As far as I know this enchant doesn't stack with +speed on Arathi Basin boots you get at revered (e.g. http://www.wowhead.com/?item=20053)

I'm wondering if it will stack with rogue talents in Burning Crusade though

Mainly for twinks or people who like to run fast. When a twink this is perfect example for rogue. Get Shadowfang (main hand) Assasin's Blade (off hand). Feet of Lynx. Green Tinted Goggles. And the rest get any with +agi with it. Now enchant the boots with this and you will take any foe down in PvP.

Our tanks have it on some spare boots for the Ossirian fight in AQ20 and the Razorgore fight in BWL. Two PVE fights where speed saves your life.

None of the Increase Movement Speed effects stack I believe. This Enchant increases your speed by 8%.
JewelCrafters will also be able to make a Trinket that increases Movement Speed with a Dodge % as well called, Jewel of the Hare, (if i recall correctly) (Alrdy farmable pre-expansion)

I never wear a pair of boots without this enchant. It allows that extra little bit of speed to run from chasing aggro, or even in PVP situations.

Do not underestimate this enchant. For both melee and casters, the run speed bonus surpasses other enchants like 12 agility in any boss fight that requires movement.

For PvE, either Boars Speed or Cat's Swiftness are going to be big payoffs. Increased run speed is hands down the best enchant you can get for PvE. Derivation:

Let D be your dps without a boot enchant. For the run speed to provide more benefit, we need:
(D+12A)(T-t) < (D+6A)(T-t/1.08)
which simplifies to
T < t/(6A)
where k = 1/1.08. For example, gives A = .16286, and so we have
T < (.07581D + 1.074) t
Using some actual data, a shaman that does betwen 900 and 1000 dps will have T < 76.88t
For 5 minutes, we would need t > 3.90 seconds and for 6 minutes we would need t > 4.68 seconds.

So for a 5 minute fight if you spend roughly 4 seconds moving between adds, running to the boss, etc, Run Speed provides a superior DPS benefit.

I've sold this enchant for as little as 5g and as much as 20g around the weekend. Very profitable, especially since it can be trained.

In my eyes this is the best pvp enchant possible to get on boots (exept from cats/boars speed) as long as you dont got the meta or a talent. Especially for melee classes or hunter, because they are the ones that really needs to get close/far away from their enemies.

So in my opinion, this is better than stamina/agility in pvp for most classes.

One question: does this affect pets?

This is a very good enchantment for levelling characters before they get their mount. Have at least a pair of non-binding (common quality) cloth boots in your inventory with this enchant on, to equip when you have to run back to hand-in quests, etc. You can give these to another alt or a friend when you get your mount.

In the long run it will cut down your levelling time significantly.

Does this increase mount speed? If you're running at 108% speed, if you go on a 100% speed mount, will you run at 216% speed?

If you are too cheap to get Boar's speed or Cat's Swiftness, you get this enchant instead. Otherwise, you are doing it wrong.

Actually, all movement speed increasing items stack with each other (but the talents or other stuff that clearly says "does not stack" dont stack with anything) but, there is a cap of 10% mount speed increase and a cap of 8% run speed increase from items. It would be a bit silly to do items that are perfectly similar in effect, but one item would stack and another wouldn't. So there is a cap.

Kunou: its not needed but why waste time running when you can charge away and kill 10% of their total threat

MasterMace: please take nose out of the words and look at screen what happen...you intervene someone away(range dps is nice choice) and then you not waste time on running away and again kill 10% Threath
