How in the world do you defeat this boss without the unnatural power stacking up to 10?

I couldn't solo this guy as a subtlety rogue with 145ilvl. He had around 250k health. It could be possible with better RNG powers, but advised to wait until you have better gear.

Easy as a DH, dodge/interrupt abilities as needed. Occasionally spawns adds that you can siphon souls for healing off of.

He was the final boss of Soulforges Layer 3. After a few wipes, I managed to solo him as a ilvl 154 destro necro lock.
I was using the upgrade that doubles infernal duration, but also gives it 50% chance to consume a freed soul, so the fight actually was progressively harder each attempt. I'd recommend either not picking that upgrade or using every buff you can afford (food, flask, rune, pots, oil) and just burn him down as fast as possible from the outset.

As a 146 item level hunter I found this hard so not a surprise melee find this boss hard too. I found I could kill him if I kited him towards the stairs I came up to the main room. The DOORS do not close on this one. This made it easier to avoid his damage going back and forth. My dps averaged only 2k but just got him down. Had to heal my pet on every cooldown of heal pet as well.

Found this relatively easy as a 145 Frost mage. Never got below half health. I did use a health pot once. And at one point I was just kiting around waiting for my mirror images CD to end, but other than that, ezpz.

Completed this first try as a Frost DK. I literally had to kite the entire battle. Used Chains of Ice every time it was up. Definitely recommend upping your endurance, as a DK grabbing the anima that casts disease from all 3 specs was a huge help. If you keep out of his AoE abilities this is a doable fight. I never dropped below 75% health and didn't used the pot I bought from the vendor. Much easier than expected after reading this prior to running against him.

Just completed this mob with a ilvl 153 outlaw rogue. It was tough but doable with pots and liberal use of kidney shot.

This was far and away the hardest single fight I've ever done in all of WoW as an Arms Warrior.
Try to get the talents that give you health when hitting a new target, that will help when the adds spawn and actually be beneficial with how fast they die to sweeping strikes. Second Wind + Slow is a must here, also Die by the Sword when it gets really hairy.
The main thing about this fight is I had to keep side strafing and hitting at max range. That way when he does the cheapest AoE stun in the game, you can actually be out of range. Don't ever stop moving when you fight this guy.

I 100% cleared all floors and got up to 29 Souls and the item that turns Fleshcraft into a bomb. Ended with over 1300 unspent phantasma.

Done as a 153 ilvl Arcane Mage, on my 4th try with 22 AP
To my fellow Arcane mages make good use of your defensives( Mirror image, Ice block, Prismatic barrier)
Always blink away from shockwaves,
Save your arcane orbs for when adds spawn,
and if you are a Night Fae, remember to use shifting power on adds( after your initial arcane power to reduce the CDs remaining seconds),
Spell stealing the buff its not so useful because it accentuates physical damage, unless you are in the melee range,
Remember the potion use intervals are now 5 mins, so you can only use your health pot once during the fight

I just solo'd this on my kyrian sub rogue @ ilvl 133.
The trick is to be patient and kite using rupture and going in when you are able too.
The boss will cast different buffs on him.
1) Lumbering Might: will increase damage and reduce his movement speed.
You will definitely want to stick rupture and just kite around til this falls off.
2) Crumbling Walls: any attack you do will cause him to spawn a rock shard minion dude.
Rupture wont cause any minions to spawn so kite during this phase also
When he hard cast his moves like ground crush or shockwave is when you can go in and just pop shadowdance & rotation and cheap shot any hard cast he does.
Make sure to keep rupture up and rinse and repeat until hes dead.
Hope you guys are enjoying Shadowlands.

Just did him on my 3rd try as a 143 ilvl Holy Priest. Somewhat challenging indeed. Had to use a lot of different moves, and when I finally got him, I was using dispel magic to remove some of his buffs. This was the game changer for me.

Frost mage - this is not as tough as it is for other classes. He slows himself so you can kite him around the room as well as using your own slows and freezes. Pop all your CDs and go to town. I largely ignored the adds and focused on him to get him down as soon as possible. The stun will get you so if you cant get out of in front of him, save ice barrier for that.

Many people might tell you just to burn thru the floors getting to the top. Thats not the best advice... kill as many of the mobs floor to floor as you can and get the loot... you can then talk to the vendor at the beginning of the floors to buy as many health options, damage increase options, and damage mitigation options as you can... damage mitigation and increased health are critical here. Yes, you need to kite him (if tank with low dps) - especially if you are squishy. stay out of range of his stomps/spikes as they will wreck you.

Just solod this as a 184 ilvl DK on 6th layer. Brief DK guide:
Put out as much damage as you can during your burst, he will probably cast "Mighty Crush" once during your burst, which is his most dangerous ability that WILL one shot you. I personally used Death's Advance to move out of this.
After the start when your burst has died down start kiting. I started kiting with Chains of Ice and just putting Virulent Plague + Death Coils at him + Unholy Pact from UH DK talents. Mobs were fairly squishy and kept giving me Death Strikes which I used on other mobs, never had any problem with these.
But the single problem for you is the Mighty Crush, and if you are a Necrolord it can be dangerous to use Abominations Limb on this boss cause you can pull him to you where he begins casting a Mighty Crush. I'd advise taking Wraith Walk instead of Death Pact on this boss, as this boss will deal almost no damage to you except his Mighty Crush which one-shots you.
Another dangerous thing is if he hits you with his 2 second stun and then casts Mighty Crush. Save Icebound Fortitude for a possible stun on you to break out of it.
Took me 2 attempts to kill him. 1st attempt I got him to 3k hp left but then got one-shot by the Mighty Crush (did not think it would one shot me when I had 50k hp, but it actually hit me for 99k).

Ilvl 178 BM Hunter here. Wanted to come drop some advice I wish I would have tried from the jump on this guy.
I kept failing at first because I was focusing on trying to manage the minions he spawns......but don't. Ignore them - mostly
(will explain in a second)
.
Between a healing potion from the vendor, Exhilaration, and aspect of the turtle, you should be able to survive damage you might take during this fight ignoring the minions - mostly. Now the reason I say to "mostly" ignore the minions is because this boss hits your pets HARD, even if you spam heal pet on cooldown - which you'll need to.
A neat little trick I used to give my pets a break was to stay as far away from the boss as possible so that when my pet heal wasn't off cooldown and i felt like my pets were gonna die before it was back up, I could use kill command on one of the minions that were on me and cause my pets to zoom over to them. The boss is slow, so while it remains aggroed on them, it won't hit them for a small amount of time and that small window was all I needed to get them healed up enough to continue the fight as is.
Outside of that one use I mentioned above, ignore the minions . Trying to manage them is what made me die back to back to back. I killed this guy with relative ease on my very last attempt by completely ignoring the minions outside of that one use. The rest of the fight is a cake walk if you just keep your distance and don't stand in big swirly circles.
It also helps if you have the haste trinket and/or a Ferocity pet with Primal Rage. That just speeds the fight up by a lot, but it's not necessary.
GL everyone!

As an
Arms Warrior
, this can be a real easy fight if you are lucky with either:
Die by the Sword anima powers, which can basically enable you to have it up all the time
or
Negation Well anima power, which increases the power of your jumps; combine this with the Second Wind talent and get away whenever you need to heal.
Other than this, make sure to dodge his abilities as much as possible.

Just solo'ed on my spriest, ilvl 154 and it was super easy. You can one dot the adds when they pop up - otherwise just keep sending mindbender, fading, psychic screaming, and dispersion if you really get stuck. No need to jump in this one, so if you get the option to bump your int and stamina up by 30% but lose the ability to jump - TAKE IT. Easy mode :)

Just beat him in Skoldus layer 6 as Guardian Druid (item level 162), on the fourth try. I'll share my thoughts here.
As all the other comments state, this is a kite fight, even as tank spec. He will get to 10 stacks of Unnatural Power because your DPS time is so low, so we'll take that as a given. The only things which change at 10 stacks is the speed debut from Mangle will no longer apply, so he'll start running at times and it may surprise you, but it's ok.
As bear, the only thing which must be dodged is Shockwave, if not interrupted. Sometimes you may be kiting and an interrupt is risky. It will still 1-shot a tank at high Unnatural Power stacks. It's also conal. Two of my deaths were from kiting him too far away, and I couldn't strafe outside the cone.
The phases, in priority, are:
- Lumbering Might - Kite him here and let moonfire/thrash do it's work. There's plenty of time to pop out a quick regrowth/rejuv if you need to.
- Crumbling Walls - I tried to do no DPS here since new attacks pop adds, and it tends to stack with Lumbering Might so it's still a kite phase. The adds are not actually worrisome; they do not hit hard and they will die fast enough from thrash and a couple hits. If you have the buff to heal yourself for new enemies, maybe you want a couple out.
If neither of those are up, you can come in and do some face-hitting. This time is pretty short so Barkskin/Instincts should last you if he's hitting hard. As soon as you see the earth aoe cast, that's when I popped into cat and started another kite phase.

I failed against this boss on my ret paladin which is ilvl 157, and got kicked out of torghast, but this is what i learned:
When the boss pops Lumbering Might, make distance with Divine Steed, use all ranged abilities (judgement, blade of justice, and covenant ability if you're bastion/maldraxxus). While Lumbering Might is up you should also heal yourself or take care of the little stone goblins if there's too many (stone goblins tend to put Daze on you, idk if its from Divine Steed or not).
When Lumbering Might fades, pop cd's and try to zerg the boss down. if you get low on health, divine steed out, put Hand of Hindrance on boss, and heal yourself (could also use this moment to take care of some stone goblins).
You also want to try and keep moving around the boss in semi-circles, as to avoid the his Shockwave ability, which does a lot of damage and stuns you for 3 seconds.
Try to get as many Hammer of Justice's and Hand of Hindrance's out as early as possible, since after the boss reaches 10 stacks of Unnatural Power it will become immune to stuns and slows, making it nearly impossible to kill him.
The boss also has an ability call Crumbling Walls, which makes a stone goblin thing spawn when the boss takes damage, these dont do a lot of damage but, as i mentioned earlier, tend to daze you, and if you're low on health while they daze you, you're basically forced to bubble/bop and heal yourself that way.
TL;DR kite when boss big, zerg when boss small

As resto shaman I popped my earth elemental+lust and just went ham (lava burst/lightning) as quick as I could. Ele did die before boss did but I was able to kite around just enough (with some Spiritwalker's Grace) and killed him.
Was not a fun fight (died 2-3 times figuring that the mechanics could not be dealt with at all normally. If I held off dpsing while he was in crumble mode and then nuked when he wasn't, the boss would get on top of me or one shot with some ability that wasn't telegraphing on the ground at all.
Good luck!

Faced him on tier 4 of Skoldus Hall as an ilvl 172 Enh shaman. Was able to pop everything and burn him before earth elemental died, only abilities of note were ascendance when BL and my BL was up to 50% haste. The buff he casts on himself are magic and can be purged, so if you are a class with hostile dispel you can avoid the lumbering buff mechanic. Also, the adds that spawn from the other buff are super fragile so if you have cleave you should be able to almost ignore them and cleave down.

As a 175 BDK I faced him on floor 18 of Twisting Corridors. He is no joke. He has over 2.6m HP and hits like a truck. I cleared all 18 floors without a single death but he made up for that. Took all 5 of mine and I didn't get him below 1m hp. I follow the strats mentioned here and they seem to work but I just could no longer survive the damage after he hit 10 stacks even with over 55 anima traits. Good luck if you get him as the last boss.

This boss is super irritating to do, and it feels like some of his abilities hit you even when you're not near him. As a 180 prot paladin, I had the anima power that makes your jump a long leap, so it was easy to kite him through Lumbering Might debuff, as well as quickly get out of range for the Ground Crush, and to dodge the frontal cone Shockwave (the stun isn't bad, it's the shockwave hit that's bad). I died several times, one shotted, even though I was easily out of range for either of his big hitters. I eventually gave up, because sometimes I was getting killed for apparently no reason, while other times I should have easily died, but the abilities seemed to not even hit me. It was really weird. I couldn't even see where the shockwave was going to hit on the ground to get an idea of how close or far away I was to it at all.

For the ppl who say to just dot him and kite, I notice they don't mention the adds he summons. You can't run and kite with 4 or 5 adds on you. I call BS.

This boss seems to be a problem mainly for melee classes.
On my iLv185 Demo Warlock, this was
by far
the easiest layer-8 boss I have ever faced. I had average to good Anima powers, far from optimal. Fight took 2 minutes, Felguard could hold aggro perfectly and I barely took damage.
But I think this boss has been nerfed, because I’m pretty sure I had this fight already before, and it wasn’t that easy back then.
Heck, I even double-checked the amount of received Soul Ash in the console log, to be sure I really was on layer 8, because it felt more like layer 6. (Didn’t the layer-8 bosses have ~560k last week? This one only had ~490k.)

189 Prot Pally with around 60k health with anima powers and buffs and this man took all my lives as well as my confidence.
Shockwave casts lightning quick. You have to have godlike reflexes as a slow melee class to beat this one. Use all of your defensives that will keep you from being one shot. Ardent Defender, Divine Shield, Guardian of Kings saved me a couple of times but it wasn’t pretty.
Play him like a dark souls boss and take your time if you’re a tank honestly. Stun him early because he will be immune to that at a 10 stacks, but that’s not a problem really. Stay just out of range enough to move out of Ground Crush easily, but not so far that strafing him is impossible when he casts shockwave. Also there is no ground animation (I’m assuming on lower graphics settings? Idk) for that frontal attack so just watch for that casting bar and strafe.
The big attacks seemed much more important to dodge than kiting him around through lumbering might (tanking the damage here might be easier to mentally manage).
Oh and just run around and don’t attack while he has the crushing walls buff on or whatever because that spawns minions. Unless you have something that boosts your damage or heals you for killing minions, then go for it?

Anyone speaking about Torghast should first specify what difficult they are doing. Normal or Twisting Corridors.
The difference is like Normal to Mythic so its helpful to say what layer.
Tactics that work on floor 8 normal are sometimes not relevant to layer 8 floor 18.
Cellblock Sentinel - Floor 18 layer 8
Demo lock - Health 120k
Pet 1.2 Million health
91 Anima powers
DPS on single target : Around 100k+
Met this guy sent pet in. Literally 1.8 seconds later 1.2 Mill pet dead. he turns on me and does the shockwave 60 yard range ability and it hits for 480k
Im an ex Mythic raider so know if this happens I just probably feked up.
My approach was dont worry about the AOE as pet will tank it, kite the crumbling walls with lock slow and re engage when over.
Bad tactic didnt work. 2 seconds later the entire run was over.
Demo is strong but with the way our main anima power works (yes we get 1 build) if we die once on a late floor the run is over. 1 shot is all we get.
What I maybe should have done is stun the shockwave - let crumbling go through and deal with it.
When meeting this boss on normal Torghast floor 8 the shockwave tickled my pet and is barely worth mentioning, on Layer 8 floor 18 it will rek you in seconds.

187 ilvl resto druid. I ran in prowled as cat, used rake to stun him, used Convoke the Spirits (Night fae button), and by the time convoke was finished channeling he was dead. lol He maybe got two hits in MAX due to the stun. I spent more time reading up on him on here than I did actually fighting him. And that was a LAYER 7.. lol!
I normally do Torghast with my husband on his elemental shaman, he raids and has way better gear than me, but he appreciates the heals during it, we can pull way more. However, it actually takes 2-3 times longer and more effort to do it with him than it does with me by myself. They've made torghast a breeze for healers. This run was actually the first time I actually had any sort of a challenge floors 1-5 where the enemies actually did pretty good damage. It made me think the boss might actually be challenging this time, as well. NOPE!

Killed him on level 7 with a ilvl 156 Demon Hunter. The key is to KEEP circling him while hitting him or he will one shot you with
震荡波
. Also make sure you jump away for
裂地
so he does not stun you and then one shot you with Shockwave. Never stop moving or the Shockwave can suddenly come and hit you. If you have the option earlier in the run, take the anima power that heals you when you hit a new mob and use that on the shards he summons. Ignore them otherwise, and just focus on the boss, always circling!

His skill rotation:
Ground Crush (Stun)
Shockwave (frontal cone aoe)
Crumbing Wall (rock fall with adds spawn)
Lumbering Might (boost his dps)
There's no one best way of doing this boss, depends on class and gear as well as anima power you got which may give you access to some crazy stuff.
but one head up thought is that, if you are not a class that excel in cleaving adds with boss, simply kite the adds to the front of him and dodge his shockwave so the shockwave would kill all the adds.
Don't get hit by Ground Crush as it will stun you follow by Shockwave which would be the killer.
He is extremely slow and can be kite as range, adds is his only solution to this.

This fight is total bullsh*t.
Resto Druid:
1. use increased speed along walls for advantage
2. try to buy thos e 30% increased dmg potions that last the whole fight
3. I tried for convoke reduced cooldowns and increased effectiveness
4. i kite him until he gets near me -- then i exploited the flicker thing (I was immune to dmg for a few seconds
5. I exploit the starsurge bonuses every 10 seconds
6. I ignore adds when possible
7. I had bad RNG (luck): When I get him at less than 10% I die immediately
NOTE: I think i should anticipate and use my roaor/flicker/boost to outrun him asap when he is really low -- then wait for a convoke to finish him while at the same time healing myself
This is a terrible fight -- he will be slow and dangerous to approach and when you CAN hit him he sticks to your butt and wont give up
resto druid solo wit no issues until last boss -- i lose 3 of 5 on floor 18's :(

Blizzard,
this isn't working...
the mechanics are too much, also just like the mechanics the spell affected areas is not clearly defined.
usually on the blurry edges there is some leeway, but here it’s a one-shot death trap if you have to ask yourself if you were on the line.
For an i195 mostly PVP geared balance druid, I should have blown thru this boss, but again the issues are related to ambiguity for the mechanics (as well as volume) and game play graphics.
thanks for the final boss 3d model on the vender level, I will wait some time before trying this guy again.

I had 229k health.
Had 13 lives available but only lost 4, all on this boss.
Metamorphosis lasted longer than its cooldown, so 100% uptime if needed.
Elysian Decree hit the boss twice for an average of about 1.25 million each.
What did the most damage, though, was Blade Dance at 2.94 million with the 250% damage buff.
With 30% dodge from using Blade Dance, 25% dodge from my steward, and 50% dodge from Blur I was basically invulnerable for all but the three seconds that Blur was on cooldown every 10 seconds. When that happened I would use Metamorphosis or Chaos Nova to stun him until the cooldown was over.
He must have had about 10 stacks each of

, could easily one-shot me, could easily outrun me at times, but because of all the dodge I had he only did 377k damage from a couple of hits. I even got hit by Shockwave once but it did 0 damage since, well, I dodged it.
It took four deaths, killed him on the fifth attempt but this was about the fifth time I'd tried to defeat Floor 8 Layer 18. This boss and

But I also had Negation Well to increase my jumps, so I just started kiting him around and keeping him locked down with chains and used my D&D plus 100% up time of Undertaker's Crown and he became the easiest boss fight yet.
