Can be found in Valley of the Four Winds, north of Stormstout Brewery
Of the many rares I've come across (I've seen about 6 or so in only a couple hours since hitting Pandaria) while exploring and mining.
This guy is situated very well for soloing - I was able to take him with my warlock. The only thing you need to worry about when fighting him is any careless AOE attacks will pull neutral mobs nearby which would complicate your battle. Of course he dropped something other than a cloth blue, but the bag of goodies had some nice things in it - a good amount of fools cap and kyparite.
fairly easy to kill.
He will open with
if you ranged pull him.
When he begins casting
simply move out of melee range
He will alternate between that and
. Knockbacks/downs and Deathgrip will temporarily interrupt him. However, he will simply start casting it again.
Unless you are a plate wearer or tank, Best to kite him during that since he reduces his own move speed with the ability.

All Yaungol rares use the same set of abilities.
Yaungol Stomp hits hard, but is very easy to avoid. The Yaungol will stop moving to cast it, and the range is only a couple yards around him. Just take a few steps out of it.
Charge will only be used if you get more than 20 yards from the Yaungol and isn't particularly dangerous by itself, but combined with Bellowing Rage can be lethal.
Bellowing Rage is a massive damage buff that will allow the Yaungol to make mincemeat of you in short order if you allow him to hit you. Fortunately, the buff also slows the Yaungol by 20%, so all you have to do is walk away until the buff wears off.
Camped him three times, He looks to be on respawn timer of an hour and a half.
Edit: Camping him three additional times, still waiting on the horn to drop. All three times he respawned a little over an hour after the last kill.
Respawn time between 60-90 minutes.
I saw him but then he just disappeared! I have no idea why. Any answer would be appreciated.
Spawned 03:20 on Frostmane EU GMT+1 time,
Easily soloable with BM Hunter, fight took me about 2-3minutes with easy CCs.
Definitely worth an attempt if you come across him while leveling. With rested bonus and my banner I got an astonishing 408,750 XP for like 45 seconds of work as a level 86 Hunter.
I camped him for 3 kills today, respawn times for me were 2-3 hours.
Easy kill, even as a rouge.
Make sure you have leeching poision on.
Avoid his yaungol stomp, and when he casts berserk simply run around in circles, making sure he doesn't hit you.
In between, DPS as much as you can, and you will kill him easily.
the screenshot of him in the rain makes this guy the most intimidating yaungol ever
Despite the above comments he seems to have close to a 45 minute respawn. I tabbed back to WoW about an hour after killing him the first time so to see if he was up and he was. After a few attempts I started checking to closer to 45 minutes.
My kill times were:
Hope this helps anyone while looking for the Battle Horn and or attempting to finish up the achievement.
.....He sure takes a while to skin that one mushan huh?
When fighting this guy just move out of aoe and when he use bellowing rage stay close but far away enough to not be melee attacked
Wyrmrest Accord - Blackhoof spawns every 40 minutes....killed him at 10:52 pm and 11:32 pm
I did not realize that I already had the "Battle Horn" so when it dropped on the second kill I could not loot it as I already had it...NOTE I got my Battle Horn from Timeless Isle did not realize this is the same horn everyone was referring to. Good Luck!
Appears he spawns beside one of the four dead Mushan beast in the Valley of Four Winds....these do NOT despawn so you can camp these sites.
I was farming Blackhoof for the Battle Horn. I got it on the third kill.
The time between spawns for me was between 39 and 56 minutes.
I farmed and got this item on August 1, 2014
Sightings at 1:13pm, 2:09pm, and 2:48pm.
I camped him all evening on my hunter, for 7 kills - he respawned either after one hour (4 times) or after 30 minutes (3x). Possibly something to do with merged realms?
I stayed on the grassy ledge just north of one dead Mushan, which allowed me to watch the central spawn points and used Eagle Eye to check on the further points.

Does anyone know if the gloves he is wearing is an equipable model?
"You said the drop rate for the
was 20%. The fact that I killed him 38 times without getting it determined that was a lie."
