There are 4 of these at the entrance of Ahn'Quiraj. They seem to gain a powerful buff when one dies, the last of which being that it heals around 4000 damage every 3 seconds. So it's probably best to lower the HP of all, and finally kill them one by one as quick as possible.
My lv 80 paladin was unable to kill the 4th as it regenerated faster than I could hurt it.

Easily soloable in groups of four for my feral druid. I just repeatedly pulled the first group and if there was a healing one I'd leave it alive and back out of the instance, loot the other three and let them reset.

Since it hasn't been posted ever.. When you kill one the ones that are still alive seem to gain whatever "buff" that one had, so if you're trying to get rid of the Mortal Strike, don't kill the one with the mortal strike first ;).

Farmed this solo as a well geared enhancement shaman for the mounts.
- There are two packs of these before the first boss in AQ40, each pack having four sentinels.
- They have 110k health, and will hit for 800-1000 each.
- Upon being pulled, each gain a buff that gives them a special ability. Read the buff on each mob upon pulling to figure out which ones you get. The buffs will be different for each pull (even on the same pack)
- The two most significant buffs are mortal strike (will occasionally do a 4k damage mortal strike that lasts 5 seconds) and the healing buff, which constantly heals the mob with it every few seconds.
- When one dies, the other 3 will heal to full and gain the buff of the mob you just killed. This means the last one will have 4 buffs.
- At 30-40% the mob will enrage, doing 70% more damage and attacking 30% faster. An enraged mortal strike will hurt.
- Their respawn timer is fairly short, so you can clear the mobs before first boss, go back to entrance and go afk a while.
- The green, yellow and blue mounts will likely drop quickly (possibly within the first two packs). The red one will require significant farming, seeing as it's roughly 1% drop.
The strat is fairly simple. Lightning bolt one at max range, shift into ghost wolf and then run away - check the debuff of each one. If one has mortal strike (same icon as warrior ability), you probably want to run out of the instance and back in to get a new bag of abilities (though I have done them with mortal strike - it just requires better gear).
Kill the ones who reflect spells first (they reflect schools you need not worry about), since that's a harmless one to spread to the other 3. Then kill the knockback / thorns / shadow, then mana burner, and finally the healer (if there is one).
As for the actual killing, you'll want to burn one down while keeping yourself up with maelstrom healing as long as you can before popping the wolves and twin howling. The idea is to kill two before the wolves disappear (use bloodlust if needed) since once there's only two left you shouldn't have difficulty keeping yourself alive.

As a badly geared prot warrior (had no chance when I tried as arms with good gear), I found it hard to solo the 4 of these, mainly because of the buffs they have.
But what I did find out, was that you can pull the pack up to the entrance, kill one of them and then just back out. When you enter the instance again immediately, you can loot the Sentinel you killed and see that the 3 remaining ones have gone back to their original position AND a 4th have spawned with them.
So for those of you who struggle with killing of the whole group as one, but have no trouble with killing just one of them, I suggest this time saving strategy.

If you're solo farming these, check the buffs all 4 of them have when you pull. There's a few different buffs that you want to avoid kiling entirely, and others that are better left until later.
Mortal Strike buff: This is the most dangerous, on my warrior in his off-spec tank gear 1 mob with the debuff is manageable, if you kill the MS mob first however, you'll be left with 3 mobs that all cast Mortal strike.
Healing Buff: The ones with healing buff are far far slower to kill since they heal themselves (duh), meaning more time getting beat on by 4 mobs. if you kill it, you'll be left with 3 very slow to kill mobs.
Knockback: More of an annoying ability than anything, not as dangerous as the healing or MS mobs but killing first eans you'll have 3 mobs all casting knockback. It's better to kill this one 2nd or 3rd so you don't get constantly jibbed.
Thorns: Killing these ones means you'll run out of hp a lot faster, i prioritise these around the same as knockback.. not a major problem but best left until later.
It's always better to prioritise the mobs with the least dangerous debuffs first, as all the remaining mobs gain that debuff when it dies. As a warrior tank i take out the anti-caster debuffs first, then the thunderclap, then the buffs listed above. If you have more than one MS mob it's better just to reset.

As a Ret Pally I found the above posters to be pretty much correct for me as well, but just some additions.
Pretty much always pull them to the entrance portal, so if you really need to you can back out. At this point I've only had problems when I've had a Mortal Strike buff mob. If there is one of those I'll kill one guy and back out to reset them. Sometimes I'll have to pop a cooldown/bubble to get one down but it's better than nothing.
As long as there's no MS you should be able to solo all 4 of them, but
don't!
Just kill 3 and back out of the portal, this lets them respawn instantly and you can then start again.
Like I said if there's a MS guy, kill one and reset. If not, leave the healing and mana burn guys till last. Besides that kill anything else with impunity. The rest don't seem to matter.
Mainly I used Seal of Light, Judgement of Light, Blessing of Might. This keeps you alive just long enough with an MSer to kill one and survive. All others you'll stay maxed health. If there's a mana burn you may want to swap back and forth between SoL and SoWisdom midfight if you get low on mana.
I just got Blue, Green, and Yellow Qiraji stones in half an hour doing this, killing 3-4 Sentinels every 5 minutes! Just can't wait for the Red, good luck on that.

these can easily be continually farmed, because if you fail to finish off the entire group, the ones that had died will respawn. so just burn one down, and run out of the instance, then run back in, and he's back. rinse and repeat.

Okay, these can be little tricky for warlock. My strategy is send in Void Walker, pull them back, AoE-taunt and focus on one enemy while sometimes health-funneling pet. Of course, since I have fel synergy, sometimes enemies aggro me.
Before pet dies I sacrifice it, pop Metamorphosis and burn down that one as quickly as possible.
If there is a mortal strike-Anubisath, I just get the $%^& away.

It takes about 3 minutes for my poorly geared Retribution Paladin to do a reset clear of the first pack of these. I farmed up about 20000 or so reputation within 4 hours repeating this. It's not a bad method if you have the patience for it.

Just found out today that even a shadow priest can solo these packs, albeit I have pretty good gear (3.3k spellpower/35% crit/21% haste). Worse gear would probably need
Improved VE
to stay alive long enough to bring them all down.
Obviously nothing can be done about the guys who reflect shadow spells, but other than that you hardly have to worry about the buffs; I consider the knockback a bit of a blessing because it puts some distance between you and the mobs, giving some time to tick out of weakened soul/regen with VE. The only buff we can't touch is the shadow reflect, just kill the others then run out and reset if you get one.
Once the first one died I popped shadowfiend + fade to give myself some breathing room to heal and DoT up the next target, after that it was just a matter of keeping PW:S up to reduce incoming damage. Remember to keep inner fire up too, you'll probably get it knocked off by the time the second one goes down.
Good luck! It was definitely nice to see that there's some things even we facemelters can bring down on our own. :D

As a mage, it is possible to farm the first pack using mirror images and invisibility. Glyphing for the extra mirror image is recommended. Simply pull the one closest to you and dps away. By the time it's dead, your mirror images should be dead as well, so invis and let the pack reset. Then rinse and repeat.
If you happen to get a spell reflect one, you'll have to think fast and attack another or let your images die and invis to reset.
If you're farming this way while waiting for Obsidian Eradicators to respawn (30 minute timer), you will have to die once to completely reset the Sentinels because when you pop Mirror Images for the first Eradicator, the Sentinels will auto-aggro to the images.

Does anyone know if the drop rate is reduced after multiple kills? I've killed a lot now, not sure on exact count but I have about 300 Black Stones. In the start i got atleast 1 mount drop each pull, now I only see one every 5th pull. RNG sucks
Also should add I have gotten 5 Artifacts and 7 idols which all have way lower drop than Red :(

A really patient player could farm these mobs:
Eradicators
and
Sentinels
for
Ancient Qiraji Artifacts
. The drop rate would be about 1 in every 180 kills.
Consider that there are two patrols, each containing 4 Sentinels and 1 Eradicator before the first boss in AQ40. That comes to ten mobs. Given that you can kill 50 of these mobs (total) per hour (get a pal to park an alt in a raid group with you, run in by yourself, kill the ten, run out, reset the instance, rinse and repeat the maximum 5 times per hour), you could count on 1000 rep from1
Ancient Qiraji Artifact
every four hours, more or less (statistically speaking).
Maybe it's not a lot of fun, but it is conceivable that you could get from 0/21000 to 21k/21k+ Revered/Exalted within one raid lock-out period. Mind numbing and potentially maddening, but conceivable.
Another plus is that these mobs drop the bug mounts, so by the time that you are finished with your rep, it's almost a given that you will have all of the AQ mounts.
