I mean... nerfs aside, they're number 1 for a reason.
I mean if you could raid 18 hours a day you'd be top guild too
They dont raid 18 hours a day... lolAt most it was 10 hours a day. Its jsut your average working schedule, and I am talking home to work to home including possible travel times..... lol
The higher you go up in the guilds that progress the boss the more you see that any good mythic raider could be part of the top 10 guilds in the world if they had the time. You need generally speaking 10-14 hours a day to raid at the start of the tier + time to level upp all alts grind and farm everything else.I honestly believe there are more capable raiders than a big majority of methods raiders that are in the top 100 in a 3 day raiding guild but they will never reach that because of the things mentioned above. On top of everything being a full time streamer helps with that and 2 big things i left off.If you have a girlfriend and you can raid 3-4 days a week and mantain a character that's already a rarity imagine not spending almost any time if you also work ,and there is also the fact that alot of people will just burn out if they play that much. So i will give method's people the fact that they have huge dedication for this but that also this doesn't necesarily mean they are the most skilled, not by a long shot. If we ever want to see that blizzard should open the race to world first on special tournaments with normalized gear and limited raiding hours(4 per day). At that point anyone with a full time job can participate and show actual skill not just who has the biggest pockets for the most amount of boes or the biggest community to pull off so many split runs. Not to detract from Method putting big time into it ,it's just feels like their skill actually equates to around 40% the rest being free time, followers, extra gear through billions spent . All of which is almost not possible for any other guild.
Time management is a skill unto itself. The teams competing at that level bring a lot more to the table than just 'more time' and pressing buttons appropriately.

If you played Football 18 hours a day, you could be the best football player in the world. If you played the piano 18 hrs a day, you could be the best piano player in the world. If you played the guitar 18 hours a day you'd be the next Jimi Hendrix.Saying this is pretty much saying "If I was the best X in the world, I'd be the best X in the world". Yes, like most things in life, their success is mostly a matter of time investment. The point isn't what you could be, but what you are.
Objectively it is a bit true.I do not deny that the players of the different First Kills are really good, maybe not the best ever but certainly among the best.Surely, however, having so much time to try the different tactics, to refine the best tactics and your own dps / hps, to pull up several alt to use to always create the best raid setup can really make a difference and this is undeniable. What Blood4u says is not entirely wrong.
This group found something they want to be successful doing, make some money, and have something to hang their hats on. Do they invest a bunch of time to get there? Yep. So? Why does the simple fact that a group of players invests an enormous amount of time to be really, really good at something upset so many people? I get it, jealously is a thing, but if you look at any job, hobby, passion or whatever, those people invest a ton of time at it if they really want to be the best they can be. This road is not for everyone, nor does it need to be. Some people are happy at moving at a different speed and don't mind the traffic passing on the left, others get mad and upset when traffic passes on the left but are unable or unwilling to increase their speed to keep up. Good on Method for their achievements and for sharing information that they do not need to share.
I believe is prioritizing WoW over other life tasks and really the most important thing is to have people around you that understand this passion. Like for instance having to care for a kid or not having life partner that supports you could be a barrier for this. And not just for warcraft but for anything. And most of the streamers either have people around them that understand their "jobs" or they choose this over other things in life. The people at method work really hard, no doubt about it, but they have a life setup that supports this.
