By far the classiest dressed Death Knight I've ever seen!
As of right now the information about this NPC is empty
From what i gatherd ingame and from the guide he sells:
Last Deck of Nemelex Xobeh
, 130 Tickets
, 90 Tickets
, 75 Tickets
, 75 Tickets
Noble's Fancy Boots
, 55 Tickets
, 75 Tickets
, 75 Tickets
For later wow joining users. Haunting momento was given out on what my friends said was in the scourge invasion event. And has since then been semi-wanted by other players for its vanity uses.
Update (3 november 2014):
indeed an different item
as this item gives you a debuff that has random effects. I seen spiders on my friend, and it turned me randomly into a Scourge.
all of the Noble's clothing is now Bind on Pickup (honestly Blizz was that really necessary?) so don't waste your tickets!
ETA3: Per Alfa's comment below
Chester has seen the light
and now will sell you whatever clothes you want.
As of this date, the NPC will only sell you gear based on your character's gender, which I sincerely hope is a bug given how the Lunar Festival NPCs will sell either pants or dresses without quibbling about gender.
ETA: Based on SerkTX's comment below I experimented with
, making my female toon look like a male (thank you random undead guy at the DMF).
LO AND BEHOLD
Chester will now ONLY sell me the "male" finery.
TL;DR: Chester fails at capitalism: will only sell you what he thinks your toon's gender is at the time but he is easily fooled as any toy or other genderbending transformation item seems to work. Yes, even with
Bones of Transformation
he was willing to sell my "male" Naga self some pants, go figure.
ETA2: Damn my toon looks good in these pants.
Possible reference to Marvelous Chester of the Dark Souls universe?
Chester is located in a small tent, seated on a cart, to the left of the turtle game (when facing east).
Changed as of 6.2, now the Nobleman's and Noblewoman's sets have different colors.
The Nobleman/woman's sets appear to have some kind of anti-crossdressing scripting, in addition to the purchasing restrictions. They change color based on your character's sex, so a female can never have the black and gold color scheme look, and vice-versa.
That also means that buying both the Noblewoman's Finery and Nobleman's Coat is pointless, as either one will look exactly the same.
Anyone else notice that he speaks like a Gilnean? Also I suspect he is a Death Knight with his blue eyes.
The appearance of the Nobleman's/Noblewoman's clothing he sells can currently be used for transmogrification on cloth wearers. Unless it was unintended and will later be "fixed", I'm rather pleased with this.
Update: These items appear to have been changed from "Cloth" to "Cosmetic" with 6.2. Transmoggable for all armor types, except the boots which are still "Cloth".
If you have an trouble finding him like i did, I made a Haunting Memento video and i clearly show him under his tent.
hes one creepy dude.... might i add
He is located under an awning (tent) at 51.36, 75.10, just to the left of the torches leading to Sayge.
Creepy is right - check out
, its item description, and then Chester's quest completion dialogue.
He is selling
I got sad, I wanted to wear a dress on my orc male :(
To further cement this vendor being a reference to Dark Souls, what is a Death Knight if not an Undead warrior? If they used an Undead race model, that would be closer to a Hallowed Undead.
The boots are now cosmetic with 6.2.2. Currently using them as transmog for leather boots.
Any idea where to get his top hat?
Y U NO SELL FANCY HATS?
Hey, I have a theory.
Maybe he is one of the Dark Riders?
In legion, they have the same DK skin texture and glowing eyes as him.
And he has access to a lot of weird relics.
The cosmetic equipment he sells is currently only unlocked for transmog for the character you buy the items on.
Where can we get a TOP HAT from?
Behind the roller coaster at the fair there is an outhouse with a tentacle wriggling up inside. Nailed to the side of this outhouse is a framed painting of what looks like a proposal from a human male to an elven female. I can't help but wonder if this is a depiction of
