This quest becomes available when you reach Honored with 皇帝少昊 and hand in the quest 驱退烈焰.

As the quest text states, you need to buy (at least) one 挑战卷轴 from 织雾者顾严, and then ride to the Three-Breeze Terrace and use the 挑战者之石 that is right in the middle of the terrace.

After 4-5 seconds (during which you are advised to get back out of the terrace), a lot of Ordos yaungol will appear all over the terrace. These will be the same as the yaungol in the Ordon Sanctuary, including:
不朽的掌炉者
炎缚咏者
熔火卫士
斡耳朵斯高阶祭司
and, of course
烈焰祭司阿克鲁斯

While a group is not strictly necessary, it is highly advised you bring help. A ranged class with high mobility can make short work of the npc's (particularly with all the islands buffs), but others might have a harder time, and each of these npc's has abilities that will take roughly anywhere from 50% to 150% of your health.

As for whether the NPC's despawn after a set time or not at all, unsure. They do not despawn after killing the Archiereus, but neither do they respawn if killed before the Archiereus.

There are a lot of elite adds, with a lot of health, and very damaging attacks. "A group is not strictly necessary"? "A ranged class with high mobility can make short work of the npcs"? Hmm. Check out the fight first-hand to see if you agree.

Fortunately this quest isn't like the Isle of Thunder summoned bosses where if you die you have to start over and expend more summoning currency. My small group was quickly killed, but all the mobs, including Archiereus, remained. After we ran back, a bunch of other toons came by and we eventually killed everything.

He dropped a 496 BoA and some timeless coins for me. A nice bonus, but the quest reward is the motivator here.

It might be best to treat this fight like Dread Ship Vazuvius. Someone on the quest can pony up the 500 coins to summon the boss, then broadcast over /General that a rare is up. It's worth taking the time to kill, even for people who aren't on the quest.

- The quest mob acts like a rare mob with tagging. As long as you hit it, you're golden. The same does not go for the rest of the mobs that spawn with him, which doesn't matter in regards to completing the quest.

- I shouted in /General, and we had like 40 people there within a minute on a Friday night. Made this a walk in the park. Also got a few laughs over all the people getting on-shot. ^^

- The quest mob does not seem to give the summoner any loot. May have been bugged, but that was the case for me 3 times in a row. Everyone else got to loot, and many got BoA's.

- No, you cannot complete the quest while in a raid group, as you may have already guessed.

Point of emphasis, this quest only works if you kill the summoned version of Archiereus of Flame at Three-Breeze Terrace. There is an Archiereus of Flame that randomly spawns like a normal rare at Ordon Sanctuary, and as I had just achieved Honored rep when he spawned in front of my group, I turned in my quest and came back and we killed him, but I did not get quest credit.

After struggling with this quest for a while, I found a very easy way to complete it.

Just gather a group of five people at most (the quest requires a simple group so a raid group won´t do) and summon Archiereus yourself with the scroll then simply kite the mob to the celestial court when there are a lot of other players around.

Since Archiereus is a rare mob most people will join the fight in and will burn the boss in no time!

To complete the quest you simply need to kill Archiereus not necessarily the adds themselves.

So, get a good tank, instruct him to taunt and kite Archiereus to the celestials court and let our fellow players do the dirty work! Kill Archiereus and you´ll be done.

It is as simple as that.

This is actually easily soloed so long as you are on a fairly well-populated server or are connected to servers that are. The Archiereus is a rare elite, which means that as long as you tag him, you will receive credit for the kill. So here's what I did: Bought 挑战卷轴, ran onto the Terrace, clicked the stone to summon him, died, rezzed, tagged, died...etc. Thanks to the icon on the minimap, any players who are in the area will see that a rare has spawned and will jump at the chance for epic gear or a 不朽之责. So even though I was dead for the majority of the time, everyone else killed him in the meantime, and I still received credit for the kill. Additionally, as others have noted, the other mobs do not matter for the quest. As long as you tag the Achiereus, you're good.

Just to note, you do not need to actually summon Archiereus, you could just hit the one summoned by someone else and you will get the quest credit.

Although it's kinda pointless to do alone, with a party of 5 it might be a viable option to re-summon him numerous times. He requires 500 coins to summon, and gives about 400+ to everyone who tagged him, and dont forget - mobs that come with him could be farmed for reputation and additional coins.

I just did this quest.
I have farmed rep for some time, so I got alot of Coins, so I went and bought keys.
I got 2 burden there, so I got very happy!
When I went and killed Archierus, I got another Burden.
Now I got 3.
Then I turned in the quest, and I got 4 now!
4 Burden on 10 minutes!

This type of quest is really turning me off WoW. Even with the realm merges, there are still low-population realms, and getting groups together to do stuff like this can only be managed at particular times of the week, Weds evening for eg and even that isn't guaranteed. The rest of the week, you are s**t out of luck. The same think applied with the legendary questline 朝令夕改. After the first week of the patch, it was impossible to get a group to do this.

The quest lines are for everyone, but especially for those people who are not raiding in a large guild. So why put quests in where you have to be in a party to complete? And then when people find a way to complete them anyway, you prioritise hotfixing that rather than the endless raft of bugs that require more attention.
This is how to drive players off to GTAV.

With Timeless Isle being so popular right now, simply summon him using 挑战卷轴 and quickly announce in general chat. You'll have a group quickly as people swarm to take down a rare.

'Solo-schmolo'. This quest needs a group of at least 5 to complete. First you have to have the time to run the summoning cast before being wiped by the mobs (not so easy, try picking a time when terrace is not so busy). You must tag AoF asap after spawning & then work with the group to take him down. The adds do not count towards the quest, only the main dude. There's a lot of running about involved in this quest, as long as you avoid the mobs attacks you can take them out without dying, but melee is very tough. Once tagged run like hell to drag into your waiting buddies, then kite like a kid on a windy day. Guarantee of Burden of Eternity dropping for you if you summoned the AoF & tagged him first.

This task is possible to be alone for Destruction Warlock,
I did it with my WL instant 90.

First I cleaned the whole area and finished the boss.

Redid the strategy and posted a video of how to do.

Note: I play WL less than three weeks, had never played before.

I tried to solo this fight on a level 100-something arms warrior and got my ass handed to me. Then i went & leveled up to 107 in Legion, improved my gear, respecced to Prot, tried again, got my ass handed to me just as hard. Maybe my all-purple-geared 110 Prot Pally could handle this fight, but for toons that aren't the most powerful this quest STILL most likely will require a group, even in 2018.

In case you are wondering why you can't seem to find a stone, it has a somewhat long respawn timer (I'd guess between 10-15 minutes).

As of 8.0.1 you only receive 50 rep for killing him rather than the 250 rep posted elsewhere. You also have all of the adds but mostly they are taken out by others.

If someone recently used the Challenger's Stone for this quest it will not be there for a few minutes until it re-spawns.
