While I can certainly admire the creativity that went into the design of this puzzle, there is definitely an issue:
Anyone that may be limited/disabled/*, will likely NOT be able to complete this.
(*insert your choice of description (not intending to offend anyone with a label))
In my case, a recent cat related injury made coordinating my hand/mouse quite difficult.
2 hours of determination plus dumb luck and I got it, but my physical situation is extremely temporary by comparison.
If the dev team covered all their bases on the design, then I'm just another random comment.
As a DH, Infernal Strike works up to the 2nd small orb on the wall path.
Max level Dimensional Translators(Cypher Equipment) were useless (fell straight through the floor).
Possible that Door of Shadows (Venthyr covenant) operates in a way that helps, was not able to test.

I tried for about 15 to 30minutes and gave up, I have a bit more speed than normal so it made my jumps very inconsistent. Door of Shadows doesn't work, the cast starts like normal but then cancels. I am glad that there is no special reward or anything as I really cant be bothered doing this, maybe if it didn't have the stupid gold orbs that push you off it might be a bit better

This is impossible if you play a class with any passive speed boost. Jumps are too inconsistent; the same exact keyboard input will land you on one orb and jump you right over the next.

The alcoves are some of the most frustrating elements in the latest patch. I can't complete the Dormant one because of the double click bug (the world boss makes the room lag, so don't click again if the pile of sand doesn't open), and now this room. If only the hitboxes worked properly, but no, the golden orbs with knock you down, even though you're clearly not being touched by them. If I wanted to do some "fun" parkour in a game, then I'd go play Roblox with my kids.

Congratulations Blizzard, first time rage quitting a game in years.
Oh we've given you a piece of equipment that allows you to jump to the top of things, (Dimensional Cryptic Grips), No that doesn't work in here,
Oh we've given you a covenant skill that allows you to jump onto things, (Venthyr Door of Shadows), No that doesn't work in here,
Oh we've given you a class skill that allows you to jump onto things, (Demonic Gate). No that doens't work in here.
Almost made it to the top, Nope, the 'Erratic Orbs' (suddenly seem to become heat seeking) will be travelling the opposite way to where you weant to go, meaning straight back to the floor again. (despite being nowhere actually near you) due to boxing issues.
Lag from Antros doesn't help when you move and jump and it either does one or the other putting you, you guessed it, back on the floor in the path of an 'Erratic Orb'
Another five minutes of trying to do the thing and it would have been £90 keyboard in bits on the far side of the room followed by the mouse.
TLDR:
Please let the abilities you have given players work in the room! For whats in the box it's not worth anyones time to get them without shortcuts.

I am speechless at this design, this is really the bottom of the barrel here. Bad enough that we have to jump on these insanely buggy hitbox jank circles at weird angles and distances, we can't use any sort of teleport items (despite being given items to do just that in this very patch!) But no, Blizzard had to implement these < Screw You > orbs that exist to do nothing other than to derail you and your sweaty palms high up on the jumping puzzle. You can't jump back to escape them, you have to sit there and watch as the orb comes through and steamrolls you all the way back down to the bottom so you can attempt to get lucky enough to grind your way back up towards the top again.

got it from the Prying-Eye. I did manage to get this done, but was shouting at my screen from time to time. On my successful attempt an Erratic Orb actually came too close, I heard the sound but somehow didn't knock me back (I think it actually was stationary as it collided with the sphere). Normally I'm a perfectionist and would restart, but this bs got me so annoyed, got the treasure, got the schematic and never returning to this room again.
Blizzard, really reconsider if you want to go into this direction with a janky physics engine, random zone lag, no checkpoints and already enough bs to do just to keep us busy. Stuff like this drives people away from this game.

I wouldn't mind jumping puzzles if Blizz would fix so that that space bar key ALWAYS meant jump. How is it I can hit the space bar and it does nothing, one time in say 5?

For all of those having trouble jumping onto the orbs for the cache, try doing it naked. The speed on my gear made me jump way too far every time. As soon as I took all of my gear off it took two tries.

If you're struggling with reaching this as I did, try jumping from 43.17, 40.62 (South-East corner) instead of the middle of the room, made it in one attempt from there.

These jump puzzles are some of the dumbest new additions to the game and are clearly not thoroughly tested and thought through.
By the look of the comments nobody seems to enjoy these, I have tried for 45 minutes as well but its too glitchy and the bounce-orbs on top of it makes it even worse.
Please dont do any stupid jump puzzles like this in the future, listen to your feedback for once.

As of 22/03/22, this cache resets daily. I don't know if it's a coincidence, but every time I opened it I found an epic equipment with item level corresponding to the First Ones progress, so 252 at 6/6.
Useful as a way to speed up gearing with a (guaranteed?) piece each day.

Man, I applaud the idea of putting more difficult jumping puzzles into the game, but there's "making the jumping puzzle difficult" and then there's "making your players want to break their keyboards because you've arbitrarily added some random stuff that can make them have to start over again and again and again," and I think this puzzle falls a little bit too close to the second one.

Actually easy if you use the back corner orb to start with instead of the middle. The only orb you need to dodge is the one that patrols the top, the other two never even go to your path. Also that path is far easier to traverse than the middle one. Good luck

I love playing Spacebar Roulette. Will the game decide this time that I took a standing jump or a flying running leap, randomly? Will it decide that I pressed the spacebar when I actually pressed it, or a beat later? Will it activate a jump at all, or will I just go running off my current precarious position? Does the game think that I'm in the middle of this orb, or on the corner of the square hitbox for a round object? Oh okay, there's no way to avoid the orb flying at me that's going to knock me to the ground, that's AWESOME.

and every race has
own jump inertion
which makes it barely possible to do for many characters at all.
It's not about tricky or hard arcade genre task, it is
about technical engine flaws

This is complete garbage. I've made it to the top ball 6 times and every single time all the moving balls come right up to that top ball and knock me off. Whoever created this deserves nothing good to ever happen in their career. Bin Ladin deserved a lesser punishment than what the designer of this does.

This is so difficult clearly it must be 'bugged'. So I report this 'bug' to Blizzard. Every. Single. Day. Quicker for them to make this jumpy game easier than it would be for me to actually make it to the top.

i spent right around an hour and a half in that gd room. only because i read the pocopoc skin was 100%. so i battled thru it. almost breaking my kb and throwing my mouse across the room. i finally make it to the top only to discover that it is in fact not 100% drop because i got gd cypher gear. A+ game design blizzard A $%^&ING PLUS

So, in case you were as frustrated as I was, the schematic is on top of the door, not the orb all the way at the top. So, start at center orb, jump up to first then go left to big orb, then jump to door. Schematic behind lip of the door frame.

I Found a very easy way to access the chest in less than 20 seconds using Engineering. Spam Gnomish Gravity Well to ascend then Goblin Glider onto the orb.

The video is VERY GOOD, if you have any hope to reach this cache do watch it.
My dwarf paladin is my only one phased to Zereth Mortis right now. Even wearing his nightrobe and nothing else I just can't manage more than one jump or two and I'm just not good at even that much.
My conclusion is that I'm convinced I can't do it. Ever. They need to fire whoever OK'd this puzzle for release, not just whoever thought it up in the first place.

Not possible to reach as Rogue having +15% baseline speed that cant be reduced and even worse as NE +5%. Hands down with chilled head, absolute garbage design.

warlocks, at the 5 oclock spot there is a ball in the corner, standing on top, put your warlock gate on the top of the closest cluster of 3 other balls. Yes the gate will appear on the ground, but you should be able to successfully gate within clicking distance of the treasure chest.

This is not a "puzzle" to figure out,
this is a waste of time.
An infuriating insult to players. Leave the parkour to Minecraft and stop putting this trash in WoW. It's already become so grindy that no one wants to play their alts because they have to spend 100% of their time farming motes and rep and doing these idiotic jumping things. Stop trying to class this garbage up by calling it a puzzle, and design something that's actually fun to do.

Your game is not a platformer. You are too inept and incompetent to even design a rip off of flappy birds. You'll never be competent enough to design a good platformer. You should be sad that the devs for the games you so poorly try to rip off are lightyears ahead of you in skill. use the toy from borrgeth, or something similiar (maw rare right outside the spawn), and slow fall at the peak height. There are plenty of slow fall toys if you dont have one.
I recommend you do this or use a monk/warlock or you will be wasting your time.

The
Gnomish Gravity Well
works in this room. Combined with a Demon hunters flying I got there within 5 minutes. Just look up and make sure you have nothing blocking your way to the roof. Spam the gravity well till you get above the cache and use your wings. Goblin glider tinker might work too - if you lack wings (you're unlikely to get it on the first go though..)

, I've come back to this cache on some alts and even my main, and actually found a bit of solid strategy that gets me the cache in about 2-3 minutes if I focus. This thing is actually kind of useful, as it drops a
ZM gear piece guaranteed, daily
. For the frustration, it is a good way to gear up as you progress more into Cyphers.
I'll try to describe my process as best I can in text. Having 40 Cosmic Energy left actually kind of helps as you have more control over the smaller movement due to being larger. Start on the
big side orb (below designated orb 1)
. On my main I originally started from the center and that's much worse. I'll describe four types of jumps I use on these orbs:
Bounce: stationary from the top of an orb
upwards
(climbing a ledge, basically).
Hop: no momentum, small jump from the back of an orb. Position is critical, as you want the originating orb to slow you down ever so much when you make a hop.
Leap: no momentum, medium jump from the top of an orb. No delay leap forward from the top.
Long jump: running from the back of an orb with momentum, essentially maxing out jump distance.
The route:
Orb 1 is a bounce from the ground.
1 > 2 > 3 are leaps.
3 > 4 is a hop.
4 > 6 is a leap.
The front orb, 5, is usually skipped with this jump.
You can land on that too which doesn't matter.
5 > 6 > 7 > 8 (big orb) are all bounces, you can hug these orbs and jump up to the big orb.
Big orb 8 > 9 is the only long jump.
Orb 9 is your respite spot, let the top Erratic Orb pass and finish the last four jumps in a swift motion.
9 > 10 > 11 are leaps.
11 > 12 >

This game's not built for difficult platforming challenges like this IMO. But some people in the comments are, in classic gamer fashion, jumping straight to "fire these people" and "these devs are stupid and inept" and so on. That's not criticism, that's not feedback, that's being childish, immature, and attacking people because you're frustrated. Grow up.

I don't hate the person who designed this. I merely want to put them in a jail and fill up the jail with acid, once for every time they designed a mechanic like this. Then, at the end of a thousand years, they would say, "Asha, I have learned not to do this thing because I hated the acid you put on me." And I would say, "That is why I did it. I did it for you, and for the World of Warcraft." I often think about this.
