Because of all this 'can and can't do" aweful system, really takes away from this game. I thought you were dumming down everything. This is one of the reasons I have stayed away from this type of game play. lol....What happened to the days as a group, run in, kill the boss(s) then leave. What we have now is: DRINK POTION NOW so we can kill a boss(s) then drink potion LATER so we can continue to kill the remainder boss(s).It's only a FREAKING GAME Blizz! Why don't you make the boss(s) killable without potions. I mean just have a healer and (shall I say it) a buffer (like it used to be) in the group.Anyways, thanks for listening and I prolly missed the mark on my responses. But this kind of crap really bugs me to no end. Blizzard guts the characters to only add different problems. They just didn't think this all through. Now come the bandaids which doesn't really resolve the problem. It makes even more and different problems which adds a sour taste.I thought wow was supposed to be fun...hmmm...I must have missed the sign post that said it isn't anymore.Appreciate all your hard work.
It is not difficult for me to understand how this change will affect the WoW economy once the potion change is implemented. Potions and Herb prices will go down, and less people will farm mats needed for them. In turn, this will "balance" some of the demand on the AH in line with other professions and slow the rate alchemy sells and lessen the need for cancel-scanning on the AH. After all, the largest demand on all of the realms, the hardware, the read-writes the game has to read per millisecond comes from mass-herb gathering and Alchemy sales and cancel-scans to remain competitive amongst other professions not as in demand in comparison. Also, don't forget that there will still be needs for flasks and cauldrons, which have an affect on consumers that persist through death still. And with the Alchemist's Pouch Alchemist's Pouch as an optional crafting reagent for armor, without needing to learn Alchemy to use the benefit, maybe potions as well will last longer on wearers of armor created with Alchemist's Pouches, and this could affect armor crafting choices in Shadowlands. So this would keep Alchemy profitable as it always has been, just in a different way.
I honestly didn't use a single battle potion in all of BfA. At an average cost of 750-1k gold PER POTION on my server, it was just way too expensive to be practical. Unless that changes in Shadowlands, I couldn't care less what Blizz does with the cooldowns.
