Heroic tactics in less broken english:
Phase 1: Tank tanks ground adds. Avoid whirlwinds. Range/dots can help with fliers. People use catapults (artillery) to fly up to the head. Tab-target "weak spot" and dps that. Jump down before he charges the wall. When you jump down help dps the adds before going back up.
Phase 2: After weak spot is dead, becomes vulnerable, starts taking real damage. He will fixate on someone. That person kites away. Should die fast at this point, if not just avoid the zerg and whittle him down.
Is anyone else having trouble when they load into the cannon it just drops them back out rather that shooting you up to the weak spot? I make sure I target the boss before I head into the cannon
Now that's a big bug.
The strategy is the same, and Phase 2 is a cakewalk (just run away from
). However the adds on Phase 1 have a lot more potential to wipe the group.
The ground adds on Phase 1 come in the sequence Protectorates / Engulfer / Swarmer, but they spawn on an accelerating timer, functioning as a soft enrage. You've got to have Weak Spot dead before the third Protectorates (ideally before the second Swamer) else you will get overwhelmed by adds. It's also likely that you will enter Phase 2 with adds still up, so be prepared to run away from Fixate while finishing off the adds that remain.
: These come in a pack of about 10. However, when you AOE them down and they all get to about 20% health, then they will all be casting
, giving them all +1500% attack speed! This will effectively one-shot your tank.
I found as a Guardian Druid that with Savage Defense up plus another cooldown, I could eat it. But another strategy is for the tank to make sure he has solid aggro, and then run away when the group is down to about 30%, while the ground DPS finishes them off. They continue to chase their aggro target, even if he is out of range.
Another plan would be to split the group up, or use single target nukes , to avoid having the whole pack under 20% simultaneously.
: These fly above the players and summon tornadoes. If they are not killed then the volume of tornadoes makes visibility difficult, and you may wipe because you have to move so much to avoid them. It's best to have a ranged DPS on the ground who can nuke these when they come in. (I'm not sure how a 3-melee group would cope!)
: This will cast
very rapidly - as a tank I could only interrupt every third one. It's not stunnable, you have to use proper interrupts. It is imperative that your healer heals the Swarm debuff off targeted people within the 10-second window, else a
spawns and this is likely to wipe the group.
This was an interesting fight with when 2 people were left. One dps was up to destroy the weak spot and died shortly after leaving me as heals and the tank. Took awhile but we downed him. Healer just has to kite when he is focused on you.
A clever reference to President Ronald Reagan (Raigonn=Reagan), who is best remembered in connection to his speech at the Berlin wall:
"General Secretary Gorbachev, if you seek peace, if you seek prosperity for the Soviet Union and eastern Europe, if you seek liberalization, come here to this gate. Mr. Gorbachev, open this gate.
Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall!
it's a giant enemy crab. hit his
for massive damage.
how the heck is this thing a humanoid?
Rico, you know what to do!
Downvoting my reference to Starship Troopers will only coax another:
The only good bug, is a dead bug.
If you get stuck in a cannon (which happens
with this fight), type this command:
This will force you out of the cannon.
Unfortunately, on my last encounter I couldn't get any of the cannons to work and had to rely on the rest of the group to damage the weak spot.
Don't even bother with Raigonn if you fancy a solo dungeon. The dumb ass bug cant be killed without a group. Only dungeon I haven't been able to solo in MOP. Total waste of time, mechanics are f****d, worst piece of coding in WoW I've seen for a long time. No idea if the cannons fire you at the weak spot, he loses some health but you'll be at this for over an hour! Life's too short for this kind of rubbish play style. Mogushan was fine, but this?
Needs a serious re-write.
I was having some probs with this at first but I finally figured it out.
1.Engage Raigonn to begin the battle
2.immediately run to the rocket to shoot you onto him
3.Target Raigonn then use tab to switch to the weak spot
4.Once you defeat the weak spot you can then proceed to burn him down
Have to have weak spot not Raigonn targeted to begin.Dont go up the stairs or go out of range,he will despawn and reset
Yes you have to run the entire dungeon to get this pet. I tried jumping off the sides and bridge at the start but there are invisible walls. Good news is at level 60 you can clear the place in 5 minutes (or less.)
