After selecting the Lumbermill outpost quest chain in Gorgrond, Birchus will turn up and sell various fruit based food & drinks
He's quite... big. I actually wonder how he got in my level 2 garrison, I doubt he'd even fit through the large gates at the ocean side!
Does anyone know, if you switch the Gorgrond outpost building will you lose Birchus?
This NPC is really fun to see walking around my garrison. I'll have to see about finding others to add flavor to the stark frostfire atmosphere :)
I noticed that when he first showed up, he was standing directly in front of
, almost on top of him, and never moved from that spot. After I recruited
though, he started wandering around my garrison; Tormmok didn't move either at first, but after a few moments he also had a look around the place.
Birchus seems to have disappeared from my garrison. I've seen him since upgrading my town hall to level 3, so he
wasn't used for lumber, but there's no telling with these peons.
Edit: He came back! I guess he just needed a little vacation from all the snow. He's also vanished again a couple of times, but then he's around the next day.
Only joins horde Garrisons for some reason.
Edit: As of 6.2 Birchus is now also a welcome guest in Alliance Garrisons :)
in your garrison requires completion of the following quests..
The first starts with
at 49,50 in Gorgrond.
Ambassador to the Ancient
Shredder vs Saberon
or the Alliance equivalent
The Sacking of the Saberon
Which you get from a box in the area you're sent for
Taking the Death Bloom
Laying Dionor to Rest
It's important to note that
walks really slow and it'll take him some time before arriving at your garrison.
Is this npc only for the horde and
only for the alliance?
As neat as this guy is, I would love the option to harvest him for wood for my alt. He's practically a walking level 3 barracks waiting to happen.
Birchus has taken up permanent residence at my warlocks garrison and he's become a bit of a nuisance. He 1-shot a podling while I was picking herbs in my garden rendering me unable to loot the corpse for those extra plants. It was pretty cool seeing this big tree just kicking it at my pad, his kind have always been one of my favorites to see out and about in the world. But it's kind of like living with a really, really big dog. It's become a burden having him around, I swear he was taking a bath in my pond in the back once. Everyday when I log into my lock I'm really just hoping that Birchus has wandered his way back into the forest for good.
Anyone know of anything else like this that can be acquired through quest lines?
Quest chain to get
vanity garrison vendor:
When he walks around you, your screen is shaking ... at the start it seemed to be cool, but now i want him out of my garrison!
I'm concerned for Birchus. He gets dangerously close to the fires around the garrison.
Suddenly appeared in my Alliance garrison for the first time today. Must be due to the patch.
As of patch 6.2 Birchus has been added to Alliance garrisons.
this guy is annoying. constantly shaking the ground and doesn't sell anything worth while.
This guy is very annoying. I use my garrison quite a bit, and he is usually in the way. He is too big, enough to block a large chunk of my screen even though I am zoomed out, and the shaking effect is irritating. He has taken up what seems to be permanent residence in both of my characters' garrisons. I have no use for the items he is selling, and I would like to ask him to leave.
This big guy showed up in my garrison after 6.2 for some reason. Never saw him before that. (Alliance)
I feel sorry for hating on him. Poor Birchus gets so much hate but he just wants to help out by providing food for our peons... :(
I'd pay someone to come and kill him. I don't want this ahole in my garrison. He just gets in the way and if this were real he would shake all the buildings down and destroy the garrison just by walking around. He sells garbage that is absolutely worthless. Why would blizzard do this this? It makes no sense, like the stupid tree in the garden that gives worthless +75 fruit and that Oscar guy who always gets in the way and serves absolutely no purpose. If I am the commander why can't I fire these guys and kick their butts out of there?
This poor fellow looks so sad wandering though my garrison. I sometimes buy a stack of
from him and /cheer at him.
This guy is hardcore. He stomps around garrison and sell his own seeds.
