Located in the building guarding doctor weavile in alcaz isle in patch 7.1. It must be lowered to 30% health before being able to be tamed and hits like a truck and having several elite mobs in the area don't help best to get some people to help you tame this guy.
You will need to be a gnome or goblin or have learned the ability to tame mechs with mecha bond imprint matrix crafted by Engineers.

Since the blue version of this dog is based on Treble from Megaman, and the red version is based on Rush from Megaman (both robot dogs). I'm betting this one is based off of Dynomutt.

As a bm 863 hunter, this was an underwhelmingly easy tame. I even accidentally pulled Dr. Weavil.
Talent into Intimidation for an even easier time, keep your pet-tank alive and you can get it too.
I recommend bringing a friend if you aren't as well-geared.
As soon as he was below 30% I dismissed my pet and popped turtle shell and tamed him, feigned death to get rid of Weavil and had caught myself a new dog.

Things you'll need to get these pets.
The Mecha-Bond Imprint Matrix (or be a Gnome or Goblin).
To kill Dr. Weavil and loot him (or buy the key from someone else).
Subdue the proposed pet to 30% or below.
Lots and lots of patience and determination, if solo then better gear should help, or take a party.
When you attempt to fly over Alcaz, you get shot down.
At iLevel 846 BM hunter with a tenacity pet, I was able to solo most of these with care, a single add makes it very difficult, but possible. I died multiple times figuring out my tactics.
There are Hardened Defense Turrets all over the place as well various elite NPC's, at least these can be seen.
There are also hidden proximity mines, to avoid these, do not run in straight lines. This is awkward as it makes you more likely to aggro other NPC's.
Dr. Weavil is in the second story of the building in the main compound.
Dr. Weavil himself is not particularly hard to solo, but be prepared to rez your pet at least once whilst taking hits.
GU-4RD
was a tough tame, He guards Dr. Weavil one floor below. He killed my pet, but I was able to rez it before I died. Once it was below 30% health I dismissed my pet, hit Aspect of the Turtle and got the tame at approx 2% health remaining.
After the dog, I also collected the
Golden Arachnodrone
from the tower at the top of the hill, this was very similar to taming the robodog, two NPC's outside and one Hardened Defense Turret inside the tower.
Beware of Maximum Repair, which does exactly what it says on the tin, Interupt it with Intimidation or Counter Shot.
Good luck with obtaining your new pets!

Tips for the island
-Track Mechanicals will show the location of the mines. Zoom your minimap in and you can walk around them
-Nothing has truesight, Camouflage will get you past everything.
Also, if you can, fight the mechpuppy on the stairs to stop the adds aggroing.
Now I don't want to condone messing with someone else's tame, but this is something I noticed. If the buff that prevents taming has been knocked off (by someone DPSing him down to 30%) then the buff does not reappear if he resets.
I was trying to solo tame him on my MM hunter in 830ish gear and it's pretty tough to be be honest. I died and ran back. At which point a Night Elf was fighting him and got him past 30%. I stood aside and let him get on with it. However he died on the tame, so I thought I'd have another go. After I engaged I noticed he was missing the buff so tried dismissing pet and using my turtle/tame macro. It worked despite him being at nearly full health.
As I said, I don't condone pulling it off another hunter or doing anything to get them killed but the info might be useful if you're trying to tame in a group.
As a sidenote, he's a lot less noisy than Treble. He growls rather than barks.

Literally just tamed this guy moments ago, and he did not have to be below 30% life. I just walked up to him, popped turtle, hit tame and he was mine before I lost 50% of my life.
Super easy tame.

If you're looking to silence your Mechanowolves' constant growling fidget sounds
, just create six blank or silent OGG files.
Name these files...
mWolfAttack1.ogg
mWolfAttack2.ogg
mWolfAttack3.ogg
mWolfAttack4.ogg
mWolfAttack5.ogg
mWolfAttack6.ogg
and place them in the following WoW folder path...
World of Warcraft\Sound\Creature\Wolf
That will put a muzzle on their noisy trapjaws.
UPDATE: Due to data mining occlusion effort by Blizzard in patch 8.2, muting sound files by adding your own ogg files no longer works.
You can however, create your own addon to mute it.
First open a blank text file using Notepad in windows or any basic text editor you may have.
Copy and paste the following code in to it, and save it as MuteSounds.TOC
Note: Make certain TOC is the file extension, and not TXT. You may need to Google how to view file extensions in windows, if your file extensions are hidden from view.
## Interface: 80300
## Title: MuteSounds
## Author: ThisGuyYouKnow
## Version: 8.3.0
## Notes: Mutes annoying sound.
## DefaultState: Enabled
MechWolf.LUA
Next, open another blank text file and this time copy and paste the following code in to it. Save it as MechWolf.LUA
Note: Make certain LUA is the file extension, not TXT.
local sounds = {
564209, -- Sound/creature/wolf/mwolfattack4.ogg
564210, -- Sound/creature/wolf/mwolfattack1.ogg
564212, -- Sound/creature/wolf/mwolfattack6.ogg
564213, -- Sound/creature/wolf/mwolfattack2.ogg
564216, -- Sound/creature/wolf/mwolfattack3.ogg
564230, -- Sound/creature/wolf/mwolfattack5.ogg
}
for _, fdid in pairs(sounds) do
MuteSoundFile(fdid)
end
Next create a new addon folder inside your "C:\Program Files (x86)\World of Warcraft\_retail_\Interface\AddOns" folder. Name this folder "MuteSounds".
The file path to your World of Warcraft installation may differ from the example above.
Then copy and paste both of the files you created, MuteSounds.TOC & MechWolf.LUA, into this new MuteSounds folder.
Lastly start up the game and enjoy the silence.
This addon should be enabled by default unless you're creating this beyond patch 8.3.x. In which case you will need to update the Interface# in the TOC file, from 80300 to whatever the current number may be.
Find this number by running WoW, and at the login screen you'll see the Version number at the bottom left corner. Then convert it to the interface number.
For example, game version 8.0.0 was interface# 80000, 8.1.0 (a major patch) was 80100, 8.1.2 (a minor patch to 8.1) was 80102, and so on.
The version# in the TOC is just a note in game, you can update that as well if you like.
You can also create your own LUA files to mute other game sounds. for example...
Make another LUA file, but this time you might name it TigerJowls.LUA with the following code inside. Then place it in the MuteSounds folder along with your other LUA file.
local sounds = {
562388, -- was mtigerstand2a.ogg
}
for _, fdid in pairs(sounds) do
MuteSoundFile(fdid)
end
Note: You don't have to include the comment after each FD ID# (local sound #). The -- followed by the comment don't need to be there. I just included them to note what each number used to be as ogg sound files. However the comma after each number
does
need to be there.
Then edit your existing MuteSounds.TOC file and add TigerJowls.LUA to the bottom. Like this...
## Interface: 80300
## Title: MuteSounds
## Author: ThisGuyYouKnow
## Version: 8.3.0
## Notes: Mutes annoying sound.
## DefaultState: Enabled
MechWolf.LUA
TigerJowls.LUA
You may be wondering how to find the number associated with each sound in the game. Well you can find the FD ID# for each sound at the "WoW.Tools" website. Select "Files" at the top to browse, search and even listen to every sound in the game. This way you can find those sounds that annoy you, and make your own LUA to add to the list.
You can also just make one LUA file with a giant list of annoying sounds. However I found it easier to later undo specific sounds I muted by making a LUA for each category or subject I intended to mute. Then just remove that LUA's file name from the list in the TOC, preventing it from being loaded. It's entirely up to you.
ENJOY!

Keep in mind that GU-4RD doesn't have much HP. After the comments above/below and fighting the Doctor, I was expecting a monster of a fight. I'm moderately well-geared (i.level 865 with 881 weapon) and before I knew what was going on, he was down to 5% and I was scrambling to dismiss my pets so I could tame him before he died.
Some other tips I learned on the way:
--You can die/rez your way there, it takes 3 deaths if you rez at the maximum point from your body. For whatever reason, I couldn't find track mechanicals to let me see the mines, even though I used the item from an engineer.
--I failed miserably on the Doctor with my pet in Tenacity, but accidentally had my spirit beast on Ferocity and burned through the Doctor quickly and relatively easily. The Doc is basically you kill him or he kills you.
--If you have the legendary helm, it helps tremendously with the Doc fight, you can recoup 70% of your HP in feign death while your pets continue to burn him down.
--Be wary of fighting Doc on/near the steps, because the dog will aggro, he aggroed on one of my pets who was sitting at the very top of the steps, after I killed Doc, so he was pulled before I was ready to go, but it worked out.
--Like others have said, fight the dog on the steps, that way nothing downstairs aggros.
--The hardest part of this is getting there and killing doc. I had 40% HP left when I finished taming GU-4RD.
I named him Draug (Guard spelled backwards). ;)

For those of you trying to solo tame: he is immune to stun and freezing trap, so you're just going to have to power through it. If you're Beast Mastery Hati will last long enough for you to feign and rez your pet.

I feel SO lame saying this, but after taming and figuring out what to rename this guy, I realized that after removing the hyphens..... his name is Guarder in L33T. Guarder. Because he guards Dr. Weavil... Yep. I'm lame. I know. lol

Soloed this as a 919 BM Hunter. Sent in pets, had them growl and take aggro. Once at 30%, Dismissed pets, turtled and tamed. I found that it helps putting tame and dismiss on the action bars, instead of in their pop out button.

mind your trinkets/procs! I had Guarder down to 30%, hit tame, then a trinket proc'd and finished him off. =( Respawn appears to be 5-10 min tho.

Just tamed this guy by myself at LvL 110 item lvl 196 ! Was actually easy , once I got on the top floor of the building . I was killed at the entrance of the building so in spirit form I just walked right past him and rezed on top floor. To tame him I fought him on the stairs and I use my pets to get his health just a little below half way , then I dismissed my pets , shot him a couple times to get him below 30% and tamed him with no issues! The Hardest part was getting to the building he is in. Camouflage did not keep the machines from seeing me . Died 5 times .. ROFL ! He is on the second floor in the middle tallest Building ! Fighting him on the stairs like a previous comment said to do worked like a charm.

Unlike the other named mechanical dogs, Model GU-4RD-3R does not retain his name when tamed
EDIT: As of Patch 9.1 Model GU-4RD-3R now retain his name

Easy at Level 60 (Shadowlands). Respawns every five or so minutes. Was able to train as a Hunter but had to lower its health first.

Just in case like me you don't realize this and think this is a Ferocity pet, because it's listed under 'Wolves' on Petopia, this pet is classified as CUNNING
