Bombs are similar to the bombs that the trash in BF use. The MT should be able to see when they are about to be thrown and where they will land. If they are quick on their feet, they should be able to avoid the majority of the splash dmg and keep the rest of the raid safe. Mostly a tank'n spank while dancing around avoiding the bombs. Fire resistance is unnecessary. As soon as this advisor is down, the MT and other OT need to get up to the main platform to pick up the weapons that will spawn. Based on that, this advisor should be tanked just off to the left side. Getting him to move can be tricky and it is possible to LoS pull him from behind the statute on that side. The main point is to get him off the platform to face the wall but keep close enough so that when he goes down, everyone can get into position for the next phase.
Hes a real fan of the welfare epics ;)
The Remote Toy debuff he uses is the most god awful thing when soloing the Kael fight, capable of making or breaking a win depending on how often it procs.
Mage's Ice Block can remove Engineer's Remote Toy. but you should save it when he revives. But be careful, although it is rare, it happened to me once. after i removed Remote Toy with Ice block, when i got back to fight, he cast another Remote Toy on me.
For DK, i used Anti-Magic Shell right before i fought the Engineer. He used Remote Toy on me, It might be either missed or immuned by the Shell. I didn't pay attention. i will test it next week to confirm it.
if you are a warlock/hunter, use your minion/pet to attack him first, prefer Void walker to get the aggro before he reaches you. once the Void walker or pet gets the aggro, he will use Remote Toy on them.
ability ignores Line of Sight, so don't bother trying to hide behind one of the statues or pillars in his room hoping to avoid it.
If you're attempting to solo Kael'thas and can equip a Staff, simply loot the
once the "weapon" phase ends and use its protection field right before the next phase begins (right as Kael'thas finishes talking about "fighting all four advisors at once").
If all goes well, the four advisors will be rezzed, and you'll be immune to Telonicus' Remote Toy and Capernian's Conflagration, allowing you to switch back to your normal weapon and breeze through the phase. Just be sure to kill those two first. :)
