Well that sucks.
dang :D i bought all skystep potions a while ago b/c the market crashed. was thinking of selling them again wenn the next m+ season startsRIP my gold
Oh and rip my huge stock on invis potions too ggs
Darkwater Potion, does "ineffective" mean no Jinyu costume or just no movement effect?
RIP sneaking potion wtf.
Blizz has quietly nerfed many movement speed increases on Beta that leagacy raid/dungeon speed runners have been utilizing. The Azerite Longstrider trait now caps at 1% increase per piece. Legion legendaries are becoming legacy items. Movement speed potions are now also nerfed and the replacement is much weaker. Unfortunate for those of us who enjoy that aspect of the game.
I dunno about them, but to me, a healthy economy is one that is unregulated. The fact that old content stuff is still being used only proves that those designs were good. Blizz has come up with so many lame items for professions, and they cannot tolerate a few good items out of each expansion. It's like everyone is getting punished.
Oh its EXPECTED? when when have they EVER nerfed potions like that? It's not expected its dumb as ^&*!.
Constantly adding a “not usable above level 50” on profession crafts is bad game design. This is like the “legacy item - bonus inactive” BS they’ve introduced. Won’t lie sick of seeing this crap
Don't know about everyone else, but I love having everything I own suddenly become trash after one level./Sarcasm
Man, lately people have been talking a lot about the "RPG aspect" of certain things coming/returning in SL, but I feel like this change is detrimental to the RPG feel of the game. Not even just the speed potion thing, if it was just about the speed pots they could easily nerf the old ones to 70% movement speed, but with all the other random potions that just won't be usable above level 50. Like, I'm not aware of any situation where stuff like that was OP, but I always thought it was cool how there were things like semi-obscure swim speed potions for a little boost the rare times you ever have to swim for a while. If stuff like Free Action Potion is too strong for PVP just make it unusable in rated PVP. I feel like people only ever use stuff like that in super niche situations, which is what makes it kinda cool. I mean come on, how can something called "Sneaking Potion" not contribute to the RPG flavor of the game? And I doubt Sneaking Potions are problematic for the game's balance or contributing to major exploits or something.Another interesting aspect of the current system in terms of RPG flavor/customization, usually most people just buy whichever expansion's speed potion is cheapest, but I'm willing to bet a million gold there's SOMEONE out there that still buys Skystep potions even if they're more expensive, just because the spell effect looks cooler than Lightfoot Potion. It just seems weird to me. As others have pointed out, they're basically shoehorning people into the current expansion as far as professions go, which is just going to make the economic side of the game less diverse, less interesting. Just feels like the opposite of MMO-flavor to just cut off 99% of the usefulness of herbs from every continent except the current expansion's continent.
this is stupid, why not just make them ineffective in shadowlands zones only. i like using old pots for older content. just why
Really crap decision. No reason to mess with older potions. Make the newer potions better instead. Stop being stingy with things like movement speed.
First real change in SL that I hate, now I feel like I have to make all my characters engi just so I have some reasonable movement speed.
I don't understand why they are restricting the invis potions. They have always worked at any level.
any why? Because of the maw. they want to make you slooooooow. they argue that "we dont want do push players to use the items".then fu... dont make a zone like the maw where you even cant mount.
BOOOOO
