I’m guessing they will probably announce it after the last Afterlives short. That’s my best guess
I thought it was kind of weirth there where no signs of this last patch closing with the rep buff and the pvp just going on! Cool to see you guys see the same signs. What do you guys think is the shortest pre-patch possible? I'd say if they really have over committed the launch day, maybe even as short as 1 week?
I hope the pre-patch is short. I want more time getting last minute achievements done. There doesnt seem to be a lot of content in the prepatch, and the massive changes and loss of corruption feels bad without the new stuff added in Shadowlands. I remember that purgatory of losing our artifact weapons but not being able to get azerite gear during the BFA prepatch. It wasnt fun.
I'd say September 29th is the likeliest date. 3 weeks for the pre-patch for people to get their bearings seems to be on the short end of things.
I want to level alts already. Just release it!
Still think, wish, want, need it to be 22nd. BfA has become worse than WoD for me, with all the bloated Azerite Traits, Essences and Corruption $%^&. At least in Legion, they gave us unlucky bastards with limited playtime a chance to play with Legendary items at the end to at least feel a bit of the power they provided. But this $%^&, the RNG of BfA, is pissing me off.Gimme a new story to play through before a new endgame with horrific rng will piss me off again.
I'm voting for the 29th. They comfortably have an extra week if they need it without throwing people into a panic, but I think they'll stick to their "program".
My opinion : Prepatch : 23.9.2020 or 29.9.2020 ... hopefully , sooner is better, this BFA is so bad, i cant play it anymore
I still think they're gonna release it the week after the last Afterlives short, so in 2 weeks from now. But who knows. Just hoping they can fix enough bugs in time
Still praying for the unused tier 3 warfront set.
By the state of PTR and the Beta i doubt it will be on 29th. 6th or 13th sound much more plausible. Expansion delay too.
I'd guess the pre-patch release to be September, 24. Therefore it's one week after the fourth Afterlive video and we'll have four weeks to raid icecrown and doing all the daily stuff (which also will have at least two waves, so a four week pre-patch will be likely)
I'm currently guessing the 29th of September for the prepatch. That gives players 4 weeks to get used to the new character creation changes and leveling experience before Shadow Lands launches. There would be room for the two weeks of the prepatch story line and a couple weeks of just zombie invasions. The story previews we've seen harks back strongly to Wrath, so I tend to think a similar timeline would be likely.I'm a tiny little bit disappointed that it won't be happening on the 22nd of September. I could have done a "Special! Birthday stream with World of Warcraft Shadow Lands Prepatch!" which would have been major fun for me.
They have stated many times that they no longer have to have a patch to end or start a PVP Season. So it may not end with Pre Patch is launched and stateing Shadowlands is going to be on the short side is a rather dumb assumption. It c an still happen on the 22nd. They said it would be about 4 weeks before the expansion launched, so it is likely the 29th though.
