Oh boy do I hoped this is changed before it goes live. Currently on beta: wings last for 30 seconds, then disappear. Cocoons are rare enough that you may find one or two AT MOST during those 30 seconds. The entire area is filled with evil butterflies who can interrupt your looting the cocoons, or worse... Daze you. When dazed, you'll lose your wings and fall to the ground, most likely killing you. I spent about 20 minutes doing this one world quest. Yikes.

This one makes it easily into my top 3 most annoying world quests ever done, tons of moths adding, wings last only enough to fetch 1-2 cocoons, but you are already after 1 cocoon half dead cause adds, and if you die you have to run 400yards each time.
You get slow fall when wings end but you just fall through any mobs adding them, i died while falling down, actually i died 3 times doing this quest(only 3 times cause of feign death after each wing ended).

Never again, never i will do this unless they change it.

I cannot finish the WQ at all.
You can get the wings but when you click on one of the cocoons you automatically descend and get no cocoon at all.
Is there something missing or is it just bugged?

This WQ currently bugged, the moment you interact with the cocoons your wings are removed and you fall before the looting animation finishes. The solution I found is there are cocoons that are attached to small branches so land on the branch and then loot the cocoons till the bug is fixed. One example 50,59 (or 50.87,61.57) coordinates has a cocoon that is easy to loot. Be aware you still need to jump off and safely land, as a priest it wasn't hard but some classes might have an issue with this.

I have found that for many of the cocoons hung under the platforms, you can stand on the platform, zoom the camera out and then loot the cocoon without using the wings.

Use 魔翅之篮 in the area to get flying buff.
You have to get 10 炽蓝蛾之茧 from the trees
It's guarded by moth and if you get dazed by them the flying buff will disappear.
So my strategy is to take Cocoon from the tree trying to avoid being hit by moth
then return back to refresh the flying buff.

As of now, since it seems to be bugged, best method for me was to land on platforms zoom out and loot it or land on tree branches and try loot them while positioning the camera. Supper annoying, since you will need some sort of slow fall to get back down after each tree and go get a new flying buff.

Note: if you are a druid in travel form the flying buff won't work. You have to shift into some other form.

quest is bug or not ... can be done :)

either if you get the fly dust or not, you can click on cocoons just need to zoom out max and try to click through floor

So apparently Blizzard has elected not to playtest gimmicky daily quests, turning what should be a quick and unremarkable side activity into a half-hour-long ordeal.

Touching the Cocoons you need to collect will immediately remove the flying buff, cancelling the collection and dropping you to the ground.
There are however some cocoons way higher up in the trees, and SOME of the branches are thin enough for you to stand on while also reaching the cocoon below.
It's not enough to finish and you may need to check around endlessly trying to find the last few while getting down from dangerous heights after every but it can be done...

It would appear that when Blizzard nerfed 一撮妖精之尘 so that it cannot be used for mining/herbing anymore, they failed to take into consideration that this behaviour was expected for this World Quest.

managed to get WQ complete - killed a faerie & got - used that then picked up the flying buff & was able to complete the quest

For me wings don't even working and do nothing. I know i need to double jump! My god Blizzard, how failed is your company of late. Second world quest i take in this expansion and the second one that is broken.

Right after you touch the various "Basket of Enchanted Wings" around the area, double click your spacebar and you should be able to fly up!

Just double tap spacebar/jump to start floating and then you can go fly up and collect them.

THIS QUEST IS NOT BUGGED! Its all about touching the pod the right way. You cannot move through the pods, they are solid. Move towards the pod, until you are up against it and cant move forward (through the pod), it looks like your hugging the pod. Not click on it and open it and it will work.

some of the quests in this expansion are really Sh*T and this is one of of them ... who ever made them should be kicked out, they are buggy,unclear,irrational .... i mean wth

As of 28 Nov. this appears to have been fixed.

Collect Faerie Wings from a basket
Get out of travel form if a druid
Double-jump to activate

You have 2 minutes to collect click on cocoons and return to the ground for another pair. Getting in combat no longer drops the wings, but you do need to return to the ground to fight.

Edit: Complete the quests 醒醒，起来，快离开这 and 打破局面, if you are on them, to see the objects easily.

Die Kokons hängen unter den Plattformen.
Die Quest ist auch nicht mehr buggy, sodass man einfach die Kokons in der Luft looten kann, wenn man über die auf der Minimap markierten Schalen den Flügelbuff geholt hat.

If you must do this quest, double click the space bar to fly just like the anti-gravity thingies in Mechagon. They fixed the bug about losing the wings when clicking the cocoon and substituted rarity of the cocoons to keep you wasting your time. Don't do this quest. It will take at least 10 to 15 minutes of flying around looking for those last three cocoons. I hate those.

Hi all

First pick up 魔翅之篮 and now You can fly for 1 min. To Fly stand on something higher and jump up and then You can Fly. No pick up from tree 10 炽蓝蛾之茧.

In case you're like me: stupid, then make sure that you're up in the tree-tops and canopy clicking the cocoons there that have a purple outline and not the sparkling things highlighted for the quest at ground level or in those cloth cradles.

Use the baskets you find on the ground is the too long do not read.

Because Wowhead comments are famous for not explaining the basics.

(1) On your minimap there are golden indicators of "Basket of Enchanted Wings" - get one of them (right click) and now you can fly by double jump, you can fly up and down and steer in the air.

(2) You need to collect 10 cocoons by interacting with them (right click). These cocoons are brown and are hanging on the underside of tree branches and tree platforms. You will not see them unless you are flying and can fly and look under tree branches and platforms.

(3) Look at your buff - when it has about 30 seconds to go, fly quickly to another basket (1) as indicated on your minimap and loot it to continue to fly.

(4) If/when your flying buff runs out you gain a slow fall to the ground.

Fun fact:

When you are done with the quest, re-grab your wings and fly off to your next location. I was able to fly all the way to the covenant sanctum.

Just a heads up, make sure you land on something solid before accepting a dungeon or raid queue.

Repair bills are expensive, and you can't fix stupid. /Facepalm.

If you're like me and think the yellow dots on your minimap are there to show you where the cocoons are, then you're wrong.
The yellow dots are where the enchanted wings are, and while helpful not the information I was hoping for while trying to dodge the mobs.

The cocoons are hanging from the tree branches (high up) and below the platforms, good luck not going crazy doing this

I've done this before. Didn't seem to hard. This time there were so many enemy moths. Has it been changed? Trying to get the wings I had to fight off multiple moths every time, and saw another player die to at least 6 enemies. They also attack in the air so its hard to get to anything just trying to stay alive.
