health when I used a DK specific ability. My average item level is 338. I easily killed the robot with around 350K health. I could not get through a single one of the grouped trash with 136K health a piece before dying. I tried both blood and unholy. IMO trash is still not soloable. It might be with a healer. I guess it makes sense. I have 2 1/2 times the health of a well geared 80 tank and I know that three 80s could not manage it. I will try again next expansion.
well you cant solo trash packs because thay have SLAYERS in em whic use slaying shot that deals damage based on your hp. so for about 130-150k it ticks 25-30k trash packs without em is totaly possible to solo without much trubble.
but you wont be able to pass first boss alone
sooooo about this raid.... im trying 2 help my guild get it, so howmanyguildies is required to come to this raid for the guild sunwell achvmnt 2 work? since its a 25man shall we bring 8 is that the estiamte required for the credit to count?
I hope a day it will make it return maybe with other bosses or as a remake like zul gurub or zul aman
I've been doing this place on my warrior every week for the legendary and it's pretty easy. The raid has usually 5 or 6 people total (can be done with less definately) and we breeze right through it. I offer everyone 500g-1000g if the bow drops in compensation because I reserve it. Only boss that can give us a little trouble is brutallus because of the stacking debuff and a mess up on taunts. But usually if that happens we can all stack on each other to divide the damage more. I survived last week with 15 stacks of it on me so it's fine.
I take 2 healers, 1 tank, 3 dps for easiness and speed.
The trash is very easily soloed by a Frost Mage, here's what I did:
First, clear the Protector patrolling the entrance area (it hits for quite a lot on clothies, use Mirror Image if you have to). I foccused on killing the pack of BElfs protecting the way to the other room, Polymorph the Sunblade Slayer (he is by far the most dangerous mob in the group, using a physical skill that will slowly kill you, dealing damage based on your total health over 8 seconds), once he's sheeped, use Ring of Frost on the other 4-5 ads on the left, there should be some casters and 1 melee. Immediately burn down the melee (Sunblade Vindicator) while the other casters (healer included) are frozen. If you accomplish this, the hard part is done, focus on killing the healer first then proceeding to the dragonhawk pet and then the other casters, I recomend Frost spec due to Ice Barrier making the fight a lot easier. Don't forget to keep the Slayer sheeped! Also another neat tip, Spellsteal the HoT the healer put on the ads and himself, it ticks for 17k, more than enough to help you deal with the ads if your barrier is out of cd. And if an accident occurs and you get shot with the debuff by the Slayer, immediately Ice Block to lose the debuff and sheep it back as fast as you can, glyphed Evocation is also very useful for this situation.
Once you killed all the ads except the Slayer, keep it sheeped and go harvest your loot, go invisible and the group will fully respawn due to the Slayer being left alive. Repeat for infinite success and good luck on the patterns :)
3-manned Sunwell with a Holy Priest, MM Hunter and Prot/Ret Pally (myself).
Sunwell was actually a surprising challenge for us after having just cleared the other 25 mans (Hyjal, BT, SSC). None of us were very familiar with Sunwell, but we gave it a try and cleared it after a few deaths and changing our approach.
I got a bit carried a way on our first pull. I pulled both groups at the entrance thinking trash would be a breeze, and well, that was our first wipe. We zoned back in, now a little more cautious as we knew Sunwell wasn't going down easy. After looking through recount, the Sunblade Slayer accounted for 80% of the damage.
Take out any slayers first, and trash won't give you any problems throughout the whole run.
Don't make the mistake we did of killing Kalecgos first, he'll banish himself at 1 hp and you'll be forced to hearth out as he doesn't seem to reset. With that said, I went prot for this and tanked Kalecgos while the hunter and priest went in the shadow realm. I had no problems keeping myself up while they finished Sathrovarr on their second round. Kalecgos will enraged at this point, but it didn't make a noticeable difference.
We wiped at 20% with me tanking him as ret, the meteor slash was just hitting too hard. Our next attempt we had the hunter pet tank him, meteor slash seemed to have no effect on it, make these fight very easy. If you're without a hunter, 2 classes with taunts + healer could probably down him
Just pay attention to his deep breaths (permanent mind control if you're hit) during the air phase and you'll have no problems with this boss.
I remember a pug group of 20 people at lvl 80 falling apart here due to conflag. With only 3 of us though, this fight wasn't too bad. We stayed spread out and burned down Sacrolash first, the damage dropped dramatically after her death. You'll be left with an annoying 3 minute debuff from Alythess, at 20 stacks it was ticking for 6000 every 2 or 3 seconds.
Hunter burned boss while i went around aoe'ing adds. We didn't take much damage and low boss hp made this a quick fight.
There was a lot going on during this fight, and this being only my second time seeing him, I wasn't sure what everything did. He has a high hp pool, but this fight turned out to be rather straightforward. We didn't need to use the dragon at all since his ultimate - Darkness of a Thousand Suns, only hit us for 1/3 of our HP. Keep the orbs floating around in check and you'll have no problems with this boss.
Two videos I made about Sunwell Plateau. It shows me (Nobbel 85 Paladin) and my buddy (Eponympf 85 paladin) duoing Kalecgos. We tried to duo Brutallus, but got our butts handed to us. Aliceinchain (85 Shaman) joins and we 3-man the rest of the instance without a problem.
I hope it gives you a few pointers.
Part 1 Kalecgos, Brutallus, Felmyst
Part 2 Eredar Twins, M'uru and Kil'jaeden
Trash is soloable as of now, at least as a feral druid. Make sure to kill the Slayers first, blowing every cooldown if necessary. I approached every group with a Slayer in it in stealth/catform and burned down the Slayer first using every cooldown (Tigers fury + Berserk), thereafter going bear, healing up with frenzied regeneration, and taking the rest of the pack down. Gearlevel 377. That way I cleared every pack without problems.
We tried duo'ing this place with ele shammy and BM hunter. We managed all the trash packs with a little practice up to Kalecgos, but it seems due to mechanics that Kalecgos is not such a doable boss to duo - if one person is in spectral realm and second is not, and if Kalecgos blasts them to spectral realm inside of that first 60 seconds, you're SOL. Which is what happened to us. So we went to try Brutallus. The pet tanked Brutallus until the debuff stacked too high, and then it was all over. I think we could have done it with 3 people (both bosses, that is).
As of now an 85 blood DK can trivially faceroll through all the trash packs and mobs to farm for recipes / gold. Just kill Slayers first and AMS if one actually gets the debuff on you. It's questionable as to whether this is worth doing versus soloing TK/SSC gold-wise, but if the patterns sell well on your realm it's likely the better option. If doing this trash as blood, it's advisable to stick to T12 (Firelands) tank 2-piece as setting diseases up on everything increases the chance of a Slayer getting a debuff up on you.
In dragon soul gear I was able to solo all the trash to Kalecgos as frost, and it does go faster than as blood, but you do risk dying in that spec.
Just to emphasize:
KILL SLAYERS FIRST AND ASAP.
That's the only secret to farming this trash, the healer mob's holy nova won't even approach being able to outheal your damage in anything equal to or better than raid finder gear.
Strategy for two players from the
Solo/Duo Old Raid Compendium
, done at level 85 at patch 4.3 with ilvl 385-395 gear:
Sunwell Plateau is duoable.
In the first few packs of trash, the hunter-like
needs to be killed immediately, as they have an ability which deals damage equal to 100% of your health over 8 seconds.
After killing the first (Kalecgos) and fourth (Eredar Twins) bosses, you can teleport to where they were by talking to an NPC at the entrance of the raid.
In this fight, you will need one player to go in the shadow world to kill Sathrovarr before Kalecgos dies. Ideally, the non-tank DPS of the group should do this, as he needs to die first. I don't remember much else from this fight.
, a stacking debuff to his target, so he needs to be tank swapped. We were able to pull it off with a tank spec and a non-tank warrior, but it was a bit tough. Likely not doable by more fragile duo pairs. If you are a Blood DK, you can use Anti-Magic Shell to block one of these applications, making the stacks a bit less troublesome.
The main thing to worry about with Felmyst is during the air phase, when she casts
Fog of Corruption
. If you get hit by or stand in the fog, you will be MCed. She will cast the fog in a straight line either through the middle of the arena, through the north side of the arena, or through the south side of the arena. You can tell where she is going to cast it by her position in the sky when she is getting ready to cast - just make sure you are off-line from where she is facing. If by chance all of the party is MCed, then usually it will drop and no one will be MCed, as well.
This fight is difficult because both twins have a problematic ability, and when one is killed the other is restored to full health and gains some of the fallen one's abilities.
Contrary to most common full-raid strategy, Sacrolash needs to die first when duoing, as the healing eliminated by Sacrolash's Shadow Images (which clump on one player and rapidly stack
to 100%) is very difficult to deal with in a small-group scenario.
Make sure your partner gets away from you when
is cast. Unfortunately, you'll be dealing with that nasty ability the whole fight.
This fight, at lower DPS requires a dispel on the skull adds, but with high DPS you can burn through it without a problem.
K-dog is a surprisingly easy fight when compared to the other bosses you have faced. You can ignore practically every one of the fight mechanics. The orbs that fire shadow bolts hardly do damage, as the bolts are mostly resisted by a level 85.
Shield of the Blue
will do more harm than good, almost, so ignore the dragon orbs and block his
Darkness of a Thousand Souls
with your face.
I just soloed this whole place as a blood DK ilvl 464 dps gear.
Strategy- First off, single out the slayers in the first couple mobs, they will annialate you with percentage based damage.
Snuck around Kelecgos, of course, due to mechanics.
-Brutalus got me the first time, until I realized you need to use your AMS whenever he uses meateor slash as often as possible. Clears the debuff and take less damage. Piece of cake.
-Felmyst got me the first time also, until I learned to better avoid the 3rd stage green fog which follows her 'takes a deep breath' announcement. Easy if you do that.
-Alythess/Sacrolash- Focused on Sacrolash first, then Alythess. They can dish out some damage, but nothing serious.
-Mu'ru and Entropius got a little chaotic, lots of adds, keep aoe's up to deal with them, nothing serious again.
--Kil Jaejin--- Easier than expected, albeit kinda dragged on. Adds didn't hit for much- but I took out the orbs and the 'replicas of yourself' as soon as they spawned just to keep the room clean. AMS helps with 'Darkness of a Thousand Souls', but it doesn't hit all that hard if he gets one off on you.
Have fun soloing!
Easily solo'able as a boomkin druid at level 90. You can skip almost all the trash by stealthing through. Except for the gauntlet.
: Impossible to solo, just skip by pulling then resetting (or running past).
: Hardest one in here. Try to dish out as much damage in the beginning as possible. At the end let your dots do the work while healing yourself. Try to still get to eclipses.
: Tank and spank. The fog doesn't reset the fight anymore (or I got lucky).
: Tank and spank.
: Tank and spank.
: Tank and spank.
Video of the run (bosses only):
If you are looking for patterns it is best not to kill any bosses, most of the trash mobs are before any boss that you have to kill. Just farm the trash up to Brutallus and reset the instance. Beware of the slayers in the trash packs as they will still kill you at level 90 so take them out first.
Patterns are a low drop so don't expect to get them quickly!
Soloable by Paladin as Ret, but I went prot for Brutallus.
Single target the slayers in the first packs or they'll kill you with percent based damage.
Skip past Kalecgos, as you can't solo him. Just run around the edge of the platform right by him.
I went prot for Brutallus, as he still gives great vengeance and does quite a lot of damage. I tried him ret first time, but since the only way to reset the stacks is to bubble, it gets rough, to the point where I was having to use WoG instead of being able to TV every time. Use Divine Protection on as many of the cleaves as you can, and bubble around 50-60% to drop your stacks.
Everything else is pretty simple tank and spank as Ret. M'uru can kill you if you stand in his pools when he changes forms.
Not sure how many people have noticed but while standing at the sunwell itself, even before the final fight, you can hear the tune of the "lament of the highborne" song woven into the background of the music.
Soloed as a SV Hunter though on Brutallus, Felmyst and Kiljaeden I had to go BM with Spirit Beast, my ilvl is 486.
Trash for the most part is no worry except the Sunblade Slayers at the beginning of the raid. Kill them first with everything you have, there not difficult to kill your just trying to kill them before they do
If you are going solo then you will not be able to kill Kalecgos because of the portal mechanic in the fight and he will despawn, however if you hug the wall and run by him then you can skip him no problem.
With Brutallus having
and the spirit beast heal make's it a easy fight though I found that out after trying him as SV and slowly dying from the DoT and him at about 40%.
Felmyst is roughly the same HOWEVER you must do your best to stay out of her breath, I was able to get her down to just under 20% before she made a move to the breath, I avoided 2 of them but got caught in 2nd breath, thankfully/luckily there was no serious damage done and I was able to recover to move out of the way of her final breath and then easily finish her off. I can imagine better geared players than me could probably get her down before the breath maybe or atleast get really close to doing so.
A quick mention of the Eredar Twins before I go on Kiljaeden, alot of people I spoke to struggle on them but I found them fairly straightforward, I didn't even go BM for the heals. I focused on Sacrolash first then brought down her twin. (Oh and the mobs on the way to the twins must all be killed and not skipped as they need to be brought down or the twins do no spawn)
Last but not least is Kiljaeden, like Brutallus its a dps race, also like on Brutallus Kiljaeden won when I first attempted him as SV however on BM I didn't drop below 85% during the fight. Don't click the orbs to the side of the room, kill the Shadow Orbs that spawn during the fight in the air and if your doing fine and feel comfortable with how things are going then you can also kill your reflections that also spawn during the fight though you probably could leave them as there less annoying than the orbs are.
Good luck all and fingers crossed for the legendary :D
As of patch 5.2,
can now be solo'd.
Solo'd this on a blood DK, iLevel 474, mostly blue tanking gear, but some LFR dps gear. Pretty straightforward, nothing too crazy, but I'll explain my bouts in hopes it will help someone else.
This assumes: you're getting diseases on the target and spreading them via Roiling Blood or pestilence, you're using Rune Strike when it's available, Heart Strike when it's up and using Death Strike at every turn. If you do this, then all soloing Sunwell will cost is your time, about an hour or so if you want to be thorough. I put out about 30k dps in packs or between 26k and 28k on single target, for a point of reference.
Kalecgos I ended up bypassing after not getting him the first time, I didn't know that he could be solo'd now, so I'll go back and try again.
Eredar twins were not difficult, assuming you're using a logical rotation.
M'uru would be a bit trying to a class that doesn't have a good magic resist as he constantly pelts you and so do his adds, otherwise it's not hard.
Kil'jaeden was just time consuming, use your CDs throughout the fight and it'll be fine.
I never even stepped into Sunwell until I solo'd it, so I was learning the fights as they came, as such I didn't use any of the dragons on Kil'jaeden because honestly, I didn't know they were there. It would not have changed the outcome of the fight, as it was pretty easy.
Please forgive any formatting issues, first post here.
Soloed (mostly) this as a Destruction Warlock at level 90, 480 item level. Before you start, bring a handful of Tomes as you'll probably want to change around some talents to make certain things easier, as I did. To start out I was using Dark Regeneration, Howl of Terror, Dark Bargain, Unbound Will, Grim of Supremacy, and Mannoroth's Fury.
Trash before 1st boss
: I'm including this in the guide since there's some tricky stuff here that remains a problem even at 90. First of all, there are going to be Scouts that will activate a relatively powerful add when aggroed; kill these quickly to save yourself some annoyance. Secondly, there's a Slayer mob that fires Slaying Shots that hit HARD. Identify and kill these mobs before you engage a pack and you'll save yourself a wipe. In general, Mannoroth's Fury really helped me clear these packs quickly and efficiently; just be sure not to pull too many at once as the priests will keep healing the other mobs and they'll be impossible to kill.
: I was NOT (yet) able to solo Kalecgos. I got into the phase where you fight the demon and managed to get him down to about 20% before I died. I'm going to say here that I did not do any raids in TBC so I've never seen this boss's full mechanics before. However, if you hug the wall then you can safely skip this boss; the dialogue in the rest of the raid won't make much sense however!
: Easy peasy. Pull out your Voidlord and burn him down, using Health Funnel and Drain Life / Ember Tap as necessary to keep both you and your pet alive.
: This one requires some setup. First, swap Mannoroth's Fury for Kil'Jaeden's Cunning. Next, plop down a Demonic Gateway at either end of the narrow part of the rectangle-shaped area that you have to fight in, then your Demonic Circle right in front of one of the gates. Make sure Demonic Circle: Teleport is on a hotkey on your action bars so that you can quickly press it when you need to. Finally, make sure you still have your Voidlord.
When you start the fight you're going to be able to burn down the boss until a certain point (I don't know if this depends on her health or if it's timed); during this time just go through your normal rotation whilst keeping your pet alive. After a while she'll fly up into the air and shoot green lasers at you and summon some weak adds; just keep moving around and AOE the adds.
The next bit requires quick reflexes and lots of concentration:
After the laser zombie phase, she'll do 3 strafing runs along the length of the area; during each run she'll spray green gunk over a random half of the area. Head over to the demonic gateway that does NOT have your demonic circle by it and KEEP YOUR EYE ON THE BOSS. If she sprays the gunk and it's coming your way, immediately press your Demonic Circle: Teleport button to get out of the way. On the next run, if she's spraying the gunk in your current lane, immediately click on your demonic gateway to go back to the other side. On the third run, do the same as you did for the first. After the third run Felmyst will land, pop your cooldowns and burn her down.
: Again, this one is simple enough. Make sure you have your Voidlord out and just pick a sister to target down; when she dies, pop CDs and burn down the other one. On my run-though I did the Warlock one first. Archimonde's Vengeance will help you out a bit here; just use it whenever it goes off cooldown.
: Once again: Voidlord, tank and spank. Mannoroth's Fury is a big help here as there will be LOTS of adds and they WILL hurt, a lot.
: KIL'JAEDEN! Sorry, totally geeking out here. The Deceiver is actually not that tough of a fight at 90, although it certainly is an epic one. All you really need to do is just burn him down like normal, and of course kill the mirror image adds that come every once in a while. Be sure to NOT click on the orbs that Kalecgos talks about, they seeemed to bug the game out for me. If you're a class that has Holy spells, you're going to enjoy the final phase of the fight as Kil'Jaeden gets a debuff that increases the amount of Holy damage he takes. Sadly, as a lock, I have no such spells D:
And that's it! Be sure to stick around after the end for some epic lore. Thanks for reading, and let me know if you have anything to add on to this!
Ouch! This place still hurts pretty bad for me. I'm an ilvl 494 BM hunter who wanted to try this place out, as so far, it's the only raid I haven't done yet.
I attempted Kalecgos, but even with my cooldowns all going I couldn't get the portal phase down and he reset, so I quickly ran to the bridge before he came back. Got to the second boss....ow. Even with pet taunt on, I was getting hit with Meteor Slash with Burn going for 8k a tick, but for a period would hit me for 17,600.
I will be attempting this again, but this time I'm bringing my Prot Paladin husband along. I find it pretty interesting that BC raids are still difficult, and the one time I set foot in here at the end of Cata a group of 10 raid geared people were still wiping on Kalecgos.
Edit: I was able to fully clear the place, except for Kalecgos, by simply switching my talents from Aspect of the Iron Hawk to Spirit Bond. While Aspect of the Iron Hawk is pretty nice, the healing for both yourself and your pet is brilliant for solo'ing old raids, such as this.
I have a DK 80 and a lock 86, is it worth to solo this raid? Other than the satisfaction of doing it? I know the gear it's obsolete, is there any mount drop or rare weapon worth have it?
solo'd as a 486 destro lock. the patterns that drop from here sell extremely well on my realm(kael'thas) can't wait for reset. still one of the best places for moggable gear.
I wonder, if it would be possible to solo this place as lv83 for the legendary. I'm reaaallly tired of leveling anymore (just recently got my lock and druid to 90, making them 4th and 5th max lvl total).
Anyone got an estimate on when this place would be doable (without taking hours on wipes ofc).
Very easily solo'd as ilvl 508 WW Monk. No problems with any mechanics on any boss, probably because they all died in about 5 seconds.
This is a 25 man raid and the raid queue isn't even working for a level 70, so unless you can put a 25 man raid together, or are in guild that would bother to work on a 70 raid than, all this gear is of limits. Its very annoying. Its pretty much transmog gear for higher levels now. .
Even at Level 90 the Sunblade Slayers are a pain. If you decide to solo this make sure you take them out first or you'll die in the first few seconds of just trash fights.
Solo'd this instance last week as a 525 Frost Mage.
Note: Frost Mages more competent than myself can probably get away with burning through everything just fine, but I've always had problems with self-healing when soloing BC and LK raid bosses. I changed my tier four talent to Cold Snap and my tier 6 to Rune of Power. I also switched one major Glyph to Glyph of Evocation. Be sure to bring extra reagents, in case you decide to switch things around in the middle of the instance.
: As mentioned previously, the Sunblade Slayers in the very first pull are very deadly. Either polymorph them or burn them down first. (Polymorph is easiest in my opinion.) Once they're taken care of, the rest of the trash in this instance can go without mention.
: Upon reading all the posts on this page before attempting this instance, I decided I'd heed the warnings and skip Kalecdos. Hug the wall to the left (you can remain mounted). Your elemental, if its out, won't tag him. Don't fret like I did.
: I placed two runes of power down on the ground and popped Ice Barrier before pulling. On CD, I evocated to replenish health/mana and cast Mirror Image to take the aggro off me. Other than that, I simply burned the boss down.
: If you don't kill her before she becomes airborne, she will remain at 1hp and you cannot damage her. No amount of bombs or ice lances will take out that final hit point. Once she comes back down, finish her off.
: The sisters. Same strategy as the first two fights. I placed my two runes of power on the ground, put ice barrier on, and stood in the same spot to kill them. Burn one sister, then the other.
: The ads in this boss are a slight nuisance because they're constantly hitting you, but the boss goes down so quickly that you can ignore them. If you really need to divert their attention away from you, cast mirror image.
: Kil'Jaeden. This is the most epic battle I've ever seen in my solo adventures. To everyone that was around in Burning Crusade, I envy you. I truly wish I could have been around to experience this in its glory. ANYWAY!
Once again, I put two runes of power on the ground, put on ice barrier, and this time I evocated once. The only thing worth mentioning about this fight is that the mirror-image ads might overwhelm you if you don't take care of them. Three or four arcane explosions will kill them easily.
As you can tell by now, Two Runes of Power + Ice Barrier + Evocation form my base of survival for solo raiding, however I feel it may be a bit too paranoid. Any suggestions or corrections from more grown-up mages would be much appreciated!
Ilvl550 retribution paladin solo: piece of cake. I run through in about 30 minutes. Did not even use any defensive cooldowns. I skipped the first boss, as it is possible. The rest is just stand and nuke. Avoid bad zones on the ground, pop all aggressive CDs on the bosses and it will be OK. Same with the trash: if you deal one group at the same time and don't pull together the full yard, it should be OK.
The only one issue is that my pally cannot wield the legendary weapon. My hunter is just around lvl50, my lvl90 rogue and warrior are not strong enough to solo; rogue died on the second boss :(
May be if I get some better gear, and read how to maximise the damage output and survivability of the rogue, I can do it.
Again, I have to cheat: ask a friend, put my pally and the rogue in the same raid, enter the instance with both of them, clear with the pally until the end, and try to kill the last boss with the rogue or with the warrior.
Just ran this place on my 572 combat rogue. Didn't stealth past the trash and only used sprint/rocket boots 1x each. Took 11min 11sec including the RP before 2nd boss and the wait before 3rd. Incidentally while this the first time I timed myself (5th time on this toon 20th at least total) I got the bow, so I doubt I'll update this post with various times are WoW progresses.
Just finished soloing this on my ilvl 480 Assassination rogue. Brutallus was by far the hardest fight. If you can kill him, you can clear the instance.
535 Destro Lock
just mass agrrod every mob i had rnage on and RoF em to death
never came clsoe to dying(light of lost liek 8k hp lol)
bosses.....no issue. dragon was at 1hp when he portaled and killing guy in it was easily doable.
Brut was most dangerous one(as he channels damage on u) but not a threat as even if u take it all(assuming u dont take talent that shields u when u do dmg) it wouldnt come close to killing you.
Word of Warning for Last boss.....
use the orbs if you are soloing it...my 1st time in there idk what they did and used 1 when he was just over 2M hp and it resets fight :l
also cost liek 10G repair bill but sellign epics and stuff(not cloth as i using it) netted me 300G profit :)
Soloed for the first time as a Beastmaster Hunter last night wearing basic Timeless Isle gear + a 4/4 upgraded bow. I used a
for tanking, and the
talent as it will outheal pretty much anything in old raids.
Glyph of Mend Pet
Glyph of Misdirection
are both handy.
: This is a very straight forward raid with three exceptions:
Take down any
as soon as possible; they are capable of doing massive amounts of damage if they hit you or your pet.
You need to have aggro on
(1st boss), so turn off your pet's
(or dismiss the pet entirely), or else he may reset.
's (3rd boss) deep breaths - three in total - by watching her and in which direction she's facing (there are three possible 'lanes'). If you get hit by her
Fog of Corruption
you'll be stuck in Mind Control limbo due to the massive heals from Spirit Bond which gets a boost from the fog (shut down the game client and give it a moment before you log back in and try again).
(last boss) takes a while to kill, but that's it. Clicking any of the orbs in the room during the encounter will cause him to reset (curiosity got the best of me). Don't click the orbs.
Thori'dal, the Stars' Fury
dropped on my first try!
My first run through SP since the 6.0 squish and "legacy" content changes ... and I apparently killed M'uru/Entropius too quickly. He did not have time to enact a single mechanic (other than changing phase to Entropius), nor did a single add have time to arrive.
He went splat, I got my loot as combat ended and then -- then I was stuck. The room's "combat lockout" barriers would not go away. I hearthed, came back to the instance after a brief afk ... still there. Discovered for the first time that (unless I'm missing something? a porting NPC?) there's no way to get back to the entrance of the instance because of how you get down to Brutallus/Felmyst, so I used the character-stuck 'death' to leave and come back. Went out, reset all instances, went back in ... barriers still there.
Really sucks to be on the last boss and get blocked due to bugs. I submitted a bug report about it, and will try to pick back up on my raid lock tomorrow night, but if anyone should happen to see this soon:
If you're a BAMF DPS, dps M'uru/Entropius slowly! Give him time to try and kill you, and hopefully you'll avoid blowing the mind of the combat detection.
Hello, I had the same problem as Kiyoine had. Killed M'uru too fast and got stuck in the room. I opened a ticked and got following response.
This issue is normally resolved by hard resetting the instance by exiting it for at least 30 minutes and then zoning back in. This should allow you to progress further if you run into the issue again. This happens to a lot of scripted enounters. So it is best to slow down on your DPS 1/2 way through the fight. ;)
Hopefully it helps so you won't waste your time and nerves :) Especially if your HS is on CD.
Beware the fight with M'uru / Entropius in WoD, if you kill these bosses too quickly a barrier stays up in the room blocking you from continuing forwards or going backwards. It does disappear after a while, but I've heard it takes at least 6 hours.
When solo'ing Sunwell Plateau after Brutallus, you may find yourself stuck in the instance without a lawful way to leave. If you don't have a portal to Shattrath or Silvermoon and want to remain on the island, say to turn in T6.5 tokens, there is a way.
Destroy your Hearthstone, click <Game Menu> - <Help> - <Character Stuck> - <Teleport to Graveyard>, and you will die and be teleported to the graveyard, with no durability loss. You can then process to do whatever you need on the island.
You don't have to destroy your Garrison Hearthstone for this to work.
You are welcome.
I also have figured, that while in Sunwell Plateau, you can queue for a dungeon or a battleground and then leave. You will then be teleported to the graveyard while remaining alive. =D
Now the great pet race for the new Raids with Leashes II
Had NO luck on run number 1.
@1 run per week....going to be a long process to get the four from each
The following pets have been added to this zone for

You can mount in this zone.
You can use
for easy vendoring if you have it.
The next, closest vendor would be

If you're a
your pet's taunt ability during the

You must kill
most of the trash
Use caution when killing

Near the end of the instance,
at low health. This makes them immune to all but Holy damage. Either kill them quickly or wait out their 1m buff.
You do not have to wait around after you kill the last boss,
. There is only dialogue after the encounter.
Sunwell Plateau Entrance:
you can completely skip all the trash leading up to brutallus. just mount up and high tail it for the ledge you jump off of (be sure to go around kalec).
don't worry about madrigosa's ice wall, there seems to be a pretty long window before it's considered solid and you can usually just run through it. just be wary there is a chance of kalecgos teleporting you back to his area, but ive only seen this happen once so far
Some time ago I was casually soloing this raid when all of sudden I heard ,,I have waited long enough!'' in deep, demonic voice just as my java update popped up! Now I know it was Kil' jaden yelling, but it scared the crap out of me back then. From that time i always update java as soon as it pops out...
If you want to get out of that place after soloing it to trade your tokens, you don't need to use your heartstone ; queue for a dungeon or, better, a battleground and leave it. You will be teleported at the graveyard.
Not including what you can get on the AH for crafting items and the pets. By killing all the mobs in the raid, you will make around 290g.
Sunwell Plateau Entrance
can kill all at max speed, no bugs or walls or waiting time. just did it today its all ok!
Can be easily soloed by a Lv.110
as of 9/30/2016 Patch 7.0.3
Anyone having trouble entering on heroic or mythic difficulty? The "drop" tab lists an H and M difficulty, but I can only get a normal difficulty (no skull on entrance). Wondering if over all the patches, the difficulties have been removed?
Considering a portal now spawns next to the Frozen Throne after defeating the Lich King in Icecrown Citadel, one would be equally welcome in the Shrine of the Eclipse upon defeating Kil'jaeden. Acceptable destinations would be the start of the instance, as per Icecrown Citadel, or perhaps Sun's Reach on the Isle of Quel'danas, as per Magister's Terrace.
Thank you for posting this and to all the ppl that added extra info it helped me so much please keep it up you all rock
Attempted to solo this with my lvl 94
, item lvl 118 using my usual strategy:
on clusters of trash and voidtanking the bosses. The trash went down fast, and I understood fast that
s had to be included in the initial trash spell attack for avoiding it dragging more mobs to the fight. The
s are one of the weakest mobs in the instance, so once attacked they goes down in seconds.
This went well till I got to
, who during my first attempt mind-controlled me to attack and kill my voidwalker, and upon my minion's death I got killed instantly. During my second attempt did I dismissed my tank so I was fighting alone. During the stage of mind control there was no one for me to attack, and I was instantly killed instead. So I gave up.
Will make another attempt when my levels are higher.
To get here now, there is a portal inside the central hub area of Shattrath.
Did a solo run of this as a L60 BM hunter (without my pet out) and had a small issue after I killed Brutallus - I one shot him and then it took forever for Felmyst to show up. I actually thought it had bugged, and I would need to hearth out. But after several minutes, while I was looking up wowhead to see if anyone else had this issue, Felmyst eventually showed up, flying overhead. I was then able to kill and progress.
But just a heads up to anyone attempting this I guess, stick around for a few minutes and Felmyst will show up.
