Elder Ironband is located at 21,79 - Blackchar Cave.

If you are interested. The cave is sealed off, not allowing any passage through it.

I found this cave some time ago, when first flying over it via one of the flight paths. That made me curious, so I went to it. Upon going to it. I noticed that Blackchar could be short for Black CHARacter. So I search about for a bit when I thought to look at my mini-map. AHA!

The landscape, when looking at the mini-map, resembles a black characters face.

Now you can also see that Elder Ironband is also a black toned character.

The cave is sealed off, not allowing any passage through it.

Mages can blink through the rubble blocking the entrance. There is no passage through it as the cave only has one point of entry.
The cave is full of scenic light brown mushrooms that periodically shudder releasing spores.
Not much a spelunker myself, so I cannot give you the cave model to reference.

There's a tall standing stone near the cave entrance that looks remarkably like a meeting stone without the sigil. Perhaps an old, planned instance?

you can see another face straight across at the other end of Searing Gorge. In fact, the left side of the face is the same doggone tile.

Maybe these are faces of the Old Gods who are imprisoned underground ...

Seriously? Black CHARacter? Paint chips are not food, child. I realize that Blizzard has created a wonderful, large and varied world full of hidden references and in-jokes for us to enjoy. However, this is not one of them. It's just a typical cookie-cutter cave_entrance_01 that has not been implemented yet.

Also, I'd like to point out that ALL of the dwarven elders' skin tones are light grey to dark grey. Not just this one.

I'm sure that you don't believe in Santa claw, Fairies, Aliens etc etc huh...?

Anyhow. "I want to believe", that it IS intended to show a face :)

This might help those who are missing it still. It took me a little while to figure this out.

Standing next to the little Alliance tent at 41,74 face west and look up. You'll see a path winding up the hill and a large, lighter stone that does in fact look a little like a misshapen meeting stone. That's what you're heading for. The elder is in front of the blocked off cave entrance, just behind the large stone.

Go to around (28, 65) and head west on the rocks. Like others said, there looks like a misshapen summoning stone, spiders, and Elder Ironband is outside the cave.

Yup, Deathwing will most definitely be in Hyjal, being as how in the Warcraft III campaign Furion Stormrage makes a reference to Deathwing sleeping in Hyjal.

How to create a route for the Eastern Kingdoms Elders in Carbonite.

Click on the torch icon (Favorites) in your carbonite minimap

This brings up the notes window.

Click on the word Root on the left hand side.
Right click on the word Root.
Click on Add Folder
Name it Lunar Festival
Press Enter or click on Accept to create the new folder
Click on the new folder then right click on the new folder you just created.
Click on Add Favorite
Name this one Eastern Kingdoms Elders then press enter or click on accept.
Click on the Record button in the upper left corner of the Favorites window.
Make sure that it is red.

Enter the following lines into your chat window: (you will have to copy and paste these one at a time)

Click on Record to stop recording.

You can now Right click the Targets and rename them if you would like.

MAKE SURE THAT YOU HAVE STOPPED RECORDING!

Now you can click on the first one and Carbonite will automatically create a route for you to follow. If you are unsatisfied with the route, right click on your carbonite mini map window and chose Route then Current Goto Targets. This will redo the path from where you are currently.

If you don't mind a bit of corpse-running to get there, you can complete the quest on a trial account (lvl 20), since the spiders around are far enough away that you have time to complete the quest before they reach you (if you run up the slope afterwards they also de-aggro so you can hs or whatever afterwards).

Shown map coord is wrong. Basically if you're facing into the zone from Blackrock Mountain's door, just go west up the ridge to the cave nearby. He'll be in front of it.
