Final Rank 9 Brawler's Guild Boss: Ahoo'ru
It's a 2 phase encounter which you have to still kill him in under 2 minutes.
He starts out by spawning and giving you ~5 seconds to put some damage into him, however, don't pop any cooldowns.
He then puts on a shield that you will have to break through.
Phase 1:
He puts shiny orbs around the room that move rather slow, dodge them. They hit for ~200k.
One orb will be extra noticeable. You need to run over and touch this orb.
Once you touch it, it spawns a Guardian. You have to bring him to around half HP before he casts Charge.
You need to run to the opposite side of Ahoo'ru so the charge hits him.
This knocks off one of his shield stacks.
You do this 3 times then phase 2 starts.
Phase 2:
The room clears and this is your burn phase.
Use every DPS cooldown you have to burn him.
He uses 2 mechanics in this phase besides normal melee damage.
First is a heal in which requires to be interrupted.
Second is a stun in which he summons many orbs around you. You must get out as soon as possible and touch as least amount of orbs as possible as for they put a DoT on you that ticks for 30k per 1 second.
Do the second mechanic a few times and beat the enrage and you win!
Grats on your rank 10 and new mount!
If you have any questions on this or any other Brawler's Guild boss, hit me up in-game.

During phase 1, Ahoo'ru will periodically shoot a random spark with a spell that turns it into a more glowy sparkle. Touching that activates a guardian. It's useful to note that he shoots this spell out periodically regardless of what you've done.
You can make this fight much easier on yourself by running around and activating all 3 guardians that you'll need, AoEing them down below 50% together and running to the other side of Ahoo'ru. They'll all hit together and he'll lose his shield, buying you precious time to spend on DPSing him.
This strategy assumes you're a class/spec with respectable cleave/AoE. Boomkins and some rogues need not apply.

Managed to kill him with avg. ilvl of 522 (elemental shaman)
This fight was quite demanding and it took quite many tries, of which many were bugged. Either the angels fell through the floor or they didn't count as dmg to Ahoo'ru's shield.
Used Nawp's tactic and ended the fight with 122k dps and barely made it.

A little tip for Elemental Shamans, and maybe any class with a knockback. Once you spawn the first angel, Ahoo'ru becomes susceptible to knockbacks, allowing you to launch him to a side of the room with thunderstorm, avoiding the converging orbs in the middle. My strategy was to pick up two angels fast while killing the first one, let the first one charge Ahoo'ru, and then thunderstorm him toward the third yellow light to pick up the third angel. Might save you a few seconds and make the first phase a little easier to navigate.

Still attempting this as a 516 Frost DK. The closest I have gotten him is 25% with a bad first phase. I think even with a good first phase I won't have enough damage with my current gear.
See Nawp's guide below for a good rundown of the fight
Some things I have learned so far:
Phase 1:
The first phase is very luck based. Some attempts can go great where all the "guardian swirlys" are close together and I can get them all to charge nearly at the same time while other times I will be forced to run all over the place and waste time.
Be careful when you are running to the first "guardian swirly" because the light orbs are still spawning and can appear on top of you.
Around the boss there is a circle of orbs that will periodically move in around the boss and then spread back out again. Try to keep an eye on this and make sure you don't force a "guardian" to charge when you can't get to the boss safely because of the orbs around him.
***When you have made a "guardian" charge stand on the boss and wait for the cast to finish. Move off the boss as soon as the cast ends and it will guarantee it hits the boss and not you.***
Phase 2:
Save all your cooldowns for this phase and nuke! As a DK you will be able to summon Army as soon as you move out for the final charge to hit the boss without wasting too much time.

This fight is incredibly bugged so far. It kinda feels like there hasn't been any PTR testing at all.
What I've got through so far:
- Adds spawning in walls and evade glitching
- Adds falling through the floor and evade glitching
- Adds charging through boss and not dropping charges of Divine Bulwark
- Adds preparing to charge and just vanishing
It's been really frustrating. Good luck to anyone trying this.

A few useful tips for mages:
If you use your mirror images right as the 2nd phase begins and then run away, Ahoo'ru will cast his divine circle on your mirror images saving you from taking a substantial amount of damage.
You cannot blink through the shiny orbs during the first phase without taking damage from whatever orbs you would have normally ran into. The same goes for the divine circle in the 2nd phase.
The orbs and the angel's charge are still able to damage you through ice block.
The debuff from divine circle can be taken off by using ice block.

A bit of advice if you're having trouble beating the dps check on this boss.
You can speed up phase 1 by not burning the angels one at a time. This will complicate the phase, making the skill cap for beating the fight higher. But it also allows you to dot up all three adds; also, instead of having nothing to attack while running around, you can dps one angel while spawning the next. This will speed up phase 1, giving you more time for the burn in phase 2.
Also, remember, you won't have a pre-pot or any of your initial procs active in phase 2. So it's best to at least try and save your cooldowns / second potion for when you see some other procs become active.
Finally, don't attack the boss at the beginning. He heals back up immediately when he bubbles anyway, but attacking him could cause your trinkets and such to proc, completely wasting them. While you'd prefer to save them for the phase 2 burn, you're better off at least being able to use them on the angels then having them proc against the bubbled boss and having them fall off before you can even attack the angels.

Just completed as a 519 BM hunter. (Used a LFR weapon)
My main pet was a Corehound for hero. In 5.4 there will be heroism drums, so you can swap out your main pet for something that gives an increase in damage, such as a ravager or a dragonhawk. Please note with the nerf to
群兽奔腾
, only your main pet will apply buffs/debuffs, so you can't load up your stampede with the damage debuffs now.
Phase 1 can be incredibly difficult. My biggest mistake throughout all of my attempts was assuming I had the DPS for phase 2 to kill angels one by one.
I started out by moving to a portion of the room where orbs won't spawn on me when the encounter starts. Then, once they did spawn, I moved on top of Ahoo'ru. When he spawned the first angel orb,I navigated to it and began DPSing it. As soon as the second one came up I stopped on the first and grabbed second. I did the same for third. Burn down the third and allow it to charge Ahoo'ru. Then choose lowest health next, but try not to AoE, you don't want to complicate things by having two charges at different times.
Phase 2 was by far the easiest.
For me, a huge change in tactics which gave me a few (very precious) seconds of extra dps was misdirecting to my pet and feigning death. What this will do is prevent him from using his orb ability on you, which will give you about 2-3 seconds to spare. By now, you will want to pop EVERYTHING! Hero, potion, every single damage CD you have. I even tied in my core hound's
to Bestial Wrath so I would have him doing extra dps on Ahoo for me.
Most importantly, do not panic when you see the floor light up. Focus purely on outputting as much damage as you can and you will take him down. Good luck out there!

If you're having difficulty in Phase 1, I HIGHLY recommend getting a hold of
诺格弗格药剂
and
水润珠宝
- the Elixer has a chance to shrink you, making it much easier to see and dodge the orbs, and the Aqua Jewel makes you almost 100% transparent, so you don't have to worry about those stupid orbs that sneak up on you because your body was blocking the view.
Combining those items, as a general strategy, I found it easiest to group the adds up to make Phase 1 go faster, as even with great DPS you lose too much time killing 1 at a time before moving to the next one.
Final phase is a little over 10 million HP before the enrage, so save everything for Phase 2 and cross your fingers!
Goodluck to all!

The orbs in phase two can be reflected by Warriors (and Hunters using Glyph of Mirrored Blades). This will tick for 360k on the boss for like 5 sec giving you a lot of time.

516 ele shaman. A couple tips from here really helped. Nogginfogger made navigation in phase one easier. I recommend rounding up 3 angels at once for chain lighting to fulmination. For phase 2 glyph grounding totem and talent in to Call of The Elements. Grounding totem will reflect not only 1 orb but as many as you pick up. Then Call of The Elements to reset your totem for 2nd set of orbs. It absolutely nukes him. Prior to doing this i was consistently ~1.5m damage short. using grounding totem I killed him with 13 seconds left until berserk.
FYI mount looks super small for orcs QQ

As of 6/2/13, Divine Circle appears to be bugged. Multiple sources (including myself) are accruing multiple debuff stacks, despite only hitting one orb while exiting the circle.

If you're a mage I recommend going frost, simply because phase 1 is the only challenging part of this fight and Frozen Orb+Ice Lance cleave makes this quick.
I did this at 519 by putting NT on the adds as quickly as I could spawn them, running to a corner, popping Frozen Orb, and cleaving them down. This will net you some extra time in phase 2 if you were like me and not in stellar gear. I wiped/reset probably 15 times in phase 1 trying to get it perfect, killed him first time I got to phase 2 cleanly.

The bugged orbs were fixed as of 6/4 this morning.
As an Affliction lock, the best thing to do is grab all 3 sparks in phase 1 and dot all 3 at the same time. It took me about 10 attempts or so to get the charge timings down.
Phase 2 is easy. Pop everything and melt him down. Run out of the shield orbs quick to get one orb dot, and interrupt the heal with your Fel Hunter/Observer.

Just beat him as a retribution paladin 524.
Trinkets used -> Ji-kun's feather and relic of xuen.
Strategy I used:
Phase 1
I picked up the three adds as soon as possible and went to a corner of the room while avoiding the sparks and bringing them down at the same time.
In case you don't know (like me) the charge spell the adds use will land in the place your character is once they finish their cast.
Phase 2
Don't use your cd's as soon as you enter phase 2, wait a couple of seconds until ahoo'ru does his orb spell because he stuns you for two or three seconds. Once he has done the first orbs, then pop everything you have got and burn him down.
Paladins remember to take Hand of purity, is an awesome talent for soak this combat orbs

Had over a minute left in p2, and killed him just as the last enrage fire was about to drop.
Needless to say, it's a very tight fight if you're low geared, but it is possible if you know what you're doing.
Don't give up if your gear is around the same ilvl as mine, keep going!

Just completed this as an
516 Elemental Shaman
.
Talent build from 90 down to 15:
Primal Elementalist
(Synergizes extremely well with Brawler fights, Earth first half, and Fire second half of the arena)
Healing Tide Totem
(Click-and-forget heal)
Echo of the Elements
Call of the Elements
(in synergy with Stone Bulwark)
Windwalk Totem
(Did not play any part of the fight)
Stone Bulwark Totem
(Second half when Earth Elemental is down)
Buffs:
Flask (1000 intellect)
Healthstone (Warlock)
Well Fed (300 intellect)
Mage Buff for 5% critt.
Mark of the Wild (druid)
First Macro:
/castsequence reset=4 Stormlash Totem, Fire Elemental Totem
/cast Heroism
/use Bottomless Potion of Brawler's Cunning
/use 10
Second Macro
/cast Ascendance
/cast Spiritwalker's Grace
This is how I proceeded:
As the fight starts, and he walks towards me, I do nothing, to save my guaranteed Jade Spirit procc on first hit. The only thing I do is pop my earth elemental, which will come to play a vital part in the fight for me.
As the boss goes into the shield, I have found the corners to be a safe spot to avoid getting hit by the spawning orbs. I was INCREDIBLY
lucky
, and they spawned pretty close. I
flameshocked
the first, but the second spawned before shock was off cooldown. I then proceed to chain light them down to 65%, (
TidyPlate
addon make this easier to track) I use Lava Burst proccs on whichever is highest health. Remember
Earth elemental
is up, so he helps DPS on them. I then run to the other side of the dude (I choose to keep the boss in the middle, instead of knocking him back, which is also a possibility). I taunt with elemental, guaranteeing he has aggro on everyone, and i tip the 50% mark, making them all charge. At this point they are all targeting elemental. I have keyboard bind "Move To" ability for pet to Caps Lock, and move the pet over the boss, so the charge hits where I want it to. His shield is depleted very quickly in the winning try, so I still have earth elemental with me into the DPS stage as he survived the first phase.
As the DPS stage starts, I start with
flame shock
, and just
vanilla DPS rotation
while the earth elemental is still up. I
Earth Shock
for
Fulmination
(which is on 7 stacks because i spammed
Chain Lightning
on adds in the first phase).
As soon as
Earth Elemental
dies, I know I have only 1 minute left before enrage.
I quickly press my
First macro
once, which uses intellect pot and Engineering enchant on gloves, grating me a truckload of intellect. I was also lucky, and had Jade Spirit up at the this time. The second time I click
First macro
, I spawn the
Fire Elemental Totem
, now with a large amount of extra intellect, causing him to become very powerful. After that, I click
Second macro
, which is
Ascendance
, and I start spamming
Lava Bursts
like a god. On the first ring after all my DPS cooldowns is blown, I utilize my
Stone Bulwark Totem
for damage reduction against the rings once they spawn. I got in total 3 rings spawning, I outhealed the second with Healing Tide Totem, the third was mitigated by
Stone Bulwark Totem
(I used
Call of the Elements
to reset cd). I was unfortunately not able to utilize the spell reflect "bug", as it had been fixed 3-ish days before I started on the boss.
I beat the fight with approximately
5-10 seconds
to spare. Would I have done it if it wasn't for three lucky orbs spawning relatively close to each other? Probably not. Perhaps. But it was bound to happen. I spent the vast majority of 2 nights on this boss, and stopped counting tries after the first day. I was lucky and had only 1-2 people at most visiting the arena while I was pouring my blood, sweat and tears into the encounter, so a minimum of que-time. I pushed around 35ish tries the first day, but did not count the second day. I reckon I spent around 60-75 food buffs, so thats likely to be the amount of tries I had on him.
In the end, dancing between orbs, using Ghost Wolf, to quickly spawn angles, became really easy. I can do nothing more than recommend you put in enough tries on him, as this seems like a fight where you just simply have to learn the different aspects. Become familiar with them. How much healing is needed on the rings, how big is the area around the orbs in the first phase, where can I stand to not get dropped when the orbs initially spawn, these things really need to be in place before you will have a realistic chance at the boss. Of course if you are in a raiding guild you will have a easier time, as my item level was only 516 as of beating the encounter, had I been at 540 it would probably have taken me half the time, as I reached the last phase numerous times, but died to enrage.
All in all a very enjoyable boss, and a cool "final" encounter of the brawler guild. Best of luck to anyone attempting this! Stick with it, and
you will get it down in the end!

Finaly finished this fight as a
Frost Death Knight
after alot of tries.
I felt this page could use some tips on how to deal with this as a DK.
Phase 1:
As many others have said, it is quite RNG'ish, the swirly lights that spawn the adds might get stuck in walls if you're extremely unlucky. Before the boss spawns, prepot (because those 5 seconds of the potion will help bursting the first add) Also, pop pillar of frost. It will most likely be off CD in phase 2. Make sure NOT to use AMS in P1, because you will have an even harder time surviving the rings in P2.
Phase 2:
Start dpsing as usual until he casts his first Ring. Pop AMS and run out, pop army + other cds (dont forget the pot!) On the second ring you want to run with the AMZ Talent to negate the damage. and the 3rd ring (Just before he enrages) use AMS again.
I completed the fight with 520 ilvl ( 524 weapon) about 0.1 seconds before the enrage would have killed me, previous to this i had a ton of 3 - 10% wipes. I also took the adds 1 by 1 in P1 because i didnt want to rely too much on RNG spawns.
Best of luck to you and i hope this mini guide helps :)

Just completed as a 508 Elemental Shaman. This can be done at a lower ilvl. Here are a few suggestions from my experience.
Phase 1
1) The one thing I noticed is I had to free him with
at least 1 minute left
. Anything lower I would hit enrage.
2) My biggest suggestion is to try to pick up at least 2 orbs in a row if possible (RNG sucks) and get them down fast and then grab the 3rd orb and blow it up.
3) If you pre-pot at 1:55 seconds, you will have it up for when he comes free and you can pot again!
Phase 2 -
1)
He always heals when he gets to 50%, then again at about 5% so be ready!
2) Don't try to dodge the orbs as you may get 2 and that's a wipe. Just run through 1 and deal with that damage or pop a cooldown and burn use that first set to burn him past 50%
Good luck! Enjoy your awesome mount!

Completed as a 521 ret this morning. I've found very few guides for melee, especially ret paladins so I thought I'd make a few suggestions if you are stuck on this encounter.
Talents:
http://www.wowhead.com/talent#lFhl
15 - Pursuit of Justice mainly to get to the first angel faster, I will explain why in a minute.
45 - The almost free heal is a life saver in p2 if DP and purity are down
60 - Probably the most important talent to pick up for phase 2
75 - My personal favorite in terms of dps, Id recommend it over Divine Purpose because RNG sucks but also over holy avenger because of my playstyle. Either should work
90 - Execution Sentence served me to provide the most dps in p2 as well as giving me a great way to nuke down the first angel while I run around for the 2nd
Glyphs - Templars Verdict is just about a must, its up about 95% of the time and 10% less damage is great. Do NOT take Divine Protection glyph as the amount of melee damage you take in this fight is negligible. Double Jeopardy is great at the beginning for all 3 angels. I took Avenging Wrath as my last glyph just because I have Santified Wrath and would receive about 15% of my hp.
Strategy
Phase 1
After spawning into the arena I would count to 5 and then pop my prepot. I would exorcism, judegment, and crusader strike ahooru to build up holy power. Then I ran a little ways away from Ahooru to avoid the initial RNG spawns. I also used Divine Protection to protect myself against bad spawns ontop of my character. I judged one last time before he shields to build up SH stacks. At this point I have 4 holy power and 30% movement speed. I wait a second or two and then move into ahooru in order to optimize my location for the first angel location. This is where PoJ is better than Long arm. You can no longer attack ahooru to gain the 45% buff but we now have 30%. After running over the first angel I use inquisition, exorcism, and apply execution sentence. Its a minute cooldown and will be up to burst ahooru. Once I apply ES, I locate the 2nd angel and begin to position myself for the first charge. I continue to kill the next 2 angels in much the same way. I aim to spawn the 3rd before the 2nd charges in order to gain holy power on it while 2nd is charging but RNG doesnt always allow. Be wary of the collapsing orbs as often times they will do this when you are lining up for the angels' charge. Its important to note that the angels will not begin charging until they are below 50% health.
Phase 2
This phase is almost the same every time you do it. The only difference is how much time you have given yourself to DPS. Its best to run a dps check to see how long it takes you to do 10.3M damage. As ilvl 521 I needed about 53-66 seconds to down the 10.3M hp. When ahooru spawns, bring him to the back of the arena away from the enrage timer fire. DO NOT pop any cds (angel/wings/pot/ES) until you get out of the first ring. He will stun you before this and you will waste precious burst time. Its best to build a few holy power and reapply inquisition. When a ring spawns, get out ASAP, as the longer you wait, the close the orbs become and the more likely you will hit 2 or 3. They do 30k holy every sec for 8 seconds so its best to run through ONE after popping divine protection. After youre out of the ring use hand of purity to reduce the DoT further. Throw yourself an insta flash of light if need be. Now is the time to burst. Pop angel and wings with your potion. In order to maximise the strength stack, wait until guardian stacks to 20 before popping execution sentence. Towards the end of your burst he will do another stun and ring. This time use devotion aura and hand of purity to soak the ring damage. If needed, use lay on hands to heal up and continue DPSing. The boss will also cast a 100% heal when he is at 50% and 5% health. You can stun him or rebuke.
Because the fight mechanics are based around heatlh percentages, I switched my unit frames to show % and not numerical values.
Depending on your ilvl, DPS, and outside buffs, you will need more or less time than myself.
Buffs
For my fight I used a Flask of Winter's Bite and 250 strength food. I also used Blessing of Might, and had a Mage sp/crit buff, and a warrior's battle shout.
Summary
Overall the fight is quite a dps and awareness check. It was a great boss to down for such a prestigious mount. The most important aspect of the fight is minimizing your p1 time to maximize your uptime on the boss. Buff groups and guildies do wonders for this.
GOOD LUCK AND ENJOY YOUR MUSHAN MOUNT!

As of tonight, this is bugged for me. I am an enhancement shaman and I am doing fine, ending phase 1 with 40-50 seconds left. With my dps, that is plenty of time. The problem I am having is the divine circle. I have tried this at least 10 times and the same results happen. I run through ONE orb as fast as I can, and 3 orbs fade and give me 3 debuff stacks. This kills me FAST, even through my spirit wolves' and my own self heals. I am not sure if my pets are setting off the orbs or what, but this is very frustrating.

Tbh, this boss is easier than i thought. Damage three angels until 50% then they dash into boss and second phase starts. On this phase you must only interrupt heal of Ahoo'ru and run from the circle rings, nothing more.

Just completed this as a 519 ww monk
I started the fight pre potting and putting my transendance where Ahoo'ru spawns and trying to get max chi from expel harm before fight to burn Ahoo'ru as much as possible in the 5 seconds you have.
Then I spawned 2 angels and dps took one to 1.1m then the other one to 1.1m then fist of furyd both to cause the charge and rolled through Ahoo'ru. Then I used 10 stacks of tigereyes brew and burned the other angel. When Ahoo'ru came out of bubble I popped pot and Xuen and 10 stacks of tigereyes brew and burned him.
Tips: When he divine circles you should take 2 and use touch of karma for extra dps.
Use transendance to get out of circle.
If you eat 2 or more stacks use diffuse magic and fortifying brew.
good luck

As an enhancement shaman, the mechanics of phase 2 were trivial (Ancestral Guidance + all CDs up = no worries about the debuff from walking through the ring), so my ability to finish the fight was dependent only on how fast I got out of phase 1.
It helped to move toward the next angel while I was still working on one, though this can be frustrating since they walk very slowly and there are many opportunities to get hit by the lights. There's some RNG involved here; if they decide to spawn closer to where you already are, obviously that's to your advantage, but if several spawn on you at once, that could be bad since they'll start to obscure your view of the lights. I used wolves during phase 1 to help keep myself healed up while taking down the angels faster. The CD was up again in time for phase 2, at least with the T15 set bonus.
If you've gotten this far, you shouldn't have too much trouble. He's no Hexos, that's for sure.

I recently completed this as a Marksmanship Hunter, going Beast Mastery didn't work out as well for me.
Phase 1:
The pet was causing some issues when it was pulling aggro on the Angels and they were charging the add instead of me, thus not damaging the shield. I actually had the pet dismissed for this phase, the majority of my damage as MM was not pet dependent. You can pre-pot for the angels so you get another go at the pot in phase two. As others pointed out, I wiped a few times trying to damage the adds one by one. Make sure you activate all three sparks as soon as possible and also don't get into position behind the boss too early - you run the risk of the Angel being too close to boss and charging you instead. Use Rapid Fire, Dire Beast and Murder of Crows when all three Angels are out.
Phase 2:
Compared to the first phase, this is a cakewalk and with about 45 seconds left you should be able to complete this before the enrage. Make sure you interrupt his heals and, if you had your pet dismissed for phase one, summon for that extra DPS boost. I would also save Stampede and Readiness for this phase, so you get your DPS cooldowns back for the burn phase.
Good luck, this boss does take a few attempts and a bit of luck.

My only tip that hasn't already been listed here is to do the first angel, then pick up the second and third angels together. You don't have to kill them together (in fact I found having two charging at the same time more dangerous), but most of the time if I killed the second angel right away it was timed just as the stars clustered in tightly around Ahoo. So that few seconds grabbing the third angel was enough to favourably adjust the timing.

For those struggling to beat the enrage timer, like I was, try to make sure you activate your on-hit trinket procs during phase 2 with Ahoo'ru, as the first phase has really more of an aiming and walking priority to dps.
If you can find a time when you can quickly enter the arena, activate the procs, feign/die then re-enter the arena you should do this. I found in the morning around 6am was good, but on more populated realms this may be difficult.
I found the trinket procs changed my attempts from 100-700k health before I died to easily beating the timer at ilvl 534 (with easily retrieveable buffs, such as flask, drums, both lust and kings) (BM Hunter).

Let me sum up this entire fight for you:
a)Be as lucky as a human could ever possibly be in any circumstance whatsoever in phase 1,
b) hit the boss

gamer1494
In all seriousness, this fight revolves around your ability to be as quick and efficient as possible in phase 1. If you can do phase 1 with perfect efficiency then you will be able to get the kill in phase 2 easily enough by meeting the dps requirement.

I beat Ahoo'ru at considerably higher ilvl, 530+ as BM Hunter. Although I most likely was very slow and unlucky with the adds, too got him down. During my pulls, I noticed that when Ahoo'ru is walking towards the centre, I could DPS him down to about 90% health. For others, he'd heal back to 100%, but not for me. This helped me A LOT, considering I have had very low 1% wipes, one wipe even going as badly as I got him down, then dying to enrage and not winning.
Why this high ilvl? I did not have any buff groups, at best I had stats and mastery, or crit...I used a Spirit Beast to heal myself.

Ahoo'ru done as a 528 Arms Warrior(no legendary) with a small amount of difficulty
Glyphs
: Rude Interruption, Colossus Smash, Unending Rage
Buffs
: 275 str from food, 1000 str from Flask of Winter's Bite, the potion buffs, random buffs from whoever I was with at the time, I believe a shaman and warlock.
Key points
: Using
Avatar
as your level 90 talent selection. He isn't stun immune, so Storm Bolt only does normal damage and you are not fighting him so much as you are fighting the enrage.
Second Wind
will keep you alive in Phase 2.
He can be disarmed
Using some form of cooldown when he uses the big circle of orbs and you are not at full HP/near full.
Retaliation, Shield Wall, something. Unless you are much, much higher ilvl or have quite a bit of rage pooled, you can't afford to go into defensive stance for the entire duration of the debuff.
Having people around to buff you/provide things like a Healthstone. It's stamina, attack power, mastery, 5% strength, mastery and attack speed. Don't underestimate the power of friendship/inviting random people to a raid group!
----------
Phase 1
: I use my first potion as soon as the boss bazzleflange above stops moving/flying, it does not incur the regular "1 per fight" cooldown this way. In defensive stance, I charge Ahoo'ru and UNTARGET IMMEDIATELY. DO NOT ATTACK, YOU WILL HAVE A CHANCE TO WASTE ANY PROCS YOU HAVE. At this point, you have around 40 rage to start, assuming you use a shout here as well(I have one bound to charge.) I sit ontop of him until he starts the lightshow, none of the lights spawn directly on top of him, so you are safe from RNG for now.
Due to the often BS nature of this encounter, I opted to go for 1 angel at a time. I spawn one(run to him in defensive stance, if you accidentally prick your finger on the light it'll do 150k instead of 200k)and get him to about 1m and watch the light sprites around Ahoo'ru. If they are far away and/or not forming into a circle, quick slam/nuke and take off the shield. Repeat. It's a pain in the ass, and if you miss one you have to start over again.
Phase 2
: Use your second potion here, it should be off of cooldown. Burn every single offensive cooldown possible. Avatar, Skull Banner, Recklessness, Berserker Rage(If not already enraged), Blood Fury(for orcs), any trinkets, etc, Colossus Smash and start preying for your Slams to crit. Like I said before, use a defensive cooldown when exiting the ring and you have half or less than half hp. He can be disarmed, although it takes up a valuable GCD. Pull him to the far wall, away from where the berserk fireballs fall, just in case. With Glyph of Rude Interruption, interrupting his full heal = 6% more damage, just a little booster. For extra damage, if you can handle it, Heroic Leap is off of the GCD and provides a small dps boost if used every time it's off of cooldown(I had galakras trinket, glyph of heroic leap reduces it further to about 22s cooldown but I didn't have the latter.)
Hope this helped even 1 person. Enjoy your shiny new mount!
tldr: burn cooldowns after phase 1, if you get into phase 2 with less than 1 minute left and dont have good gear you might be boned.

Just killed him as a 525 ilvl ww monk.
A few tips for monks:
- switch your lvl 45 talent to
Chi Brew
and stack
Tigereye Brew
while waiting. This also allows for more burst during phase 2.
- use
Transcendence
to quickly get to the boss.
-
Tiger's Lust
is very helpful on phase 1.
- don't forget to utilize your
Touch of Karma
and
Touch of Death
+
Fortifying Brew
on phase 2.
Good luck =)

List of Helpful Things for Ahoo'ru:
Flask - Whatever gives a 1000 buff to what helps your character's attack power the most; never go stamina or spirit. Crystal of Insanity isn't great since it drops off on death.
Buff Food - Whatever gives you a 300 buff to your attacking stat.
Buff Group - Pay guildies or Trade if you have to. Have as many as you possibly can.
Items to Use in P2:
Drums of Rage
- Heroism in a Drum for the classes without one.
Misty
,
Bubbling
, and
Thick
Pi'jiu Brew -These can be farmed off Timeless Isle and can be used anywhere, giving you 3 Panda DPSers at once.
Faintly-Glowing Herb
- Farmed on Timeless Isle, can be used anywhere, a great, fast free Heal over Time. Can be used in P1 but might be wasted if you die to orbs.
Brawler's Potion - Again, whatever helps your attack the most.
Use the P2 items when you think you have a kill available; don't blow them all with 20 seconds on the enrage timer left, but when you have a minute or so and actually have a chance of bursting him down.

I decided to add in a Ret guide as I helped another pally out with the glyphs/talents recommended to me by a friend and she one-shot it after changing.
Glyphs:
Templar's Verdict - Self-explanatory. Free defensive boost that procs often.
Double Jeopardy - Helps with do extra damage switching targets between angels.
Avenging Wrath - An extra heal when you're in the burst phase that doesn't require any attention or pause.
Talents:
15 -Pursuit of Justice - Lets you move more freely as a passive and you should have holy power built up after DPSing down an angel anyway. You can use Long Arm if you like, I felt this one worked better.
30 - Doesn't matter.
45 - Selfless Healer - Fast, free healing procs. Sacred Shield doesn't really help and the fight isn't long enough or damage-heavy enough (if done right) to warrant Eternal Flame.
60 - Unbreakable Spirit - Frankly I picked this because it makes the LoH CD quicker as it doesn't reset on death and you're probably going to die quite a few times to get the hang of this boss. You could use Hand of Purity on phase 2 for the stacks but they're minor damage to be honest and can be taken off by bubble, never had a problem with them.
75 - Holy Avenger - Supreme for DPS burst over a short period, a must-have.
90 - Execution Sentence - A very good DoT for P2 or to smack on the first angel if you're grabbing multiple, and the other two do very poorly in here as they're not much of an AOE or a HoT.
Other Useful Things:
Faintly-Glowing Herb - A free 30k a sec HoT with no CD and you don't actually stop to eat it, it's insta-cast.
Drums of Rage - An item that replicates Heroism for classes without, a must-have for P2.
Make sure to use your Divine Protection when it's up! Very useful for cutting down on lightfield damage.
A macro to take off Divine Shield instantly, as when it's up, it halves your DPS. You may want to shake off the DoT stacks you get from Ahoo'ru's ring, but you don't want to leave the bubble up. Just make a macro like this:
/cast Divine Shield
/cancelaura Divine Shield
Bubble sadly doesn't work for the lightfield in here, so P2 is the only time you're going to end up using it anyway.

As a hunter I highly recommend glyphed deterrence and spirit bond. This pretty much doubles the number of of stars you can soak in the first phase, giving you much needed freedom to position yourself for a charge or to open that surrounded angel-star without losing time. Just remember to pop deterrence
before
taking the hit. The glyph lowers the damage to 100k and spirit bond will heal that back up in 10-15 seconds, depending on your life.

I saw a player using two of these:
薄雾老啤酒
,
馥郁老啤酒
,
气泡老啤酒
in the arena.
Maybe these can be used altogether in case of lack of dps / heal. But it's all on one card then.
Edit:
Just tested it for those who always let others do the testing. Result: All three can be used but should only be used in phase#2 as they'll be hit by the 200k stars of phase#1 if used there.

The DPS required is affected by how soon you are able to push him to Phase 2. At best, expect to have about 70 seconds remaining and worst at about 40. DPS requirement below:
70 Seconds = 142k
60 Seconds = 166k
50 Seconds = 200k
40 Seconds = 250k
If you are hitting enrage, you need to be entering Phase 2 sooner. Once you know how much time you need in Phase 2, you can save on repairs by using your escape combat ability, vanish, ect. to call off the fight if you miss the cutoff.

This fight is not necessarily
hard
, per se.
This fight is problematic. It is problematic because there was either no play testing done or Blizzard just no longer cares.
Bugs
Charge activation does not break a bubble charge even if within the sphere graphic
Angels fall through the floor
Angels fall well below 50% and do not charge
I'm about to start my 34th try on this. I've died within 10 seconds and I've had him as low as 14%. This encounter relies very, very, very much on luck. Which is to say this encounter is incredibly poorly designed. I believe the idea behind Brawler's Guild was meant to be a measure of talent for dealing with creative encounter design - someone dying without getting out of the gate, followed by dropping the encounter to 14% is the exact opposite of this.

the best piece of advice i can give to other hunters who have/had trouble with this guy: get the
微微发光的草药
from Timeless Isle, and get the
发光的怪蘑菇
, same place. without any self heals, you'll have to avoid the orbs at all costs, and immediately proc the herb if you get hit, especially at low IL (551, survival spec, and still not enough HP to live through 3 hits). use the 1k agility flask, and get one bottle, bottomless or otherwise, of the 4k agility boost potion. once phase two hits, NUKE THE LIVING *censored* OUT OF HIM! proc all cooldowns, save Deterrence for when he traps you in the sphere circle, use Counter/Silencing shot if he tries to cast Complete Heal, and keep proccing the shrooms when they're not providing the buff, to regain Focus much faster. I managed to do it just at the berserk timer, but higher IL means more dakka to throw in his face.
and for other classes, i reccomend just grabbing whatever self heal you have, and binding it to a accessible key, and constantly using it whenever you get hit. 200k damage is not pretty, no matter the class. flask, food buff, potion on second phase, and cooldowns on second phase. that's all it is for you guys.
Good luck out there, and have fun with your rank ten Brawler's Guild, and the ego boost it provides.

In true Brawlers Guild fashion, this boss has some extremely aggravating things bugs.
More often than not, by the time you'll get to an orb, it will be next to the wall ... and the guardian will evade bug.
A lot of times as well, the guardians will charge but not despawn after, or they won't even charge at all, meaning you have to spawn another one.

After hours of attempting, I finally killed this guy as a
535 arms warrior
! No legendary and any of the op stuff. And on top of that, for hours I had been trying to kill him with the
WRONG METHOD
, which is the conventional way of killing each angel individually. Now the problem with killing each angel individually is that you don’t have enough time to kill Ahoo’ru in Phase 2, which can become a serious problem. The best record I made with this method (wrong approach) is getting him down to 12% before dying to the AOE enrage timer. Also note that I popped everything I could, flask, food, drums of rage, potion, etc, you name it. Still no go.
Now if you have been struggling as an arms warrior with mediocre gear (535 really is mediocre comparing to all the people with heroics and legendary and whatnot), you’ve come to the right place.
With this method I killed him with my rough estimate of 25 seconds remaining before enrage timer, which means it may very likely to be doable for you even if you're slightly undergeared than me.
Here is how I did it in a nutshell: take Bladestorm and spawn all 3 angels at once, Thunder Clap and Bladestorm and get them all to 50% and charge towards Ahoo’ru.
If you wish to see a more detailed explanation, I also wrote one just in case; however, be warned of the wall of text below, if reading is not your thing. I’ll try to add a video in the future if I had time for one.
Edit:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zHNVof9bH9E
(I don’t want to claim any credit for this method because maybe other people have done it this way, but from the research I had done I didn’t see anything like this)
-----------------------
Preparation:
Items
All possible food, flask and drums of rage and any buff that can boost your damage would be great. I’m assuming if you made it this far, chances are you already know the basics. However, remember not to pop any burst abilities till P2.
7.5% Hit Chance is a must have.
As for Expertise, I killed him with 7.5% as well. Your attacks can still be parried by him but you can't do anything other than praying to the RNG God.
Absolute needed talent:
Second Wind (one of your primary survival tools in P2)
Bladestorm (I’ll explain in a second)
Avatar or Bloodbath (P2 hard cheese)
Glyphs:
Rude interruption (in P2 after you interrupt him you get 6% overall damage)
Bull rush (minor rage boost, recommended)
Colossus Smash (armor pen is always welcome)
--------------------------------
Onto the fight:
In P1
, charge directly at Ahoo’ru when he spawns, but before reaching him press “Esc” to cancel target because you don’t want to hit him and accidentally trigger any buffs such as your weapon enchant. Now, stand on top of him because the lights that deal damage don’t spawn on top Ahoo’ru. Switch to defensive stance and wait for him to pop out the orb that would spawn the first angel. The reason why you want to switch to defensive stance is because if you get hit by the light you take 25% less damage, which is huge. (Huge thanks to
Uberphailure
for pointing this out)
After that, you want to walk towards the orb without walking over any light (Duh). Don’t panic if you hit any. From my personal experience, as long as you survive P1 with more than 50k HP you’ll be fine (no kidding, Second Wind OP). It is worth noting that you should NOT use any defensive Cooldowns in P1 because you probably won’t make it in P2 if you do. Now, upon reaching and spawning first angel, don’t attack it. Instead, tilt your camera to check where Ahoo’ru sends out the second orb. Go directly to the second orb and make the angel spawn. Then do the same thing with third angel. After all three angels spawn, you want to walk to one of the four corners of the arena so you get absolutely minimum distraction from the moving lights. Then switch to Battle Stance, simply wait for the angels to come, don’t severely damage the first angel that comes, but hitting a mortal strike to generate more rage is fine. After all 3 angels come, pop Berserker Rage so you do 10% more damage, hit Thunder Clap to apply deep wounds and start Bladestorm and spin to win! With these spells alone, you should be able to kill the angels. If not, try popping Bloodbath as well before starting spinning. As soon as one of the angels starts charging, you want to switch to Defensive Stance and make your way to the boss even if it means you’ll hit one or two lights. Don’t panic if you only see one angel charging, more will come after Deep Wounds (and Bloodbath if you used it) continually deal damage to them. Also be sure to move out of the way after they finish channeling, because if you get hit by any of the angels it’s game over. After all three angels finish charging you should safely arrive to P2. As I mentioned earlier, don’t panic if you’re low on HP. As long as you have over 50k you’ll be fine.
In P2,
if your HP is low to begin with, do not pop any defensive skills because they’re very valuable and needed to be saved for when Ahoo’ru uses Divine Circle, which is the skills that he summons several spheres that deal 30k damage per second for 8 seconds upon being touched. This is very important and one of the keys to survive Divine Circle in P2 with mediocre gear. Now simply switch back to Battle Stance and pop everything you have and go HAM on this guy. He would be melee attacking you but the damage is so little and pretty much neglect-able. Be on your guard and as soon as he uses Divine Circle, pop Shield Wall and Rallying Cry (do NOT pop Die by the Sword) and proceed to move out of the circle. Moving out of the circle fast is the absolute priority even if it means you’ll lose a few seconds to DPS Ahoo’ru, and you should only get 1 stack of the debuff. You might be snared when the circles spawn but just try to keep moving. After that, continue damaging him as best as you can. He should be casting Divine Circle again soon and sometime during the fight he’ll channel Complete Heal and interrupting this with pummel is the absolute priority. Anyways, when he casts Divine Circle the second time, use Die by the Sword to mitigate damage taken and if you’re really low, switch to defensive stance and pop Bladestorm and move out of the circle. Don’t forget to switch back to Battle stance later. At this point you should be almost killing this guy, continue to deal as much damage as you can and the victory is yours.

For Shadow Priests:
As others have said, for P1 it is more efficient to gather up three angels, dps them to 50%, and have them all charge at the same time. To help gather these, I stood on him and waited for the first one, speed shield to that, then Disperse to the next two and into a corner. The Disperse cuts down a great deal on the damage and lets you move in a direct path, rather than avoiding the points of light. The Glyph of Fade is also helpful for damage reduction. After the angels are down, PW: Shield should be off cooldown for running through Ahoo'ru.
For P2 I had Insanity Mind Flay as the main nuke. You should have at least two orbs going into P2 from the angels. Rooting with Void Tendrils also helped to get away from him and his annoying interrupt charge.
If you are not a blood elf, you can use Psychic Scream if you get more than one heal cast. He does the first at 50%. The Scream also interrupts his Divine Circle, but I found it pointless to interrupt this as he will cast it again immediately after the fear is gone.
For his Divine Circle, if you do get hit by an orb, more than two is fatal, so I do suggest you try to go through just one rather than going between and accidentally hitting two. Vampiric Embrace is useful here, as well as Divine Star. Divine Star is useful in both phases, primarily for its quick cooldown as a self heal and while damaging the angels.
At 556 ilvl the enrage timer almost got me, and it was more or less a "perfect" attempt out of the 50+ attempts I had on this guy. The buffs I had were: 1000 flask, 300 food, and Drums of Forgotten Kings. On previous failed attempts I also had Drums of Rage (Bloodlust), but I ran out of those. I'm sure if I had those after I had perfected my strategy I would not have cut it so close to the enrage timer.
One final tip: for some fights, those where I will be using the Insanity Mind Flay, I found that SPriests are at a great disadvantage without orbs at the start. The way to counter this I found was to purchase a card of a Rank 1 fight, Bruce for example, get your orbs while easily killing him, leaving you with three orbs for the fight you are working on. I used this many times throughout all of my Brawler's Guild fights.

If you have set your settings to low to avoid lag/FPS drop issues, particle density on low is making phase one a NIGHTMARE, set it on Ultra, it didn't affect my FPS at all, and you will see ALL lightnings clearly.
After doing that I was able to win in two more tries. Good luck with Ahoo'ru.

Since I died to this more times than I want to recall with various strategies, I wrote up a demo lock guide for how I finally beat Ahoo'ru. Maybe some of these tips will help other warlocks who are banging their heads against this. We have some great tools for this fight but it's a lot to juggle and ultimately it still requires some decent luck in Phase 1.
TALENTS:
* Soul Leech (Dark Regen wasn't cutting it for me and the absorbs in phase 1 helped immensely)
* Mortal Coil (as needed for healing)
* Soul Link (with Observer; it won't die)
* Unbound Will (to get out of the stun in phase 2)
* Supremacy
* Kil'Jaeden's Cunning
PHASE 1:
* Right before it zones you into the arena, pop Twilight Ward
* As soon as you zone, drop a Demonic Circle in the center of the room
* Pop a potion (I used Bottomless Cunning) and move wherever you like (I stood near a corner)
* Ahoo'ru spawns, hit him with Corruption first for demonic fury, Curse of Elements, and a Shadowbolt or two
* Hit the first angel with Corruption and Imp Swarm, and Shadowbolt while heading for the next one
* I used Unending Resolve here, and a healthstone as needed during the angels
* You'll probably have 2 angels up at any given time (cast Hand of Gul'dan if you like and they're close together)
* You'll be able to teleport only once if you're quick enough on the angels, so don't rely entirely on teleport
* Cast Twilight Ward on CD, especially if you're as bad at dodging sparkles as I am
Enter Phase 2 with at least 45 seconds before berserk. Adjust this for your DPS output/luck/whatever. I just killed myself if I was too slow to complete Phase 1 and queued again.
You should be entering Phase 2 with full or close-to-full demonic fury.
PHASE 2:
* Pop Terrorfiend, cast Corruption and Imp Swarm (whenever it's back up)
* Enter Metamorphosis, cast Doom
* Touch of Chaos until 40 sec left
* Use Drums of Rage (will knock you out of Meta)
* Shadowbolt/Soul Fire (w/ Molten Core procs) a bit for demonic fury
(Note: I didn't risk Soul Fire unless I'd been knocked back recently)
* Use your potion again with about 25 seconds until Berserk
* Return to Meta for the rest of the fight and Touch of Chaos him to death
Other Notes:
* Interrupt Complete Heal with Observer's Optical Blast; it'll happen once or twice
* Use Unbound Will (or Every Man if you're a human) to break out of the stun immediately
* Divine Circle never caused me any trouble; I didn't even notice the damage or stacks even if I ran out very late. I'm guessing this is due to the extra healing I received from Soul Link.

After many..*weeps* ..many fails on this guy, I tried what a few people have suggested but wasn't promoted enough I thought.
Trying to down the angels one by one just takes too long, the likelihood of being killed by a star in the meantime or just not meeting the DPS requirements was just too high for me.I'm IL559 , a mage, and I found it extremely frustrating to find them one by one, kite them, and 'hoped' they hit the boss.
I've read a couple of posts and I got this guy immediately. Then wept for joy.
Gathering the adds in a group of 3, heck even 4 if you manage, and cleaving them down then running to Ahoo'ru - not on him or you will get hit by the charge - worked like a charm. I had over a minute left to kill him and laughed maniacally the whole time.
1. Stop stressing about the stars. Move through them like a dance. Remember that game 'The floor is lava'. The stars are lava. You can do this.
2. Run to a spawn star. Wait till the Angel is released and just let him follow you while you look for another star. You are playing 'catch'.
3. Gather 3. RELEASE THE FROST ORB (or appropriate cleave). Wait till they all charge. If two are charging then begin your run back to boss and dps the third. Stand a few yards away once you reach him, wink at him. Watch his shield crumble.
4. Press all the buttons. Press the buttons your mum told you not too. Don't stand in his circle death bubble. Interrupt his desperate attempts to heal.
5.Ride your mount. Everywhere.

I just beat this as an arms warrior. I tried a slightly different tactic and it worked. Instead of killing the adds one by one and then blowing my cool downs I blew m y cool downs on three adds and they took out the shield and I had TONS of time left over.
Macro:
#showtooltip Recklessness
/use Gauntlets of the Prehistoric Marauder
/cast Bloodbath
/cast Recklessness
/cast Skull Banner
/use Bottomless Potion of Brawler's Might
/cast Sweeping Strikes
/cast Heroic Strike
/cast Bladestorm
Do keep in mind, I'm a engineer.
So gather up what adds you can and then blow your 'I Win' button on three of them. They'll all charge at about the same time and you run behind the dude. They all hit the dude and you have like 1:20 seconds to DPS him down and you should still have bloodbath on for a moment or two.
I did it with about 20 seconds to spare.
Cheers!

550 Hunter
After failing so many times on that guy with bad RNG / bad strategy, being a noob, etc. Finally got him so I'll offer my point of view... 550 gear, only self-buffs / +500 stats flask / 300 agi food / pre-pot brawlers agi pot + use another on P2. I'm not sure of minimum iLvl. I'd recommend 520+...
1. If you screw up early or are too slow on P1, dismiss pet, feign and reset. Strangely enough I see lots of hunters that fail on some brawlers fights not doing that...
2. BM is by far my favorite spec overall but it did not work for me on this fight. Distract, taunt off, pet would always get aggro on one angel randomly, gotta reset then.
3. Went MM with most of the +healing talents/glyph. I tried several times to group up the angels and AOE them but that didn't work well. Single target dps angels while breaking the second, move out of the charge, dps second angel while breaking a third one, move out of charge then dps the last one. That worked for me.
4. P2 is just a burn phase, move out of those stun+circle. Also save Silence shot/counter shot for 50% when he casts a full health heal. Strangely enough, on my successful attempt he did not cast it at 5%, but by then I had intimidation lined up and he went down... Feign, MD to pet, he seems to still stick on you so I find Post-haste + running around will help you there. Avoid rocket boots IMO. I had a nearly successful attempt where I used them at 10% hp to get away from him, I got the infamous backfire leak dot that killed me...
5. I resetted the fight a LOT. Every P1 where I had bad RNG and angels spawned at the other end of the room, I resetted.
6. Persevere and take breaks from this frustrating fight. I did not count but it probably took me between 50-75 attempts.
Cheers

Acronyms
Did this today as a 554 assassination rogue. I used a 200 crit food buff and a 1000 agi flask with deadly/leeching poison.
Phase 1 is the only challenge, and it's all about staying alive. As soon as he spawns, use mutilate to get 5 combo points and dump them into recuperate. This will give you a certain degree of accident forgiveness when you bump into an orb, which is going to happen. Once you have this, move away from the boss. If you camp near him, orbs will form a ring and close in on you, forcing you to take unnecessary damage.
Touch the guardian orbs (these will be larger and easily recognizable) to summon his angels. I did each one at a time and found that to be easier, but other people like to round up all 3 and aoe them. Your mileage may vary. In either case, you'll need to dps them to 50% where they begin casting charge. You don't need a great deal of dps to do this, so I focused on health as much as possible - shiv every time on CD and refresh recuperate as needed. When the angels begin to cast charge, you have a few seconds to move away and position yourself on the other side of Ahoo'ru. If you can't find a clear path or you're low on HP, use Cloak of Shadows and just run in a straight line to where you need to be.
Once phase 2 starts, the fight is trivial. Pop your offensive CDs and go to town on him. You'll need to kick his heal cast, but you're given plenty of time to do so. His only other ability is to summon a ring of orbs around himself and you. You're going to need to run through an orb here to escape, but the damage will be manageable and if your cloak is up you can drop the debuff instantly that way. All in all, a relatively easy fight. I finished with about 40 seconds to spare on the clock, so if your gear is lower this fight should still be doable.

Just killed him on my Ret pally. I used the same method that lovex wrote about, gathering up 3 of the light adds on phase 1, pulling them to a corner (or an area without a lot of damaging orbs) and then aoe'd them down. Saving my CD's and burst for the 2nd phase.
It did take quite a few attempts mostly due to the charge bugging out and not effecting Ahoo'ru's shield. Also got into some bad situation where the adds would get stuck in the wall. I picked the 'Speed of Light' talent to sprint towards the other side of the boss when an add would begin to charge. Have to be carefull to dodge orbs while doing that. After that, the 2nd Phase is much easier to deal with. I make sure my inq is up and I wait until he uses his first ability to pop all my CD's (GoaK, AW, str-pot, exec-sentence, avenger)
I cut it pretty close on my last attempt, but I think it all comes down to how quickly you can get through his 1st phase.

Completed with a 574 BM hunter. The only important thing build-wise is to have Glyph of Misdirection, rest is optional:
- I used Spirit Bond and a spirit beast to heal up through orbs i accidentaly touched but if you feel more confident than me you can go with Iron Hawk or Exihilaration and a Core Hound
- I used barrage for more AoE damage
- I used glyph of mending for more healing on the pet
Put your pet in passive mode
As soon as the fight start, move towards the lower left corner to avoid spawning orbs and use the "move to" command to move the pet in the same position of Ahoo'ru.
When the sparkly orb spawn, cast Misdirection on your pet and move on the orb, attack it so it will go on your pet. Keep doing this until you have 3 angels, then DPS them all together.
Make sure your pet is always in the same position of Ahoo'ru (after a charge he might get knocked back a bit so you might have to reposition him) but be careful not to be in the Angels path (sometimes they continue charging even after they reached Ahoo'ru, he will still get one less stack, but the angel might hit you too). Also don't forget to Keep mend pet up and be careful not to completely kill them (which is an issue if you have an high ilvl) i suggest not to make your pet attack just to avoid the angel being killed
Since pets receive less damage from aoe, the angels charge won't instantly kill them, while they will hit Ahoo'ru removing the charges quite fast. I don't suggest to make the angels charge all at the same time, i think pets can survive 2 charges at once without dying but then they need to be healed up a bit before receiving the 3rd charge
Once phase 2 start, make your pet attack Ahoo'ru, use Misdirection again (sometimes it doesn't work so you might need to FD, make sure your pet attacked Ahoo'ru at least once before Feigning though), once your pet has aggro (growl doesn't work) the fight becomes tank and spank (and heal your pet and interrupt the "complete heal") as he will cast divince circle on the pet and not on you.
Use all your CDs! Even with my iLvl and an agi flask and 200haste food, i had to use Stampede, Dire Beast, Rapid Fire, Bestial Wrath and an agi potion to kill him before berserk time (although i must admit the 1st phase was a bit messy for me and i was about to screw things up). If you don't use a spirit beast to heal yourself you can use a core hound for Heroism (you can try to swap pet at the start of phase 2 but i'm not sure you have time for that)
Good Luck! This boss doesn't sound that hard but the timer, bad luck with orbs and some bugs (like angels not stopping at Ahoo'ru) make it a very challenging fight so don't expect to win on your 1st try even if you follow this strategy. After my first victory i tried again some months after and even though my ilvl is higher by 1 since i tried this the last time it took me 4 attempts before being able to kill him again (and i still had to use a flask and a potion)

This boss will test your patience more than your actual skill. After hours of continually wiping, I've encountered the following bugs:
After the first orb spawns, another does not spawn for upwards of 20 seconds
Angels sometimes activate halfway in the wall and evade all abilities
Multiple angels charge to Ahoo'ru, but only one shield drops
Nibbleh and Hexos may have been a little glitchy, but at least they only had one major mechanic to worry about.

as a hunter i set my pet on top of the boss in phase one so i could misdirect the angels to my pet.
when they charge they are already on top of the boss and u can worry about the next angel instead of placing them right.
phase 2 burn all your cds and use silence, scattershot and intimidation for the heals ( they came very close affter eachother)

I feel that with the exception of @Acronyms no one has really spelled this out so I wanted to make an important part of the mechanic clear:
1) the angels
have
to charge
through
Ahoo'ru to break one stack of the shield.
2) the angels charge to the point where their target was
at the end
of the four-second cast.
3) the angels charge
up to the point
their target was at at the end of that cast.
What this means concretely is that there's no need to hug the boss and that as soon as one has aligned boss between oneself and angel, one can move further out (for instance to intercept another glowing orb). It also means that one needs to make sure that one (or one's pet) is well-positioned at the end of the cast, no matter how one moved before or after, and that one
can and should
move away as soon as the angel starts charging.
edit: this also means that being not properly set up and hoping to get a stack knocked off when the angel explodes besides Ahoo'ru does
not
work!
I followed Siscokid's advice for learning P1 but at some point spirit beast and
was enough to correct the occasional mistake. At iLvl 548, I didn't have enough dps to bring down angels with downtime in between so I activated additional orbs during dpsing or when an angel charged, and started dpsing new angels while charge was cast (if I was positioned properly).
Went BM for the aggro in P2 and hit each angel with a single
杀戮命令
as opener, immediately recalling pet (which was passive). That takes a big chunk out of them but allowed me to keep aggro for proper positioning.
Didn't use drums but was in group and therefore had some buffs (notably crit and blessing of kings), and used flask (as alchemist), potion, and 300er food (and of course all my CDs).

I was fighting Ahoo'ru as a Tauren Warrior. Since my character is rather large, my spell effects are large as well. I found that I was unable to clearly see where the orbs were, and this was causing me to die in Phase 1, after only clearing 1 stack of the shield. I tried this about ten times, and decided something needed to change.
I got some Noggenfogger Elixir, changed to the skeleton, and got Ahoo'ru to 20% in that very next fight. Three tries later, he was dead.

May I just give out a note of help:
The brews from Timeless Isles ( Misty Pi'jiu Brew, Thick Pi'jiu Brew, Bubbling Pi'jiu Brew) all can be used in this fight. I suggest using Misty at the beginning due to the helpful healing factor with the added bonus of attacking the adds, then using Thick and Bubbling with your cooldowns for the second half. Just note their 10min cooldown...

I hate this game so much. I've killed him THREE TIMES, yet the game did not give me the credit for the win, because there is like 5 second delay after you kill this boss...and I have always died in the rain of fire. Its annoying as hell.

Pro tip: Pi'jie brews cannot help this fight enough. Get each of the brews, get yourself to part 2, drop all three of them down, and laugh your way to victory as they tank the boss, heal you, and damage.

Honestly, the biggest tip for this fight is to grab all three angels at the same time and dps them down together as much as possible, even if you don't do it perfectly it will buy you time to dps Ahoo'ru down before enrage.
Still annoying to grab them and avoid sparkles, but the biggest test is to get to phase 2 ASAP.

Pet used: Lust pet
Bonus "pets" used during fight: Bubbling, Misty, and Thick Pi'Jiu Brews
I didn't actually use the misdirect method - as this was just a hassle. It was easier for me to just start the encounter by running forward because there was almost always an Angel that spawned directly ahead. I'd get 1-2 spawn almost together so getting them to charge was pretty easy...
During the actual boss fight - I popped EVERYTHING right off the bat. The brews, stampede, LUST, etc... As a hunter - you get 3 interrupts which are:
Intimidation
Counter Shot
Scatter Shot
I had to use all 3 to win the fight and I beat it before the berserk timer was up...
Once you get your method down and routine - it's an easy fight. Just have to focus and pay attention to your interrupt cool downs...
The end.

Just bested him tonight after many wipes at around 20 -30 %. Then it hit me, Drums of Rage. Usable and by any class, just have a local leatherworker make one for ya. 20 charges to boot. Major difference. Poped that and my CD's plus the brawlers potion all at once and blammo, score one Mushan.

I just beat him after around 10 tries as a 561 iLvl Moonkin, the things to keep in mind are the following:
Don't hesitate to run into an orb if it gets you faster to the angels, but don't run into too many of course.
Time is key in the first phase because the quicker you're out of phase 1, the more time you have before you hit the enrage timer.
are almost a must for any non healing capable class if you don't want a perfect fight to occur. It's also advisable for any other class since it gives you 50% hp in 10 seconds. (This is awesome when you've run into too many orbs)
The brews from the ghost pandaren are a nice bonus to your dps in the second phase. There's a healing one (
), a dps one (
) and a tank one (
) .
Use of the
and the
should also be used if you want to make a decent chance at defeating Ahoo'ru.

did this as an unholy dk took me a few tries. im going to say this spec conversion go blood pressence in phase 1, get to the orbs fast with ams and keep conversion running you want to get this phase done quickly as possible. stop dmg around 50 ish percent on the angels and get in position for the charge, deaths advance helps a bit here too. final phase blow everything you got, i had to lichborne and death coil myself he hit a lot harder than i expected. dps requirement wasnt too bad as i only had about 40 seconds to kill him. this is the second char i have done this on, other was a feral druid. overall unholy was much much easier but this fight required some respecing and planning. Last boss of Rank 7. Managed to get up to him today as a 632 hunter, specced bm for all but nibbleh where I went sv, still the same mechanics from the lvl 90 version. The adds have 433k hp and Ahoo'ru himself has 1.6m hp but the big issue atm is the orbs of light that travel around hit for just under 120k (possibly unsquished?), so for most dps 2 hits and you're dead.

- I pulled Wrath (100% crit) in my victory. The 100% damage increase would have likely made it easier.
狂怒战鼓
Greater Draenic flask of your preferred stat
100 stat food
I didnt have outside player buffs but that would have also gone a long way here. In the end, I killed him just as the fire was engulfing me, and thanks to

helps if you end up touching one of the light balls. If you touch more than one, sure you'll survive, but you'll be forced to stifle your dps by using death strike to heal yourself up. Don't forget to interrupt his complete heal, use your defensives as necessary and stun him to make him ease up on the damage he does to you. The second part of the fight is easy, its all about how fast you execute the first part. Don't give up!

I'm an MM Specced iLvl 659 hunter and this fight is, quite frankly, ridiculous. If you thought Dark Summoner was bad then think again.
Even with a near perfect Phase 1 there is little to no time to beat the enrage timer in Phase 2. Even if you can pump out the DPS, good luck staying alive to do it.
Deterrence is as good as useless so no damage avoidance there. He hits hard in melee and if you kite you can as good as say goodbye to your DPS.
He is slowable/stunnable but this affords you very little breathing space.
Would love to hear from some hunters who have completed this guy in WoD because the enrage timer seems out of reach of current gear availability.

Finally got him after an hour of trying intermittently (other players queuing), as a combat rogue, ilvl 669. I did this back in MoP as assassination so this was a little new to me.
The faire isn't on right now so I couldn't use
奈姆莱克斯·艾克索贝的最后套牌
which I suspect would make this fight immensely easier in terms of dps and spawn luck required. No group buffs, but I did make use of a flask, pre-pot, food, and most critical for p2 was
狂怒战鼓
.
P1:
Basic strategy I found worked for combat was to get up 1pt SnD as he walked in and then burn killing spree immediately while trinkets are procced (with the pre-pot this gets him down to around 1.4M hp). You can fit in 1-2 more SS's before his shield goes up, then another after to hopefully be at 4-5 combos that I spend on recup to help sustain through add damage (this is the only time i could spare any combos for recuperate in this phase).
As soon as the first add spark goes out sprint to it and while sprint is still up head straight for the second add spark. Hope for good rng on the third add location and go straight for it also. Once all 3 are up, start up dps on the nearest one (save AR for p2), and as the other two get in range pop blade flurry and
evasion
, tab target as they reach you to keep their hp fairly even, and you should get at least 2 to charge at once (all 3 happened rarely for me). Get the few last hits on the remaining Avenging Angel to make him charge and you can start phase 2 with more than half your health and 50-60 seconds left on the enrage timer.
P2:
If phase 1's rng was kind, then phase 2 is pretty straightforward. If I had 45s or less I would vanish and reset the fight rather than try to complete P2, ymmv. Open RvS and SS spam energy low, turn off blade flurry, pop drums for hero, spend the first 5 combos on SnD or recuperate, depending how much you need hp.
At this point his first Divine Circle will be out, eat it or cloak it depending on your hp, then use your agi pot, and if you ate the first circle then it's a good time to prep+evasion since he'll be doing melee only for a bit. Get energy down low and pop AR, by the time it's over you'll be well into deep insight. During the AR he'll cast his first heal that you need to kick. After AR and the heal kick, you should have some deep insight and agi pot time remaining to use killing spree.
That's all cooldowns burned, he should be low though (30% or hopefully much less) with 15-20s left on the the enrage. He'll do one more divine circle, and if I'd saved my cloak I'd use it here, else I'd use the brawler health pot to sustain me through it. He also likes to do one last hail mary heal cast close to the enrage time that needs a kick. On my kill attempt I managed to drop him before this second heal cast began though.
Good luck fellow rogues!

I finally managed to kill him!
Gnome warlock 676 item level.
I choose demonology for my specc, since we need atleast 2 interupts and ALOT of burst!
Talents:
黑暗再生
,
暗影之怒
(important),
灵魂链接
,
爆燃冲刺
,
, Archimonde, demonbolt (important)
For phase 1 you need to pull 2 adds, it is really hard to control them both, but the wrathguard helps alot since he takes aggro. These adds are glowing much more than the other orbs flying around the room, cant be missed. It is REALLY important to not use any demonic fury for this phase unless you need to resummon your pet, which will happen alot. when the add starts to charge you, you need to align the charge so it hits the guy with the shield in the middle. This is a tricky part, cause you cant really rely on your jump, so you need to run in between the orbs, and still manage to align yourself, while still controlling the other adds. Make sure you make a macro for all of your pets abilites. THE PET IS A MASSIVE FACTOR KEEP IT UP!
You should now be going into phase 2 with 800-1000 demonic fury. He will immediately cast the root ability, just use your demo jump and apply doom, THEN GO STRAIGHT OUT OF FORM! It is important that you have enough fury to burst him below 30%, since we have to kill him before 2 casts of heal. After you go out of meta, pop Terrorguard and
狂怒战鼓
. When he hits 30% health, that is when you pop EVERYTHING, meta, demonsoul, pot, trinkets etc. Since we dont have a direct interupt without a controllable terrorguard, it is important that we use the
巨斧投掷
to stun him, keep in mind you can still do this without having to interupt your own cast. Now proceed to cast 4x demonbolts, and if you need, then use
暗影之怒
to interupt then 2nd cast. If you dont have enough burst to kill him before 3rd cast, then you are screwed.
If you spend to long in phase 1, you wont have enough time to kill him in phase 2, so just suicide and go again.

Having just beat Ahoo'ru in WoD, here are the main tips I can give you.
-Preparation-
1. Spend the first 4-5 attempts not trying to beat the boss. Just, explore the patterns of lights, and focus on studying them and learning how they move. 90% of this fight is knowing the light patterns by heart so you don't waste time moving around them.
There are 6 rings of lights. One small ring in each of the Four corners. And two large centered on Ahoo'ra. One of the two center rings will change in size from reaching the walls, to about halfway to Ahoo'ru. The other ring will go all the way from the walls, to Ahoo'ra, and continue to pass through the other side in a straight line.
The best place to fight the angels is about 5-10 yards from Ahoo'ra. This means the only ring which you will have to dodge is the one that crosses through Ahoo'ra (And you will be at a distance where the gap between the lights in that ring is still fairly spacious and easy to move between).
2. Strongly consider Talenting out of any ability which will significantly obscure the battlefield (Such as
破坏者
), they will probably kill you more than they help, even if they are a DPS upgrade. It also helps to get as much DoT abilities as possible. After you get as many DoTs as possible, prioritize Talents that contribute to both Single Target and AOE DPS (With preference given to Single Target)
-The Fight Itself-
3. Prepot a
迅捷药水
unless you are a class with a high runspeed ability (Such as Rogue with Sprint). It will save you more seconds than prepotting damage. You are put into combat at 1:55s until Enrage according to DBM. The potion shouldn't wear out until you've almost reached the third angel's light.
4. You can get about 2-3 attacks on Ahoo'ra before he shields. Do so.
5. As fast as you can, hit all 3 Angel Lights, and then move back to 5-10 yards from the center. This is where memorizing the light pattern is important, as whether or not you beat the enrage timer will mostly come down to how fast you activate and kill the angels.
6. AOE the Angels down, evenly, applying as many DoT spells as possible. You want them to all hit 50% HP at close to the exact same time, then run to the other side of Ahoo'ra. The DoTs should insure that all 3 Angels finish crossing 50% HP, even while you're running away. If all 3 do not charge near simultaneously, you will probably not beat the Enrage Timer, as this wastes about 5-10 seconds. It is reasonable to wipe the fight deliberately at this point to save time. (While some guides advocate killing the 3 angels one at a time, this requires extraordinarily high DPS for this early in the expansion, and may not be possible until later tiers of equipment become available)
7. If you have at least 50 seconds left when Ahoo'ra because attackable, congratulations you've won (If not, it you may just wish to wipe the fight). The second phase is laughably easy compared to the first. Be sure to bring Drums of War for Bloodlust if you don't have it yourself, and DPS as hard as possible. Save all your offensive cooldowns for this phase, and all defensive cooldowns for the enrage timer, as you will STILL probably go 3-5 seconds past the enrage timer.
8. When Enrage comes, make sure you are standing on the East Side of the Ring (For Horde. The Alliance ring may be oriented differently). The Hellfire that is used for the Enrage Timer does not hit the entire ring equally; it slowly sweeps across the ring. Being on the side farthest away from where it starts gives you an extra 5 seconds or so before you'll die. Right before the hellfire reaches you, unload every single defensive cooldown you have, and (hopefully) burn down Ahoo'ra's last 5% of HP.
Good luck.

How I did it as a 660 feral druid:
During phase one, I got the best timing with orbs going in/out by making one charge and then dpsing two at same time. Like:
Prepot same second Ahoo'ru spawns
Rake and Shred your cooldowns up to 5 combopoints. SAVE THEM
Chase down first angel; make it charge ASAP
Make the next angel spawn, rake and rip. Goal is not to make it charge
Approach second angel and dot it up the same way. Switch back to second one and make it charge
Make third angel charge
Save every DPS-cooldown for second phase and just nuke. Second potion and drums helped a lot. Good luck, died ~40 times.
Good luck!

651 2H Frost DK here. I needed
黏性手雷发射器
to get to Phase 2 quickly enough to beat the timer. Gather up three angels (apply diseases), bring them to the center, and target Ahoo'ru with the grenade instead of an angel to get the most out of it. The launcher has a short cast time that gets interrupted if you get hit, so you'll need to have some distance between you and the angels before you try to use it.
The fight is still heavy on the RNG and you will need plenty of practice to avoid damage, so expect to put some time into it. Something else no one has mentioned for DKs since WoD is that you can't stand toe-to-toe with three angels--it's too much damage. Rely on Defile, Howling Blast, and diseases to get them to 50%.
Buffs used were Horn of Winter,
德拉诺力量合剂
,
遗忘王者战鼓
, pre-pot with
拳手的无尽德拉诺力量药水
,
狂怒战鼓

I managed to get to Rank 8 as a 670 ilvl WW Monk recently. I wanted to share my insights about this fight. First off numbers: he has almost 1.6 m hp, whereas the
复仇天使
s have about 430k hp. At the risk of repeating what you might already know I'd like to say that the fight consists of two phases: first you have to break
阿霍鲁
's Divine Shield by making
复仇天使
s Charge into it. Also, during the first phase the room will be full of lights which wander around and deal approximately 120k damage upon touching them. Some ball-shaped and brighter lights will be around as well. Upon coming to melee range of these a
复仇天使
will spawn. In order to get
复仇天使
s to charge, you have to damage it down to 50%. At this point they'll start casting Charge whichever direction you're standing. The deal is that Charge will stop updating your location during the last second. So during Charge's (approximately 3 seconds) cast you move back to the boss and in the last second you move to the next
复仇天使
. If the Charge hits you, you will die. What's more even if you survive you will die to the standard 2 minute Enrage of Brawler's Guild.
After his Shield is broken,
阿霍鲁
will despawn the light globes in the room and attack you. He will use two abilities:
神圣之环
and
完全治疗
. The latter is obvious: it's a 3 second cast that will heal
阿霍鲁
to full health, resulting in a wipe. The first one roots you for two seconds and sends a circle of light globes to you which will leave a moderate DoT effect, however, if you act quick you can leave before taking any damage. His melee does tolerable, if not not negligent damage. Needless to say, save all kinds of offensive cooldowns for this phase and nuke him down quick. Also, pre-potting helps put in a few precious extra k damage. If you find the timer to be challenging, go to the left side (from entrance perspective) of the room at the end. The Rain of Fire starts from the right, this can give you about 5 seconds. On a side note,
阿霍鲁
is not immune to stuns.
If your ilvl is below 670, this fight will be a very close shave. So use whatever extra damage source you can: food, potion, flask,
狂怒战鼓
,
亢奋强化符文
.
Finally, even though I don't like class specific tips much, I'd like to mention a few. Use
被烧毁的雕文
as
轮回之触
will only be used once in this fight (if you use it on
复仇天使
s they just die, and you would have wasted 150k damage). If dodging the lights in the first phase is challenging for you, get
躯不坏
. Go for the
玄牛酒
/
屏气凝神
combo. Enter the fight with 20 stacks of
and 5 Chi. Have about 30 seconds duration left on
躯不坏
at the start, so you can use it again during the fight. Don't forget to get the
启迪
. Deliberately take damage from
神圣之环
and use
业报之触
. 100k+ damage for one GCD is worth it. One more thing, if you are having too much trouble on
黑暗召唤师
(Rank 7, 2nd fight), I would suggest that you change to Brewmaster to kill it, that's what I did, because
醉酿投
does a wondrous job of damaging both the ghosts and the boss.
I hope this will be helpful to anyone who is patient enough to read it (and scrolls down that much).

I spent more attempts on this boss than all others combined I think, so I'll add a few notes.
As an ilvl ~655 enh shaman, it seemed to go much better if I killed the angels one at a time. Trying to round all three up resulted in me taking a lot more damage, as it was harder to see and avoid the floating balls on top of spending more time taking melee hits. I would go trigger a new angel when the previous one was at ~55% since flame shock, searing totem, and goblin workshop turrets finished it off.
I saved all cooldowns except for Liquid Magma for burning down Ahoo'ru afterwards. I had an attempt where I got him to ~2%, where I killed him then died to the rain of fire, and where I won. In each of these, I had about ~50 seconds left when the shield was off.
Goblin workshop turrets seemed to make a big difference, although it could've just been practice. I also used one of the rockets from Blingtron, flask+rune+food buff. For some reason, the brawler's guild potions weren't working during most attempts - they were grayed out even if I didn't prepot. I should have used Timeless Isle stuff too, but I forgot.

You can damage him while he hasn't spawned yet ie.
光晕
Move left just before the orbs start spawning. It's quite safe.
Make sure to line up the charge until they've nearly got a full cast bar before moving.
Didn't find much advantage to sitting around the outside as it's safer but wastes time.
Phase 2
Ideally you should have close to a minute
Pop everything and nuke.
He seems to do tons of damage if you're not facing him. So make sure you're facing him

Finally did this as a BM Hunter. I had a lot of troubles with buggy mechanics, but in the end, I managed to come up with a strategy:
1. DPS the boss as much as you can but do not use your CDs just yet. I couldn't get him lower than 89%.
2. Set your pet to passive and place it in the center where the boss is.
3. Simply walk around and activate three adds and redirect them to your pet (you should have the glyph). Keep misdirection active as much as you can so that the adds don't move from the center. You can AoE a bit if you want, but do not waste your dps on adds that are already casting Charge. You will be able to dodge the orbs easily, since you should be on the sides.
4. If you do it well, the three charges will break the boss' shield and you will have plenty of time to dps him. Use your big CDs at this point (stampede, BL/Hero, agi pot)
5. IMPORTANT: At mid-fight, the boss will cast a heal. DO NOT let him cast it or you will probably wipe.
Good luck.

6.1.x.
I did it today as Protection Warrior (with Gladiator talent) item level 675.
Horrible fight, at the beginning I used some CD's that reset within a minute to hurt the boss as much as possible as he no longer heals once he's shielded (as you see others mention here).
After that simply run as fast as possible (without getting hit more than once) to a sparkling, swirling star, it'll summon an add which you should nuke down (but without using major CDs).
Once it reaches ~50% health it will charge at you, that's when you have to go behind Ahoo'ru and make sure the angel explosion hits him. You have to do this two more times, I personally didn't go for 3 adds at once as the damage taken is higher and you could spend the time you're running to the other side better by DPS-ing the one add. because timing two adds to charge at the same time is difficult.
After that it's nuking time, boss can knock you back over the ball of lights if you're lucky, but you probably want to use a heal right after you move out of the circle of balls of light. Use Drums of Fury, because your DPS has to be really high and all cooldowns (Brawler's potion, trinkets with a use effect are really useful here).
I was on the boss for 48,33 seconds in which I dealt 1630479 damage.which is 33736 DPS. I had a second or two left but to say you need atleast 32K DPS to pull this off if you have 50 seconds left seems like a good guide.
If you kill the boss while the arena exploded and you die, the kill won't count. That happened to me before I finally did get him.

If you are a warrior (similar approach should work for other dps specs as well though) and your gear is not that amazing (had 667 ilvl on kill), then here's a good way to save time on P1:
1. Spec Bladestorm, Dragon Roar
2. Do not attack Ahooru at start to save all your procs for angels
3. Proc 3 angels, do not attack them until all are stacked near you
4. Dragon Roar, Bladestorm, then cleave with Raging Blow and all 3 should start charging
5. Run a small but generous circle around Ahooru (just close enough so the angels hit his shield, but without dying when they blow up)
6. If all goes well you'll now have saved alot of time in P1

I did this as a Paladin Retribution today. it is quite hard but doable if you get the right time done.
do not push any cooldowns when taking down the angels. and as always position yourself to the boss after they go down too 50% when its done 3 times the shield goes down, you need to hurry and pick as soon as possible next angel.
on phase 2 push all you got of cooldowns even flask from vendor is quite the boost and kill him before the stage kills you on enrage timer. you get some time before the explosion of death occurs you so do not loose hope.
I manage to kill the boss even after the enrage timer went off. I guess I was lucky some few seconds and I would been dead.
if you are a paladin, divine shield seems to not work on the stars atleast i got damaged even with the shield... so use the lay of hands if you either got too much damage on the star phase and try to instant heal you the second phase in some way. ahooru also stun able.
also I think Sanctified Wrath or Holy Avenger is better then Divine purpose (even with blackhand tier 17 4th set bonus)

Just killed him as a 693 ilvl Ret without set bonuses. The key is to try and DPS at least two angels at the same time in P1. You need to get out of phase 1 as soon as possible. There will be a lot of luck involved, for example, angel spheres can spawn at the same place so you can start DPSing two at the same time, as well as DP procs and crits of course.

Just did it as 698ilvl Frost 2h DK.
I was stuck at 35% before patch 1(ilvl66x).
Now it was easier but barely made it in time hehe.
Just get inside, run to middle and nuke boss when he spawns. You can take about 10% of his HP.
After that I took adds 1 by 1, its already messy that way :p.
On last phase just burn him down ASAP.
I used Empowered Rune Weapon glyph (heals 30% hp) And Death Pact.

Fury Warrior WoD
I finally did this fight as a 694. I know how painful it is as a warrior, especially since there aren't many guides out. I hope this helps.
Glyphs:
Unending Rage, Rallying Cry, Rude Interruption
Necessary items:
Brawler's Bottomless Draenic Strength Potion, Drums of Fury
Talents:
Second Wind, Sudden Death, Storm Bolt, Bladestorm, Anger Management
Buff groups help GREATLY
Phase 1
: Charge Ahoo'ru, and use the strongest attacks you can. DO NOT POP CDs. Execute if you can. After his shield comes on, find the nearest angel and immediately begin killing it. Try to get 2 angels together and bladestorm them down, and it'll make the fight SO much quicker. If you're having a problem seeing the painful orbs, turn up your particle density. Make sure you remember that the angels will ONLY go to the spot you were standing in when they started charge, so if you don't make it with Ahoo'ru, you wasted an angel. Knock down his shield and phase 2 starts.
Phase 2
: Immediately run out of divine circle, pop Berserker Rage, Recklessness, your potion, and the drums. It helps to have these on a macro. It also helps to have entered into the battle with an augment rune and an elixir. Burn him down as quickly as possible. Continue quickly running out of the circle, and make sure you pummel his complete heal as fast as you can or he'll heal to full and it'll have been a waste of time. With the right amount of DPS, he'll go down.
Good luck, and congratulations on Rank 8 and your new mount and heirloom!

Frost Mage 695
Mirror Images, Comet Storm, +50 Int from the Rune, no extra buffs (just + crit%) or food, healing potions from the local vendor
- At start stay right on the boss to avoid a random light spawn.
- Kill the guardians one by one. As soon as you see the first spark rush toward carefully, touch and get in the nearest corner (it's a light-free tiny spots), DPS down to Charge and blink to the middle. Make sure to be as close as possible to the boss (The guardian follows you to the mid). I use Comet Storm, Ice Nova and Frozen Orb to DPS them as fast as possible.
- As soon as the boss has been activated, rush out of the circle and use all your damage spells and Mirror Images. Make sure to build Deep Freeze to use for heal interruption.
- The fight requires a lot of practice. Keep going, overall it's not s horrible as you can imagine:)

As of 6.2.0, I'm still having problems with angels falling through the floor (Alliance). Does Horde have this problem too, or is just the bad design of the Alliance arena? It's getting real frustrating seeing the angels drop through the grates in the floor. :/

Just beat him for the first time as a 692 BM hunter - the trick seems to be using the 'move to' command to put your pet on Ahoo'ru as soon as he becomes immune and making sure the pet keeps aggro on the angels when they're about to charge.
I used a spirit beast for the heals, plus Glyph of Misdirection, Animal Bond and Mending. Being able to spam Misdirection onto your pet definitely helps here, as does a good deal of luck in where the lights spawn. It goes faster if you can manage to get three angels up at once - but the biggest problem is dodging the sparks.
Save all cooldowns for phase 2 as you need to burn him fast before the enrage. If the enrage rain of fire kills you, you won't get credit even if he dies first.
Good luck to those still to get him!

Ok as a 689 BM hunter i managed to do it and here is my strat.
Move your pet right next to the boss and put it on passive so it doesnt run off when you md the adds to him.
Run towards the angel sparks and when the angels spawn MD them to your pet and nuke the angels by the boss while dodging the sparks. You can stand in the corner so it helps dodging the sparks. Your petless dps is enough to get the angels to remove his shield so just keep your pet by the boss.
When the boss loses his protection take your pet off passive and nuke use drums, stampede, agi pots etc and for the love of god counter shot his heal or its game over.
I did it with about 10 secs to spare

686 Fury Warr and still going for it. I've tried both strategies of one angel at a time, two at a time, and three at a time. I only managed to get him to phase two doing one angel at a time, but that only left me with 40 seconds left and I couldn't make it.
Although I managed to get him to phase 2 at almost a minute, but of course Fury RNG decided that bloodthirst shouldn't crit for the next couple of minutes because RNG is an unmerciful sadist.

just completed the event as an ilvl 690 BM hunter.
spec: posthaste, binding shot, spirit bond, thrill of the hunt, stampede, glaive toss, exotic munitions (poison ammo)
glyph: glyph of mending, animal bond, misdirect
pet: wolf (ferocity)
I first tried the tactic to place the pet in the middle and MD the angels but i didn't killed the angels fast enough this way.
The tactic i used was to nuke the angels together with my pet and when the angel was almost gonna charge i placed the pet on the boss. when the first angel was charging i was already running towards the next one.
after the first phase i used my burst together with drums and brawler's agility potion.
Hope it helps

(Pit walls are blocking the view)
1)

so when you melee then you die
2)
Pit walls vs camera angles
: When near a wall the view point changes in a way that you lose track of orbs and the wall now blocks the view
3)
Horns
on the walls block the view.
4)The

5)Own

AVERAGE GEARED SHADOW PRIESTS READ THIS
I registered to add a comment to this as I felt that shadowpriests had a really rough draw out there in this fight.
I had a dps gear of 686 when I completed this, after 50+ wipes on it. It was only when I paid strong attention to my method that I managed to do it. This will be the build, relevant items and the method I took (following a guide on the us forums). I'm not a serious player. Well intentioned sure, but no raiding guild. PUG everything and dont take the game that seriously, so no mods except recount.
My target dummy dps against a boss, unbuffed, was around 14k. 15 if i got it spot on with some nice procs in there, and 13 if I didn't (also no 20% execute range SW:D spam.
I killed the boss in what I imagine would be a couple of seconds before
I had no weapon or item gems or enchants, and no activate for + damage trinkets, but they did have procs.
Glyphs
Mind harvest - It's controversial but my reasoning is as follows. If your dps is low for this fight, you need to make up for it on the aoe phase. This is an insane buff to your aoe. A lot of people recommend not taking it. But from a numerical perspective, that you are losing is the 6 seconds of cooldown on your mind blast (9 seconds to 15). Assuming you have a 60 second phase 1 and phase 2. you are going to get 6 mindblasts in there, usually, and now you'll get 4 in instead. Counting shadow orbs for full disclosure. 6 unglyphed mindblasts will generate 6 orbs, and 4 glyphed ones will generate 6 (if not more - see explanation later), so your dps loss on p2 is only 2 mind blasts - 1.5 mind spike damage). I actually believe this is a DPS increase for our phase 2. (mandatory)
Glyph of silence. Also mandatory. He will get a second heal off. You need to be ready for it and it's faster.
Glyph of Reflective shield. All damage helps, it will be up almost all the time in this fight.
Talents
Angelic Bulwark (recommended) - Smaller heal than Desperate prayer but doesnt take a GCD so more dps.
Cascade (mandatory) best aoe in situation.
Body and soul (mandatory) on demand speed boost
Insanity (mandatory) for the AOE in p1
COP (mandatory) for damage in this method
Power infusion (mandatory) because casting speed is fun
Psychic Scream (just in case of interrupt, not even sure if it works- but didn't use).
Prebuffs.
I had the mage INT buff, which was a MASSIVE increase do my damage. I had tried with the full set of buffs, (kings and some other stuff) which did help, but my final success was only with the mage buff). A shaman was present but I tihnk the grace of air buff goes when you're in the ring.
Brawler's Intellect potion.
Flask of Draenic Intellect.
Drums of Fury
Settings
Have target as %.
Set up
So queue, up and when you get the alert you're next, remove all distractions as you need to focus like hell. The only buttons you will need are P1: (feel free to bind these to 2 separate task bars).
Mindflay, PW:S, Dispersion, Mind Sear, Devouring Plague, Cascade , Mind Spike
P2: Mind Spike, Devouring plague, mindflay, PW:S, SW:D, Shadow fiend, Power Infusion, Silence, Drums of Fury, Brawlers intellect potion. Vampiric Embrace
I could still do this prefight routine with my eyes shut. While waiting to port in, look around for an angry spectator to get some shadow orbs on (VERY Helpful if you do - but this guide is assuming you didnt) have yourself selected, and enable the stopclock and have it near your prayer of mending button).
As soon as you teleport in:
1) Cast prayer of mending -
2) While it's casting, start the stop clock.
3) Prepotting (so the CD starts out of combat) on the brawlers intellect potion.
4) Shadowform, and be ready to cast mind sear as soon as he appears.
5) Mind sear X4 and move closer towards him, do NOT shield up. (i will discuss mind blasting here later on).
You want to be as close to him as possible so you have the minimum expected distance to travel when the angel orbs are made.
Run towards the first orb, making sure you can see him when you tag it, as it will make the second one as soon as you do and if you aren't looking it can be hard to see). Hit the first angel with a mind blast only, (3 shadow points)
Then shield up and disperse at the last possible moment without compromising travel time, and run straight towards it, through any orbs (your prayer of mending and shield will take care of all damage incurred in this way).
Grab the 3rd one as well before you start dpsing, and you first target angel should be the middle one of their group, so your aoe hits all.
Use devouring plague and then mind blast again if it's off CD, otherwise go straight to the Mind Sear (insanity version). Try not to move a lot in this phase. Don't eat orbs, but only move a fraction to dodge them and just get some more damage in on this channel. Use Shields liberally.
Mind Blast will be up again if it wasn't earlier. Dev plague the highest HP angel, and get as muhc as you can out of your insanity mind sear again.
Relocate MUCH nearer the boss, with shield if its up. and hit a cascade while you're running. Find the 3rd angel (on highest HP) mind blast dev plague and insanity mind sear again. This should have them all at or below 50% and will start to charge. 1 may be on 54% or so, and just use a mindflay or mind spike to get that one down.
Once the 3rd charge is down, if you have 45 seconds left of the 2 minutes on the clock, go for it, (see how close you get, but burn all CD's to get there).
Hit the drums of fury, and use dev plague/mind blast on him, and after you've jumped out of the first divine circle he casts, unload all your cds (it's an amazing feeling). shield up, power infusion, brawlers int pot. Shadowfiend vampiric embrace and unleash hell on that bastard.
Rotation
Casting priority, Mind spike is filler spam (and on crazy cast time).
PW:S as soon as its up.,
Mind blast whenever its off CD.
Dev Plague whenever you have the orbs for it.
Insanity mind flay afterwards, (you can sneak 2 in if you arent interrupted)
FOR THE MOTHER OF GOD MAKE SURE YOU SILENCE HIS HEAL.
once he gets to 20% you can introduce SW:D into the rotation. Given how your casting becomes a lot more instant, i burned all the CD's earlier to make the most of the haste benefits.
Best of luck to you. It's so satisfying when you make it, so persevere and enjoy the claws.
Discussion about Mind blasting in the initial phase.
If you've managed to blast a spectator before hand for 3-5 shadow orbs then definitely not worth it. It does give you 3 shadow orbs at the start so you dont need to blast the first angel (but then your CD is ticking anyway). I think mathematically it does add more damage to do to the fight, BUT if you're reading this you're probably struggling to get it done and will need a little luck on your side, namely angel spawns. If the angels spawn close to you then you wont have it up in time optimal CD rotation (you'd want to mindblast the 3rd angel to get your shadow orbs from it), so I didnt do it, but I can see why you would want to (would be buffed by the int. pot too).

Do you guys read the comments before posting? If you did, you would realize that you are posting the 50th hunter strategy, thus pushing other class strategies further and further down. Stop it.

WoD version of this - same old strategy.
However, it was tuned for people in beginning tier (highmaul), rather than for bare minimum ToT gear and preferably better.
Now that 6.2 is out, the dps requirement is mostly trivial if you have even full normal mode raid gear (700 or so). The problem is execution, if you hit 1 light in phase 1 you'll be okay, but 2 is pushing it and 3 is almost certainly a wipe, assuming you're on a class with limited self healing
- however, if you put on leech gear, this becomes much less of a problem and you can easily survive setting off 3 lights. A good item to use if you have it is from
终极末日印记
Kazzak , otherwise you can hopefully get 2-3 pieces of at least highmaul level leech gear to maintain decent leech without losing too much damage. I'd wiped on this guy half a dozen times on a 710 hunter, had 2 very close attempts, and putting on that trinket was enough to cover for my errors in phase 1.

The next day I came down, pot prepped and ready to rumble! I queued up as someone else was in the middle of their fight and then bam, the acheivement popped on my screen, i hit rank 8 and got the purse. Didn't even enter the arena!
This also happened when I tried to queue for Blingtron and someone else was in a fight with the Raven. We both got entered and both bosses spawned.

Completed as an assasination rogue 697.
For me the most tricky part is definitely the first phase as you need...
1) Luck
: Circles may move really tricky
2) Precision of Movement
: You need to be super careful not to run into stuff while you're slitting your daggers in those angels + sometimes the hitboxes/models of you and light thingiesdon't match, ie you get damaged when you don't expect it or stay unharmed when you expect to be damaged.
3) (most important) Awareness+Positioning
: You need to make sure they charge properly. Keep an eye out on other angels and try to position yourself close enough for the next angel. Sometimes, it may be worthwile to tag another angel. It's better to take dmg from another angel for a few seconds rather than fight one, run across for charge, run back for re-tag.
Tips:
Save all cooldowns for p2
Try to save combo points on new targets when you can. You need all the damage you can get w/o cooldowns when an angel is in a tricky location full of lights
Definitely open up on the boss right away, get your combos up. Assess the light locations with the first angel and use them for recup or dmg
He is stunnable in 2nd phase (well... I didn't know this when I beat him but saw this here in the comments :D)
If it's getting you multiple attempts, know your damage limit. For me, starting 3rd angel around berserk notice was the criteria. If I did it much later, I wouldn't have enough dps probably. If I did it earlier, I would have all the time.
Arena positional awareness! Know where the berserk fires start from and fight 2nd phase on the other edge, few seconds you lose on angels can be saved by surviving there! (I usually check the brawlers on either edge, like "ok, I need to be close to the troll" or "I need to face the robed orc")
Congrats! You have completed Brawl'gar Arena with one of the more challenging classes!

This fight sucked, took me a few tries and "some" frustration.
(6.2.3 or whatever patch this is, WoD) Final fight of rank 8. Final fight of Fight Club ^^
I Kept my cam view directly above me to see where the "angels" spawn and to avoid the stars as best i could.
(You can see he cast a spell/beam to one of the stars so you know where to run to spawn the angels)
I gathered 3 angels before dpsing them instead of 1 by 1, and tried to get them down as equal as possible to save time.
Get them to charge through him (do not stand in middle/on him, and keep some distance so you dont get knockback from the angels charge).
After 3 angels charge through him and removes his shield phase 2 start, from there on pop all your CDs and burst to beat the enrage.
This fight is not fun. Had him to like 3% a few times before i finally beat him.
Good luck! :)

Fellow Warlocks who are struggling with this guy. Here's how I did it:
Spec into Grimoire of Sacrifice, Kil'Jaeden's Cunning and Charred Remains.
Be sure to Glyph Havoc.
Sacrifice a fel puppy so you have an interrupt for that heal..
Drop your Demon circle teleport in the middle of the Arena where Ahoo'ru will be standing. This allows for smooth kiting of the Angel charge.
When he spawns you have time to cast 1 Incinerate and your 2 conflagrate charges.
Pull the first 2 angels before anything else, throw Havoc on 1 of them and burn them down with 2 Chaos Bolts. You should have barely enough embers for this.
Use your demon circle to charge them into Ahoo'ru and pull the third. Use this last *!@#$%^ to bring up your Embers for P2 and charge him into Ahoo'ru too.
Next comes P2. Burn everything. Your ring, your potions, your doom guard and Drums of Fury and blast him with so much fell fire he'll either give up or die trying to.
Don't forget to save up your embers a little bit for the final 20% which you can easily Shadowburn.
Pro tip: Use Kil'Jaeden's cunning to avoid the lights.

.
THEN run the %^&* away

It will target the position you were at when it finished casting and if you're not at

It's a simple misunderstanding on what "run to

As a pvp resto druid, I specced feral rather than balance for the bleeds.
Buffs/Glyph
Warlock, DK, Priest buff (they were in the brawlers area at the time)
Draenic Agility Flask
Fat Sleeper Cakes (75 Mastery) to increase bleed dmg
Noggenfogger Elixir to make me smaller and avoid lights better
Glyph of Savage Roar
Talents
: Feline Swift/Ysera/Faerie/Incarnation/Lunar Insp
Gear
Full S3 resto gear(auto changes to agi stat cept accessories) worked for all the bosses but this one. Ran some BGs to get blue feral staff, neck, rings, and +355 mastery trinket. Didn't have to replace the +875 versatility trinket. Got the rings with crit/mastery, crit/multistrike
Burst All-In-One-Macro
/cast Berserk
/use Brawler's Bottomless Draenic Agility Potion
/cast Berserking (if troll)
/use Wild Gladiator's Badge of Adaptation
** put all this in one macro and keybind it!
Strat
Set your camera so that you're looking from above down to the arena so you can see where you're going. Place yourself where he spawns as soon as you get in the arena and get 5 combo pts till he spawns first angel light. Run to angel light and Rip. It's important that all you do is give it a 5 combo rip. No time to attack it more then that. As soon as you rip move on to next angel. Use moonfire to build up combo pts while avoiding lights and out of range of angels (lunar inspiration talent). When angels yell For the light! position yourself so the angel runs through the boss then avoid getting hit. If you can't see the lights very well, turn up graphics. Also keybind Rejuv so you can throw up heals on yourself if you run into lights on accident. Don't give up and lose your head if you get low. Have Brawler's healing tonic on hand and throw up rejuvs while moving to the next angel.
As soon as you hit phase 2, pop Incarnation and the Berserk macro. Don't forget to use Tiger's Fury whenever you're energy starved. Rake, moonfire, shred, rip. Ferocious Bite if rip is still up. If you don't have enough time, you need to practice getting through phase 1 faster. Should be ok on time if the only thing you do is throw up a 5pt Rip on each angel before moving to the next angel. Don't forget to keybind Skull Bash to interrupt his heal. I had Skull Bash on F, Rejuv on G, Berserk macro on B, moonfire Q, Tiger's Fury E. Put left and right straif on A and D.
Might not be the best way to play feral, but as someone who plays resto 99% of the time, this is what worked for me. Hope this helps.

right in front of Ahoo'ru when he spawns, you will actually launch him back to the wall. I think I tried putting the trap down closer to the middle and he was immune to the knockback, but I don't remember. It is also just useful in phase 2.
As a MM Hunter at 700ilvl with S3 PvP gear, was able to get him down to 75% before the light phase fairly regularly.

This guy is crazy hard, due to bugs and bad design choices by Blizzard. Unfortunately for you, there have been no fixes and no interest to make this fight "fair" in any way
- Angels will span in a wall (that's a wipe)
- Angels will span underground (that's a wipe)
- Angels will charge the boss, go through him, and sometimes it doesn't count (that's a wipe)
- Angels may spawn at kitty-corners of the map (that's a wipe)
So basically this one is about doing it a doze, hundred, or whatever, until you have about 5 lucky breaks in a row. Then you better have saved your CDs for the boss - and if you're playing a class without an interrupt, well Blizzard never intended you to finish brawler's guild... you have to re-roll.

MM hunter WoD win; massive fail on: aff lock, demo lock, BM hunt, Surv hunt, ret pal
First and foremost, let me state I don't have the skill to do this fight. The number of light objects hits me like a deer in headlights and I can't see squat. As I run around my camera screws me up and even the helicopter caused me several wipes; I also don't raid at all and just wanted the BoA fist... so I kept on this. Took me easily 60 tries to get done on the MM hunt and too many fails on the other toons and specs I tried.
Here is what I did and it worked - including some close losses like a 1% and an actual kill/timer fireball death/curse out blizzard moment. This strat might help others who are equally unskilled.
MM hunt is the only spec I even had a shot on. Tried other toons and other specs and it was just not going to happen... not in a million years. Only mm hunt had the ability to waltz into stage 2 with 30% hp and have the burst ability to finish it. Aff lock is my best toon, but there isn't enough in the timer for that spec to win this... This fight is specifically anti-DoT.
ilevel: 704 all pvp gear
Spec: Narrow Escape, Intimidation, Exhilaration, Dire Beast, AMOC, Barrage, Exotic mut (with poison)
Glyph: snake trap, chim shot/heal, deterrence
Buffs: felmouth frenzy (fish for it if you don't have it), drums of forgotten kings, draenic 200 agi flask
Note: the old Timeless Isle tricks no longer work and I didn't have the patience to wait for the correct gnomish workship turrets to pop
STAGE 1:
NO PET - I macro summon him start of phase 2
On open, chim shot/aimed/steady to get Ahoo'ru to 85%
Grab first angel and put AMOC, Dire Beast, snake trap and explosive trap NOTE: I added "/tar Avenging Angel" to my macro for chim/dire beast/AMOC so I don't have to click on him
Then run to second angel and get third - if you cannot get the next 2 quickly, just start over (this is the most important part - you have to combine 2 and 3 or you run out of time)
Do not get hit more than twice by lights (else start over)
The first guy will charge soon, so get that done and make sure he hits center boss; then burst the other two down with barrage, snake trap, chim shot and line them up too
you also must learn to be patient with the charge, move away just in time and you don't have to go far (tricky though)
NOTE: Use your brawlers health pot and Exhilaration in this stage as needed, it doesn't matter if you have low HP for stage 2, but you must get there fast
NOTE: Save your largest and most powerful cooldowns for stage 2 (brawler's agi flask, rapid fire and make sure you reserve an AMOC for the start of stage 2 - I just cast it on the first angel and try not to again)
STAGE 2:
immediately summon tank pet (actually summon just before last angel finishes his charge), deterrence, walk through just 1 orb, then feign death; your pet will take aggro; then pop up and misdirect unload like crazy - everything;
(I added this to my big shot items to make sure i don't forget: "/cast Misdirection" ) so I can hit the big guy right off the top and still not get aggro
this is where you use the brawler's agi flask, your engineering rocket, rapid fire, dire beast, AMOC, snake trap, explosive trap - and steady shot twice to get focus and keep unloading; it will be close
When he hollers you MUST interrupt his heal (at 50% and again at 5%); other good news - his second sphere thing goes on your pet - you can happily just keep bursting without aggro or worrying about the second ring of bubbles
He died as the rain of fire started for me - that's how close this fight is.
And luck was in the air - because there are a million bad luck breaks from bugs to missed charges, to the silly light mess, etc. if you don't have dire beast or snakes out, you can feign and start over (handy). Winning this fight requires that I got lucky multiple times... that's why it took me so many tries for the perfect run. Now I can never return to brawler's (I actually enjoyed every fight except this one, which I found miserable) and enjoy my new BoA fists... bring on Legion!

How I did this as a Beast Master Hunter
1. Move your pet to where he stands in centre. and leave it there.
2. Grab all 3 orbs fast as you can(if you're set to low particle density, you might want to move up to good)
3. Misdirect Avenging Angels to your pet and nuke, stop when you see the charge warnings
If done correctly, all 3 shields should be down and ready for nuking, blow cooldowns and make sure you interrupt the heal.
It took me a few tries, but I got it down this way

Curses be upon Ahoo'ru (and whoever designed this encounter).
If the Avenging Angel lights and the lights on your route on the field are in the wrong place, you spend so much time running around and dodging that you spend too much time on the first phase.
Winning this encounter is simply a matter of luck.
*mumble*, *grumble*
If another minute were to be added to this encounter it might even become easy.

I don't understand what the problem is for people. I went into the first one blind. Came here read that I had to get the light to get the Angels to spawn and have them charge thru him. I had in down in 2 minutes on the second fight. Easy Pizzi! Bellacollera - Undead DK - Burning Blade

Glowing Honeycomb which drops from bee hives in Shadowmoon Valley is recommended for this. This item can be used 5 times each fight and gives you an instant heal which makes phase 1 much easier.

Took me 3 tries as a fury warrior @ ilvl 714.
1st : Forgot the light stars do damage so I switched to Enraged Regeneration.
2st : Forgot he heals so I didn't interrupt.
3rd : Got it just right.

I cannot beat this bastard, I do all things right but dps itself cant make it. I can only get him half way down by the time the enrage pops.. tried both as fury and prot with gladiator stance same deal... using brawlers pot :/

For those that want to kill every boss before they gone in the legion pre-patch and, like me, want to know if is needed to folow any tacticts to kill this boss: as elemental shaman 738 drop Storm Elemental Totem at the start to help heal you and damage the 3 adds you need, get the 3 adds asap with ghost wolf and keep Stone Bulwark Totem up. chain light the adds, drop the insta earthquake on them, run behind the boss when charge is about to get cast (dbm will let you know). When boss loses the 3 charge shield, nuke him and interrupt his heal.
Used Primal Fire Elemental with glyph so it is up every fight,
拳手的德拉诺智慧药水
, Ring, Ascendence, Elemental Mastery and Spiritwalker's Grace (in case you really need to move)
Hope this could save time to someone!

Some tips that may help:
-Keep camera at max zoom and place it looking down or at a high angle so you see the battleground more like an rts. You will see the layout of sparklies this way and will not feel so cluttered which may help reduce the feeling of constriction so you can breath easier in this fight.
-Before fight starts, stand behind where he spawns with your back to the wall. You arr not very likely to have a star spawn on you here when the fight starts.
-Corners are generally safe places to fight an angel till the hp drops (you will still have to move a bit), then when charge starts, just sit on Ahoo'ru for a moment.
-If charge keeps missing, please note: CHARGE LANDS AT THE LOCATION YOU HAD WHEN IT FINISHES CASTING COMPLETELY. Be still unil it completes casting, then move away immediately to avoid the damage.
-If you have good survivability, take on more than one angel to switch phases more quickly. Every second counts. However if you find yourself constantly stopping to heal, do nit overdo it.
-For phase 2, do not stand in the circles of summoned orbs. Displacer beast, blink, and heroic leap all move you out without taking damage. Shadowstep works too mostly.
-Save trinkets and procs for this phase so you can burn the hell out of him like crazy.
-MAKE SURE YOU INTERRUPT HIS HEAL.
Those are the things I kept in mind. Proved very helpful for me. I killed him with a feral@ilvl704 using a flask, my own buffs, and the brawler potion. Good luck!

Ret Paladins, do not despair, this
is
possible!
After many failed attempts, I gathered up my 5
Glowing Honeycombs
, re-talented, re-glyphed, buffed up and got it done.
715 ilvl Ret paladin using
Long Arm of the Law
(good for maneuvering as you'll never use Speed of Light in this fight)
I never used it, but I had
Fist of Justice
Hand of Purity
(damage reduction every 30 seconds)
Sanctified Wrath
Holy Prism
(one more ranged attack, plus small self-heal)
Empowered Seals
Glyph of Templar's Verdict
(damage reduction)
Glyph of Avenging Wrath
I forgot to swap my trinket out for
Mark of Supreme Doom
as suggested in another post, but I still managed on my third try with this setup, killing the angels one at a time rather than all at once, and kept them near the edges where fewer stars were moving for less damage.
Keep an eye on your health and don't spare the honeycombs!

Beat him today as an ilvl 702 assassination rogue. The most important thing to do in this fight for a rogue is to make a macro targeting Ahoo'ru and then using shadowstep. This will make your life a thousand times easier when the avenging angels get ready to charge. Save all your cooldowns, like vendetta, shadow reflection and the legendary ring if you have it for the second phase (I'd recommend drums too), and have these all bound to a single macro, as well.
Also, don't be afraid to use your combo points for recuperate if you need to, and do what you need to do to gain extra survivability. On my successful attempt I subbed out one of my trinkets for the much-maligned Mark of Supreme Doom, thinking the speed and leech might be a lifesaver, and maybe it made the difference.

For those of you trying to round out your achievements at the end of the expansion and happen to have made it to at least heroic HFC, you can get to this point fairly quickly as you overgear the fights in a big way. But once you get here it can be like hitting a brick wall.
So I blazed through the first 31 opponents as an iLevel 729 Gladiator until I hit this guy. Three tries -- and while I got close to phase 3, I didn't make it, and I was having a lot of trouble avoiding all the pretty lights.
A drastic change in tactics was in order.
So realizing I had dps to spare and that this is far more of a survival test than a dps test at my iLevel, I switched to Defensive stance and one-shot him. I didn't have to spend all my time and effort avoiding the lights (I hit/got hit by at least five or six in addition to the angels), and when it got down to the final phase, despite being at 25 percent health (the lights still hurt), Ahoo'ru couldn't really hurt me. I interrupted the heal and it was over. I don't think walking through his Divine Circle twice even scratched me.
So for those of you that have a tanking option, take him on in that.

Fellow Beastmaster Hunters! I have some advice.
More experienced hunters will probably already know this, but I am a total noob and I was just trying to get this Spacegoat killed before Legion hits us. I couldn't crank out enough DPS to kill him at first but I did 2 things to help me out.
1. Ashran -- yeah "Ewwww Ashran!" some might be saying. Really though it is quick and easy honor points. Try to find a time when your team has a good Lead of the Raid and when the enemy faction is "sleeping". Buy the Mastery/Haste gear that is better than your current slots, buy one of the weapons, and get the
Agility and Mastery trinkets.
This should (usually) take 2-5 hours. Easy stuff.
2. When phase 2 begins your pet will likely go stupid. Even if you attack Spacegoat, your pet will probably just stand where you told it to be for that final kite. If you want to micro slightly less and if you don't already have this: make a macro to make your pet attack your target when you cast something that you are saving for the boss. I was saving
Stampede
.
It looks like this:
#showtooltip Stampede
/petattack
/cast Stampede
This will make your pet attack your target and it casts Stampede on said target. If you use Stampede, make sure all your pets use Ferocity. It also display's the Cooldown of Stampede if cooldown numbers are enabled, and shows the tooltip for Stampede on the icon.
3.
Turn Growl on
. Make your pet focus the first angel you grab and begin following the 2nd angel spawner. Spawn the second angel and pop Bestial wrath. I popped Barrage here, but this can cause the 2nd angel to follow you. Burn the first angel, and then when he starts to charge order your pet to stack on top of the Paladin. Swap to the second angel and make the pet kite him back too. Do not use bestial wrath again until the boss. Save your Focus Fire stacks for the boss as well. Get the third angel as fast as you can with some Cobra shots, arcanes, and kill commands.
When Phase 2 began I used Stampede and then popped my Brawler's pot, Bestial Wrath, the Focus Fire stacks. Then I used Barrage and then began alternating between Arcane Shots and Kill Commands when possible.
Watch for 4 things after that:
-The availability of Kill Shot. This is
very
vital.
-Applies to any class: The rage timer fire. It wont kill you
immediately
, but make sure you are at least fighting in the middle of the arena so that you can see where it is and avoid the initial damage. The last few seconds before the curtain falls on you are vital.
-The paladin's interruptible full heal. Whether or not you stop this will make or break the whole fight.
-The paladin's orbs. Just disengage and you wont take much damage.
GL getting him before Legion.

For those quickly wanting to get the mount before it goes away in Legion.
Had a pretty easy time as a 710 Elemental Shammy and used a good trick to finally beat Ahoo'ru
Glyphs: Shamanistic Resolve, Lightning Shield, Flame Shock
Talents: Astral Shift, Echo of the Elements, Primal Elementalist, Storm Elemental Totem
Get in a corner, and once the lights spawn use the macro below, click it twice and get a 20% damage reduction for the 1st minute, this helps and should be long enough to be able to drop Storm Elemental Totem later on when you'll need some heals.
#showtooltip Earth Elemental Totem(Earth Totem)
/cast Earth Elemental Totem(Earth Totem)
/cast Reinforce
Carefully avoid the lights in Ghost Wolf form, pick up the three angels (the tighter together the better) don't worry about attacking the angels as you want their health to be the same, just spawn them as quickly as possible. Thunderstorm Ahoo'ru against the wall out of the way of the lights,
Get up against the wall behind him and Chain Lightning, Earthquake, Chain Lightning, Earthquake, etc, the angels. You should have dropped Healing Stream Totem and probably need to do a Healing Surge or two. You should still have Reinforce on you.
All three Angels are going to charge very close together hopefully, as you only have a small window. Just before the first charge use this macro:
#showtooltip Shamanistic Rage
/cast Astral Shift
/cast Shamanistic Rage
/use Healing Tonic
This will give you (with glyphed Shamanistic Resolve) 100% damage reduction for 6 seconds, and a further 60% for 9 seconds after that. They will all hit Ahoo'ru, but you are up against the wall and immune. Use this time to Healing Surge any last remaining health you need or to put distance between you and Ahoo'ru
Burn him down and don't forget to Wind Shear his heal:
#showtooltip Ascendance
/use 11
/cast Spiritwalker's Grace
/cast Ascendance
/cast Storm Elemental Totem
/cast Heroism
/use Brawler's Bottomless Draenic Intellect Potion
Note you'll incur some big cool-downs to be able to do it all again so some test runs are recommended.
Good Luck, hope it helps.

I am only 712 ilvl, but I just today managed to down him with 31sec left until enrage, so its possible with even much lower geared levels. Hopefully what I learned may be of use to some other hunters - here it is in a nutshell:
Marksman and Survival didn't work for me, there was way too much moving around and I suck at that; so I finally went beast mastery.
I used a Spirit Beast (for the heal) with Ferocity Spec -- I also used the Glyph of Stamped so all my pets during stamped were also ferocity spec.
I used the glyph of misdirect so that there was no cool-down on misdirect to my pet. I also used the glyphs of Animal Bond and Mending.
I re-enchanted and re-gemmed
all my gear to mastery
.
My relevant talents were:
Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, Exhilaration, Steady Focus, Stamped, Barrage, & Adaptation.
My consumables were:
agility pots (didn't use the brawl pots because normal ones are cheap and I didn't want to change my macros), agility flasks, Felmouth Frenzy food, Drums of Fury (for hero), and the Glowing Honeycomb (for five heals).
I used three Macros:
Burst Macro (save for phase two):
#showtooltip Stampede
/use Maalus, the Blood Drinker
/use Draenic Agility Potion
/use drums of fury
/cast Stampede
/cast bestial wrath
/cast focus fire
/script UIErrorsFrame:Clear()
"Oh *!@#" macro for big heal:
#showtooltip Exhilaration
/use Healing Tonic
/cast Stoneform
/cast Exhilaration
/cast Spirit Mend
/script UIErrorsFrame:Clear()
Misdirect to my pet macro:
#showtooltip
/cast Misdirection; Misdirection
Test these macros on a dummy first to make sure they work.
The Actual Fight:
Put your pet on passive - when Ahoo'ru spawns you must hit the attack button to get your pet to attack (this way he will only attack Ahoo'ru even when you are attacking the angels -- this is how you place the angels in the right position without having to move as much as all the other poor classes).
Don't worry much about dps at first, your key is to run around the room without hitting the lightsparks until you can pop the brightlightspark to let angels out. As soon as you can safely misdirect them to your pet, do so. (Give your pet a mend-pet) Then when you have popped your third angel, use misdirect again followed by barrage -- that will ensure the angels go to the middle of the room where your pet will be attacking the boss.
At this point get to the nearest corner of the room against a wall and out of the lights, that way you don't have to worry about getting hit by the lights (this is a good time to use deterrence when you are running to the corner, if your hp is low here, use either your "oh !@#$" macro (must be spammed a couple of times to cast all spells) or one of your glowing honeycombs). You are saving your your burst cooldown for phase three-- don't be tempted to use it while you dps down the angels.
Give your pet a mend-pet.
Keep using multi-shot, barrage, steady-focus, kill command, and occasionally your mis-direct macro until the three angels are below 50% each so that they charge your pet (who is on the boss) which will remove the three shields off the boss and put you into phase 2.
In phase two, immediately get out of his bubbles (can disengage if you want, or just run) and use your burst macro (spam it a couple of times). He will go down fast,
BUT DON'T FORGET TO INTERRUPT HIS HEAL!
use counter shot for the interrupt. Throw another misdirect in there and feign-death if you get aggro (do not use glyph of feign death you you may bug the fight) --- give your pet another heal (if your pet dies use heart of the phoenix), you can use more of your glowing honeycombs if needed.
He should now be dead, congrats on your new title, mount, and BOA fist. :)
Not much time left so get rolling!
Here is the single target dps rotation during your burst phase compliments of Icy-veins:
Cast Kill Command
Cast Kill Shot
(Only available when the target is below 20% health.)
Use Barrage, if you have taken this talent (you should!).
Keep Steady Focus up, if you have taken this talent (you should!).
Cast Arcane Shot to dump any excess Focus.
Cast Cobra Shot to generate Focus.

I know it's probably too late for my comment to be of much use, considering the Brawlers Guild will be removed tomorrow if you're playing on US servers, or in 2 days if you're playing on EU servers. But I will offer my words of encouragement for those desperately trying to down Ahoo'ru to get the mount. I did this as a Frost Death Knight.
I cannot put into words just how frustrated and hopeless I was with this boss. Try as I might, I tried, and failed, to defeat him over the course of 2 days, I'd estimate around 20 times. I didn't reach Phase 2 a single time! My item level is 698, so I'm not too low to be incapable of the task at hand. I just couldn't get past Phase 1! I kept accidentally bumping into lights, or had them pass through me without noticing. With the sheer number of lights in the arena, it's impossible to keep an eye on all of them at once. Another major issue for me was the lights that periodically form a close circle around the boss, then spread back out again. It seemed just as I got an Angel to charge at me, the lights would protect the area from me. Sometimes the Angels would pass so close to the boss, yet wouldn't take down a shield.
But today I decided to give it another go. I only planned on trying a few times, but I ended up trying again probably around another 20 times straight. I kept failing, but then between 10-15 attempts on that day (or around 30-35 in total), I finally reached Phase 2 for the first time! At this point, I knew I could eventually down him if I kept at it, like comments have said, but until then, I hadn't believed them. I kept trying, and seemed to get worse, then better, then worse, then better. Finally I got him! The feeling of elation was unlike anything I've ever experienced in WoW. This is without a doubt the hardest thing I've ever worked at in WoW. Usually if I can't do something, I just give up and walk away. But with this I kept at it, and my persistence eventually won through.
Here are some tips I can offer anyone desperately trying to get this boss down:
1) Zoom out and tilt your camera so it's almost a top-down view of the arena. Don't zoom out too far, but enough to see a decently sized area around your character.
2) Disable all names, combat text, health bars, and unnecessary addons (such as Recount)! Seriously, this helped me a lot. They just get in the way and block your vision. The size they occupy may be comparatively tiny, but you need to see absolutely everything in this fight!
3) On my action bar, I arranged all of my damage and damage reduction buffs and pots all next to each other on the same row. As soon as I reached Phase 2 I would pop Anti-Magic Shell, move out of the circle, and then pop each ability/pot one by one. The line I had consisted of my Legendary Ring proc, Blood Fury, Empower Rune Weapon, Brawler's Bottomless Draenic Strength Potion, Icebound Fortitude, and Pillar of Frost. I'd recommend any class to follow this method for their damage and damage reduction abilities/pots.
So the bottom line is, although it might seem impossibly difficult, just keep at it. However long it takes, you will do it. You CAN do it, even if you yourself believe you can't. Trust me, you can!

You can actually (I've tested it today - 15.03.2019), burn Ahoo'ru down before he enters his divine shield. What you need is some kind of knockback, movement imparing ability (that actually works on him, not everything does), and a high enough DPS to kill him in ~9 seconds. Ahoo'ru enters his bubble when he reaches the middle of the arena, so the point is to prevent him from moving there.
I am a balance druid (399 ilvl), I've used Battle Potion of Intellect and Drums before he appeared, then Typhoon (which knocked him back and applied a daze debuff for a few seconds), popped Incarnation: Chosen of Elune and 385 ilvl Ancient Knot of Wisdom and started my burst rotation. Managed to get him to his knees just before he entered the small middle ring on the floor.
Relevant talents I've been using for this:
15: Nature's Balance (for a free starsurge)
60: Typhoon obviously
75: Incarnation: Chosen of Elune
90: Twin Moons (I've doubted I'd have the time to cast Stellar Flare)
100: Shooting Stars
I also had 3x Streaking Stars trait (with three of these I think I could switch Incarnation for any talent in 75lvl row to be honest and the strategy should work as well).
PS. I've also tried to root Ahoo'ru but he was immune to them.
Good luck testing that. I wonder if other classes can do that as well, for example monks using ring of peace?

Did him as a BM hunter item lvl 425. Took several attempts before I figured him out and then a few more to figure out my pet was the issue in phase one. So I started phase one without my spirit beast, gathered the angels one by one nuking them down close to boss so they would charge and remove his shield.
As soon as phase two started I called my pet out and nuked him down, making sure to interupt his full heal. Had some heal pots, spirit mend and Exhilaration to help.
The hardest thing is avoiding the balls of light which I think is a bit ott tbh. Glad I don't have to do him again...for a while.
