The best flight point to use is Akeeta's Hovel, which always looks like it's in Spires of Arak to me, but is on the coast of Shadowmoon Valley. Then, follow the path south.
This was the ugliest massacre of mobs I have seen since the opening of The Gates of Ahn'Qiraj.
Blizzard really need to fix a random solution for the daily Garrison Apexis quest. So not every player on the realm are on the same spot.
I like to hang around at the entrance, Most people rush in all the way to the back, but at the entrance, most of the time you're alone and are free to kill the mobs and kick the stones.
: Take the flightpath to Akeeta’s Hovel (
), which can be accessed via the bridge in north-east Spires of Arak. From there, take the road south-east and the road goes right into quest area.

When working on this quest, also get
as you will gain progress on both of the quests for the same amount of work.
I'm not saying this one is a fustercluck but be prepared for several things. The mobs are generally easy to kill, but while you're whacking away, many of them (but not all - no way to tell) will call their friends, so you start out fighting one and end up fighting many. The dog pets see through stealth but have no "See Through Stealth" indicator, so you find that out the hard way. The orcs occasionally throw up some kind of shield that multiplies their effective health by about 50%, so plan for longer fights than normal. But sometimes the shields don't work correctly, so at 40% health, your orc will suddenly die. Bad for him but unpredictable. There are Forbidden Tomes lying around but they don't count toward completion and sometimes don't give you any meaningful buff so don't waste your time. If you die, losing all your buffs, food & special augmentations, you will discover that the nearest GY is in Tahiti. Pretty beaches but no repair guys there, so plan to fight with reduced armor. What's good about this quest? It gives you a sense of perspective.
This is the last assault I need - It seems like never shows....
I had no problem with this quest. There was another player there and we grouped and were able to finish the quest fairly easy and quickly.
Oh boy, Blizzard. Thanks for yet another brilliant quest designed full of massively overpowered mobs, high respawns, things that see through stealth without warning, and a Shadowmoon quest that's located in Spires so you get the worst Call to Arms ability ever.
I'm sure this random goods vendor will do great work in helping me beat the thousands of mobs that surround me. >_<
If you're a class with good AoE and survivability (I'm a BM hunter with Barrage and ilvl 698) wait for one of the void portals to spawn and then just AoE all the little void demons that come through along with the mobs that fight them. You can complete the objective in a about two-three minutes. I'm doing this one five times (via missives) for the Apexis Event quest and it took me about 30 minutes all up including flying times.
How do you accept the quest to start? It is on the wowhead site home as my daily and it says auto start but when I am here and killing I don't get any progress notification?
An hour and a half...that's how much time off of my life I wasted trying to find this place that I will never get back. After finding it, I realized I was infuriatingly close several times. To save everyone else the time:
Fly into Akeeta's Hovel (if you don't have the point, the coords are approx 65, 17).
Follow the path right outside the flight point South until you reach the fork in the road.
At the fork, follow the RIGHT path until you reach your destination.
This quest is ridiculous, i have tried completing it four times now and cant get the progress bar to show, even after resetting ui and logging out several times to get it to work. After that failed I emptied my quest log to try and get the progress bar to show. After that I just said screw it and went in and killed 150 npcs in the area just to try and complete it. After spending a better part of an hour trying to get this done I about put my fist through my monitor. Great game, so glad that i decided to come back after not playing for two years.
Had a problem with this quest where the bonus objective would not appear when in the correct area.
I abandoned the Assault on Pillars of Fate quest. Hearthed back to my garrison. Moved all my addons out of the World of Warcraft\_retail_\Interface\AddOns and deleted the World of Warcraft\_retail_\Cache folder. The cache folder doesn't save your addon preferences so you can safely delete it with no impact.
Logged back in. Accepted the quest again. Went back to the correct area and the bonus objective appeared. Completed the quest then moved all my addons back.
Word of the assault has already made it back, as have some spoils from the fight.
Well done sir, if you don't mind me saying.
