Nobbel's breathing intensifies...
A few people were trying to figure out what map that Draka stole from the Legion camp, and closest answer came to Stranglethorn Vale. https://imgur.com/a/FTmEc50The map: https://i.imgur.com/cAj2RQY.png
I actually think it was bad they reused assets. Not because “cutting corners”, but because people honestly couldn’t tell what they were seeing due to meta knowledge that the assets had been used before. It doesn’t help that felguards look like some of the Maldraxxus races.Definitely a storytelling misstep in my opinion.
And people yelled about lazyness from Blizzard... For nothing. A picture in a cinematic is never a accident or lazyness. Each picture have a sense, a purpose. It's a really good thing to have a confirmation for the theory, wich was really credible. Two cinematics when the characters travel outside... Maybe Ardenweald will show the same, with the wild gods, and Revendreth.. Will see, maybe with the Light. Thanks for the article Wowhead. :)
I think the anger now is going to be shifting towards anger that Shadowlands races can leave the Shadowlands.
I'm genuinely baffled that the loudest, most immediate reaction to this shot was "lol blizz so lazy".
Hmm. Fighting the Legion makes sense but I can't fathom what the Necrolords need with one of their maps.
Oh those 10 pages of comments with "bLiZzArD bEiNg lAzY" from yesterday's article. Where are they now? (Taran Zhu's voice)
I'm not surprised at all. In fact, I was sure this was the case - repurposing a frame like that is a great way to tell us "this is the same world" and that's a great way to show, not tell, when it comes to storytelling. It's unfortunate that people are so quick to jump the gun and trash-talk Blizzard, when in fact they've shown they're really trying to communicate and work with our feedback unlike ever before, and that they really care about delivering Shadowlands as a great experience to please us, their longtime fans.
