seems like even though you obtain the quest before the faire opens, you must wait for them to set it up to hand it in.

Been waiting for 2 days for faire to open, Level 70 friend of mine says it takes about 3-4 days to open after you obtain the quest, so just be patient.

The Darkmoon Faire's usual schedule has it arriving on site on the first Friday of the month. For the weekend, the carnies will be seen setting up the midway, and the Faire will actually start early on the following Monday.

Seems like you can only get this quest while the Darkmoon Faire is in Elwynn Forest, at least I couldn't get it while it was in Terokkar Forest.

Haven't had the chance to see if you can get it while the Faire is in Mulgore yet.

Is it possible to take this and the Horde version at the same time? I noticed that the Free Ticket Voucher is the same for both quests and Unique, so I would assume not.

If not is there a level of Reputation where this becomes unavailable? Or is it still available if you've done the turn-ins the maximum number of times?

This quest has been updated to the 4.3 Darkmoon changes...
Does this mean that if somebody did this quest's old version, he/she cannot get it now? (at least I can't see it :( )

This quest is currently not available to players who completed the version of this quest that existed prior to patch 4.3, and thus, you lose out on 5 Darkmoon Faire tickets.

"Unfortunately, “The Darkmoon Faire” quest cannot be made available for characters that previously completed the quest. This is due to the fact that this quest is not a new quest, but reuses the old quest ID. We realize this was an error and will be taking steps to not repeat it for future quests, but it does mean that characters that completed it before will not be able to complete the new version with the ticket reward."

If you did this quest before 4.3 patch You can obtain Darkmoon Adventurer's Guide by talking to Selina Dourman @ 55.55, 54.75 in Darkmoon Faire Island.

here is what I wrote to them after my first ticket was met basically with "sorry you did this quest already, go to wowhead if you want to look up quests and items" (yea the GM really did redirected me to wowhead)

-- First of all this is ridiculous, If Blizzard wants to keep its players it should give people what they want when it is a SIMPLE and EASY issue to solve. I did the ORIGINAL Darkmoon Faire quest which rewarded (at the time) Darkmoon Prize Ticket, this was BEFORE the last patch where Darkmoon Faire was OBVIOUSLY changed and my ORIGINAL tickets are now useless (tattered*)...WHY punish OLD players who have KEPT playing your game by making them unable to obtain the same thing(s) as newer players? --

This kind of stupid poop is why millions have quit already

Please note that you cannot get this quest until lvl 5. I tried last night on my newly created shamen and was unable to get it but was able to on my lvl 5 hunter.

I was teleported from Eastern Kingdoms (Silvermoon city) to the Darkmoon Faire for a quest and now I don't know how to get back. Any suggestions ? :) thanks.

Here's a list of all sources of 暗月奖券 currently in-game.

8 暗月奖券 per day per character from the following daily quests.

The 暗月游戏奖品 rewarded from these quests can be mailed between characters, allowing you to farm 8 tickets per-character per-day.

15 暗月奖券 per day from the two account wide pet battle quests.
暗月宠物对战！: Rewards 5 tickets.
全新的暗月挑战者！: Rewards 10 tickets.

5 暗月奖券 every 3 hours in the PvP chest.
At 12:00, 3:00, 6:00, and 9:00 server time, the 暗月宝箱 spawns in the Darkmoon Death match, containing 5 tickets. Only 1 player can loot the tickets each time.

80 暗月奖券 per month from monthly quest items.
阵亡冒险者的日记: 5 暗月奖券
阵亡者的旗帜: 5 暗月奖券
收缴的徽记: 5 暗月奖券
灌魔水晶: 10 暗月奖券
怪异的蛋: 10 暗月奖券
神秘的魔典: 10 暗月奖券

These can be found in battlegrounds and dungeons with the 暗月冒险者指南, or bought on the Auction House.

Since you can only do 2 primary and 4 secondary profession quests, this yields a total of 20 暗月奖券 per month.

20 暗月奖券 per month from monthly quests
巢母之死 started from 月牙的毛皮 for killing 月牙 the first time each month.
实力检测 completed by killing 250 creatures that yield experience or honor.

100 暗月奖券 from a one-time treasure hunt.
希拉斯的秘密宝箱 started by buying 褪色的藏宝图 for 100 暗月刃喉鱼

All told, you can make 281 暗月奖券 per month from doing the daily and monthly quests, plus an additional 8 per character per day from alts. Also, 5 暗月奖券 every 3 hours if you win the deathmatch, and finally 100 暗月奖券 from the 1 time fishing quest.
