One of the only quests in the game that I know of that lets you ride this rocket.

Also note if you abandon the quest after the ride (instead of turning it in) you can go back
and ride the rocket whenever you want (granted abandon the quest after each ride instead
of turning it in).

Seems like in 4.1 this quest replaced They Call Him Swift#$%er. He Kills Harpies.

its all fair and well, but something has been bugging me for ages upon ages. There is a piece of music that plays when riding the rocket from nozzlepot's to the crash. Ive looked everywhere for that certain piece of music, as i have not heard it anywhere else in WoW. Does anyone know what the piece of music is called, its really dramatic music if you dont know what im on about.
if anyone knows what its called, please post it here so i can try find it.

After completing the entire Samophlange quest-line this quest still wasn't available.
Only after completing the quest-line: 寻找巴隆·朗绍尔 (including the boat ride), 矿工的宝贝 and 竞争再竞争 the rocket-ride became available.
Please note that one or two of the last quests might not actually be required to unlock it.
It's worth the axe-model for transmogrification though :P.

You have to complete 矿工的宝贝 and 竞争再竞争 before this quest will become available.

5.3 has this quest bugged. After you detour from the Crossroads and go towards Deathgate's Outpost to the west, you'll have to cross over the Kor'kron cap between the two areas. Unfortunately, it seems that the Kor'kron Outriders in the camp don't take kindly to the Steamwheedle and shoot you dead if they catch sight of you. I've been unable to finish the Rocket Ride because of it.

It took me three attempts as a Goblin to do this quest. The first two times I got shot down. The third time I made sure I was at 100% durability for my armour and it worked well. If you are having troubles, just keep trying the quest does work eventually.

I got this quest to work by lagging my game. I was shot down the first time, but when I took the rocket again, I alt-tabbed out for a little bit. Seemed to work.

If you're a hunter or have a pet, it will try to follow the rocket for a while before you get too far ahead of it, instead of despawning automatically as with a flight master. So for a while, you can watch your pet running on the ground behind you.
