These are invisible, in the skettis area.. you need to have the effect of that shadow potion ( wich you make by delivering 6 shadow dust ) at the dude at the skyguard camp...
as of this writing (may 25, 07) they seem to heal you as if you were one of them, if you do not have the shadow potion.
I got jumped by several mobs doing the prisoner daily quest and I kept getting healed to full by these priests...
check your combat log if your health suddenly spiked back up in skettis.
Maybe it was just bugged when I tried it (6/2/08), but as a hunter, it seems that the effect of the elixir of shadows does not get applied to your pet. My pet continued to attack and aggro the normal mobs, but he wouldn't budge when I ordered him to attack the time-lost mobs. He also wouldn't act if I had him on defensive and I got attacked by a time-lost mob.
I can see how the effect of the elixir could be working as intended, since I'm technically not applying it to my pet. However, it's a real pain for a hunter to fight these mobs without a pet as they can both heal and apply a DoT. Not sure if warlocks have had the same experience.
If you log out and back in whilst an Elixir of Shadows is effective, it can cause these mobs to become friendly to you, and yet still attack you.
To remove this, simply right-click off the elixir's buff and they will disappear. When you use another elixir, they will correctly be hostile to you and attackable.
