For those not in the know the quest name is a reference to the album "Metropolis, Pt. 2: Scenes from a memory" a concept album by the progressive rock band Dream Theater. Which was a follow up to the song "Metropolis Pt. 1: The Miracle and The Sleeper" off the album "Images and Words"

This might not be entirely accurate but this quest really spoke to me and this is what I walked away with... Through My Words, so to speak. After Theryn was brought Home, Thalyssra granted us a glimpse of what might have caused his mind to go into Regression. What was shown was much like an Overture for whatever the poor creature had lived through, A Strange Deja Vu painting a quite disturbing image. Through Her Eyes we were allowed to witness The Dance Of Eternity, a premonition of what might await us Beyond This Life. The story of Theryn is probably best described as a Fatal Tragedy but as the champion of Azeroth we were willing to set out yet again, having an almost blind faith in the fact that no matter how dark the night gets, The Spirit Carries On.

Well if I had learned any thing from this quest, it is that withered have a massive case of A.D.D. seriously, how do you make so many memories pop up at once?

Theryn is one of the real heroes of this (and the guy that studied him). At the end there should be some statue to them both. There would have no chance of winning without them.

This looks like a reference to Assassin's Creed. Subject 16 has an important role in most of the games. Especially the ones with Desmond Miles. Also the quest later on: 'Scenes from a Memory', requires you to erase memories. Memories also do play a very great role in the Assassin's Creed games.

A tip for Hunters, Warlocks and anyone else who has a companion / pet / demon / minnion : DISMISS IT

In the 3rd and 4th (final) phases of this quest, you'll be clicking all over the place and your pet (or whatever) may get in the way.

I am blown away! After having been gone from WoW for the better part of ten years and finally coming back only to find that the Devs have alluded to one of my favorite bands/albums of all time, only reaffirms my choice to return to this great game. And in such a GREAT quest line as well.

A word of caution : Don't walk away in the middle of this quest. It won't complete and when you re-try it, it will probably fail and you'll have to abandon to re-do.
