Take note that you will not be entering an instanced version of Darnassus during this quest - you WILL see other Alliance players who happen to be in the city, and you WILL be flagged for PvP as soon as you enter. I dunno if the stealth buff cast on you makes you completely invisible to players, but I avoided them as well, to be safe (saw a couple 90s as I was working my way through to the bell).

All that said, this quest really had me on edge!

This quest is somewhat similar to the Rogue legendary chain in 4.3. You're stealthing and have a red circle around you. If any guards are in the red circle you get caught.

That said, this is a bit different. As non-Rogues can do it as well, we do not have the benefit of Rogue tools like Sap and Distract. Also, you are PVP flagged during this and there is the very real possibility of a player finding you.

If you're a rogue, what you'll want to do is activate your own Stealth, then leave the illusion barrier, in that order, to ensure that you have the correct buff for the quest *and* access to your roguely abilities.

Compared to what you needed to do to get your Legendary daggers, this one's a breeze. (Provided you're not on a high-pop server that has a penchant for Alliance players sitting around flagged in Darnassus.)

Okay, I actually made an account to get your answers. It aint in the water, as I did jumping around like a maniac trying to find it. It's in the tree close by (to the left if ur standing in the water). Enter the tree and follow the path. There u go!

Word of advice for pet classes: dismiss your pet, as they will not receive the stealth buff (at least warlock demons do not).

This is fun .. stealth in, wipe out some trainers, quest-givers, etc. then pop out and repeat!

If any guards are in the red circle you get caught.

Guards don't see you just because they get into the red circle. You can slip between the guards at the first entrance for example. They may turn to face you but they don't aggro.

If the guards aggro, you dont >need< to port back to the questgiver. I was able to run away from the guards that aggroed, and eventually they ran back to their positions. I could then complete the quest without issues!

You are really in Darnassus. This isn't some alternate, phased version; you're really there -- and flagged.

Dismiss your minion or pet, if you have one, as they won't be included in your stealth protection.

Enter the small doorway into the tree at 38.2 33.3. Follow the path down and click the bell, which is a large cylinder-esque structure with the Mogu design. Use your safety charm back.

This is a nice free port to Darnassus if you haven't finished 枪神 and 想唱就唱.

I swam through the water to easily avoid almost all of the guards. The entrance in the Cenarion Enclave is at 38.2 33.3. It's literally inside the tree, so make your way to the entrance.
You will not encounter any mobs until you're all the way to the end of your path, and that's only one guard, easily handled if you accidentally stumble into him. If you want to avoid him, he does path away so you can jump down to the right and hit the bell.

Then, just hit your extra action button (safety charm) and you're home free. Although I took the port back, I did not turn in the quest so that I could keep the portal up and abuse it for some quick achievement progress.

Really enjoying the Dominance Offensive quest line hope you guys are too :)

the description for this quest could use a little work, you dont "find" the cenarion enclave. The way to the bell is in this TINY door in one of the trees. Follow the road that leads into the enclave and you should see a small cave-like entrence in bottom of one of the big trees.

The Cenarion Enclave is at 39,33 in Darnassus. It's the unguarded tree with the small entrance - don't run around the trees like I did for 5 minutes for no reason.

Once inside, there is one patrol. Simply wait for the patrol to be walking up to the beginning of the room, and jump down behind them as they're walking upward.

Use the Bell, then cast your teleport charm.

Casting ANY spell will take you out of stealth. As a priest, it took me several tries to figure out that casting PW:S for the Body and Soul speed boost or using my Angelic Feathers was what was causing me to be caught by the guards.

You just have to walk the old fashioned way.

Totally easy. Didn't even really need the stealth buff he gave. Just used my own and made it easy by sapping guards when needed.....or just for fun LOL I love being a rogue!

I had problems finding the bell, but it was easy as soon as i found the entrance at 38.4 33.3 to go underground where the bell is :) gl!

I'm having trouble with this.
I've found the bell, and I click on it. Then after I click on it, I use the charm and teleport out.
But it doesn't say I've found the bell or anything.

I did find that you could get pretty close (even a bit within the red circle) of some guards and while they might turn to face you, they wouldn't aggro. I do want to warn everyone though that there is an elite mob named Huntress Ravenoak that patrols the area, and she can in fact see through your stealth from quite a ways outside the red circle. Stay outside normal aggro range of her!

Druid shapeshifting WILL break stealth.
However, you CAN shift BEFORE you tell the giver you are ready, so you can be a very sneaky deer if you want to move faster. You will be forced out of deer when you enter indoors, but it will not break it.

This quest does nothing but enable Horde players to exploit the Sunreaver Portal Charm and abuse the quest. Another example of Blizz overlooking something that blatantly gives Horde players hack status and doesn't bother to address it.

The Bell is in an underground cave in the west of the Cenarion Enclave, roughly to the south of the letter "i" in "Cenarion Enclave" at the end of the road leading west. The safest route probably is:

To the northern stairs of the gate — they aren't guarded, unlike the southern stairs and the central road going through the gate.
Up the stairs, then jumping off the middle of the gate onto the main road. Watch out for the mounted patroller and Ancient Protectors!
Immediately north, past the Ancient Protector at the entrance to Craftsmen's Terrace, then hugging the edge of the hills at the northern border of the Terrace. There is an NPC-free path behind the buildings that can be traversed by jumping over tree roots. This will lead you to the east of the Howling Oak.
Southwest behind the Howling Oak, around the lake without actually approaching the tree.
Through the Cenarion Enclave, steering clear of Darnassian Protectors (and Sentinel patrollers if they happen to be passing through).

If you are on this quest, don't jump into an LFR/Dungeon/Scenario part way through. When you get put back into the world, your stealth is gone and so is the quest giver... /facepalm

If, after completing this or one of the following Dominance Offensive quests, you find that ALL of the NPCs have disappeared from the world, you probably are stuck in a phase.

It is apparently a known issue after patch 5.4, and is a result of a "hidden buff" accidentally being left on your character after completing quests in the DO line.

Unfortunately, there is nothing you as a player can do to get out of this phase, and you must submit a ticket to have a GM remove the "hidden buff" for you. Be sure to file the ticket under "Character Stuck" and include the words "stuck in a phase" in the ticket; that will get you pushed higher in priority when GMs are answering tickets.

I had to wait a full day for my ticket to be answered, but they were able to remove the buff just fine and my character is back in the real world!

Be careful to avoid players. Got spotted and taken down by two 90s and the run back was 5 minutes as the graveyard you spawn at is close to Dolanaar.

These quests can have some interesting phases issues. Rather than go after the bell, I hearthed back to Pandaria and found almost all NPCs were gone. The NPCs at Domination Point and other places that are phased areas (like Halfhill market) were present, Just about every rare was up, and gathering nodes were EVERYWHERE. Would be useful for a rare/mat farming alt until WoD comes out.

I just did this, and it was really hard, the guards aggro from a mile away and the stealth is basically useless.

After a few shots, i got it, and then just "deathran" to my corpse, res and run a bit further.

Soulstone, Dark Bargain and Shadowfury helped a lot, but other classes might have something that can help them in another way (speed!)

I started going up to the right of the gate (keep an eye on the patrol on the gate) and then jumped down to the "middle street", watch out for a patrol here also.

go near the training dummies (but keep distance) and get defensive buffs ready, i made a vw and used SS. Now run through the guards standing in the ledge thing and jump into the water, die and run back to corpse, swim to the correct shore near the quest location.

run the right way around the building and you should be able to get down there, i could not fear the treants, and they slow, so be careful.

It's possible to fly through most of this. After accepting the quest and going to Darnassus, hearth back to where ever your stone is (mine was to the Shrine.) Then take the portal to Mt Hyjal from your home city (Org for me) and FLY to Darnassus (fly into the pink portal at that port town then immediately fly UP so you don't get attacked.) You can pretty much fly into the door (watch out for the occasional mounted gaurd!) and run in. Only thing you have to do is watch for the one gaurd in there. She walks a long route so if you hide in the alcove til she walks by you can then run and click the bell. Getting out? Just let her kill you and at the graveyard, take the res sickness then fly back to hand in the quest. Easy peasy.

It's possible to fly through most of this.

I just wanted to pop in and confirm that you can do this entirely and not encounter any problems. I noticed a skeleton before me, but I personally didn't aggro any guards. I'd highly suggest doing this.

If you're concerned about getting caught flying straight into the city, you can pick up a Cracked Talisman from Jade Forest to ensure that you've got some extra time. I did, but then I realized that I wasted 3 minutes getting that because flying into a city is easier than "sneaking" into it. Go figure.

And I was really ready to yolo, too :(

As of 6.0.2 (Pre-WoD) this quest is BROKEN and BUGGED!

It is impossible to do while stealthed.
Best way to do it...
1. Stealth up to the right of the gate (dirt path), wait for the Nelf on a Panther to face the other way and walk up the stairs and jump off when there's enough room.
2. Walk on the path and head toward the right, go under the farthest pillar, you will see 2 guards. Break stealth, if you have a minion/pet set them on it and essentially run along the edge of the river until you reach the enclave.
3. Head downstairs and grab the bell, most of the guards will be off you by now. You don't need to be in the stealth when you grab the bell.

This Quest is BUGGED! Be sure to report it.

As of 6.0, it seems as if this quest could not be completed because all guards have been upgraded to level 105, which will automatically destroy you when you are stealth within 10 yards of any NPC. fml

Ok. I tried like 3 times before I jumped into WoWHead to see other ways to get this quest done. The NPC's are 100+ like the other posters have said but then I saw Pinkiepieisfly's comment about flying in.

I have been playing this game since BC and I didn't even consider it.

So I teleported to Thunder Bluff then flew to Darkshore and crossed over.

Once inside I met little resistance as the red portal into the city is near the Enclave. I went to the door and went down the ramp. Clicked the bell at the bottom and had one guard patrolling down there. I hit Invisibility the guard went back and I Hearthed back to Domination Point and took the portal back to the questgiver for turn in. Got the next quest Victorious Return and returned via portal back to Nazgrim. Done for another day.

Easy as Pie.

Quest is still bugged, died twice before coming here to figure it out. I ended up flying to Darnassus from Mount Hyjal, flew around the city to the side with the enclave, and pretty much dropped right into the doorway leading down. The bell is underground so you'll have to sort of look at the area from above to figure out which building leads to a tunnel. Didn't die at all, just wait for the sentinel in the tunnel to move to the left, bell is to the right when the tunnel opens up.

This is totally doable at lvl 100 going north from the lake up to the cave entry in the Cenarion Enclave. The red circle cannot be trusted, the treant guards can sense you way farther but the cave is not guarded outside and inside there is only one guard which you have to wait for it to patrol away from the bell.

ok I give up, apparently I dont know what a door in a tree looks like. I cannot find it for the life of me, I am so irritated and frustrated at running around pink trees!
I have been doing the Dominance Offensive quests every day,since there arent many and it takes forever to get exalted. Then I read that there are too many guards in 6.0.2 so why bother?
I am going to submit a ticket, but in the meantime I want to see the door! It is not at the exact location of 39.8, 33.3.
Anyone feel like posting a picture of the door, exact coords at its entrance, a video, I dont know... I will find and enter this door, even if the quest is bugged!

OK, had a major issue with being spotted by the guards at Darnassus entrance, being a 90.

First time I tried right up the middle. I aggroed one of the two Sentinels there and ran for it, eventually being downed far enough inside from the entrance, that after releasing, running and rezzing from Dolanaar I was (somewhat) safe. Stealth buff gone, I opted to do the corpse crawl. Died next in the middle of Craftsmen Terrace, released, ran, rezzed and ran towards southern edge of Cenarion Enclave. This time when I ran back, I thought I may be close enough to my body to rez inside/underneath the tree, so I went down the spiral ramp past a few trainers and sure enough, got an option to rez pretty close to the bell. Came back to life, took a few steps, clicked on the bell, and teleported the heck outta there. Got back to Fanlyr Silverthorn and realized I didn't receive credit for finding Cenarion Enclave (one of the two quest requirements).

Groaned, got stealthed again and headed back to Darnassus entrance. Went to the gap north of the main gate building and saw there was no immediate Sentinel. Walked up stairs and spotted one, so I went through the building and jumped down. This time I tried to walk the whole circumference east of Craftsmen Terrace and found there was enough space to walk between buildings and the hills that make up the "walls" between the city and Teldrassil except for one place where I just timed a mounted Sentinel and scooted behind the last building and emerged right around the Howling Oak. Walked straight south and got to the water and swam until I was slightly west of Cenarion Enclave. Came out of the water and stayed clear of the few tree Sentinels there and rounded southern side of the big tree to the entrance people had given the co-ords to before (39,33). As soon as I crossed the threshold, that part went from 0/1 to 1/1. Walked a little further in and teleported away.

So basically, ya, it's doable at the time of this writing, it's just going to take some patience.

Can confirm that this quest is still bugged, however you can skip the subtlety of the quest and just run (fly, I recommend flying) over there and grabbing the bell. Murder anything that moves and bounce.

This is a very expensive horde quest. There is really no easy solution other than corpse crawl, though others have suggested flying in and corpse crawling from there. After my 30min+ corpse crawl, I finally finished the quest and turned it in, but now it is like I am still phased. That is, anywhere I go, there are no NPCs or other players. I cannot use flight paths, portals, auction houses or anything. I am the sole survivor after the rapture. Opened a ticket with Bliz and waiting for feedback.

The stealth issue seems fixed now, as long as you have the buff you can walk freely through Darnassus without getting spotted. Don't engage anything, not even level 1 wisps or you will lose the buff.

If you can't see any NPCs after completing that quest anywhere in the world, then the phasing from the quest remained active on your character, which is a bug.

You can clear it and reset your character by queuing for arena/battleground, wich removes any buffs/debuffs/phasing or you can ask a gm to fix it.

Stuck getting ported to Darkshore because Darnassus cannot be reached in BFA?

To finish this quest in BFA you need to talk to Zidormi 48.8, 24.4 in Darkshore.
She can phase the 'old' Darnassus back in place so you can finish this quest.
(same as what happens in Silithus now)

After that you can take the portal from Dominance point or just fly over the sea.

When you're finished talk to her again to put the current (BFA) Darnassus back.
