I'm very exited about this! How long has it been, since the players saw real innovation? And just imagine: the "Blizzard polish", pushing release dates untill the game is right, really balancing quality and profit to fit all needs. What you read in these interviews should be the philosophy of every company, not just game devs.Reading this, my mind goes: "Hooray for common sense"And to all the haters:get some love in your life, you desperately need it :)This news made my day, the world is a slightly better place now, just for that.
This is so wholesome.
Thank you <33333
Mike Morhaime is a good man, and the fact that he's starting a publisher with a focus on "product rather than short term returns" really makes me think he was quietly pushed out of the company. It is no surprise that when Mike left, we began to see the 6-month store mounts and paid-for toys. I hope him the best, and for Activision to have a major shift in monetization methodology.
Wait and see what the games are like. I probably won't bother playing any of them, and I also won't flame people on the internet based on speculation.
Very curious
Why do they stick to the L.A. area? It's an overprized hell hole.
Well, good luck to them. I look forward to seeing what they come up with.
Hopefully they pay their employees better.
Interesting. Very, very interesting. This has a lot of potential to become the "old Blizzard" spiritual successor, but historically speaking chances are just as high for it to turn into a Mighty number 9 type situation. So while I see a ton of potential, I'm not gonna get hyped up just yet.
It just #$%^ing depresses me that they couldn't change Blizzard from the inside and save the IP I love. I don't want other games, I want my Warcraft back. And if even the President couldn't save it, no one can.
Oh this is interesting. Here's to hoping it goes well!
Maybe the last people finally understand that nothing is left what Blizzard was in the past. All those people that left Blizzard after Morhaime was gone, too. Nobody at Blizzard is left that was the core. Blizzard is just Activision nowadays. Also, this quote from Morhaime:
