More importantly, the dungeon needs to be random. I completed Auchindoun by manually selecting it, got none.

Then did one Random (Burial Grounds), got 4.

No you cannot get more on the same day by running a second random.

After you turn in 神秘的笔记本, this leads to a serious of quests. 集币成狂 is the first quest you get to start acquiring 德拉诺错币. These can be acquired by completing the first random heroic dungeon each day. They are used as currency to get the items to upgrade heirlooms. After you complete each quest, you will get the quest that follows it.

It is possible (however likely not probable) to get all 5 coins from your first run.

If you have more than 5 in your bag, put the extras in your bank so you can use it for 一枚不落

I can confirm its possible to get 5 coins from the random heroic dungeon.

1st toon that ran the dungon got 4 coins
2nd toon got 5 coins

First off, apologies for spamming across all pertinent quests.

Part of the quest series to reward Heirloom upgrade tokens from doing random Heroic Dungeons in Draenor (first one of the day, per character).

Start with 神秘的笔记本, turning it in to 克罗姆·粗臂 in Ironforge who will then give the quests (in order, listed for convenience):
集币成狂 which rewards 远古传家宝装甲涂层 after turning in 5 德拉诺错币.
一枚不落 which rewards 传世传家宝装甲涂层 after turning in 10 德拉诺错币.
古里古怪 which rewards 远古传家宝刃鞘 after turning in 25 德拉诺错币.
同中有异 which rewards 传世传家宝刃鞘 after turning in 50 德拉诺错币.

Some things to note:

You only get 德拉诺错币 from the first random Heroic Dungeon each day, and they seem to drop 1-5 (usually 2 or 3, though) coins.
Even if you have any of the collection quests completed but NOT turned in, you can still get coins in the Heroic Dungeon. That is, you queued and went in, THEN realized you haven't turned in one collection quest and received the next – not to worry, you will get coins!
This might not seem like a lot, but for people with multiple characters grinding away, you will notice your heirlooms "leveling up" fairly quickly.
In fact, you will continue to get coins even after the final quest – which is NOT repeatable. (source: http://us.battle.net/wow/en/forum/topic/16412041719?page=4#78)

Correct. They have no use once you've completed the final quest.

I just done My first RANDOM daily Dungeon and got 5 Coins immediately.

Ah...once again, those of us who PVE alone, just enjoying our time grinding away the stress from a hard day at work dealing with groups, must sacrifice and do the Group thing in our spare time as well....And I know that, somewhere out there, is a group of great, patient, understanding people, just waiting for me to join up ...I just haven't found them yet...and yes, little troll...I know that the game is a MMO/RPG...but what about those us that want to "role play" the lone wolf ... damaged from a child hood of torture at the hands of the Orc and go it alone? we have been capped.... at the knees... {/ heavy sigh}

You don't need to turn in the quest to start acquiring coins for the next one in the chain. You can run a random heroic daily to build up all 90 coins for the chain, then go to Ironforge and turn in all four quests in a row.

Haven't tested this yet but does it work for Legion aswell? Or maybe it will be updated in later patch? Because I can't queue up for draenor heroic anymore, I'm 102...

Legion update: I received this quest on a new character at level 110 and tested with a Random Legion Heroic Dungeon queue. On successful completion of the dungeon I received 德拉诺错币 x7. I was able to complete the quest with the coins at 克罗姆·粗臂, received 远古传家宝装甲涂层 as the reward, and started the follow-up quest 一枚不落.

In short: while the quest text still reads "... when completing your first Random Heroic Draenor dungeon each day", it appears to also work with Legion content.

I picked this up today at level 110. I can't see a way to do a random Draenor dungeon at this point - so I guess it's functionally impossible to complete on this character?

thanks for the info, I'm skipping this quest line. I'm a solo guy and not interested in doing group dungeons

Wish they'd change this to legion randoms or at least change it to a non-random being required.
To have quest that just cannot be done is kinda lazy on there part

The precursor quest Mystery Notebook is not available after you hit level 101. However this quest
"Nuismatics" can be obtained directly by visiting either Estelle Getty in Undercity (Horde) or Krom
Stoutarm in Ironforge (Alliance).

So, what about now that we're in Legion and at level 110 you can't queue for Random Draenor (or Legion) heroics?

Trying it on Random BeefAss Dungeon now, will update what happens ...

To anyone trying to go back and do this old quest. I just got a message back from the GM and he has stated that this quest will work for not only for random Draenor dungeons but for Legion and BFA as well.
He states:
Hi Candee,
This is Game Master Zatehuit here. They are still given after completing the first random daily Heroic dungeon of the day. Legion random heroic dungeon for characters level 110 and BFA random heroic for level 120. So you will need to do random heroic BFA dungeons.

BFA update: As a level 120 horde rogue on successful completion of the any Random Battle for Azeroth Heroic Dungeon i received 德拉诺错币 x6 .I was able to complete the quest at 艾斯特蕾·根德瑞, and received 远古传家宝装甲涂层 as the reward, and started the follow-up quest 一枚不落.

In short: while the quest text still reads "... when completing your first Random Heroic Draenor dungeon each day", it appears to also work with BfA content.
