Class Guides

Embed Talent, Honor Talents, and Artifact Calculator builds into the guide, with notes on each ability choice.

Leave tags specifying the skill level required for your build, and if it's suitable for different categories of PvE and PvP. Perhaps you're looking for a simple build for an alt, or something specifically for dungeons on your main.

Select stat weights and rank useful enchants, gems, and food.

Leave notes on any important items that impact your build, such as Legion Legendaries.

Previously-published Legion Talent guides have been converted to the new system.

We've split out the massive DPS guides into guides for each spec for better readability--you can still find guides for the other specs linked on the right-hand side of the guide page.

Instead of putting all the information on one page, we've broken it up into multiple pages. This gives us more flexibility and space to explain basic concepts like rotations or embed a talent calculator build.

Our Classes Page has gotten a facelift, with a new layout, more links, and guides that provide an overview for Tanking, Melee DPS, Ranged DPS, and Healing.

You can find class guides by going to http://www.wowhead.com/classes which is on the navigation menu at the top of each page, and we've also added links on our talent calculator pages.

To help with better gearing recommendations, we've been adding new item features in the past few months--stat weights now have values for different gear levels (currently ilvl 630, 705, 720, and 735 for 6.2), you can quickly compare two items (including DPS trinkets) at http://www.wowhead.com/upgrade, you can see detailed Warforged/socket variations when ranking items for a particular slot, and you can pin a character via the Profiler to get alerts if an item you're browsing is an upgrade or not.

Guide to Ranged DPS: Gameplay Tips and Class Selection

Those who do damage mostly to nearby enemies, or, as we call, enemies in melee range.

Those who do damage to enemies usually from a far distance.

Make sure to deal as much damage as possible.

Position yourself properly to make sure to be in range of your enemies and not standing in something bad.

Unless explicit told to, avoid to stay nearby other raid members.

Kill enemies quickly so tanks and healers can have an easier time.

Patch 6.0.2: The Iron Tide hits with a special prelaunch event featuring the Iron Horde. This features an instance with special armor and a new Blasted Lands questline that can only be completed for a few weeks.

Completing the level 90 version of 黑石塔上层 rewards special ilvl 550 loot, some of which resembles popular old items. We've included loot tables and strategies in our guide.

Completing the Blasted Lands questline rewards 钢铁星弹 and <Of The Iron Vanguard>.

锋锐之霜 now deals 4% additional weapon damage (up from 2%), and increases Frost damage by 2% 4% per stack (down up from 3%).

now increases all damage dealt by 15% ~~20%~~, instead of increasing rune regeneration rate.

now increases your ~~critical strike chance~~, Multistrike chance, haste, and Stamina by 10% (up from 9% to Stamina only), reduces the chance for attacks to be parried by 3%, increases the damage of 灵界打击 by 100%, and grants 1 Runic Power per second while in combat.

We've changed the combat rotations of each 猎人 specialization (primarily through Ability Pruning) with the goal of them being a platform to build upon with talents. To facilitate this, we've modified several talents to add additional rotational depth. 猎人s had many talent options which added abilities to their rotation, but most of them had quite simple usage, with little interaction with your rotation or other abilities. Now, there should be more of a variety; still some simple talents, but also some talents that create a more engaging combat rotation.
弹幕射击 now has a 20 second cooldown (down from 30 seconds), costs 60 Focus (up from 30 Focus), and its damage has been increased by 100%.

Murder of Crows has been changed. Its duration, cost, and cooldown have been reduced by 50%. It no longer has a shorter cooldown when used on low health targets. Instead, its cooldown is reset if the target dies.

热情 has been replaced with a new passive ability, Steady Focus.
Steady Focus increases Focus Regeneration by 50% for 10 seconds after using or 稳固射击 twice in a row, or after using .

生存专家the chance to Multistrike by 10%猎人

can no longer be used to heal the Mage's Water Elemental.

The Brain Freeze effect now increases 冰风暴's damage by 25% ~~15%~~, and can now stack up to 2 times. It also no longer triggers from the Bomb Talents, and instead has a 10% chance to trigger from casts. Each Multistrike of Frostbolt increases that cast's chance by an additional 25%. (Total of 60% on double-Multistrikes).

力贯千钧 now triggers every 15 seconds (up from every 20 seconds), and also triggers from (for Mistweavers only), but no longer triggers from 碎玉闪电.

无私治愈 no longer causes to apply to 圣光闪现. For Holy Paladins, it now increases the healing of 圣光闪现 on others by 35% per stack (up from 20%). For Retribution and Protection Paladins, the effect on 圣光闪现 remains unchanged.

圣光道标 now has a small Mana cost.

圣光道标's effects have been changed and merged into baseline 圣光道标.
圣光道标 now causes 圣光闪现 and 圣光术 on a 圣光道标 target to refund 40% of the spell's Mana cost instead of generating 1 Holy Power.

暗言术：痛's initial damage is now considered direct damage, not periodic damage.
and are no longer able to trigger from this initial direct damage.

now grants 影袭 a 25% chance to generate an extra Combo Point (up from 20%) ~~deals 20% more damage~~, but no longer advances .

治疗石's cooldown will now not reset until the player leaves combat. Healing from this ability is now a flat amount (instead of a % of maximum health) and can no longer be a Critical Effect.

鬼影缠身 now increases periodic damage by 30% (down from 35%).

Mastery: has been slightly changed. It now passively increases all damage by 6% regardless of form. While in , it further increases the damage of , 混乱波浪, , 献祭光环, and 灵魂之火 while by 12%.

now increases all damage by 30% (up from 20%) while using one-handed weapons.

now increases damage by 10% (down from 15%).

Protection: : 盾牌猛击 deals 50% additional damage while 盾牌格挡 or 盾牌冲锋 is active.

We also expanded to affect all damage, not just Physical damage, and increased its duration slightly so that it can cover burst windows like 巨人打击 adequately.
