This is the first boss in Sethekk Halls, Auchindoun. He will chain lightning your party as well as summon 4 elementals(at once). Kill these elementals before they swarm your healer. He will continue to spawn elementals till he dies, and they do despawn when he dies.

- Strategy -
Darkweaver syth is an elemental shamen, his HP goes down fast, but at 75%, 50% and 25% he will summon 4 elementals , so when they spawn stop dps on boss and take them out. They are fearable. They do despawn when he dies.
- Special Abilities -
Summon Elementals – at 75%, 50%, and 25% health increments Darkweaver will summon 4 elementals; shadow, fire, frost, and arcane. They hit for about 600-800 elemental damage and leave behind a “magic” debuff that deals 65 damage every 3 seconds. They have low hp and are fearable.
Arcane, Frost, and Flame Shock – All his shocks deal about 500-800 damage.
Chain Lightning - same as a shammy
Shadow based Melee – Darkweaver’s melee damage is shadow based and hits for about 1000-1200.

He spawned the first adds at 85% for us.

His elemental minions are not precisely at 25% intervals. The key to killing him is to have your dps focus on dropping the minions during the first 2 spawns. We accomplished this with mage AOE assisted by a hunter. Our shaman healed the tank while the priest tended to the mage. During the last spawn of elementals, focus on killing Syth and ignore the elementals. They will despawn when he is dead. Overall, a fairly easy fight.

Syth has surprisingly few hitpoints, so if your party thinks they can go all-out on him from the get-go they might end up with a second wave of elementals before the first has been dealt with.
Take your time for the first half of the fight, focus your attention on elementals and just apply steady DPS. After the second wave of elementals is gone you're free to go buck-wild, because Syth will be dead long before the third wave of elementals will be a problem.

Did this with couple of lvl 66s: priest/druid/mage/hunter/rogue
Druid tank priest heals.
When first wave of adds come let the hunter pet tank and hunter do volley to get aggro off tank and kill them then concentrate on the boss again.
When he spawns adds again fear em and the ice and keep DPSing the boss he will die 10 sec after that and he adds will die with him.

Prot/Fury Warrior, Fury Warrior, Arcane/Fire Mage, Shadow Priest, Holy/Prot Paladin.
We used a somewhat different tactic from the usual "fear them all" strategy. While our main healer, the paladin, kept our warriors alive, the shadow priest kept me, the mage, alive when we had the adds while I AE'd them down. Since one of the mobs was immune to Arcane, it would beat on the tank or paladin until I was ready for it, where I'd then Fire Blast + Scorch it to death.
Given the set points for the adds, this tactic made the fight a joke.
Oh, and the 75/50/25% thing is wrong. The adds come at 90, 55, and 10%, as I've come to find.

Heroic --
Group setup - Lock, Mage, Warrior, Paladin, Hunter
We let our tank bring him down to 90% to build rage, and killed the first round of adds.
Second round of adds warrior blew fear, and we went all out on DPS. When third round of adds came out lock feared and he went down easily.
We killed him first time with this strat, the adds hit for a lot and the healer ran out of mana trying to keep everyone up with the "kill all adds strat"..

Just ran this tonight on heroic with a guild group, composed of:
Prot Pally (decently geared, 12.5k hp buffed)
Frost Mage
Dest Warlock
Balance Druid
Hybrid Healing Priest
Wiped three times trying to power him down, power adds down, and AE the whole fight through. Read a few comments and afterward attempted a very slow, nice and easy strategy: full dps until adds (mage, lock, and druid). Once adds spawn, tank keeps consecration down (SoV stacked on boss to keep aggro), and tanks adds down one by one, mage/lock assisting. Singletarget-killed each add down, druid was tossing heals during the adds. DPS halted until debuffs wear off (very important part... those are what will kill you, as will burning mana/time mass dispelling), then DPS resumed. Did once at 85% and 55%. When adds spawned around 10%, we just powered him down. Not a bad fight this way, just don't lose hope.

HEROIC:
Here is a tactic that served us (Druid Tank, Druid Healer, Hunter, 2 Mages) quite well.
Deal if the fight is killing the elementals quick enough. Make sure who of the DPSers kill which one and the the healer (if you have only one) save of them. After the first wave is dead, bandage and dont hit the boss until all are at or close to full health. Then do the same for the second wave. After that wave, get up your health again and then nuke the boss down and dont mind the third wave, they will despawn after you downed Darkweaver Syth.
After several wipes we got him with that tactic ((and a lack of healing maybe)) on second try.

Just did him, really easy guy.
Rogue(me), warrior tank, resto druid, mage & Spriest.
Rogue & Tank on the boss and the mage & spriest on the first 2 sets of adds (mage on the shadow ones, priest on the fire ones), he doesn't have much HP, 110k or so, after the first 2 sets of adds just fear/ignore them and nuke him down, the adds despawn when he dies.

For the record the last 2 times i did this in reg mode the elementals were immune to all fears/banishes. It may have been a bug, but it's worth mentioning

There are two parts to this encounter: Syth (and his health %) and his adds.
His adds are directly linked to his health and as such the group can control when the adds spawn which is important for determining tactics. The adds spawn at 90%, 55% and 10%.
Generally, most groups cannot keep the first wave feared until Syth is dead and it is therefore recommended that all dps'ers stop damaging him and focus on adds for the first wave. Because the tank (most likely) won't do a lot of damage to the boss during this phase, there's no danger of having 2 waves spawn at once. After adds are dead, you can dps him down to 55%. If you're doing a good job and taking him down fast, you should be able to fear the adds from both this wave and the last wave while you burn him down. Adds will despawn after a few seconds once Syth is dead.
Note that adds have too many hitpoints for AoE unless you happen to have two epic-geared mages in your team - otherwise, I recommend using the above strategy, also to avoid 2 waves spawning at the same time un-feared.

In nonheroic, I just cleared him without a healer on my 70 warrior. (WHAT?)
Basically, one of my guildies asked me to tank. He's a retadin. We had two hunters (Both 68), retadin (70), and a mage (68, apparently Arcane spec), as well as me tanking on a prot warrior. We decided to burn straight through after wiping the first time, the paladin's heals just couldn't keep up.
Started the fight, I Intimidating Shouted the first wave of adds. We kept burning him straight through. When the second wave spawned and my Shout wore off, I activated Shield Wall, Last Stand, and Challenging Shout. That was enough mitigation to keep me alive until we had burned him all the way down - a few Holy Lights from the paladin throughout the first part kept me alive. I had 12000 hp, in basic pre-Kara pre-heroic gear.
It IS possible to burn straight through on Regular, you just have to burn cooldowns and have some decent luck behind you.

HEROIC:
Did him yesterday for the first time. Our group planned to DPS first wave and fear second and third wave of adds (fears from me (prot warrior) and lock). DPSd him too fast though and second wave spawned before first wave was finished. All 5 party members started taking lots of damage at the same time so we wiped.
Second time, we decided to play it safe and dps slowly so we didn't have too many adds spawned at once. I put all the dps on adds (mage, lock, and hunter) and i soloed Syth. Even with just me on Syth, the second group spawned just as they finished the first (i'm nothing special as far as Heroic dps goes). DPSd the second wave, feared third and had no trouble second time.
Whole reason for my post though, was that i discovered during my fight with the boss that, while his Chain Lightning can't be Shield Bashed to interrupt the cast, a warrior can Reflect it (which is possibly why i was taking him down faster than i thought i should be). I don't know if it kept it from hitting the rest of the party, but it did save me about 1,200 hp per cast which made it easier for healer to keep up the dpsers. Also, remarkably, my Reflect was off CD everytime he cast, so it was easy to keep up since you can see him charge up the spell. I probably used it two or three times before DPS rejoined me.
Anyway, all that to say that your warrior can reflect the chain lightning. =)

paladin tanks(like myself) are definitely better imo...
I have yet to wipe on him on reg or heroic. It makes the dps/healers life SO much easier to not have to worry about aggro. I gave everyone salv during this fight because they have to dps so hard and so fast here(salv let them dps more without the threat of aggroing the boss/ellys)

Soloed a few days ago as a level 80 feral druid tank in naxx gear. It was very easy, I didn't even have to use cooldowns or trinkets. Just spam mangle, keep lacerate up, and swipe or glyphed maul down the adds when they spawn.
Use berserk or barkskin when the adds appear if you have any trouble.

took me a few tries, but I soloed as an 80 rogue. his magic and the elementals hit a bit hard without anyway to mitigate their damage, but a health pot and careful timing of CDs helped me nail it!

Soloed as 80 Hunter, kill 1st 2 waves with Explosive Trap and Volley, ignore last wave just Dps Syth. Use your CDs on final wave not before or you will prob have 2 waves of elementals attacking you. A Gorilla will probably be a good pet for this fight, I had a Wolf and found it a little tricky. With a Gorilla it may be possible to kill Syth without touching adds, as long as you kill him quick (not verified).

Army of the Dead
and area of effect spells worked very nicely on him as a Death Knight. Suggest starting with it right away and then just keep on the DPS while the ghouls handle the rest.

This strategy requires a tankadin and caster aoe classes, mostly because concecration gives more threat than thunderclap. What our groups used to do was clump up around the tank in the middle, and as the adds spawn the tank grabs immediate aggro. Casters aoe around when enough threat is built, and continue dsping the boss. Works every time

We killed him earlier with: A 67 hunter( me), a 67 holy priest, a 68 frost mage, a 68 hunter, and a 66 shaman. The shaman tanked him, since we couldn't get an actual tank.
Was pretty easy to take down, we just had to watch out for his elementals. By the third time he was easy.

I just soloed on my 73 arcane mage with mostly brutal and sunwell gear, LK gems and enchants.
Blew all cds and the fight was over in about 15 seconds. Took me 2 tries to get it down. Just spam blast on the boss and its gg
