It's not just borrowed power this time around, it's cubicled power—we only get to use it in our designated workstations.
this is lame asf
Thank you Blizzard for over 11 years of WoW. The time to quit has come for me. Constant pruning and disabling certain items and fun has led this game feel very dull. It has lost the magic that WoW had. I can only try to understand why Activision Blizzard makes such bad decisions.
This is not different that Class hall abilities in Legion or Garrison abilities in Draenor. Why do people think they have to be overpowered by some special ability to play this game anymore?
Hope WoWhead mods don't nuke my question but the hell is wrong with Blizzard? Did someone die as a lead designer and left it to a High School After School Project?Seems at every turn this expansion their trying to mess with the players.
Are you joking
I can see the logic, but if you are going to make arbitrary exclusions like arathi basin and warsong gultch still allowing the use of these shadowlands abilities, then the logic goes out the window. If instanced pvp allows for it why wouldn't the rest of the world? With no new BGs this means almost all pvpers are playing in azeroth with shadowlands abilities but can't use their abilities right outside the door...
To the total morons on forums saying this "makes sense": How does removing the 2 abilities from Shadowlands covenants make sense but keeping conduits/soulbinds, covenant transmogs, legendary items and effects from torghast, literally every crafting item from the zones such herbs and mines (selling them on AH BTW!), hunter pets etc. is totally acceptable by that logic? There are a million things from the Shadowlands that you bring back with you on Azeroth. The legendary item effects (some) are more powerful than a covenant ability. The lich king's helmet literally comes from the Maw. Seriously do you even give a second thought to your comment or just jump on the comment train and type something for the sake of typing it?This is just... ...makes me more and more apathetic towards supporting this game. The Blizzard devs are total clowns and incompetent about understanding what makes their game fun to play. Literally no one asked for this.
Seriously what is the purpose of doing this? Why make everyone grind all this borrowed powder, then deny the ability to use it in past expac content we've already done?
worst news to come out yet.
Guys it's for lore reasons. Just like you'll be able to use the powers of the Shadowlands in Alterac Valley :)Blizzard, you're making the game, you're making the story, and there's magic in both. Here's how you make it fit your cute little irrational focus on limiting fun for lore reasons:Your covenant leader goes Wooooooooooooooooooo and has channeled the powers originating from the Shadowlands within you!Psssst, by the way, Soulbind. Bound to your soul, which traverses the veil with you. No one can even use the "well it's in an item usually" excuse. It's in your damn soul...
Makes perfect sense. Get the power in the shadowlands why would it work outside if it
Imagine during TBC they announced all the new talents and abilities then said but if u guys leave outlands you go back to classic abilities and everything you gained is lost lmao
I don't see anything good about this change tbh, Its literally "fun detected". There is a big difference of something that makes sence and something thats fun. This makes sence in the lore yes, but its not fun at all... How a blizzard so insanely bad at making these dissension?
what were they thinking
LOL and also outside the game.
