Go to the east part of the city. Don't actually enter Undercity (via the elevators) but just fly over the city to the east part. There you will have to fight 1 NPC with like 10k health.

There is some purple lightning and Dead Undercity Citizen lying around there so it's pretty hard to miss.

When you approach the scene:

Sanath Lim-yo is channeling some shadowy lightning into the dead Maxim the Sly.

Sanath Lim-yo says: Archmage Xylem does not bargain with the likes of you, ruffian. There shall be no payment!

Sanath Lim-yo says: What's this, an intruder? Let's see what the artifacts inside this box can do, shall we?

Sanath Lim-yo says: This isn't supposed to happen!

I arrived when another player was already completing the quest, if this happens to you. Simply walk back the way you came under the arch, and then return to Sanath to begin the scene. I just waited around for a bit and nothing happened. Walking back corrected this.

To find this - face the burning man and you'll see a set of steps that lead up like the ones that lead to the portal for Silvermoon.

Head up the steps until you come to a crossroad - you'll see spiders heading down the path to the right - follow that and you'll find your quest NPC.

Follow the trail of spiders and they lead right to the crate and the NPC you need to kill.

Once in the main UC courtyard, instead of going like you would to the Orb of Translocation to Silvermoon, go to the opposite side of the courtyard to find the npc, Sanath Lim-yo. Follow the purple spiders.

Word to the wise. Dont try and do this quest 15 times while in a raid group. 15mins of my life wasted.

This is the only part of this quest line where you will be required to fight anything. Sanath Lim-yo will summon a voidwalker. It was level 19 to me when I did it on a level 20 toon. It scales in level and HP based on your own toon's level, but it's an easy kill at any rate.

But if you play a class with a pet (warlock, mage, hunter, etc.) you might want to make sure you have it out before Sanath Lim-yo summons the voidwalker.

If a lot of people are doing this at the same time and you find yourself not making any progress:
Make sure to hit/tag the Unleashed Void npcs first!
They are the ones that spawn after the crate is opened by Sanath Lim-yo.

Just a note for hunters on this quest. Make sure to set your pet passive. My turtle kept one shotting them before i could attack and the quest wouldn't complete.

Strangely buggy for me today. First time, ran all the way down, clicked on the box, no text in the box that popped up, waited around while Sanath Lim-yo just stood there. Ran away up the stairs, ran back down, watched him disappear. Third time after running away and back again it finally worked as normal with the Unleashed Void showing up.

Ok. I feel like I might be losing my mind. I don't see any spiders anywhere. I've gone back to the Zepplin and still no spiders. I've gone around this courtyard 100 times it feels like and still haven't found Sanath. Please help :(

If you're doing this on the Alliance side, As of Halloween 2020 you need to go into the basement of the Cathedral of Light in Stormwind to do this quest - the map indicator will have you running around a group of gothy Void Elves - that's the wrong place; instead go to the Cathedral of Light and look for a tunnel down in the corner to the right of the Altar.

Once you're inside just follow the spiders.
