"This is an issue with mail delivery" ..... - So, it works just like normal real life Mail delivery then,...hehe :) /s (well, kinda,...) :)
I think its safe to just not use the ah for a little while. Not all the addons have updated to 8.3 anyways, and the prices are influx right now anyways. People are already crashing some item values by undercutting past their mat values, while other things are so ridiculously inflated that they're not going to sell until someone decides instead of 9k it should be 100g and tank yet another item. Like, I understand the intent of LIFO, but it just serves to artificially stagnate the market.oof.
Phew, I hope they're right that "nothing has been lost", I've sold a few stacks of anchor weeds and got no gold (they're not on the ah anymore), would be a bummer if they just took away both my items and my gold.
Personally, I blame the Mail Muncher.
Imagine having total 400k gold a day on 4 realms pre patch and avg 6k a day after patch with banks full of materials which were bought for 70% of current item value. I cannot sell anything. Old AH based on laziness of buyers and it was big money, if you were an intellectual you could manipulate stacks to get even more. Farmers were resonable with posting large amounts of things becouse it would take them more and more time to repost. Now some Billy gets there with their 10 multibox farmers and posts 70k of zin anthid for nothing with one click, but you won't buy it becouse you will bankrupt, but anyways why would you do that if billy goes there again and posts another 90k of zin anthid with one click. DONT EVEN TRY TO UNDERRCUT BILLY becouse he will cancel and repost it for even less with TWO CLICKS. In the old days Billy wouldnt bother doing that and just wait and repost next day. I've had nightmares about new AH and im not too happy now. We will wait we will see. I am personally a fan of new things but this one... this one scares me that i will quit goldmaking.
I really hate how the AH works now.
it's funny, as a buyer I read all these comments from people complaining about how they don't like the new AH system, and all I see is people whining about how they cant rip people off anymore because buyers can finally buy exactly how much they want instead of being forced to buy an entire stack at a grossly overinflated price by some greedy person. furthermore, seeing people complain about how multiboxers are ruining their extortion attempts is just plain hilarious. maybe, instead of complaining about it, you should try not selling trade goods at such ridiculously high prices....As someone who pretty much exclusively buys items, with only occasional selling, I love the fact that I no longer have to spend the better part of a quarter of my available playing time at the auction house trying to buy trade goods in bulk. now, instead of spending 1-2 HOURS a night trying to buy mats, I only have to spend 10-20 seconds. the mailing system is problematic, for sure, and until they can resolve the issue of only seeing 16 stacks per mail, I will be having to buy in stacks of 16 instead of everything available below my price cutoff in one go. overall, I love the new AH, and once the issues are all sorted out, I look forward to no longer being so thoroughly ripped off and spending so much time doing it...
This system was designed to empower and content the clueless, unskilled, self-centered, selfish, greedy casuals (and most casuals at all), and to restrict the actual players and to break the freedom that made the system fair and interesting. Of course said casuals like it as they only benefit from it while forcibly receiving more from others, with even less of input and thinking required from them.
I'll have to have a talk with Katy about the mail delivery.

Amateur gold maker here - love the new auction house, it's long overdue, the interface on buying commodoties is really well designed. What's best for the vast majority of players is what's best for the game, most of the time.Bringing in the features of Auctionator baseline, doing away with the "1c undercuts" which didn't mean anything but annoyed people, while still preserving the goblin gameplay of relisting to be first (that's all LIFO does, replicate the old undercut without an actual undercut)... it's a really positive set of changes that updates a very dated system, makes it a better experience for almost everyone, that doesn't actually harm those who enjoy playing the auction house that much either - yes, we lose pretty-stacking, but that's about it. The new filters arguably improve many markets and increase buyers. Good job Blizzard!I'm making less for unrelated reasons (new boxes from island currency flooding my profitable Xmog flipping business!) - but I like those boxes, because I can see things from other peoples perspectives :pTeething issues with bugs, and all commodities essentially being fully reset with the maintenance, will quickly pass.
I like it. Scrolling through ten thousand listings was hellish.
No more will I be able to piss off people with my stacks of one's and build a wall, :(
