The day I got both the helm off KJ and the chest off Muru because the person above me in DKP fell asleep.

My "most epic" drop ever wasn't a drop, per se. It was me finally being able to walk in to the Champion's Hall after weeks and weeks of PVPing on my Paladin. Remember way back when... before "honor points" were a currency? When you had to dedicate yourself to PVP to reap any true rewards? When there was no such thing as cross-realm battlegrounds, and everyone knew each other? Well, those were awesome times.I logged in that Tuesday afternoon, saw that I had finally hit rank 6, and proudly walked in to the Champion's Hall to look around at this relatively rare zone. I remember feeling so "cool" when my friends asked how I got in there.I miss the old days, way before BC came out. I have 3 gigs of screenshots, 4 years worth of WoW, I LOVE looking through them and remembering old friends and events. :)
Probably winning this against another hunter with a greed roll of 22.Ah, the good old days.
Sinister Squashling, all the way.
The most epic thing that has happened for me was I got the Brewfest Kodo and Brewfest ram on the same kill when my friend predicted it would drop for me :P
I think I'll go with the Tabard of the Argent Dawn this time. I've been a fan of the Argent Dawn/Crusade for the longest time ever (and the Scarlet Crusade before its corruption), and I really regret how I could never attend the first Scourge Invasion, hence - no tabard. Needless to say, I was really excited when I spotted hints of second Scoureg Invasion. The moment I saw the tabard back in play, I so totally bought it. Now, that I am also known as the "Argent Champion", I am one acomplished Argent Crusader.*cough* Forum name *cough*
I got it today, actually - my brand spanking new Tunic of the Lost Pack. I was invited to a Naxxramas run today by a good friend of mine whose guild run was one DPS short. When we got to Heigan the Unclean, it was clear that a vast majority of our DPS was not familiar with the Heigan Dance. At about 40%, every DPSer but me died - it was our MT, two healers, and myself.18 minutes and a godly number of Mammoth Cutters later, Heigan was dead. When the master looter saw the Tunic on the corpse, he declared without question that it was going to me and that anyone who disagreed should suck it and learn how to dance. :)
Well, this will probably seem a bit cliché, but my Pillar of Ferocity was the most epic drop I've gotten. I never raided much preBC, and was in a very small guild until we merged with a much larger guild. My very first raid with the new guild was Hyjal (Gruul had been the extent of my 25 man experience up to then). I was nervous and eagerly wanted to prove myself to the new guildies. Well, they had never killed Anetheron, my guild showed up new to the instance in general. We breeze through the first boss, wipe it up a few times on Anetheron, then we finally down him. It was a great bonding moment with the new guild - and lo and behold, the Pillar drops. First kill with this guild and for myself. It was amazing, and I was very lucky to be the only feral druid in there for that run, seeing as how there were 3 other ferals that offtanked from time to time.Ralias of The Seventh TrumpetBlade's Edge
Probably the most epic drop or rather (epic-ly notable) was fishing up Old crafty in Orgrimmar. Everyday between BGs and all my spare time I spent fishing. It took me over two weeks of fishing with no sign of stopping. However one night I had stayed up late doing BG's with my guild, really tired and half falling asleep. ( I kept my fishing skill on a hotkey button and clicked over and over to go faster.) Not really paying attention the box came up "This is item is bind when picked..." My eyes saw it but my finger didn't register fast enough when it clicked the fishing button again and Old crafty was lost into the waters of Orgrimmar once again. I haven't been able to catch him since!Nothing like catch and release :(
