A very rare spawn yet a good one, this guy drops the Phantom Armor if you're lucky! He also drops the Haunting Blade which is also a good two handed sword. He will also drop a Witching Stave at times! Good luck!

He can be /targeted from the entrance to the instance (/target Deathsworn Captain). If you get one of the deathguards instead, exit the instance, reset it (right-click your portrait for party leaders), and try again. I found him on my 9th try.

Doing /tar Deathsworn as soon as you zone in the instance will target him if he has spawned.

Confirmed that you can /target him at the very beginning of the instance, even before contacting any mobs. On a side note I found him on my 2nd try.

Another way to find if this guy has spawned is to use a Paladin.
Turn on "Sense Undead" and then get as close to the exit as possible without leaving. The minimap will revert to the outside version and you'll be able to get a look at every undead mob in the instance.
If he's on your map (usually right above you), then happy farming :]

Is he close enough to the entrance that a high level can kill him and his loot will still show up for a lowbie waiting at the entrance?

Yes he is but still the high level must run trough most of the instance so no idea in it. He will have to pass 4-5 bosses that have not bad drops.

He is on the bridge after the cursed captain(forgot his name),droped phantom armor to my 24 pally

He seems to spawn about one in five. If you want the armor he drops, it could take several hours of mainly just waiting to be able to enter the instance again. The sword is more common, and the one time I did farm the armor for an alt, I got four of the swords before I got the armor.

This guy is sooo lame. First he spawned on the second time we ran through and dropped the armor. 6 times later he spawns again and %^&*ing drops the armor again and now we gotta wait an hour before we can join an instance >.< And im a hunter who wants the freaking hot blade..

so if ya do the math take itll take bout 3 hours to get the chestpiece? also for the blue bracers the void's drop it would bechnically be a 12% drop per run because there are 4 voids that spawn or is it a 3% drop for all of the voids? if anyone knows it'd be great

armor dropped for me 1st run! ......to bad i was lvl 55 and running for BoE twink gear (>.<)

oh and indeed you can target him at the beginning and clear for the lowbie you're boosting

just got done running through sfk with two of my lower level guildies with my 80. ran through the whole dungeon twice, once, reset, then ran it again. deathsworn captain appeared in both of them! on top of this, he dropped the haunting blade once, and dropped the phantom armor the second run! how lucky yet strange...

I don't think he's there anymore. for some reason I managed to get the haunting blade off of godfrey while doing the quests on my hunter.

He still spawns, but his drops are also shared with Walden and Godfrey as well. So there's really no point in trying to go for this guy. I've had both of his drops come from a boss on several occasions now, they aren't hard to get anymore.

npcscan detected him today while doing crown chemical bosses. waited until everyone else dropped group and then went to tag him, got the sword

edit: on another character today (i have 16 alts to run against holiday bosses) he spawned again. same deal, waited till everyone else left the party and went over to slay him. he dropped the armor, but my character (mage) can't equip that

死亡之誓 is a rare (Silver) level 21 Undead Elite that spawns in 影牙城堡. When you first enter the dungeon instance, you can immediately see if he is present by typing in chat "/target Deathsworn Captain" or create and use a macro with the same text. He is visually an apparition that wanders back and forth along the wall above the courtyard.

While you can "target" him from the entrance, you will not confront him until after the 3rd boss, 指挥官斯普林瓦尔.

If 死亡之誓 is NOT in your present instance of the dungeon, leave the instance and reset it by right clicking on your player frame (picture next to your health bar) and selecting "Reset all instances." Re-enter the dungeon and repeat the /target command above. You can reset an instance 10 times per hour before it is locked. Be careful when doing this if you are trying to farm the instance. You might find yourself locked out for a little while because you reset it 10 times in 2 minutes.

If 死亡之誓 is not in your instance, 痛苦的军官 will be in his place walking along the wall.

Side Notes:
1. I exited the instance and switched characters. When I switched back about 2 minutes later and went into the instance again, it was reset. I don't know if this counts toward your hourly resets or not, so if you are nearing your limit of 10 per hour, you may want to try this.

2. If you are farming this dungeon you might want to take a bunch of 白银万能钥匙s along with you (unless of course you are a rogue). You will come across a few 大型铁箍储物箱s in the latter half of the dungeon that are locked.
