Umbric with leadend is just so bad. If you have something that can break or disregard the snare like freedom or a teleport it's easier. But having to run the full length of the gauntlet multiple times as a solo melee really does suck. Now that he only does it two times it will be easier but... I still just really wish that affix couldn't be present in that area. It's fine everywhere else. But with Umbric is just overly punishing.
Never had a problem with the Leaden affix. All I did was hit up Kelsey's and Shaw's areas every time. Glad I read the comments before taking on this week's visions.
Leaden Foot is really nothing compared to Split Personality on Terenson, Shaw, Boundless Corruption, Zardeth and Umbric where they will trap you where you get the choice of moving out into a sanity drain or stay in for a sanity drain. Add to that that if you are safe, it's almost always when Dark Imagination's spawn will Dark Smash your tiny little safe spot.I started off with 4 masks as practice for 5, and it was hell. I made it with less than 100 sanity left, so there's no way I'm doing 5 masks. Alleria is still, by far, the worst part of it. There will be times where you can't interrupt the poly cast as a melee, so you wander in a circle losing sanity from burned bridge and the eyeball (since as a sheep you will randomly face all directions). Then the rest of the time you just spend running and hiding. I even kept the center clear of bombs, which helped, but since she always casts poly right after Void Eruption and Chains of Servitude, there's a high chance you'll have to face the eyeball to get back to her to do it, but usually there isn't a clear path to her anyway, so you just have to eat it. I ate a Void Eruption behind a pillar once too. Maybe my elbow was poking out or something. Eyeball + poly is the only way you should lose sanity on 5 masks, but it's such a crazy fight.Add to that the unavoidable sanity loss on bosses and mini-bosses at high masks (mostly because they live long enough to do things):- Inquisitor Darkspeak casts Agonizing Torment more often than can be interrupted by 1 player, and is immune to CC- Armsmaster Terenson's Blade Flourish's first tick is nigh unavoidable. Clear out the other side by the tavern, then pull her out of that tiny hole she's in- Alx'kov the Infested casts Blight Eruption if you're in combat long enough, guaranteeing the sanity hit- Magister Umbric you have to interrupt Entropic Missiles, so for non-Druids you get poly'd and walk around in your burned bridge. Thankfully, that's not multiplied by Daredevil at leastI hope in 2 weeks there won't be Split Personality, so I just have to manage the unavoidable sanity loss, and 80% cloak should be more than enough. But I'm not trying anymore this week.
No point doing 5 masks solo while Split Personality is up
Getting aggro from tumors, eyes and random passive mobs makes leaden foot so painful in the mage district. I have no problem with umbric as a lock (my pet stops his cast well before i can get there), but it makes the mage district last twice as long as it should and any accidental detours become extremely punishing.
It seems that Umbric now cancels his channel cast after hunter pet reaches him, that wasn't a case 2 weeks ago for me...
- Inquisitor Darkspeak casts Agonizing Torment more often than can be interrupted by 1 player, and is immune to CCAs a NE Hunter, feign + shadowmeld also work to interrupt, or at least delay the cast often enough for a kill when my interrupt is still on CD.
I have just given up 5 masks for this week. The amount of sanity I lose because of split personality is just insane. Usually I deemed 2 madness affixes not that problematic, but holy hell, this time it's only this one that just &*!@s you up heavily.
This week settled it; no more corrupted sw runs ever for this gamer. Died twice due to leaden foot in mage district, 2 vessels worked for and now lost, multiple days of dailies rendered pointless. From now on, it's org only for me.
Don't worry, there will be nerfs eventually
I wish someone drew a map of mage quarter and gave the best routes. I get a little lost.
To those having trouble with this week's vision, just stick to Kelsey's and Shaw's areas. Easiest to do, plus with the increased Coalesced Visions from the dailies, get 4 vessels so you can do those areas without too much trouble.
Sorry to be the wet blanket on all this, but I simply find these visions incredibly un-fun. Farming to get currency to do a 2 minute part of the game? Eesh. All the while knowing in a few months it's all for nothing. I'm mostly taking a break from the game right now because of the current state, and am very glad for doing so.
Yay, just got my Mad World achievement :DIncredibly lucky though. Never found this many +sanity potions and still had some very close encounters with death (or sanity loss).
