Completed this today, 11-28-14. However, I was unable to complete it solo, the quest item would not show up, had to queue it up in the instance finder and a screw an entire dungeon group over.

You can only loot this on heroic. You will not see it in normal mode.

This is soloable for non-stealth classes if you use a 德拉诺隐形药水 or 隐形药水. Hit a speed boost if you have it, use the invis pot, and hug the left once you get into the second area. You can loot the quest item without aggroing the patrol.

This quest is available to both Alliance and Horde. Not sure why it says horde only here.

The invisibility potion ended too soon for me. What did work was mounting up and just speeding through straight for it and taking the death after looting it.

Can you turn in the quest even if you replaced your Inn?

Hi everyone,

I have completed the quest but when going to my Garrison to hand in I can see the question mark in the map but can't find the NPC anywhere.

Did any1 face the same problem?

Unless this quest is the lone exception, Inn quests now require you to kill the final boss to complete it (too many people were joining, looting their quest object, and dipping out). So I wouldn't count on soloing it any more.

and "Plundered Booty"
hint towards this being the compass Captain Jack Sparrow (from the Pirates of the Carribean series) carries around, that points to whatever one desires the most.

If you are unable to turn the dungeon quest in at your Garrison Inn, you may have missed the last boss for the dungeon. A display issue caused these quests to show as complete before the final dungeon boss was defeated. Follow the steps below to resolve the display issue on your client:

Open the Battle.net app and select World of Warcraft on the left-side of the app.
Click the Options dropdown menu and select Show in Explorer.
Double-click the World of Warcraft folder.
Delete the Cache folder.
Restart World of Warcraft.

The Lunarfall Inn and Frostwall Tavern quest NPCs may not all be present at the same time when handing in a large amount of quests. Leaving the garrison area and then returning will change which NPCs are there, and you should be able to hand in your quests.

I just left the dungeon after looting 奇怪的铜罗盘.

DON'T LEAVE! You will have to finish the dungeon in order to get this quest marked as completed.

I couldn't figure out why I had a ? on my mini map to turn in this quest but couldn't locate the NPC so I tried all the suggestions here. The last attempt I upgraded my Inn to level 2 and boom, quest giver appeared and so did a bunch of others. Hope this helps anyone else confused with this.

Turn in behind the Inn, outside.. The ? might not show up on your map.

Didn't get Skulloc slain credit in heroic even though got the achievement, so went and just solo'd last boss on normal.

You just need to get the compass in heroic. Then you can solo last boss on normal. Ret pally with 653i and average skill. Just go straight to last boss can skip most trash and all other bosses.

I'm in there now. On heroic. Killed last boss. Went to get compass. Not there! Killed the guy with the red flag! Still no compass.

If the NPC is not showing up in your Garrison in order to turn in the quest, go to your Architect Table and move/replace your Inn. I just switched my Inn and my Lumber Mill, then immediately switched them back; the NPC then appears.

The reason he wasn't there in the first place is because another questgiver standing in the same spot was already waiting for me to turn in a quest. After turning in that quest, then moving the Inn, this NPC appeared and I could turn in my quest.

Just fyi if you are doing this just for the heck of it (or to get the reward) during legion. The quest marker of the compass is, currently, not showing up.

As of 2017 still not working right. I solo'ed the instance, but it won't let me loot the compass. I can see it, but I can't grab to complete the quest. Trying to upgrade my garrison for ^&*!s and giggles and need this quest.

I just finished the instance 2-12-18 and found the brass compas NOT on the boss mob in the end but lying on the ground near the wall in the first section of the map right next to where the first mob is killed. So its not a mob loot but a ground loot. Cheers
