I wont mind it if they made the game non-linear and with more than one endings from now on forward.
I'm glad that it's not like: "everyone turns on Sylvanas" and that there are some other sleeper agents besides player loyalists. I simply follow Sylvanas for a few reasons, few of them are:1. As I explained to wowheadfan555, it's just a video game where we can be a "baddie". Why not explore that option? I played Sith back in Star Wars The Old Republic and it had some fun moments, we'll see where Bliizard takes this. 2. Second reason is also simple, I'm like Sylvanas when it comes to death. I'm scared of it. Thinking about death as an endless, eternal sleep is simple and not that scary. But there are times when I try to imagine true death - nothingness. All my memories good and bad, special moments in life, all my connections with my family, friends or "enemies". All that makes me, me. Gone, just nothing, emptiness, I try to imagine that at times and get sudden panic attack, that extreme fear. So, I can simply relate to her and understand her obsession with obtaining immortality. 3. Sylvanas is one of the major reasons I went Horde, all the other leaders are a big bore to me. Perhaps Lor'themar but it looks like Baine is gonna become the Warchief next so.. yeah. If Blizzard will ever kill Sylvanas I'll probably go Alliance since Jaina is second on my favourites list. In the end I'm happy that it is not over. For the Dark Lady. Always.

My main is a bloodelf hunter. How would he not follow the legendary Sylvanas Windrunner? Oh, honour you say? Sorry, not interested, nor is your character, if you're completely honest and not talking about the currency. It's fame or adventure or both it is you are after. My computer game character that might have little to do with how I personally view things in the real world is a backstabbing sociopath, only in the game for personal enrichment. He might also not like the basic architecture of humans as much as the interesting structures races of the Horde raise, but that's about it for loyalty. He learned the wonders of engineering to be as independent as possible, making alliances merely a shortlived affair of giving and a lot of taking. He is also a bit delusional, sometimes. When Sylvanas finally told him bits and pieces of what his efforts were for, he immediately jumped to the conclusion of becoming even more powerful, unkillable even if he were to follow her lead to the end. He also wears an eye on his head, because he deluded himself into thinking he could trick an old god. Lol.(I would race change to undead if I had the money xdd)Now, if you were to ask my other characters, who are yet to experience the absolute suffering Azeroth has to offer for her inhabitants, they aren't big Silviefans at all.I'd completely ditch this game if I had too little creativity to come up with my characters beyond race-class-specialization, and I'm not even playing on RP-Servers. The storytelling experiments starting with the demon hunter loyalty quest and finding even more ground since the old Orc tried to establish a rebellion against the warchief, are absolutely welcome additions to the game. I wish more and more such "real" decision moments would make it to WoW to really flesh out who your characters are. Even if it's just fluffy flavour, I really love that Blizzard gave Sylvanas loyal characters (those who stay on her side after the gates of Orgrimmar) hope, as ironic as that is. We are not alone. For the dark lady. Always.
Something which would very interesting, but which Blizz will never do, is to actually allow factional conflict depending on who you chose. If you're so fervorous with the Lich Queen, when you ultimately betray Org and become a part of whatever cryptic plan she has... you should be no longer allowed in Org. Or et cetera with the rest, some towns are locked out for example, but whatever town is allied with the Lich Queen becomes available to you, and when you've chosen the Horde those become locked out to you. And you get your own factional city wherever she chooses to set up shop, an exclusive faction, and whatever else might be needed. While I think it should be no matter what, because people cry about losing access to content, maybe this choice occurs when you have a "Represent!" debuff (so it can't be willingly removed). This is not unlike the Ordos shenanigans from Timeless Isle, except it'll work a lot more like Bloodsail vs Steamwheedle. You become hostile to both NPCs and players who chose otherwise, only while you have the debuff, gain reputation with the faction unique to whomever you sided with (Horde Loyalists vs Sylvanas Loyalists), and et cetera. For limiting factors, you couldn't gank people who haven't/can't make a choice yet, this would only occur for the next expansion, and maybe being allowed to reconsider your choice. This ultimately stems from "if players are allowed to choose Sylvanas in a conflict between her and the horde, why is there no penalty when the horde "suffers" from her." I'm not talking about how the former loyalists are being treated, if you're allied with Sylvanas and she is enemies of the horde, why should you be allowed in the horde's areas. If you're the one to slide that dagger in the next Warchief's back, showing that you're with Sylvanas, the horde shouldn't be OK with that... right? But I don't think Blizz will introduce this. This would be a great way to add impact to your choice, a whole "choose villain, be villain" instead of "choose villain, be hero", but this could also cause another faction imbalance on servers. Even if temporary, it'd be now Alliance, Horde, and Sylvanas in PvP and WC, so we could say it's 1/2, 1/4, 1/4. Dividing factions would be fun, but not good in the long haul.
I liked DA:O where you could play a bad guy... that is not the point. The problem is the back and fort of the rules, etc.In game it can be blurry, but there should be clear answers from Blizzard.
How do they know you are also a Banshee Loyalist hiding amongst the Horde when everyone else is none the wiser? You have buff. All NPCs can see that,,,
I definitely agree 'Kerriganing' Sylvanas or trying to justify her actions beyond her own beliefs would ruin the character and the story beyond repair, not to mention it would be a slap in the face to her followers.
