This appears to be the new 竞技场高手. The reward trinket is comparable and so is the quest requirement. As with the Gurubashi Arena event it is likely this one will have a similar timed trigger as well as associated achievements ( 竞技场高手饰物古拉巴什竞技场大师). Considering the sometimes fierce combat over the Gurubashi Arena chest and trinkets ( 竞技场高手饰物竞技场大师饰物 ) it will be interesting to see how this one plays out...

The 月神之光 DOES NOT work for looting the chest in the Darkmoon Faire's arena. You CAN NOT loot the chest while under the effects, and you get a similar message to "You cannot loot that right now". It was worth a shot though. I sacrificed mine so that you could keep yours for whatever epic moment it aids you. ;) Confirmed as of 12/10/2011.

This quest can be taken and turned in regardless of your character level. You of course cannot equip the trinket until level 85.

Easiest way is doing it is at 3;00 did it with my try WoW ac :)

Can anyone confirm whether upon turning in the quest for the first time, you lose the trinket, or do you keep it?

The trinket is still useful to me and I don't want to turn it in for a tiny amount of XP if I'm going to lose it.

Got this as a 100 Warrior, still level 85 trinket. Haven't turn in quest yet. Or accepted it.

Was hoping they would have updated it to level 100!

These are similar to the old area trinkets you got in STV. You would turn in a large handful of those to get the better trinket. Was tough on most servers.

A small tip: You will have to equip the item before you can actually pick up the quest. There's no way around that so don't drive yourself bonkers trying.

Also after you've completed the quest you have to equip it via your character sheet. Right-clicking from your bags will return the message "You have completed that quest."
