For this part of the chain, simply go to the Dwarven District and enter the building where the quest shows on the map. Simply walk in and wait for the NPC with the White "?" over his head to start and finish a conversation with the seller and the quest will be completed.

Go the the point marked on your map.
Note that The Shady Lady is not an NPC, it is actually the name of the bar - easiest entrance is alongside the canals in the dwarven district.
Inside you will find Hudson Barnes (with the white question mark above his head).
Wait for him to finish a small dialogue, then you can complete the quest.

Note: If you are attempting to do this quest after Hallow's end, you will be unable to complete it. The NPC Hudson Barnes disappears once the event is over.

For anyone who was an idiot, such as I... after doing four laps around the Dwarven . The shady lady is actually along the canals on the Dwarven district side.

When I got to the "Shady Lady", another player was doing the quest and the NPCs were busy talking to each other. I waited patiently for them to finish, so I could do the quest, but, when they finished, I got the credit for finishing the quest, so turned it in to him while he was there!

Has anyone tried to do this since Hallows End ended? I could do up to "Shopping around" from scratch, but there's no quest ender in The Shady Lady.

I didn't see the trail of spiders going there either, I suspect that it's been neglected to be removed.
Here I was hoping they'd left it in like the balloon quest.

Confirmed that once you reach this part of the quest chain, you cannot continue any further. It has yet to be removed from the game entirely.

When I wrote this, the quest was bugged. Even though the Hallow's End event is over, the questgiver is still offering the quest. You can't complete it however. When you get to the appropriate NPC's, nothing happens. Wrote a ticket.

February now... questgiver is still handing this quest out. Still can't complete it of course.

Anyone who has been seeing this quest for a year (or more) but never being able to complete it due to being bugged, you can now. At least for the Alliance - I have no alts on the Horde side with this issue to confirm.

As of the start of Hallow's End 2012, just go to the bar as instructed, wait for the dialogue to finish, and it will give you the credit. Thankfully, it just worked for me.

I never got around to finishing this on my alliance character. So "Auctioneer Fitch" is going to have an exclamation mark over his head for a year now. Poor guy.
