Going to Dalaran on your own won't work. This is an instanced version, not the real Dalaran in Northrend, and you need to take the portal from Teldrassil.

After you turn in this quest, Jaina goes badass. She starts walking around Dalaran flanked by two elementals, teleporting blood elves to the Violet Hold or attacking any who resist. During this part she has unique voice quotes when you click on her which she doesn't usually have, such as "For the Alliance!" or "You Sunreavers brought this on yourselves!"

Don't be smart and think you can enter an instanced Crystalsong Forest through the Sewers. All that lies below this Dalaran is water, and you'll die trying to jump for it. :)

I am having a good deal of trouble of getting the portal to work.

I have abandoned the quest.

i have logged out.

I have abandoned and logged out.

I want to complete this .

I had exact same problem. I have submitted a ticket for the bug. I have completd this quest line in its entirety with other toons with no problems. Will advise.

Transfer Aborted: Instance Not Found.

Waiting on rolling restarts to see if that fixes the issue if not I will be opening a ticket.

it is about 2 hours after the Tuesday Maintenance/restart. I have disabled all of my add-ons. I have relogged multiple times, but I still receive the "Transfer Aborted: instance not found" message.

There are other people from different realms standing by the portal with the same message.

I am having the same problem on Sisters of Elune. Portal is there but won't let me take it because the "instance is not found". I've done all the suggestions above but nothing yet. How long will it take the GM to answer? Should we start a pool.

Blizz answered right away with no help. Here is there answer:

Thank you for letting us know about an issue with entering Dalaran while on the Jaina's Resolution quest. I know it is frustrating when you cannot complete quests, especially ones as important as this one.

The issue with the transfer aborted error message is being looked into at this time, it just may take time for a full resolution. I am afraid that at this time there is not a way for the Game Master department to move your character into Dalaran so the quest can be completed.

For now, you may want to visit the forums at http://battle.net/wow/forum/ for updates or more information, as it comes in.

Thanks again for letting us know about this, I apologize for any inconvenience that this issue may have caused.

If I abandoned the quest due to a glitch, how do I pick it up again? It's no where in Lion's Landing or Darnassus and when I take the portal from Lion's Landing to Dalaran I see Jaina and her elemtals clean house but still no quest to pick up. I want to finish my Operation:Shieldwall campaign but I need this quest again. Please help!

Problem:

Currently the normal Dalaran and the phased event zone of it overlap which causes some problems. In a previous version with another Alliance toon everything worked fine.

What does that overlapping cause to you ?
-you don't see any other players
-you see all the NPCs of the normal and event zoned Dalaran
-you can't fly in Dalaran (not even Krasus' Landing)
-Guards at the entrance of the Horde area will teleport you to the normal version of Dalaran once you try to enter Horde area

To re-enter the phased version of Dalaran:
-go to Lion's Landing and talk to the portal Mage (Dwarf in black clothes)
-no, there is no other way

Can you still complete all the quests to progress in this faction's story ?
Yes but for Horde territory you'll literally have to camp the 2 spawns of NPCs that you can catch without alarming the guards. Makes it 1h+ for a single quest.

What did I try to get rid of the bug which didn't help ?
-Logout + Login with quests for the event in my questlog
-Quest abort, zone change, Re-entering Dalaran by the help of the portal Mage at Lion's Landing
-used the teleport crystal which teleports you to the ground below Dalaran @Crystal Song Forest -> you lose the phased event zone; Go back to Lion's Landing...

Any way to fix this ?
None I know of so far. You basically can't leave Dalaran unless you kill yourself by jumping off the sewer pipe.
Violet Hold can't be entered while you're in the phased event zone.

When Player uses portal at gates of Darnassus it just doesn't count towards the quest.

I opened a ticked with step-by-step description what's wrong. In few days GM debugged a quest for a stuck character and it counted so I could turn it to the questgiver in "special" Dalaran filled with Sunreavers. Proceeded to further quests without any trouble.

Just take it, see you can't so a thing, DO NOT abandon and write a ticket.
If abandoned and cannot find a questgiver on Lion's Landing - go to Darnassus gates and find Jaina near the portal. She's waiting to take her revenge with quest patiently.

So... If you are stuck just like me and nothing helps (e.g relog/abandon-taking/doing anything that probably could help/performing shaman-dance) - just write a ticket. This issue is well-known from 5.1 patch (comment section here is a proof) and they will just fix it for you.
