This mob is probably a reference to the science fiction book/movie series "Dune"

In Dune giant sandworms reign the desert planet named Arrakis.

Akkaris --> Arrakis
Annelid prime --> Prime worm

And Akkaris coincidentally spawns in a desert area of the map!
