Caught me totally by surprise. Will be a nice buff. Hopefully BM will be worth using in raids to use this ability
omg now BM hunters get Bloodlust, i need a core hound
OKAY, FLUFFY, BLOODLUST!
...oh, Fluffy died because he's still being controlled by a huntard. =(
Nice to see hunter pets getting some good utility.
"What's that? we already have a mage AND a shaman? that's okay i'll pull out silithid and give everyone fortitude buff since we don't have a priest!"
let's hope hunters use their brains.
Bloodlust for bm hunters? as it if wasn't enough with mage having it... you gotta be kidding...
Although it would be amazing, I don't think that they'd really give this to our pets, (I mean come on, not even a
it seems a little far-fetched.
I'm not definite but I'm pretty sure this is a spell used by the Corehounds (Ancient Corehound) from Molten Core. It might be a beast skill, and since they're tameable be mistaken for a pet skill?
Just a guess. Would be kind of insane to have our pets give Bloodlust.
I can see what you mean, but one thing I'm having trouble with is making
out of our pet giving Bloodlust.
I can understand why a Shaman can cast it,
"Bloodlust requires a drop of blood mixed with earth to cast."
- it makes sense for a Shaman to be able to cast it, their class is connected to the elements including earth - but a pet?
How does a pet cast Bloodlust on the whole raid?
Also, why, if a pet can cast it, can't everyone else? If it's as simple as smelling blood and battle crying/roaring (which my first and only guess as to how a pet would give it)
why can't everyone do it?
"Sorry Mr. Rogue but your vocals just aren't good enough for us to desire bloodshed when you scream."
You sir, are and idiot.
Umm missing the point the mechanic is inspiring or aiding your teammates to fight harder for a short time that is the only mechanic behind bloodlust/heroism, timewarp, ancient hysertia.
Finally, I can actually use my corehound thats been sitting in my stables for like 2 years
'Cause I want it now!
I want it now!
Give me your heart and your soul!
And I'm breaking out!
I'm breaking out!
Last chance to lose control!
so i plan to be a worgen come cataclysm and a thought just struck me.
aspect of the fox
and this and every other useful cooldown you can think of. closest thing i can think of to the matrix, running circles around your enemy jumping around with disengage, and firing as many attacks as you damn well please with no crowd control being able to touch you until you reach a pillar in which case it stays out of sight. i'm getting ready to make a few people quite angry. and i'd also throw master's call in there just for good measure.
i have a lvl 77 and a lvl 78 corehound and both dont have this ability, what do i have to do? is it because i tamed them before this 4.0patch and its bugged? or what
With the new pet management system beastmaster hunter will be able to adapt their pet to the group/raid so this ability is good because it can be used in a group with no 70 shaman/or 85 mage and the only prerequise is LVL 69 to tame the pet so it will be in use in group without shaman for the leveling and might even be used endgame but as i said before if the skill isnt needed the hunter could easily switch to an other pet.
In short its a nice possible group buff and in the worst case you change pet so there is a gain and no lost.
Spells that share the same effect:
haste increased by 30%

One man beast cleave. Epic
I must point this out. For the first time, it is possible to bring this kind of buff into 60-69 Battlegrounds. /Dance for the twinks!
This is a great ability in battleground, especially when you are carrying around four of them.
The debuff that this gives last 10 mintues, while the buff cool down is 5 min.
In battleground, people will be dying all the time, so the debuff is unlikely to last it's full duration. So, if you carry around 4 core hounds, you can have almost endless heroism for you team by dismissing the pet after using this ability and call a new one with fresh ancient hysteria to pop when there is a next battle.
Just did this in ab and i was able to use it for every skirmishes.
Try it, it's fun :D
When all 3 haste buff classes are in raid or even pvp, with communication, I see Hunters get demanded to use it. Why?
Shamans and Mages buff costs 26% base mana...whereas Hunters costs nothing. (cost being BM spec and doing less overall dmg than other specs)
But right now I have yet to see a Hunter raiding with BM spec, half serious raiding. Besides that it could be fun to do heroics as BM.
Does your pet auto-cast this? I know you can turn it off, but that seems like it could be an issue.
No longer usable in Arenas for the upcoming Patch (4.0.6)
Runty's ancient hysteria: 0.1% haste buff.
suprised they dont have a seperate version for the curse u get in mC
some thing amazing happened today. i dont know what i did, but i had my core hound in some BG's, i finished logged out. logged in today and it still had ancient hysteria. the time ancient hysteria had was 11 days! idk what i did, but any buff it gave it, stayed for 11 days. it was great. but as all good things go, i got mind controlled while farming ravenlord. i was carelessly watching it tear into random mobs, and an enemy threw a mind control totem, then my core hound got slightly smaller, and all its 11 day buffs were gone. wow hates me. toys with me and then crushed my heart.
please! anyone who had this please respond i want to control this and do it more often making the most amazing thing ever.
This is most probably a tooltip issue (so don't expect this to actually work), but reading it literally implies that an alliance hunter could pop this and afterwards a shamman could cast Heroism (as the debuff only mentions Bloodlust and Time Warp).
The glitch is obviously caused by reusing the (horde-only) Bloodlust's Sated debuff instead of having a separate one.
I'll try to test this and post the results, for purely informative purposes, when I have a chance (unless someone can check it sooner, of course) but, even if this works, I don't recommend relying on it, as it would be an obvious unintended exploit and put you at a risk of penalties (suspension or ban, depending on the magnitude of the abuse) against your account.
as of WoD, this ability also became part of the nether ray family.
as a non exotic pet it's Bloodlust is avaible to all hunters.
and to make things even more interresting to tame a nether ray, they can be tamed before BM hunters can tame Core hounds since
requires lvl 69 and the earliest nether ray you can tame is
at level 46 already!
As of 6.2 BM hunters can have a Blood lust / Hero as soon as they hit 20. Since
is now learned at level 10.
Seems like Nether Rays have a similar spell, but in the case of Ornat, it's called Netherwinds, not Ancient Hysteria.
