It technically is north by north west.....if you were stood in the middle of the region.

It would have been more logical to give the discription from where you got the quest and so then your more than correct it should be North West-West (West by North West).

When you go to Fordragon Hold, make sure to pick up the FP from Wyrmcrest Temple at the center of Dragonblight

Makes your next quest go much smoother as you can fly from Fordragon Hold to Wyrmcrest Temple!

Just as an FYI, Questhelper says to go to Stormwind for this quest, but that's not where you're supposed to go. The coordinates for Bolvar in Fordragon Hold are 38, 23 in Dragonblight, not in Stormwind.

im not sure exactly what he said and sadly I did not take a screenshot. but i got a message along the lines of " I never forgot what you did for me back in stormwind!" I can only assume this is related to ony key?

It's in the extreme north-west part of Dragonblight. Up by Icecrown. watch out for the elites and the ? undead in the area. they like to kill you if you get too close. :)

Quest Helper thinks that the turn-in point is near Wintergarde Keep, this is patently false, see the map linked above for the REAL entrance to Fordragon Hold.

If you have the flight path for Stars Rest, go there and then up to Fordragon Hold. Much closer, and easier, since there is a path and no mobs to worry about. I got there in no time!

My QuestHelper thinks I need to go see King Varian Wrynn in Stormwind Keep to turn in this quest... has this happened to anybody else? To clarify, it says "Talk to Highlord Bolvar Fordragon" but it put the target icon in Stormwind.

no one gives you a ride, you have to travel there just like the quest says:
"Take the north gate out of town and travel north by northwest until you arrive at your destination."

WARNING: My QuestHelper pointed me SouthEast. It's NorthWest! When you get to the fort, he's at the very very top of the highest hill.
