The drop rate for these things is in the toilet. Killed over 70 Constrictors to get 6 drops. Good thing was, I drove through about 3/4 of a level doing this quest since I had to kill so much.

The mob they drop from is called "Mutated Constrictor"

And btw my droprate was about 75%

all of these monsters exist on both sides of the road that leads form the crossroad north of Blood Watch to Vindicator's Rest to the West.

While you're doing this quest, beware Matis the Cruel (http://www.wowhead.com/?npc=17664). He's a level 18 elite Blood Elf on a level 40 Warlock mount that roams the road north of the Cryo Core.

This quest is annoying, and slow, because the drop rate's so low.

I also found the mobs SW of Blood Watch, at 43,62.
My drop rate was just under 30%. (6 out of 21)

Mehh, i got lucky i guess, about a 45 - 50% drop rate for me, and a 75% for the bear flanks. Not bad. Can't complain =]

To be honest, this wasn't such a crap drop rate... I got mine in about 14-15 kills... The only big deal was they are a bit widespread, that's pretty annoying... My suggestion to lower levels, would be to try and avoid anything but the Mutated Vine things.... :D Enjoy. :3
